| 2 | Pyrosequencing Reveals Significant Changes in Microbial Communities Along the Ecological Succession of Biological Soil Crustsin the Tengger Desert of China显示文摘Biological soil crusts(BSCs)have important ecological functions in arid and semiarid lands,but they remain poorly understood in terms of the changes in microbial communities during BSC succession under in situ field conditions.Here,454 pyrosequencing was used to assess the microbial community composition of four BSC types in the Tengger Desert of China:alga,lichen(cyanolichen and green alga-lichen),and moss crusts,representing early,middle,and final successional stages of BSCs,respectively.The results showed the highest diversity of microbial communities inhabiting lichen crusts,whereas the lowest diversity was observed in moss crusts.Five phyla,Proteobacteria,Actinobacteria,Cyanobacteria,Bacteroidetes,and Acidobacteria,accounted for about 72% to 87%of total prokaryotic sequences in different BSCs.The most abundant eukaryotic microorganism was Ascomycota,accounting for 47%to 93%of the total eukaryotic sequences.Along the succession of BSCs,the abundance of photoautotrophic Cyanobacteria,Chlorophyta,and Bacillariophyta declined,and that of heterotrophic microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi increased.Statistical analysis showed clear divergency of microbial taxa at the class level among the different successional stages of BSCs.The clustering results at class level showed that the moss crusts were the farthest from the rest in prokaryotic composition;the alga crusts were the most different in terms of eukaryotic microorganisms and the two kinds of lichen crusts were relatively closer in both compositions.Ordination analysis showed that the main variations of community structure among BSCs could be explained best by the abundance of Cyanobacteria and Ascomycota and by physiochemical properties of BSCs,including mechanical composition,moisture,and electrical conductivity.In conclusion,our results indicate that Cyanobacteria and Ascomycota likely play an important role in the evolution of BSC structure and functions and highlight the importance of environmental factors in shaping microbial community structures of BSCs in the Tengger Desert of China. | ZHANG Qingyi WANG Qiong OUYANG Hailong LAN Shubin HU Chunxiang | 2018 | Pedosphere2018,28,2: | 9 |
| 3 | BiVO4/TiO2(N2) Nanotubes Heterojunction Photoanode for Highly Efficient Photoelectrocatalytic Applications显示文摘We report the development of a novel visible response BiVO_4/TiO_2(N_2) nanotubes photoanode for photoelectrocatalytic applications. The nitrogen-treated TiO_2 nanotube shows a high carrier concentration rate, thus resulting in a high efficient charge transportation and low electron–hole recombination in the TiO_2–BiVO_4. Therefore, the BiVO_4/TiO_2(N_2) NTs photoanode enabled with a significantly enhanced photocurrent of 2.73 mA cm^(-2)(at 1 V vs. Ag/Ag Cl) and a degradation efficiency in the oxidation of dyes under visible light. | 7 | High Thermoelectric Performance of Cu-Doped PbSe-PbS System Enabled by High-Throughput Experimental Screening显示文摘Recent advances in high-throughput(HTP)computational power and machine learning have led to great achievements in exploration of new thermoelectric materials.However,experimental discovery and optimization of thermoelectric materials have long relied on the traditional Edisonian trial and error approach.Herein,we demonstrate that ultrahigh thermoelectric performance in a Cu-doped PbSe-PbS system can be realized by HTP experimental screening and precise property modulation.Combining the HTP experimental technique with transport model analysis,an optimal Se/S ratio showing high thermoelectric performance has been efficiently screened out.Subsequently,based on the screened Se/S ratio,the doping content of Cu has been subtly adjusted to reach the optimum carrier concentration.As a result,an outstanding peak zT~1:6 is achieved at 873 K for a 1.8 at%Cu-doped PbSe_(0.6)S_(0.4) sample,which is the superior value among the n-type Te-free lead chalcogenides.We anticipate that current work will stimulate large-scale unitization of the HTP experimental technique in the thermoelectric field,which can greatly accelerate the research and development of new high-performance thermoelectric materials. | Li You Zhili Li Quanying Ma Shiyang He Qidong Zhang Feng Wang Guoqiang Wu Qingyi Li Pengfei Luo Jiye Zhang Jun Luo | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 4 |
| 8 | Electronic structure and optical property of boron doped semiconducting graphene nanoribbons显示文摘We present a system study on the electronic structure and optical property of boron doped semiconducting graphene nanoribbons using the density functional theory. Energy band structure, density of states, deformation density, Mulliken popular and optical spectra are considered to show the special electronic structure of boron doped semiconducting graphene nanoribbons. The C-B bond form is discussed in detail. From our analysis it is concluded that the Fermi energy of boron doped semiconducting graphene nanoribbons gets lower than that of intrinsic semiconducting graphene nanoribbons. Our results also show that the boron doped semiconducting graphene nanoribbons behave as p-type semiconducting and that the absorption coefficient of boron doped armchair graphene nanoribbons is generally enhanced between 2.0 eV and 3.3 eV. | 10 | Carboniferous integrative stratigraphy and timescale of China显示文摘The Carboniferous period lasted about 60 Myr, from ~358.9 Ma to ~298.9 Ma. According to the International Commission on Stratigraphy, the Carboniferous System is subdivided into two subsystems, i.e., Mississippian and Pennsylvanian, including 6 series and 7 stages. The Global Stratotype Sections and Points(GSSPs) of three stages have been ratified, the Tournaisian, Visean, and Bashkirian stages. The GSSPs of the remaining four stages(i.e., the Serpukhovian, Moscovian,Kasimovian, and Gzhelian) have not been ratified so far. This paper outlines Carboniferous stratigraphic subdivision and correlation on the basis of detailed biostratigraphy mainly from South China, and summarizes the Carboniferous chronostratigraphic framework of China. High-resolution biostratigraphic study reveals 37 conodont zones, 24 foraminiferal(including fusulinid) zones, 13 ammonoid zones, 10 brachiopod zones, and 10 rugose coral zones in the Carboniferous of China. The biostratigraphic framework based on these biozones warrants the precise correlation of regional stratigraphy of China(including2 subsystems, 4 series, and 8 stages) to that of the other regions globally. Meanwhile, the Carboniferous chemo-, sequence-,cyclo-, and event-stratigraphy of China have been intensively studied and can also be correlated worldwide. | 12 | Effectiveness of herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture on polycystic ovary syndrome in patients with symptom pattern of kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture on polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)in patients with symptom pattern of kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness.METHODS:Totally 62 PCOS patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into intervention group and control group.In the intervention group,acupoints were subjected to(43±1)℃herb-partitioned moxibustion and electroacupuncture treatment.In the control group,acupoints were subjected to(37±1)℃herb-partitioned moxibustion and sham electroacupuncture treatment.Treatment was provided 3 times per week for 12 weeks,and the treatment was stopped during menstruation.After the treatment,the clinical efficacy,the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)symptom pattern score,basal body temperature(BBT)levels,menstrual cycle,and related sex hormone levels of the two groups were evaluated.RESULTS:Sixty patients were eventually included in the study(30 in the intervention group and 30 in the control group).There were not obvious between-group differences in the baseline efficacy parameters(all P>0.05).(a)After treatment,the two groups have improved in terms of clinical efficacy,TCM symptom pattern score,menstrual cycle and,BBT(P<0.01,<0.05),and the intervention group was better than the control group(P<0.01,<0.05).(b)In the intervention group,the estradiol(E2)and P450 aromatase(P450 arom)levels were increased(all P<0.05),the testosterone(T)level was decreased(P<0.05),and the luteotropic hormone(LH)and anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH)levels were significantly decreased(P<0.01).In the control group,E2 level was increased(P<0.05),and LH level was decreased(P<0.05).After treatment,the T,LH,and AMH levels of the intervention group were decreased compared with those of the control group(all P<0.05),and the P450 arom level was increased(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture can effectively improve the related clinical symptoms of PCOS patients with kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness.Herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture may inhibit the overexpression of AMH to increase the expression level of P450 arom in ovarian granulosa cells,thereby reconstructing the dependence of follicular development on FSH,and finally improving abnormal follicular development and hyperandrogenism in PCOS patients with kidney deficiency and phlegmdampness. | ZHAO Qingyi SUN Yi ZHOU Jing GAO Yanling MA Guizhi HU Zhihai WANG Yi SHI Yin | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6: | 1 |

| 17 | Highly oriented MAPbI3 crystals for efficient hole-conductor-free printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells显示文摘Highly crystalline perovskite films with large grains and few grain boundaries are conducive for efficient and stable perovskite solar cells.Current methods for preparing perovskite films are mostly based on a fast crystallization process,with rapid nucleation and insufficient growth.In this study,MAPbI3 perovskite with inhibited nucleation and promoted growth in the TiO_(2)/ZrO_(2)/carbon triple mesoscopic scaffold was crystallized by modulating the precursor and the crystallization process.N-methylformamide showed high solubility for both methylammonium iodide and Pbl2 and hampered the formation of large colloids in the MAPbI3 precursor solution.Furthermore,methylammonium chloride was added to reduce large colloids,which are a possible source of nucleation sites.During the crystallization of MAPbI3,the solvent was removed at a slow controlled speed,to avoid rapid nucleation and provide sufficient time for crystal growth.As a result,highly oriented MAPbI3 crystals with suppressed non-radiative recombination and promoted charge transport were obtained in the triple mesoscopic layer with disordered pores.The corresponding hole-conductor-free,printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells exhibited a highest power conversion efficiency of 18.82%.The device also exhibited promising long-term operational sta-bility of 1000 h under continuous illumination at maximum power point at 55±5°C and damp-heat stability of 1340 h aging at 85°C as well as 85%relative humidity. | Shuang Liu Deyi Zhang Yusong Sheng Weihua Zhang Zhaotong Qin Minchao Qin Sheng Li Yifan Wang Chenxu Gao Qifei Wang Yue Ming Chao Liu Kai Yang Qingyi Huang Jianhang Qi Qiaojiao Gao Kai Chen Yue Hu Yaoguang Rong Xinhui Lu Anyi Mei Hongwei Han | 2022 | Fundamental Research2022,2,2: | 1 |
