1The chromosome-level quality genome provides insights into the evolution of the biosynthesis genes for aroma compounds of Osmanthus fragrans显示文摘Sweet osmanthus(Osmanthus fragrans)is a very popular ornamental tree species throughout Southeast Asia and USA particularly for its extremely fragrant aroma.We constructed a chromosome-level reference genome of O.fragrans to assist in studies of the evolution,genetic diversity,and molecular mechanism of aroma development.A total of over 118 Gb of polished reads was produced from HiSeq(45.1 Gb)and PacBio Sequel(73.35 Gb),giving 100×depth coverage for long reads.The combination of Illumina-short reads,PacBio-long reads,and Hi-C data produced the final chromosome quality genome of O.fragrans with a genome size of 727 Mb and a heterozygosity of 1.45%.The genome was annotated using de novo and homology comparison and further refined with transcriptome data.The genome of O.fragrans was predicted to have 45,542 genes,of which 95.68%were functionally annotated.Genome annotation found 49.35%as the repetitive sequences,with long terminal repeats(LTR)being the richest(28.94%).Genome evolution analysis indicated the evidence of whole-genome duplication 15 million years ago,which contributed to the current content of 45,242 genes.Metabolic analysis revealed that linalool,a monoterpene is the main aroma compound.Based on the genome and transcriptome,we further demonstrated the direct connection between terpene synthases(TPSs)and the rich aromatic molecules in O.fragrans.We identified three new flower-specific TPS genes,of which the expression coincided with the production of linalool.Our results suggest that the high number of TPS genes and the flower tissue-and stage-specific TPS genes expressions might drive the strong unique aroma production of O.fragrans.Xiulian Yang Yuanzheng Yue Haiyan Li Wenjie Ding Gongwei Chen Tingting Shi Junhao Chen Min S.Park Fei Chen Lianggui Wang 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:16

3Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. 4Enhanced aromatic selectivity by the sheet-like ZSM-5 in syngas conversion显示文摘Aromatics are important basic chemicals. However, direct conversion of syngas via the conventional Fischer-Tropsch synthesis produces little aromatics. We presented herein that a bifunctional composite of ZSM-5 in combination with Zn Cr Oxcatalyzes syngas conversion to aromatics. Particularly, ZSM-5 crystals with a sheet-like morphology can enhance significantly the aromatization activity. The lower length ratio of the b/a axes of the crystals, the more aromatics form but without influencing the selectivity of small molecules such as CH4 and C2–C4. 5Spectral characteristic of infrared radiations of some acupoint and non-acupoint areas in human arm surface显示文摘Using infrared spectrum detective device, we experiment on Neiguan, Laogong and Hegu acupoints of seven adult volunteers as well as contrastive points beside ones. We get 63 infrared spectrums. The experiment outcome tells us that the differences of the intensities among individuals are great, and so are the differences between acupoint and non-acupoint areas. 6Exogenous abscisic acid coordinating leaf senescence and transport of assimilates into wheat grains under drought stress by regulating hormones homeostasis显示文摘Drought at the grain filling stage of wheat will cause premature leaf senescence, thus leading to considerable loss of wheat yield. Therefore, this paper aims to establish a cultivation technology for strong drought resistance, delayed senescence, and yield improvement based on the analysis of hormones homeostasis obtained by applying chemical control substances. Experiments were conducted with two genotypes of wheat. Four water irrigation treatments were applied to impose the water deficit, including well-watered control treatment(WW), mild water deficit(MiWD), moderate water deficit(MoWD), and severe water deficit(SWD). Exogenous abscisic acid(ABA) was sprayed on the plants at the anthesis stage of the wheat. As a result, exogenous ABA reduced initial senescence rate(r0), total duration of chlorophyll(Chltotal), rapid senescence phase(Chlloss), and the accumulated temperature at an inflection point(M) but improved the persistence phase(Chlper) of flag leaves under all of the four treatments. However, exogenous ABA produced inconsistent effects on photoassimilate relocation and grain weight under different treatments. It produced positive regulatory effects on grain weight under WW, MiWD, and MoWD treatments. On the one hand, spraying ABA during the persistence phase of flag leaves reduced the ratios of zeatin to gibberellin(Z/GA3), spermine to spermidine(Spm/Spd), and salicylic acid to ABA(SA/ABA),which prolonged active photosynthesis by stimulating high level of proline(Pro) and increased the activities of antioxidant enzymes, such as superoxide dismutase(SOD), peroxidase(POD), catalase(CAT), and ascorbate peroxidase(APX). Therefore, drought tolerance was enhanced, and more photosynthetic assimilates were accumulated. On the other hand, the rapid senescence phase and the transport rate of assimilates into grains were accelerated, resulting in higher grain weight, yield, and water use efficiency(WUE). However, under SWD treatment, exogenous ABA improved the ratio of SA/ABA, leading to low Pro content and low antioxidant enzyme activity of flag leaves in the rapid loss phase. Meanwhile,drought resistance declined and the transport duration of assimilates into grains was shortened, thus making photosynthetic assimilates redundant. 7Diamond/β-SiC film as adhesion-enhanced interlayer for top diamond coatings on cemented tungsten carbide substrate显示文摘In present work, diamond/β-SiC composite interlayers were deposited on cemented tungsten carbide(WC-6%Co) substrates by microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(MPCVD) using H_2,CH_4 and tetramethylsilane(TMS) gas mixtures. The microstructure, chemical bonding, element distribution and crystalline quality of the composite interlayers were systematically characterized by means of field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS), electron probe microanalysis(EPMA), Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron microscropy(TEM). The influences of varying TMS flow rates on the diamond/β-SiC composite interlayers were investigated. Through changing the TMS flow rates in the reaction gas, the volume fraction of β-SiC in the composite interlayers were tunable in the range of 12.0%–68.1%. XPS and EPMA analysis reveal that the composite interlayers are composed of C, Si element with little cobalt distribution. The better crystallinity of the diamond in the composite is characterized based on the Raman spectroscopy, which are helpful to deposit top diamond coatings with high quality. Then, the adhesion of top diamond coatings were estimated using Rockwell C indentation analysis, revealing that the adhesion of top diamond coatings on the WC-6%Co substrates can be improved by the interlayers with the diamond/β-SiC composite structures. Comprehensive TEM interfacial analysis exhibits that the cobalt diffusion is weak from WC-6%Co substrate to the composite interlayer. The homogeneous microcrystalline diamond coatings with the most excellent adhesion can be fabricated on the substrates with the composite interlayer with the β-SiC/diamond ratio of about 45%. 8Train model acceleration and deceleration显示文摘In order to accelerate a heavy train model with great dimensions to a speed higher than 300 km h?1 in a moving train model testing system,compressed air is utilized to drive the train model indirectly.The gas from an air gun pushes the piston in an accelerating tube forward.The piston is connected to the trailer through a rope,and the trailer pulls the train model to the desired speed.After the testing section,the train model enters the deceleration section.The speed of the train model gradually decreases because of the braking force of the magnetic braking device on the bottom of the train model and the steel plates fixed on the floor of this device.The dissipation of kinetic energy of the trailer is also based on a similar principle.The feasibility of these methods has been examined in a 180 m-long moving train model testing system.The speed of the trailer alone reaches up to 490 km h-1.Consequently,a 34.8 kg model accelerates up to 350 km h?1;the smooth and safe stopping of the model is also possible.YANG QianSuo SONG JunHao LI Duo ZHANG Jie YANG GuoWei 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,7:3

10High-quality instant black tea manufactured using fresh tea leaves by two-stage submerged enzymatic processing显示文摘Repeated thermal treatment could impair the flavor of instant black tea(IBT)as the volatile compounds and characteristic constituents dramatically vary during the manufacturing process.Utilization of fresh leaves as raw material in IBT manufacture at low temperature may become an alternative to conventional extraction methods.This study aimed to improve the quality of IBT using fresh tea leaves by a two-stage enzymatic processing.The influence of combined enzymatic oxidation and extraction conditions for maximal extractable flavour(taste and aroma)characteristics from fresh tea leaves were investigated.The changes of aroma profiles and chemical constituents including theaflavins(TFs),thearubigins(TRs),theabrownines(TBs)and TRs/TFs ratio in converted tea brews under two-stage enzyme catalyzed fermentation and extraction conditions were further compared between different treatments,based on which the optimised conditions were determined.During the two-stage enzymatic processing,75 kinds of volatile compounds were identified in all processed samples,and the contents of TFs,TRs,TBs and TRs/TFs ratio could be optimized by adjusting different procedures and parameters.The overall properties of final product were compared with two types of commercial IBT.High quality IBT with desired properties and antioxidant activity can be manufactured using fresh tea leaves by two-stage enzymatic processing approach.Junhao Kong Xiufang Yang Xiaobo Zuo Xiaoqin Su Bing Hu Xinle Liang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:2
11From similarity perspective: a robust collaborative filtering approach for service recommendations显示文摘Collaborative filtering (CF) is a technique commonly used for personalized recommendation and Web service quality-of-service (QoS) prediction. However, CF is vulnerable to shilling attackers who inject fake user profiles into the system. In this paper, we first present the shilling attack problem on CF-based QoS recommender systems for Web services. Then, a robust CF recommendation approach is proposed from a user similarity perspective to enhance the resistance of the recommender systems to the shilling attack. In the approach, the generally used similarity measures are analyzed, and the DegSim (the degree of similarities with top k neighbors) with those measures is selected for grouping and weighting the users. Then, the weights are used to calculate the service similarities/differences and predictions. We analyzed and evaluated our algorithms using WS-DREAM and Movielens datasets. 12Early changes to the extracellular space in the hippocampus under simulated microgravity conditions显示文摘The smooth transportation of substances through the brain extracellular space(ECS)is crucial to maintaining brain function;however,the way this occurs under simulated microgravity remains unclear.In this study,tracer-based magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and DECS-mapping techniques were used to image the drainage of brain interstitial fluid(ISF)from the ECS of the hippocampus in a tail-suspended hindlimb-unloading rat model at day 3(HU-3)and 7(HU-7).The results indicated that drainage of the ISF was accelerated in the HU-3 group but slowed markedly in the HU-7 group.The tortuosity of the ECS decreased in the HU-3 group but increased in the HU-7 group,while the volume fraction of the ECS increased in both groups.The diffusion rate within the ECS increased in the HU-3 group and decreased in the HU-7 group.The alterations to ISF drainage and diffusion in the ECS were recoverable in the HU-3 group,but neither parameter was restored in the HU-7 group.Our findings suggest that early changes to the hippocampal ECS and ISF drainage under simulated microgravity can be detected by tracer-based MRI,providing a new perspective for studying microgravity-induced nano-scale structure abnormities and developing neuroprotective approaches involving the brain ECS.Yajuan Gao Hongbin Han Jichen Du Qingyuan He Yanxing Jia Junhao Yan Hui Dai Bin Cui Jing Yang Xunbin Wei Liu Yang Rui Wang Ren Long Qiushi Ren Xing Yang Jiabin Lu 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,3:2

15Phase Engineering of CoMo0_(4)Anode Materials toward Improved Cycle Life for Li^(+)Storage显示文摘Anode materials based on conversion reactions usually possess high energy densities for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,they suffer from poor rate performance and cycle life due to serious volume changes.Herein,α/β-CoMo04 heterogeneous nanorods are synthesized via a facile co-precipitation method,and further are phase-engineered through varying calcination temperature,accomplishing the obviously improved cycle life and rate performance as anodes for LIBs.When evaluated at a current density of 1.0 A·g^(-1)the optimal nanorods with anα/βphase ratio of 6.0 afford the reversible capacity of 1143.6 mAh·g^(-1)after 200 cycles,outperforming most of recently reported bimetal oxides.Li^(+)storage mechanism is further analyzed by using in-situ X-ray diffraction and ex-situ transition electronic microscopy.It's revealed thatβ-CoMoO_(4)follows a one-step conversion reaction;whileα-CoMo0_(4)proceeds an intercalation pathway before the conversion reaction.Grading storage of Li^(+)would alleviate the volume effect of heterostructuredα/β-CoMo0_(4),forming electronically conductive network evenly composed of Co and Mo nanograins to enable the reversible electrochemical conversion.This work is anticipated to give some hints for the rational design of high-performance energy materials.Xiaoqing Huang Junhao Li Wenbiao Zhang Wenjie Huang Lichun Yang Qingsheng Gao 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,5:1

20Nonlinear electronic and ultrafast optical signatures in chemical vapor-deposited ultrathin PtS_(2) ribbons显示文摘The emerging two-dimensional(2D)platinum disulfide(PtS_(2))has driven increasing attentions due to its high electron mobility,good air-stability,and strong interlayer interaction which leads to a widely tunable electronic structure.However,a detailed study on its covalent-like layer-dependent properties remains infant.Herein,we demonstrate the successful production of ultrathin 1T-PtS_(2) ribbons with thickness centralized almost at monolayer 1L-4L and large domain size up to 210 μm on Au foils using chemical vapor deposition(CVD)technique,which enables macro-and microscopic study of its extraordinary layer-dependent features with precise control of the number of layers.Using electron energy loss spectroscopy(EELS)and optical pump-probe spectroscopy(OPPS),we reveal that both the electron and ultrafast optical absorption signals of the as-grown 2D PtS_(2) show strong nonlinear layer-dependent responses which manifest discriminated transition in 1L-4L PtS_(2) ribbons.The layer-dependent nonlinear response of 2D PtS_(2) can be well interpreted in the frame of calculated electron and phonon structures.These achievements offer a platform for successfully fabricating large-sized ultrathin 2D PtS_(2) and facilitating our knowledge about its electronic and optoelectronic properties.Shaolong Jiang Jin Yang Liang Zhu Jiafeng Xie Weiteng Guo Erding Zhao Chaoyu Chen Tianwu Wang Fuhai Su Yanfeng Zhang Junhao Lin 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:1
