| 2 | DMM:A dynamic memory mapping model for virtual machines显示文摘Memory virtualization is an important part in the design of virtual machine monitors(VMM).In this paper,we proposed dynamic memory mapping(DMM) model,a mechanism that allows the VMM to change the mapping between a virtual machine's physical memory and the underlying hardware resource while the virtual machine is running.By utilizing DMM,the VMM can implement many novel memory management policies,such as Demand Paging,Swapping,Ballooning,Memory Sharing and Copy-On-Write,while preserving compatibility with various architectures.The modular and hierarchical property of the DMM model efficiently incorporates the high-level policies and the low-level implementations,leading to a feature-adjustable VMM design.We presented the principle of the DMM model,and explained the procedures of various memory management policies under this model.Also,we implement the DMM model in KVM,an open source VMM.Our evaluation shows that the DMM model is efficient enough to provide the benefits of dynamic memory resource management with little performance impact. | CHEN HaoGang WANG XiaoLin WANG ZhenLin ZHANG BinBin LUO YingWei LI XiaoMing | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,6: | 11 |
| 3 | A Novel Sensor Deployment Method Based on Image Processing and Wavelet Transform to Optimize the Surface Coverage in WSNs显示文摘A novel sensor deployment method utilize Discrete wavelet transform(DWT) is proposed, and the DWT is used to calculate the sub-band energy entropy to ascertain the coverage cavities in Wireless sensor networks(WSNs). We address the problem of deploying a limit number of sensors to optimize the coverage ratio in 3D surface, while it is a complex surface in space and sensors can be deployed only onto it. Another novel aspect of this paper is that the method followed utilizes an Artificial bee colony algorithm with dynamic search strategy(ABC-DSS), which mimics the behavior of bees, and the new modified ABC-DSS algorithm matches the sensor deployment problems on 3D surface well. | 6 | Ascorbic acid accelerates Wallerian degeneration after peripheral nerve injury显示文摘Wallerian degeneration occurs after peripheral nerve injury and provides a beneficial microenvironment for nerve regeneration.Our previous study demonstrated that ascorbic acid promotes peripheral nerve regeneration,possibly through promoting Schwann cell proliferation and phagocytosis and enhancing macrophage proliferation,migration,and phagocytosis.Because Schwann cells and macrophages are the main cells involved in Wallerian degeneration,we speculated that ascorbic acid may accelerate this degenerative process.To test this hypothesis,400 mg/kg ascorbic acid was administered intragastrically immediately after sciatic nerve transection,and 200 mg/kg ascorbic acid was then administered intragastrically every day.In addition,rat sciatic nerve explants were treated with 200μM ascorbic acid.Ascorbic acid significantly accelerated the degradation of myelin basic protein-positive myelin and neurofilament 200-positive axons in both the transected nerves and nerve explants.Furthermore,ascorbic acid inhibited myelin-associated glycoprotein expression,increased c-Jun expression in Schwann cells,and increased both the number of macrophages and the amount of myelin fragments in the macrophages.These findings suggest that ascorbic acid accelerates Wallerian degeneration by accelerating the degeneration of axons and myelin in the injured nerve,promoting the dedifferentiation of Schwann cells,and enhancing macrophage recruitment and phagocytosis.The study was approved by the Southern Medical University Animal Care and Use Committee(approval No.SMU-L2015081)on October 15,2015. | Lixia Li Yizhou Xu Xianghai Wang Jingmin Liu Xiaofang Hu Dandan Tan Zhenlin Li Jiasong Guo | 2021 | Neural Regeneration Research2021,16,6: | 6 |
| 7 | Autogenous inside-out versus standard vein and skeletal muscle-combined grafting for facial nerve repair显示文摘BACKGROUND:In the repair of nerve defects,collapse of the venous wall,as a result of vein grafting alone,could impede nerve regeneration.Therefore,vein lumens filled with muscle and nerve segments have been used to bridge nerve defects.OBJECTIVE:To compare the effects of autogenous,inside-out,vein-skeletal,muscle-combined grafting versus standard,vein-skeletal,muscle-combined grafting for the repair of facial nerve defects.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,neuroanatomical,animal study was performed at the Animal Experimental Center and Laboratories of the Capital Medical University Xuanwu Hospital and the Peking Union Medical College Hospital from September 2007 to October 2008.MATERIALS:A total of 10 healthy,male,New Zealand rabbits,aged 6 months,were randomly assigned to inside-out,vein-skeletal,muscle-combined grafting and standard,vein-skeletal,muscle-combined grafting groups,with 5 rabbits in each group.METHODS:A 20-mm gap in the buccal branch of the right facial nerve was made in each animal,which was respectively repaired with inside-out,vein-skeletal,muscle-combined grafts or standard vein-skeletal muscle-combined grafts.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:At 6 months after implantation,evoked maximal compound muscle action potentials were recorded on bilateral facial nerves using electromyogram.Myelinated nerve fibers of the regenerating nerves were quantified using myelin sheath osmic acid staining.RESULTS:There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of ratios of bilateral amplitude and latency of compound muscle action potential(P>0.05).Moreover,morphology of regenerating nerves and quantity of myelinated nerve fibers were similar between the groups(P> 0.05).CONCLUTION:Compared with standard vein grafting,the inside-out vein grafting did not significantly improve nerve regeneration.Therefore,it is not necessary to utilize inside-out vein grafting for the repair of nerve defects,in particular with the combined use of autogenous vein and skeletal muscle grafts. | Yulu Li Zhiqiang Gao Zhenlin Wang Yonggang Liu Qiuhang Zhang | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,4: | 5 |

| 11 | Exogenous abscisic acid coordinating leaf senescence and transport of assimilates into wheat grains under drought stress by regulating hormones homeostasis显示文摘Drought at the grain filling stage of wheat will cause premature leaf senescence, thus leading to considerable loss of wheat yield. Therefore, this paper aims to establish a cultivation technology for strong drought resistance, delayed senescence, and yield improvement based on the analysis of hormones homeostasis obtained by applying chemical control substances. Experiments were conducted with two genotypes of wheat. Four water irrigation treatments were applied to impose the water deficit, including well-watered control treatment(WW), mild water deficit(MiWD), moderate water deficit(MoWD), and severe water deficit(SWD). Exogenous abscisic acid(ABA) was sprayed on the plants at the anthesis stage of the wheat. As a result, exogenous ABA reduced initial senescence rate(r0), total duration of chlorophyll(Chltotal), rapid senescence phase(Chlloss), and the accumulated temperature at an inflection point(M) but improved the persistence phase(Chlper) of flag leaves under all of the four treatments. However, exogenous ABA produced inconsistent effects on photoassimilate relocation and grain weight under different treatments. It produced positive regulatory effects on grain weight under WW, MiWD, and MoWD treatments. On the one hand, spraying ABA during the persistence phase of flag leaves reduced the ratios of zeatin to gibberellin(Z/GA3), spermine to spermidine(Spm/Spd), and salicylic acid to ABA(SA/ABA),which prolonged active photosynthesis by stimulating high level of proline(Pro) and increased the activities of antioxidant enzymes, such as superoxide dismutase(SOD), peroxidase(POD), catalase(CAT), and ascorbate peroxidase(APX). Therefore, drought tolerance was enhanced, and more photosynthetic assimilates were accumulated. On the other hand, the rapid senescence phase and the transport rate of assimilates into grains were accelerated, resulting in higher grain weight, yield, and water use efficiency(WUE). However, under SWD treatment, exogenous ABA improved the ratio of SA/ABA, leading to low Pro content and low antioxidant enzyme activity of flag leaves in the rapid loss phase. Meanwhile,drought resistance declined and the transport duration of assimilates into grains was shortened, thus making photosynthetic assimilates redundant. | 13 | Dynamics Modeling and Robust Trajectory Tracking Control for a Class of Hybrid Humanoid Arm Based on Neural Network显示文摘In order to solve the problem of trajectory tracking for a class of novel serial-parallel hybrid humanoid arm(HHA), which has parameters uncertainty, frictions, disturbance, abrasion and pulse forces derived from motors, a multistep dynamics modeling strategy is proposed and a robust controller based on neural network(NN)-adaptive algorithm is designed. At the first step of dynamics modeling, the dynamics model of the reduced HHA is established by Lagrange method. At the second step of dynamics modeling, the parameter uncertain part resulting mainly from the idealization of the HHA is learned by adaptive algorithm. In the trajectory tracking controller, the radial basis function(RBF) NN, whose optimal weights are learned online by adaptive algorithm, is used to learn the upper limit function of the total uncertainties including frictions, disturbances, abrasion and pulse forces. To a great extent, the conservatism of this robust trajectory tracking controller is reduced, and by this controller the HHA can impersonate mostly human actions. | 14 | Dynamic memory paravirtualization transparent to guest OS显示文摘This paper introduces dynamic paravirtualization, which imitates paravirtualization and aims at reducing VM exits of full virtualization with hardware support. In dynamic paravirtualization, VMM (virtual machine monitor) dynamically monitors and replaces the hot instructions, which cause most VM exits. It is transparent to the guest OS such that the legacy OSes can benefit from this optimization. Our study focuses on reducing the overhead of memory virtualization-dynamic memory paravirtualization (DMP). We implant a new memory management mechanism in VMM such that all user-mode page faults can be handled by the guest OS directly without VM exits. We implement a prototype of dynamic memory paravirtulization based on a version of KVM using Intel VT. Our experimental results show that our technique essentially eliminates the overhead of VM exits caused by page faults. | 17 | Interactions between cytokinin and nitrogen contribute to grain mass in wheat cultivars by regulating the flag leaf senescence process显示文摘Premature senescence after anthesis reduces crop yields.Delaying leaf senescence could maintain photosynthetic activity for a longer period and lead to a higher photosynthetic rate.Recent studies have provided some insights into the interaction between cytokinin and nitrogen(N)in the regulation of plant development.In the present study,foliar application of exogenous 6-benzylaminopurine(6-BA)and lovastatin,an inhibitor of cytokinin synthesis,was combined with three N rates[0 kg ha^(-1)(low nitrogen,LN),240 kg ha^(-1)(normal nitrogen,NN),and 360 kg ha^(-1)(high nitrogen,HN)]in two wheat cultivars,Wennong 6(with a staygreen phenotype)and Jimai 20(with a non-staygreen phenotype).Flag leaf senescence was assessed using a Gompertz growth curve.Grain mass,dry matter accumulation and distribution,total N of flag leaf,and concentrations of zeatin riboside(ZR)and abscisic acid(ABA)were also used to evaluate the functional characteristics of flag leaves.Grain mass was negatively correlated with initial senescence rate(r_0)and duration of rapid chlorophyll loss(Chl_(loss)),whereas it was positively correlated with maximum senescence rate(r_(max)),average senescence rate(r_(aver)),persistence phase(Chl_(per)),total duration of flag leaf(Chl_(total))and inflection point cumulative temperature(M).Compared to Jimai 20,Wennong 6 had larger r_(aver),Chl_(per),and Chl_(total).The concentration of ZR was highest under the 6-BA×NN treatment,followed by the 6-BA×HN and 6-BA×LN treatments.However,the concentration of ABA showed the opposite trend.It was concluded that the staygreen phenotype Wennong 6 was associated with greater grain mass and altered cytokinin metabolism and could be classified as a functional staygreen type.Foliar application of 6-BA interacting with N at the NN level(240 kg ha^(-1))may be a beneficial strategy for improving grain yield of wheat by regulating endogenous hormones and the flag leaf senescence process.Increasing endogenous cytokinin promoted the transport of dry matter to grain. | Yongli Luo Yuhai Tang Xin Zhang Wenqian Li Yonglan Chang Dangwei Pang Xu Xu Yong Li Zhenlin Wang | 2018 | The Crop Journal2018,6,5: | 2 |

On the basis of the existing eccentric injection mandrel, used the energy storage character of air energy accumulator and the pressure switch character of pressure control valve, fixed the plunger valve for pressure control on the position of blanking plug, then developed one new injection mandrel with low frequency character, which can inject water continuously with low, ultra low frequency.
