1A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 2Protonation induced high-T_c phases in iron-based superconductors evidenced by NMR and magnetization measurements显示文摘Chemical substitution during growth is a well-established method to manipulate electronic states of quantum materials, and leads to rich spectra of phase diagrams in cuprate and iron-based superconductors. Here we report a novel and generic strategy to achieve nonvolatile electron doping in series of(i.e.11 and 122 structures) Fe-based superconductors by ionic liquid gating induced protonation at room temperature. Accumulation of protons in bulk compounds induces superconductivity in the parent compounds, and enhances the Tclargely in some superconducting ones. Furthermore, the existence of proton in the lattice enables the first proton nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) study to probe directly superconductivity. Using Fe S as a model system, our NMR study reveals an emergent high-Tcphase with no coherence peak which is hard to measure by NMR with other isotopes. 3Optimized design and experiment of spiral-type intra-row weeding actuator for maize(Zea mays L.)planting显示文摘Mechanical weeding not only avoids crop herbicide residue but also protects the ecological environment.Compared with mechanical inter-row weeding,mechanical intra-row weeding needs to avoid crop plants,which is conducive to causing a higher rate of seedling damage.In order to realize maize(Zea mays L.)intra-row weeding,a maize intra-row weeding mechanism was designed in this study.The mechanism can detect maize seedlings by infrared beam tube,then a sliding-cutting bevel tool moves spirally amid maize seedlings,so as to eradicate intra-row weeds.A field experiment was conducted under the following experimental conditions:the bevel tool rotation speed was 800-1400 r/min,the mechanism forward speed was 4-7 km/h,and the bevel tool depth was 2-14 cm,the experimental results illustrated that the mechanism’s average weeding rate and seedling damage rate were 95.8%and 0.6%,respectively.The variance analysis showed that the primary and secondary factors that affecting the weeding rate and seedling damage rate were the same,which were bevel tool rotation speed,mechanism forward speed,bevel tool depth in soil in a descending order according to the significances.The result of the field experiment may provide a reference for intra-row weeding device design.Honglei Jia Binglong Gu Zhongyang Ma Huili Liu Gang Wang Mingwei Li Hewen Tan 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,6:1

6Metal recycling from waste memory modules efficiently and environmentally friendly by low-temperature alkali melts显示文摘Recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment has become an urgent global issue in recent years from the prospectives of resources recycling and environmental protection.In the present work,the recycling of waste memory modules(WMMs)through low-temperature alkali melts was investigated,based on the thermodynamic analysis of the nonmetallic reactions of brominated epoxy resin,glass fiber and memory chip with the molten mixed alkali.The effects of the reaction temperature and the ratio of alkali mixture on the removal rate of nonmetallic parts in WMMs were discussed under the condition of air atmosphere.The optimum process parameters were further confirmed by in-situ monitoring of the temperature during the whole reaction process.The mixtures with Cu,Fe and Ni as the main components were obtained after the treatment of WMMs in the molten alkali.These mixed metals were further separated into copper-rich and ferronickel-rich metals by physical magnetic separation.Moreover,the precious metals Au and Ag were enriched in Cu-rich alloys.This work provided an efficient and environment-friendly method for metal recycling from WMMs.ZHU MingWei MA HaoBo HE Jie CHEN Bin ZHANG LiLi JIANG HongXiang SUN XiaoJun ZHAO JiuZhou 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11:1

9China's policy framework for carbon capture,utilization and storage:Review,analysis,and outlook显示文摘Carbon capture,utilization,and storage(CCUS)is estimated to contribute substantial CO_(2)emission reduction to carbon neutrality in China.There is yet a large gap between such enormous demand and the current capacity,and thus a sound enabling environment with sufficient policy support is imperative for CCUS development.This study reviewed 59 CCUS-related policy documents issued by the Chinese government as of July 2022,and found that a supporting policy framework for CCUS is taking embryonic form in China.More than ten departments of the central government have involved CCUS in their policies,of which the State Council,the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC),the Ministry of Science and Technology(MOST),and the Ministry of Ecological Environment(MEE)have given the greatest attention with different focuses.Specific policy terms are further analyzed following the method of content analysis and categorized into supply-,environment-and demand-type policies.The results indicate that supply-type policies are unbalanced in policy objectives,as policy terms on technology research and demonstration greatly outnumber those on other objectives,and the attention to weak links and industrial sectors is far from sufficient.Environment-type policies,especially legislations,standards,and incentives,are inadequate in pertinence and operability.Demand-type policies are absent in the current policy system but is essential to drive the demand for the CCUS technology in domestic and foreign markets.To meet the reduction demand of China's carbon neutral goal,policies need to be tailored according to needs of each specific technology and implemented in an orderly manner with well-balanced use on multiple objectives.Qiao MA Shan WANG Yan FU Wenlong ZHOU Mingwei SHI Xueting PENG Haodong LV Weichen ZHAO Xian ZHANG 2023Frontiers in Energy2023,17,3:1
10Neoadjuvent androgen deprivation for seminal vesicle reduction:The optimal portion of seminal vesicle included in the high-dose CTV in localized prostate cancer radiotherapy显示文摘Objective:To clarify the length and volume reduction of seminal vesicles(SVs)after neo-adjuvant hormonal therapy(NHT),in order to help contour the optimal SV included into high-dose clinical target volume(CTV)for radiotherapy in intermediate-and high-risk patients.Methods:MR images both before and after NHT(5.3±2.2 months)were collected from thirty-one patients with cT2-4N0M0 prostate cancer.SV volume was measured in axial T1WI,while SV length was obtained in a reconstructed oblique coronary plane through its long axial from a 3D sequence.Results:SVs showed evident reduction both in length and volume(length:median 12.1%,range 4.0%–28.0%;volume:median 39.9%,range 9.4%–66.2%).For SVs with and without MR detected involvement,length shortening were(16.7±4.8)%and(11.1±4.4)%(P<0.001);for involved SVs and lesions,volume reduction were(41.0±16.0)%and(66.3±14.4)%,respectively(P<0.001),both indicating a more sensitive response to NHT of the involved portion than normal SV.Conclusions:Both volume and length of the SV will be reduced after receiving NHT.Besides,the invaded segments shrink more than normal SV tissue,indicating that SV portion included within the CTV can be reduced.Xin Qi Xianshu Gao Xiaomei Li Shangbin Qin Xiaoying Li Mingwei Ma Yun Bai Jiayan Chen Xueying Ren Hongzhen Li 2023Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,1:0
11A functionalized activated carbon adsorbent prepared from waste amidoxime resin by modifying with H_(3)PO_(4) and ZnCl_(2) and its excellent Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption显示文摘With the application of resins in various fields, numerous waste resins that are difficult to treat have been produced. The industrial wastewater containing Cr(Ⅵ) has severely polluted soil and groundwater environments, thereby endangering human health. Therefore, in this paper, a novel functionalized mesoporous adsorbent PPR-Z was synthesized from waste amidoxime resin for adsorbing Cr(Ⅵ). The waste amidoxime resin was first modified with H3PO4 and ZnCl_(2), and subsequently, it was carbonized through slow thermal decomposition. The static adsorption of PPR-Z conforms to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm, indicating that the Cr(Ⅵ) adsorption by PPR-Z is mostly chemical adsorption and exhibits single-layer adsorption. The saturated adsorption capacity of the adsorbent for Cr(Ⅵ) could reach 255.86 mg/g. The adsorbent could effectively reduce Cr(Ⅵ) to Cr(Ⅲ) and decrease the toxicity of Cr(Ⅵ) during adsorption. PPR-Z exhibited Cr(Ⅵ) selectivity in electroplating wastewater. The main mechanisms involved in the Cr(Ⅵ) adsorption are the chemical reduction of Cr(Ⅵ) into Cr(Ⅲ) and electrostatic and coordination interactions. 13Acupuncture and moxibustion for malignant tumor patients with psychological symptoms of insomnia,anxiety and depression:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy(AMT) for cancerrelated psychological symptoms(CRPS) of insomnia,depression and anxiety.METHODS:Seven databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCT) comparing AMT to routine care or conventional drug for alleviating CRPS of insomnia,depression,and anxiety before April 2020.Two independent reviewers performed the data extraction and assessed the risk of bias.RESULTS:A total of 30 RCTs involving 2483 cancer patients were enrolled.The pooled analysis indicated that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving the depression effective rate [RR = 1.29,95% CI(1.12,1.49),P = 0.0004],the quality of life(QOL) [MD = 1.11,95% CI(0.80,1.42),P < 0.000 01],and reducing Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) [MD =﹣7.75,95% CI(﹣10.44,﹣5.05),P < 0.000 01].But there was no statistically significant difference between two groups in improving the insomnia effective rate [RR = 1.18,95% CI(0.93,1.51),P = 0.18].The subgroup analysis showed the effectiveness of different intervention on CRPS.Compared with routine care,AMT helps relieve CRPS better evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),and depression effective rate.Compared with conventional drug,AMT performs better evaluated by SDS,depression effective rate and QOL.Moreover,the conventional drug showed higher treatment efficacy on improving insomnia effective rate compared with AMT.Compared to conventional drug,AMT plus conventional drug resulted in a significant reduction on CRPS such as PSQI,HAMD,SDS,and SAS,and also had a meaningful improvement on insomnia effective rate,depression effective rate and QOL.Fewer published reports were found on the adverse events of AMT than the conventional drug.CONCLUSION:The results suggested that AMT might be effective in improving CPRI;however,a definite conclusion could not be drawn because the quality of trials are low.Further large-scale and high-quality RCTs to verify the efficacy and safety of AMT on CRPS are still warranted.MA Fangfang ZHANG Hewei LI Bingxue CHENG Peiyu YU Mingwei WANG Xiaomin 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,3:0
14Drought monitoring and reliability evaluation of the latest TMPA precipitation data in the Weihe River Basin, Northwest China显示文摘The high resolution satellite precipitation products bear great potential for large-scale drought monitoring, especially for those regions with sparsely or even without gauge coverage. This study focuses on utilizing the latest Version-7 TRMM Multi-satellite Precipitation Analysis(TMPA 3B42V7) data for drought condition monitoring in the Weihe River Basin(0.135×106 km2). The accuracy of the monthly TMPA 3B42V7 satellite precipitation data was firstly evaluated against the ground rain gauge observations. The statistical characteristics between a short period data series(1998–2013) and a long period data series(1961–2013) were then compared. The TMPA 3B42V7-based SPI(Standardized Precipitation Index) sequences were finally validated and analyzed at various temporal scales for assessing the drought conditions. The results indicate that the monthly TMPA 3B42V7 precipitation is in a high agreement with the rain gauge observations and can accurately capture the temporal and spatial characteristics of rainfall within the Weihe River Basin. The short period data can present the characteristics of long period record, and it is thus acceptable to use the short period data series to estimate the cumulative probability function in the SPI calculation. The TMPA 3B42V7-based SPI matches well with that based on the rain gauge observations at multiple time scales(i.e., 1-, 3-, 6-, 9-, and 12-month) and can give an acceptable temporal distribution of drought conditions. 15ZnO/nitrogen-doped carbon nanocomplex with controlled morphology for highly efficient electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘In this work,zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)with yolk-shell and hollow structures were pre-pared by a convenient chemical etching method.A subsequent pyrolysis of ZIF-8 enabled one to pro-duce ZnO/nitrogen-doped carbon nanocomplexes with original ZIF-8 morphology,where hollow struc-ture showed superior electromagnetic wave absorption capacity and was responsible for matching the impedance of free space.The minimum reflection coefficients of hollow ZnO/nitrogen-doped carbon nanocomplexes were-51.2 dB(700℃)and-52.4 dB(800℃),respectively,whereas the effective ab-sorption band width was as large as 4 GHz and the content of pyrolyzed hollow ZIF-8 was 15 wt%,which was inferior to the level among similar electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption materials.The conve-nient and facile strategy paves the way toward designing hierarchical structures for highly efficient and light-weight electromagnetic wave absorbers.Zhen Yu Rui Zhou Mingwei Ma Runqiu Zhu Peng Miao Pei Liu Jie Kong 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,19:0
16Endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation as a novel mechanism of polystyrene microplastics (PS-MPs)-induced pulmonary inflammation in chickens显示文摘Microplastics(MPs)have attracted growing attention worldwide as an increasingly prevalent environmental pollutant.In addition,chicken meat is currently the most widely consumed kind of poultry in the global market.Consumer demand for chicken is on the rise both at home and abroad.As a result,the safety of chicken raising has also received significant attention.The lungs play an essential role in the physiological activities of chickens,and they are also the most vulnerable organs.Lung injury is difficult to repair after the accumulation of contaminants,and the mortality rate is high,which brings huge economic losses to farmers.The research on the toxicity of MPs has mainly focused on the marine ecosystem,while the mechanisms of toxicity and lung damage in chickens have been poorly studied.Thus,this study explored the effects of exposure to polystyrene microplastics(PS-MPs)at various concentrations for 42 d on chicken lungs.PS-MPs could cause lung pathologies and ultrastructural abnormalities,such as endoplasmic reticulum(ER)swelling,inflammatory cell infiltration,chromatin agglutination,and plasma membrane rupture.Simultaneously,PS-MPs increased the expression of genes related to the heat shock protein family(Hsp60,Hsp70,and Hsp90),ER stress signaling(activating) transcription factor 6(ATF0),ATF4,protein kinase RNA-like ER kinase(PERK),and eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunitα(eIF2a),pyroptosis-related genes(NOD)-,LRR-and pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3),apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase recruitment domain(ASC),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinase 1(Caspasel),and gasdermin-D(GSDMD),and the inflammatory signaling pathway(nuclear factor-kB(NF-kB),inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2).The above results showed that PS-MP exposure could result in lung stress,ER stress,pyroptosis,and inflammation in broilers.Our findings provide new scientific clues for further research on the mechanisms of physical health and toxicology regardingMPs.Hongmin LU Tiantian GUO Yue ZHANG Dewang LIU Lulu HOU Chengxue MA Mingwei XING 2024Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2024,25,3:0
17Single-cell RNA sequencing reveals the developmental program underlying proximal–distal patterning of the human lung at the embryonic stage显示文摘The lung is the primary respiratory organ in human, in which the proximal airway and the distal alveoli are responsible for air conduction and gas exchange, respectively. However, the regulation of proximal–distal patterning at the embryonic stage of human lung development is largely unknown. Here we investigated the early lung development of human embryos at weeks 4–8 post fertilization (Carnegie stages 12–21) using single-cell RNA sequencing, and obtained a transcriptomic atlas of 169,686 cells. We observed discernible gene expression patterns of proximal and distal epithelia at week 4, upon the initiation of lung organogenesis. Moreover, we identified novel transcriptional regulators of the patterning of proximal (e.g., THRB and EGR3) and distal (e.g., ETV1 and SOX6) epithelia. Further dissection revealed various stromal cell populations, including an early-embryonic BDNF+ population, providing a proximal–distal patterning niche with spatial specificity. In addition, we elucidated the cell fate bifurcation and maturation of airway and vascular smooth muscle progenitor cells at the early stage of lung development. Together, our study expands the scope of human lung developmental biology at early embryonic stages. 18Intracerebroventricular transplanted bone marrow stem cells survive and migrate into the brain of rats with Parkinson's disease显示文摘In this study,6-hydroxydopamine was stereotaxically injected into the right substantia nigra compact and ventral tegmental area of rats to establish Parkinson's disease models.The rats then received a transplantation of bone marrow stromal cells that were previously isolated,cultured and labeled with 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine in vitro.Transplantation of the bone marrow stromal cells significantly de-creased apomorphine-induced rotation time and the escape latency in the Morris water maze test as compared with rats with untreated Parkinson's disease.Immunohistochemical staining showed that,5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-immunoreactive cells were present in the lateral ventricular wall and the choroid plexus 1 day after transplantation.These immunoreactive cells migrated to the surrounding areas of the lateral cerebral ventricle along the corpus callosum.The results indicated that bone marrow stromal cells could migrate to tissues surround the cerebral ventricle via the cerebrospinal fluid circulation and fuse with cells in the brain,thus altering the phenotype of cells or forming neuron-like cells or astrocytes capable of expressing neuron-specific proteins.Taken together,the present findings indicate that bone marrow stromal cells transplanted intracerebroventricularly could survive,migrate and significantly improve the rotational behavior and cognitive function of rats with experimentally induced Parkinson's disease.Ping Gu Zhongxia Zhang Dongsheng Cui Yanyong Wang Lin Ma Yuan Geng Mingwei Wang 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,13:0
