| 3 | Improving the Local Sheep in Gansu via Crossing with Introduced Sheep Breeds Dorset and Borderdale显示文摘In order to improve the meat performance of local sheep in Gansu Province,Dorset and Borderdale were introduced to crossbreed with local sheep which were Tan sheep,Small-tail Han sheep and Mongolia sheep. The offspring under different crossbreeding combinations were sampled randomly at the different growing stage to measure their growth traits so as to select optimize the crossbreeding mode. The results indicated that,for the same crossbreeding mode,the growth rate of progeny was in order F3> F2> F1; for the F3 progeny,the combinations Dorset- Borderdale- Small tail Han sheep and Dorset- Borderdale- Mongolia sheep gave a higher growth rate,with a body weight of 1. 57%,3. 17%,8. 23%,1. 15% higher in male and female individuals than the counterparts of Dorset and Tan sheep and Small tail Han sheep; for the F2 progeny,the combinations Dorset- Borderdale- Small tail Han sheep and Dorset- Borderdale- Mongolia sheep also gave a higher growth rate,with a body weight of 2. 15%,4. 53%,9. 21% and 2. 75% higher in male and female individuals than the counterparts of Dorset and Tan sheep and Small tail Han sheep; for the F1 progeny,the combination Borderdale and Small tail Han sheep assumed a higher growth rate,with a body weight of 3. 23%,6. 07%,7. 42% and 8. 66% higher in male and female individuals than the counterparts of Borderdale- Mongolia sheep and Tan sheep- Small tail Han sheep,respectively. | 5 | Study on Flow Characteristics of a Turbulent Boundary Layer and Vortex Structure of High Pressure Guide Vanes in SCO_2 Turbines显示文摘In order to further understand the aerothermodynamic performance and flow loss mechanism of SCO_2 turbines, RANS equations and an SST Turbulence Model were chosen for a numerical study on the secondary flow and vortex structure of cascades using the commercial software CFX. The dimensionless vorticity analysis method was used to study the flow characteristics of the logarithmic layer and viscous sublayer in high pressure guide vane cascades. The new vortex structure and formation mechanism of the vortices were given and analyzed. Simulation results indicated that during the motion of the boundary layer in the cascades, the logarithmic layer and viscous sublayer obtain the different rotational direction vorticity, respectively. The endwall logarithmic layer and pressure side leg of the horseshoe votex gradually develop into the passage vortex, with the endwall viscous sublayer gradually developing into the corner viscous sublayer vortex II and the endwall viscous sublayer vortex I. The endwall viscous sublayer that rolled by the passage vortex is encountered with the upstream-side and radial boundary layer of the vane at the suction separation line, forming the suction separation line vortex beside the passage vortex. | 10 | Population genomics provides insights into the evolution and adaptation of tree shrews(Tupaia belangeri)in China显示文摘Physiological adaptation of tree shrews(Tupaia belangeri)to changing environmental temperature has been re-ported in detail.However,the T.belangeri origin(mainland or island),population history,and adaptation to histor-ical climate change remain largely unknown or controversial.Here,for thefirst time,we sequenced the simplified genome of 134 T.belangeri individuals from 12 populations in China and further resequenced one individual from each population.Using population genomic approaches,wefirst observed considerable genetic variation in T.be-langeri.Moreover,T.belangeri populations formed obvious genetic structure and reflected different demographic histories;they generally exhibited high genetic diversity,although the isolated populations had relatively low ge-netic diversity.The results presented in this study indicate that T.b.modesta and T.b.tonquinia were separated recently and with a similar population dynamics.Second,physical barriers rather than distance were the driving factors of divergence,and environmental heterogeneity may play an important role in genetic differentiation in T.belangeri.Moreover,our analyses highlight the role of historical global climates in the T.belangeri population dynamics and indicate that the decrease of the T.belangeri population size may be due to the low temperature.Finally,we identified the olfaction-associated adaptive genes between different altitude populations and found that olfactory-related genes of high-altitude populations were selectively eliminated.Our study provides demographic history knowledge of T.belangeri;their adaption history offers new insights into their evolution and adaptation,and provides valuable baseline information for conservation measures. | Yue REN Ting JIA Hao ZHANG Wanlong ZHU Zhengkun WANG | 2023 | Integrative Zoology2023,18,1: | 0 |

| 12 | Characterization of interfaces: Lessons from the past for the future of perovskite solar cells显示文摘A photovoltaic technology historically goes through two major steps to evolve into a mature technology. The first step involves advances in materials and is usually accompanied by the rapid improvement of power conversion efficiency. The second step focuses on interfaces and is usually accompanied by significant stability improvement. As an emerging generation of photovoltaic technology, perovskite solar cells are transitioning to the second step of their development when a significant focus shifts toward interface studies and engineering. While various interface engineering strategies have been developed, interfacial characterization is crucial to show the effectiveness of interfacial modification. Here, we review the characterization techniques that have been utilized in studying interface properties in perovskite solar cells. We first summarize the main roles of interfaces in perovskite solar cells, and then we discuss some typical characterization methodologies for morphological, optical,and electrical studies of interfaces. Successful experiences and existing problems are analyzed when discussing some commonly used methods. We then analyze the challenges and provide an outlook for further development of interfacial characterizations.
