1A Road Extraction Method for Remote Sensing Image Based on Encoder-Decoder Network显示文摘According to the characteristics of the road features,an Encoder-Decoder deep semantic segmentation network is designed for the road extraction of remote sensing images.Firstly,as the features of the road target are rich in local details and simple in semantic features,an Encoder-Decoder network with shallow layers and high resolution is designed to improve the ability to represent detail information.Secondly,as the road area is a small proportion in remote sensing images,the cross-entropy loss function is improved,which solves the imbalance between positive and negative samples in the training process.Experiments on large road extraction datasets show that the proposed method gets the recall rate 83.9%,precision 82.5%and F1-score 82.9%,which can extract the road targets in remote sensing images completely and accurately.The Encoder-Decoder network designed in this paper performs well in the road extraction task and needs less artificial participation,so it has a good application prospect.Hao HE Shuyang WANG Shicheng WANG Dongfang YANG Xing LIU 2020Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,2:20

3Apatite fission track dating evidence on the tectonization of Gangdese block, south Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘This work makes the quantitative constrain on tectonizations of the Gangdese block, south Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Apatite fission track (AFT) dating analyses of 15 samples collected across the Gangdese block show that the Gangdese block went through two periods of tectonizations, during -37.2-18.5 Ma and 18.5 - 8.0 Ma in the south Gangdese block, and during -47.6-5.3 Ma and 5.3-0 Ma in the middle Gangdese block. Different upliftings did not take place in the first period and rapid uplifting occurred in the late period. Meantime, there are some differences be-tween the south and middle Gangdese block. Their uplifting rate is 180 m/Ma and 70 m/Ma respectively. The rapid up-lifting time in the middle Gangdese block lagged behind the time in the south Gangdese block. 4Evaluating the accuracy of Chinese pasture data in global historical land use datasets显示文摘Global historical land use datasets are widely used in global environmental change studies; however, uncertainties in the included pasture data have not been evaluated. In this study, using trend, relative difference ratio(RDR), and spatial comparisons, we evaluated the accuracy of China pasture data in the HYDE(versions 3.1 and 3.2), SAGE, and PJ datasets using historical document-based reconstructions, including the land use datasets for China covering 1935–1997(hereafter Ge-dataset)and Northeast China covering the 1700 s–2000(hereafter Ye-dataset), and the satellite-based China's Land-Use/cover Datasets(CLUDs) for 1980–2015. Four important results were obtained.(1) China pasture area in the HYDE, SAGE, and PJ datasets and grassland area in the Ge-dataset, Ye-dataset, and CLUDs show both disparate trends and large differences in absolute values.(2)Spatially, 50.9%, 52.8%, and 63.0% pasture/grassland grids in 2000 had RDRs greater than 60% between HYDE3.1, HYDE3.2,and SAGE datasets, and CLUDs, respectively. The percentage of grids with RDRs less than 20% were 24.9%, 26.7%, and 16.0%,respectively.(3) Based on HYDE3.2, the spatial distribution of pasture in Northeast China over the last 300 year has expanded,which is in contrast to the results from the Ye-dataset, which shows the spatial distribution of grassland shrinking because of human reclamation activities.(4) The large contrasts between the global datasets and Chinese native datasets are due to differences in pasture/grassland definitions, land use practices, and spatial reconstruction methods.Fanneng HE Shicheng LI Fan YANG Meijiao LI 2018Science China Earth Sciences2018,61,11:7
5Numerical and experimental investigation into hypersonic boundary layer transition induced by roughness elements显示文摘In this work, the Direct Numerical Simulation(DNS) and Oil-Film Interferometry(OFI)technique are used to investigate the hypersonic boundary layer transition induced by single and double roughness elements at Mach number 5. For single roughness, the DNS results showed that both horseshoe vortices and hairpin vortices caused by shear layer instability can affect the boundary layer instability. The generation of the near-wall unstable structure is the key point of boundary layer transition behind the roughness element. At the downstream of the roughness element, the interaction between horseshoe vortices and hairpin vortices will spread in the spanwise direction.For double roughness elements, the effect of the spacing between roughness elements on the transition is studied. It is found that the case of higher spacing between roughness elements is more effective for inducing transition than the lower one. The interaction between two adjacent roughness elements can suppress the evolution of horseshoe vortices in the downstream and trigger the instability of shear layer. 9An ice-core record of vegetation and climate changes in the central Tibetan Plateau during the last 550 years显示文摘We present a 550-year ice-core pollen record with a 5-year resolution from the Puruogangri ice field in the central Tibetan Plateau.Analysis of the relationship between pollen record and instrumental observations suggests that the sum of the steppe and meadow pollen taxa is a good indicator of summer (June-August) temperature,whereas the ratios of Cyperaceae/(Gramineae+Artemisia) [Cy/(G+A)] as well as M/S (meadow to steppe percentages) are indicative of humidity changes in this region.Together with δ18O and glacial accumulation records,the response of vegetation to climate change over the past 500 years was revealed.Desert vegetation dominated during 1450-1640 AD,a time period characterized by cold-wet climate,while steppe vegetation expanded during 1640-1915 when warm-dry climate prevailed.Afterwards,during a cold and humid period,desert vegetation expanded again.Since 1980-2002,due to the increase of summer temperatures,steppe and meadow vegetation predominates,while areas with desert vegetation are reduced.This proxy series is the first high-resolution ice-core pollen record spanning the last 550 years for the central Tibetan Plateau.YANG Bao TANG LingYu LI ChunHai SHAO YaJun TAO ShiCheng YANG LunQing 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,12:4

15Constitutive androstane receptor induced-hepatomegaly and liver regeneration is partially via yes-associated protein activation显示文摘The constitutive androstane receptor(CAR, NR3 I1) belongs to nuclear receptor superfamily.It was reported that CAR agonist TCPOBOP induces hepatomegaly but the underlying mechanism remains largely unknown. Yes-associated protein(YAP) is a potent regulator of organ size. The aim of this study is to explore the role of YAP in CAR activation-induced hepatomegaly and liver regeneration.TCPOBOP-induced CAR activation on hepatomegaly and liver regeneration was evaluated in wildtype(WT) mice, liver-specific YAP-deficient mice, and partial hepatectomy(PHx) mice. The results demonstrate that TCPOBOP can increase the liver-to-body weight ratio in wild-type mice and PHx mice.Hepatocytes enlargement around central vein(CV) area was observed, meanwhile hepatocytesproliferation was promoted as evidenced by the increased number of KI67+cells around portal vein(PV)area. The protein levels of YAP and its downstream targets were upregulated in TCPOBOP-treated mice and YAP translocation can be induced by CAR activation. Co-immunoprecipitation results suggested a potential proteineprotein interaction of CAR and YAP. However, CAR activation-induced hepatomegaly can still be observed in liver-specific YAP-deficient(Yape/e) mice. 16Bone infection site targeting nanoparticle-antibiotics delivery vehicle to enhance treatment efficacy of orthopedic implant related infection显示文摘Orthopedic implants account for 99%of orthopedic surgeries,however,orthopedic implant-related infection is one of the most serious complications owing to the potential for limb-threatening sequelae and mortality.Current antibiotic treatments still lack the capacity to target bone infection sites,thereby resulting in unsatisfactory therapeutic effects.Here,the bone infection site targeting efficacy of D6 and UBI29-41 peptides was investigated,and bone-and-bacteria dual-targeted nanoparticles(NPs)with D6 and UBI29-41 peptides were first fabricated to target bone infection site and control the release of vancomycin in bone infection site.The results of this study demonstrated that the bone-and-bacteria dual-targeted mesoporous silica NPs exhibit excellent bone and bacteria targeting efficacy,excellent biocompatibility and effective antibacterial properties in vitro.Furthermore,in a rat model of orthopedic implant-related infection with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus,the growth of bacteria was evidently inhibited without cytotoxicity,thus realizing the early treatment of implant-related infection.Hence,the bone-and-bacteria dual-targeted molecule-modified NPs may target bacteria-infected bone sites and act as ideal candidates for the therapy of orthopedic implant-related infections.Bin’en Nie Shicheng Huo Xinhua Qu Jingjing Guo Xi Liu Qimin Hong You Wang Jianping Yang Bing Yue 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,10:2

18Wood waste biochar promoted anaerobic digestion of food waste:focusing on the characteristics of biochar and microbial community analysis显示文摘Anaerobic digestion(AD)has been considered as a promising technique for food waste(FW)recycling.However,the accumulation of volatile fatty acids(VFAs)restricts the stability of anaerobic reactors.The present study investigated the use of biochar produced at different conditions(750℃-30 min,750℃-60 min,750℃-120 min,550℃-60 min,650℃-60 min,850℃-60 min,950℃-60 min)for enhancing the AD of FW.Batch experiments showed that all the biochar increased the methane production rates and biochar obtained at 750℃-60 min resulted in the highest enhance-ment by 21.5%.It was further showed surface oxygen-containing functional groups and graphitization degree of biochar were the critical factors for improving methane production.Microbial analysis showed that biochar addi-tion formed different microbial communities,and Methanosaeta,Romboutsia,and norank_f_Anaerolineaceae were enriched,which might be correlated with direct interspecies electron transfer(DIET).This research showed biochar could enhance the AD of FW and also revealed the main characteristics of biochar relating with the enhancement of AD.Chao Zhang Rui Yang Meichen Sun Shicheng Zhang Mingjing He Daniel C.W.Tsang Gang Luo 2022Biochar2022,4,1:2
19Essential role of Msx1 in regulating anterior-posterior patterning of the secondary palate in mice显示文摘Development of the secondary palate displays molecular heterogeneity along the anterior-posterior axis;however, the underlying molecular mechanism remains largely unknown. MSX1 is an anteriorly expressed transcription repressor required for palate development. Here, we investigate the role of Msx1 in regional patterning of the secondary palate. The Wnt1-Cre-mediated expression of Msx1(Rosa Msx1^(Wnt1-Cre))throughout the palatal mesenchyme leads to cleft palate in mice, associated with aberrant cell proliferation and cell death. Osteogenic patterning of the hard palate in Rosa Msx1^(Wnt1-Cre)mice is severely impaired, as revealed by a marked reduction in palatine bone formation and decreased expression of the osteogenic regulator Sp7. Overexpression and knockout of Msx1 in mice show that the transcription repressor promotes the expression of the anterior palate-specific Alx1 but represses the expression of the medialposterior palate genes Barx1, Meox2, and Tbx22. Furthermore, Tbx22 constitutes a direct Msx1 target gene in the secondary palate, suggesting that Msx1 can directly repress the expression of medial-posterior specific genes. Finally, we determine that Sp7 is downstream of Tbx22 in palatal mesenchymal cells,suggesting that a Msx1/Tbx22/Sp7 axis participates in the regulation of palate development.
