1Properties of Functionalized Graphene/Room Temperature Vulcanized Silicone Rubber Composites Prepared by an In-situ Reduction Method显示文摘Functionalized graphene oxide (FGO) was prepared by treating graphene oxide with γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (KH-550) before the mixture was dispersed into α, ω-dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane to get room temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicone rubber composites by solution casting. The cured composites were then reduced with hydrazine hydrate to obtain functionalized graphene (FG)/RTV silicone rubber composites. The structures of FGO and the resultant composites were characterized by atomic force microscopy, FT-IR spectra and X-ray diffraction. KH-550 was found to be grafted onto graphene sheets, leading to an increased interlayer spacing. Significant improvements in thermal and mechanical properties were obtained. Both the FGO/RTV silicone rubber composite contain 1.0 wt% of FGO, and its reduced product showed an increase of one-step weight loss temperature with 61 ℃ and 133 ℃ higher than that of pure silicone rubber. 2A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay strip for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica in domestic animals显示文摘Background:Schistosomiasis remains a major public health concern in China and an epidemiological survey has revealed that schistosome-infected bovines and goats are the main transmission sources for the disease.Therefore,development of a sensitive technique for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in domestic animals is necessary.Method:A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay(GICA)strip was developed for detecting Schistosoma japonicum in domestic animals.The colloidal gold was conjugated with recombinant streptococcal protein G(rSPG).As the test and control lines,the schistosome soluble egg antigen and rSPG,respectively,were blotted on nitrocellulose membrane.Results:The lowest detectable serum dilution was 1∶640 for schistosome-infected buffaloes.The cross-reaction rate of GICA was 14.29%with Paramphistomum sp.in buffaloes,16.67%with Haemonchus sp.in goats,and 33.33%with Orientobilharzia sp.in goats.These results were slightly lower and similar to those obtained through ELISA.Moreover,the strips for detecting S.japonicum in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats showed high sensitivity(100.00%,100.00%,100.00%,and 100.00%,respectively)and specificity(100.00%,100.00%,94.23%,and 88.64%,respectively).And the sensitivity or specificity of the GICA strips did not present any significant differences after storage for 12 months at room temperature.When compared with ELISA,the GICA strips exhibited similar sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats.Besides,only 5μl of serum are required for the test and the detection can be completed within 5 min.Conclusion:This study is the first to develop a GICA strip using gold-rSPG conjugate for the diagnosing of schistosomiasis in domestic animals,and preliminary results showed that the developed strip may be suitable for large-scale screening of schistosomiasis in endemic areas.Rui Xu Jintao Feng Yang Hong Chao Lv Dengyun Zhao Jiaojiao Lin Ke Lu Hao Li Jinming Liu Xiaodan Cao Tao Wang Jinli Zai Zhaozhe Wang Bingguang Jia Qian Han Chuangang Zhu 2017Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1:12
3Ultraviolet Light Assisted Hierarchical Porous Fe2O3 Catalyzing Heterogeneous Fenton Degradation of Tetracycline Under Neutral Condition with a Low Requirement of H2O2显示文摘The hierarchical porous Fe2O3 particles as a novel ultraviolet light assisted heterogeneous Fenton catalysts were synthesized by bio-template synthesis method using iron nitrate as precursor at high temperature of around 550℃.The hierarchical porous structured Fe2O3 was endowed with a large surface area and abundant pore volume,leading to the exposure of more active sites and rapid mass transfer.The synergistic effect of UV irradiation and hie-rarchical porous Fe2O3 improved the photo-degradation efficiency of Tetracycline(TC).The degradation efficiency of Fe203 catalyzing UV-Fenton system reached 97.4%after 60 min reaction,which was more substantial than Fe2O3 catalyzing Fenton system(7.6%)and UV/H2O2 system(59.2%).Moreover,the hierarchical porous Fe2O3 catalyzing UV-Fenton system exhibited an extremely wide pH range(from 3.0 to 9.0,from mildly acidic to slightly alkaline)for efficient degradation of TC.Simultaneously,the extraordinary higher degradation efficiency was based on 10 mmol/L H2O2 concentration,which was low requirement for H2O2,Further,the hierarchical porous Fe2O3 can be used for five consecutive cycles with over 95%of the original degradation efficiency.Ultraviolet light assisted heterogeneous Fenton reaction in the hierarchical porous Fe2O3 improved the·OH and O2·^-production and Fe(III)/Fe(II)redox cycle,which consequently achieved an excellent degradation rate.LIN Xinchen XIE Feng YU Xiaodan TANG Xin GUAN Heda CHEN Yu FENG Wei 2019Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2019,35,2:5
4Phosphofructokinase-1 Negatively Regulates Neurogenesis from Neural Stem Cells显示文摘Phosphofructokinase-1(PFK-1),a major regulatory glycolytic enzyme,has been implicated in the functions of astrocytes and neurons.Here,we report that PFK-1 negatively regulates neurogenesis from neural stem cells(NSCs)by targeting pro-neural transcriptional factors.Using in vitro assays,we found that PFK-1 knockdown enhanced,and PFK-1 overexpression inhibited the neuronal differentiation of NSCs,which was consistent with the findings from NSCs subjected to 5 h of hypoxia.Meanwhile,the neurogenesis induced by PFK-1 knockdown was attributed to the increased proliferation of neural progenitors and the commitment of NSCs to the neuronal lineage.Similarly,in vivo knockdown of PFK-1 also increased neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus.Finally,we demonstrated that the neurogenesis mediated by PFK-1 was likely achieved by targeting mammalian achaete-scute homologue-1(Mash 1),neuronal differentiation factor(NeuroD),and sex-determining region Y(SRY)-related HMG box 2(Sox2).All together,our results reveal PFK-1 as an important regulator of neurogenesis.Fengyun Zhang Xiaodan Qian Cheng Qin Yuhui Lin Haiyin Wu Lei Chang Chunxia Luo Dongya Zhu 2016Neuroscience Bulletin2016,32,3:4
5Effective Removal of Tetracycline by Using Biochar Supported Fe3O4 as a UV-Fenton Catalyst显示文摘Novel Fe3O4-decorate hierarchical porous carbon skeleton derived from maize straw(Fe3O4@MSC)was synthesized by a facile co-precipitation process and a calcination process,which was developed as a UV assisted heterogeneous Fenton-like catalyst.The as-synthesized catalysts were characterized via X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM),Brunauer-Emmet-Teller(BET)and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)at room temperature.The morphology and structure analysis revealed that the as-prepared Fe3O4@MSC retained the original pore morphology of the maize straw material.The non-uniform poly- hedral Fe3O4 grew on the whole surface of the MSC,which reduced the aggragation of Fe3O4 and provided more active sites to strengthen the UV-assisted Fenton-like reaction.As a result,the tetracycline(TC)degradation efficiency after 40 min reaction and total organic carbon(TOC)removal efficiency after 2 h reaction of Fe3O4@MSC catalyzing UV-Fenton system reached 99.2%and 72.1%,respectively,which were more substantial than those of Fe3O4@MSC/H2O2(31.5%and 2%),UV/H2O2 system(68%and 23.4%)and UV/Fe3O4/H2O2(80% and 37.5%).The electron spin resonance(ESR)results showed that the ·OH played an important role in the catalytic reaction.A possible degradation pathway of TC was proposed on the basis of the identified intermediates.Overall,the UV assisted heterogeneous Fenton-like process in Fe3O4@MSC improved the cycle of Fe^3+/Fe^2+ and activated the interfacial catalytic site,which eventually realized the enhancement of degradation and mineralization to tetracycline.YU Xiaodan LIN Xinchen LI Weiguang FENG Wei 2019Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2019,35,1:3

7Eco-friendly preparation of chitooligosaccharides with different degrees of deacetylation from shrimp shell waste and their effects on the germination of wheat seeds显示文摘Production of chitosan and its derivatives by traditional methods involves the excessive use of a reaction solution comprisedof sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid. Waste water resulting from this process has lim让ed the application of chitosanas a fertilizer as the process causes serious environmental pollution. Specifically, the resulting waste water contains highlevels of dissolved nitrogen and minerals from shrimp shells. In this study, an eco-friendly method was established to produce chitooligosaccharides (COS) with different degrees of deacetylation (DDAs) from shrimp shell waste. At a solid-tosolventratio of 1:6, the degree of demineralization was above 90% with the treatment of 30 g-L_1 H3PO4, and the degree ofdeproteinization was above 80% when treated with 30 g-L_1 KOH at 70 °C. Chitosans with different DDAs were obtainedby microwave-assisted KOH metathesis and the COS with Mw approximately 1500 Da were then prepared by oxidativedegradation. In summary, 33.73 kg H3PO4,12.77 kg, and 241.31 kg KOH were supplied during the processes of demineralization,deproteinization, and deacetylation of 100 kg shrimp shell waste, respectively. The process water was totally recycled,demonstrating that the shrimp shell could be wholly transformed into fertilize The entire process created a product withthe fractions of N:P2O5:K2O:COS = 7.94:24.44:10.72:1 &27. The test on the germination promotion of wheat seeds revealedthat the COS with 72」2% DDA significantly promoted germination. 11Intercellular transfer of activated STING triggered by RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagy promotes antitumor immunity显示文摘STING,an endoplasmic reticulum(ER)transmembrane protein,mediates innate immune activation upon cGAMP stimulation and is degraded through autophagy.Here,we report that activated STING could be transferred between cells to promote antitumor immunity,a process triggered by RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagy.Mechanistically,RAB22A engages PI4K2A to generate PI4P that recruits the Atg12–Atg5–Atg16L1 complex,inducing the formation of ER-derived RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagosome,in which STING activated by agonists or chemoradiotherapy is packaged.This RAB22A-induced autophagosome fuses with RAB22A-positive early endosome,generating a new organelle that we name Rafeesome(RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagosome fused with early endosome).Meanwhile,RAB22A inactivates RAB7 to suppress the fusion of Rafeesome with lysosome,thereby enabling the secretion of the inner vesicle of the autophagosome bearing activated STING as a new type of extracellular vesicle that we define as R-EV(RAB22A-induced extracellular vesicle).Activated STING-containing R-EVs induce IFNβrelease from recipient cells to the tumor microenvironment,promoting antitumor immunity.Consistently,RAB22A enhances the antitumor effect of the STING agonist diABZI in mice,and a high RAB22A level predicts good survival in nasopharyngeal cancer patients treated with chemoradiotherapy.Our findings reveal that Rafeesome regulates the intercellular transfer of activated STING to trigger and spread antitumor immunity,and that the inner vesicle of non-canonical autophagosome originated from ER is secreted as R-EV,providing a new perspective for understanding the intercellular communication of organelle membrane proteins.Ying Gao Xueping Zheng Boyang Chang Yujie Lin Xiaodan Huang Wen Wang Shirong Ding Weixiang Zhan Shang Wang Beibei Xiao Lanqing Huo Youhui Yu Yilin Chen Run Gong Yuanzhong Wu Ruhua Zhang Li Zhong Xin Wang Qiuyan Chen Song Gao Zhengfan Jiang Denghui Wei Tiebang Kang 2022Cell Research2022,32,12:1

14Neuromorphic transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(nTENS)induces efficient tactile-related cortical networks in forearm amputees显示文摘Conventional transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(cTENS),which uses a modulated square waveform as stimuli,has been generally used in testing and eliciting artificial tactile perception in forearm amputees.However,a novel neuromorphic TENS(nTENS)model based on neural signals has been largely ignored.In this study,we further explore the effect of nTENS patterns to elicit tactile perception in forearm amputees.Four forearm amputees were recruited to test discriminate tactile perception elicited by different TENS patterns with electroencephalography(EEG)recording at the following four stimulated sites:the index finger and the little finger on both phantom and real sides.Finally,we compared the results of cortical networks in six frequency bands at different stimulated sites between forearm amputees and able-bodied subjects.Behavioral results suggested that n TENS patterns required a lower electric charge at each stimulated site than cTENS patterns.And forearm amputees required a higher intensity in each TENS pattern than able-bodied subjects.Moreover,amputees showed a lower clustering coefficient(aCP),global efficiency(aEG),local efficiency(aEL),and a longer path length(aLP)than able-bodied subjects in all six frequency bands when stimulation was accessed.Specifically,the SMU pattern showed a higher functional network efficiency in real fingers than at phantom sites in theta,alpha,and high gamma bands.This study highlighted the characteristics of n TENS patterns in eliciting tactile perception among forearm amputees,which provided insights into evaluating the neural mechanism of tactile information processing in forearm amputees and building tactile perceptual systems for sensory rehabilitation.LIU YaFei LI Bo XI PengCheng LV XiaoDan ZHANG Lin LIU ZhiQiang HUANG Qiang TANG RongYu HE JiPing CHEN LuYao LANG YiRan 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,5:0

16Anti-oxidative effect of zinc in human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells显示文摘Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(HUC-MSCs)are pluripotent and functional in many biological processes,by which releasing secretary factors to promote the self-repairing of damaged tissue or developing into functional cell at local organ.However,there is a high risk that oxidative stress would reduce the pluripotency and factor-secretion during the preparation and transplantation.Therefore,reducing oxidative stress is expected to improve the efficacy of HUC-MSCs therapy.Zinc[Zn] is an essential trace element which involves in the resistance of oxidative stress.To investigate Zn-regulated signaling pathways,we have profiled the gene expression at transcriptome level in primary HUC-MSCs treated with zinc sulfate,followed with GO and KEGG gene enrichment analysis.Zn treatment improved signal pathways for mineral absorption,cell growth,and cell death.Zn deficiency was mimicked by TPEN administration,which suppressed cell proliferation and reduced the expression of HUC-MSCs surface stem cell markers CD73,CD90 and CD105 by flow cytometry.Nuclear factor erythrocyte 2 related factor 2(Nrf2)plays an important role in antioxidant biological processes.In vitro treatment of Zn significantly increased Nrf2 and Sirt3 expression at gene level and protein level respectively.Zn supplementation inhibited TPEN-induced failure of cell survival and reversed the reduction of Nrf2 and Sirt3 expression,which further reduced the production of ROS.Zn successfully presented its antioxidation effect by activating Nrf2/Sirt3 signaling pathway in HUC-MSCs.Zn supplementation may improve the efficacy of HUC-MSCs therapy with reduced oxidative stress.Xiaodan Lu Yifan Lin Xiuying Lin Qiang Zhang Zihang Wang Xuguang Mi Ruobing Wang Xiaofang Zhang Xu Luan Yan Liu Bing Li YanTan Yanqiu Fang 2021Biophysics Reports2021,7,2:0

18Synaptic plasticity effects on FeCl_2-induced post-traumatic epilepsy onset in the rat显示文摘Studies have confirmed that iron induces epilepsy onset,and iron ion-induced epilepsy in animal models closely resembles the clinical situation.Models of post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) were established by intracortical injection of FeCl2 using stereotactic techniques.Electron microscopy revealed neuronal degeneration,with shrinkage of the neuronal soma,hyperplasia of rough endoplasmic reticulum,ribosomal detachment from the endoplasmic reticulum,and vacuolar degeneration of glial cells in the right frontal lobe of FeCl2-induced PTE rats.With prolonged time,injuries became more severe and neuronal apoptosis was observed.Synapses in the hippocampal neuropil significantly increased (primarily type I/excitatory synapses) at day 14 following injury.Type II synapses (inhibitory synapse) were observed in the rat hippocampus at day 30.Cortical neuronal degeneration,apoptosis,glial cell proliferation,and ultrastructural hippocampal changes,in particular changes in type of neuronal synapse,play an important role in PTE onset.Yuanxiang Lin Feng Wang Ruxiang Xu Xiaodan Jiang Dezhi Kang Yiquan Ke Mouxuan Du Lishuang Xu 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,18:0

20Forward a spatio-temporal trend surface for long-term groundmeasured albedo upscaling over heterogeneous land surface显示文摘Upscaling ground albedo is challenged by the serious discrepancy between the heterogeneity of land surfaces and the small number of ground-based measurements.Conventional ground-based measurements cannot provide sufficient information on the characteristics of surface albedo at the scale of coarse pixels over heterogeneous land surfaces.One method of overcoming this problem is to introduce high-resolution albedo imagery as ancillary information for upscaling.However,due to the low frequency of updating of high-resolution albedo maps,upscaling time series of ground-based albedo measurements is difficult.This paper proposes a method that is based on the idea of conceptual universal scaling methodology for establishing a spatiotemporal trend surface using very few high-resolution images and time series of ground-based measurements for spatial-temporal upscaling of albedo.The construction of the spatiotemporal trend surface incorporates the spatial information provided by auxiliary remote sensing images and the temporal information provided by long time series of ground observations.This approach was illustrated by upscaling ground-based fine-scale albedo measurements to a coarse scale over the core study area in HiWATER.The results indicate that this method can characterize the spatiotemporal variations in surface albedo well,and the overall correlation coefficient was 0.702 during the study period.Xiaodan Wu Jianguang Wen Qing Xiao Dongqin You Qiang Liu Xingwen Lin 2018International Journal of Digital Earth2018,11,5:0
