| 1 | Atomization Inhalation of Terbutaline and Budesonide Efficiently Improved Immunity and Lung Function of AECOPD Patients显示文摘Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a syndrome of chronic progressive airflow limitation as a result of chronic inflammation of the airways and lung parenchyma. COPD patients always have airway hyperreactivity (AHR),so how to reduce AHR becomes the key purpose of clinical treatment. It is hypothesized that combined inhalation of corticosteroids and β2-agonists can reduce the AHR in COPD. In this study,atomization inhalation of budesonide and terbutaline plus conventional therapies was applied to treat AECOPD (acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) patients for two weeks. The results showed that additional inhalation of budesonide and terbutaline could upregulate serum IL-2 levels,the percentages of CD3+ T and CD4+ T cells,and CD4/CD8 ratio,and decrease eosinophils and serum CRP level more efficiently than conventional treatment in patients with AECOPD. And the lung function of the atomization inhalation group was improved more obviously after the treatment compared with the conventional treatment group. | 2 | 糖尿病视网膜病变患病率的流行病学调查:在中国6省13473名糖尿病患者中的横断面研究显示文摘目的本研究旨在探究中国糖尿病患者中糖尿病视网膜病变(DR)和视力威胁性糖尿病视网膜病变(STDR)的患病率和严重程度。研究设计、设置与参与者本研究为横断面流行病学调查,研究对象为中国内地地区的糖尿病患者(N=13473)。研究对象为被内科医师诊断为糖尿病,并转诊到筛查门诊的糖尿病患者(其中住院患者占1/3,城市居民占1/3,农村居民占1/3)。研究对象的每只眼睛应用彩色、免散瞳和非立体眼底照相机拍摄2张眼底照片,并根据英国DR分级指南进行分级。主要结果和测量指标DR与STDR的患病率和严重程度。结果在参与本研究的13473例糖尿病患者中,共发现4591例DR和1769例STDR患者,DR的总体患病率为34.08%[95%可信区间(凹)33.28%~34.88%],其中STDR的总体患病率为13.13%(95%C112.56%~13.70%)。在所有研究对象中,12780例参与了眼底照片分级(94.86%)。年龄大于65岁的研究对象患DR或STDR的可能性较低(P〈0.001)。性别对是否患病没有显著影响(P〉0.05)。STDR患者与非STDR患者相比,视力损伤更为严重(P〈0.001)。中国北方DR和STDR的患病率高于南方(P〈0.001)。DR的患病率与糖尿病患病时间f比值比(鲫)2.63;95%C12.42~2.86;P〈0.001]以及糖尿病发病年龄(OR 0.38;95%CI为0.35~0.41;P〈0.001)密切相关。结论DR和STDR在中国内地地区的患病率偏高,并且不同地区患病率存在差异。在DR中,非增殖性DR更常见,但STDR更需要及时的诊断和治疗,特别是在经济欠发达地区。本研究强调了中国内地地区DR筛查和治疗的重要性。 | Liu, Yan Song, Yifan Tao, Liyuan Qiu, Weiqiang Lv, Huibin Jiang, Xiaodan Zhang, Mingzhou Li, Xuemin | 2017 | 英国医学杂志中文版2017,20,11: | 23 |

| 4 | Progress in Semi-arid Climate Change Studies in China显示文摘This article reviews recent progress in semi-arid climate change research in China.Results indicate that the areas of semiarid regions have increased rapidly during recent years in China,with an increase of 33%during 1994-2008 compared to 1948-62.Studies have found that the expansion rate of semi-arid areas over China is nearly 10 times higher than that of arid and sub-humid areas,and is mainly transformed from sub-humid/humid regions.Meanwhile,the greatest warming during the past 100 years has been observed over semi-arid regions in China,and mainly induced by radiatively forced processes.The intensity of the regional temperature response over semi-arid regions has been amplified by land-atmosphere interactions and human activities.The decadal climate variation in semi-arid regions is modulated by oceanic oscillations,which induce land-sea and north-south thermal contrasts and affect the intensities of westerlies,planetary waves and blocking frequencies.In addition,the drier climates in semi-arid regions across China are also associated with the weakened East Asian summer monsoon in recent years.Moreover,dust aerosols in semi-arid regions may have altered precipitation by affecting the local energy and hydrological cycles.Finally,semi-arid regions in China are projected to continuously expand in the 21st century,which will increase the risk of desertification in the near future. | Jianping HUANG Jieru MA Xiaodan GUAN Yue LI Yongli HE | 2019 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2019,36,9: | 15 |

| 6 | Properties of Functionalized Graphene/Room Temperature Vulcanized Silicone Rubber Composites Prepared by an In-situ Reduction Method显示文摘Functionalized graphene oxide (FGO) was prepared by treating graphene oxide with γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (KH-550) before the mixture was dispersed into α, ω-dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane to get room temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicone rubber composites by solution casting. The cured composites were then reduced with hydrazine hydrate to obtain functionalized graphene (FG)/RTV silicone rubber composites. The structures of FGO and the resultant composites were characterized by atomic force microscopy, FT-IR spectra and X-ray diffraction. KH-550 was found to be grafted onto graphene sheets, leading to an increased interlayer spacing. Significant improvements in thermal and mechanical properties were obtained. Both the FGO/RTV silicone rubber composite contain 1.0 wt% of FGO, and its reduced product showed an increase of one-step weight loss temperature with 61 ℃ and 133 ℃ higher than that of pure silicone rubber. | 7 | Mutational Analysis of Region-cytotoxicity Relationship in Human Transmembrane Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha显示文摘Objective:To determine the region of human transmembrane tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TM-TNFa), essential for cytotoxic activity a-gainst human breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Methods:Single amino-acid-substituted TM-TNFα mutant proteins (muteins) were produced by in vitro transcription linked translation techniques. The cDNA of TM-TNFα was site-directed mutagenized by recombinant PCR. Results:13 single amino-acid substituted TM-TNFα muteins were generated and assayed for cytotoxic activity. The cytotoxic activities of TM-TNFα muteins, eg, TM-TNFα-71/Lys, -28/Phe and 117/Leu were significantly decreased (P<0.01) compared to that of parent TM-TNFα, 143/Tyr decreased 4-folds, and-17/Thr,-39/Ser,ll9/His,35/Gly,95/Cys and 147/Phe decreased 1.5-2.5-folds, respectively. However, the cytotoxic activities of TM-TNFα-8/Arg, 31/Gly and 87/Phe showed no significant change. Conclusion:These results indicate that the regions associated with cytotoxic-activity of TM-TNFα are different with that of secretory TNF-lpha (S-TNFα). | 9 | Mechanism of floral scent production in Osmanthus fragrans and the production and regulation of its key floral constituents,β-ionone and linalool显示文摘Sweet osmanthus(Osmanthus fragrans Lour.)is among the top ten most well-known flowers in China and is recognized as both an aromatic plant and ornamental flower.Here,manual sectioning,scanning electron microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy of sweet osmanthus petals revealed that large amounts of lipids are present inside the petal cells and on the cell surfaces.However,no secretory structures were observed.Instead,the petal cells protrude slightly outward,and the surfaces of the cells are adorned with highly regular brush-shaped hairs.The surfaces of the‘Yingui’petals possessed mostly curled and more numerous hairs,whereas the‘Dangui’petals possessed fewer brush-shaped and more sparsely arranged hairs.In addition,many granular substances were attached to the brush-shaped hairs,and the granules were denser on the hairs of the‘Yingui’petals compared to the hairs on the‘Dangui’petals.Furthermore,35 aromatic components in the‘Yingui’petals and 30 aromatic components in the‘Dangui’petals were detected via GC-MS.The main aromatic component of the‘Yingui’petals wasβ-ionone,whereas that of the‘Dangui’petals was linalool and its oxides.Transcriptome sequencing and qRT-PCR indicated that the highβ-ionone content in the‘Yingui’petals was due to the overexpression of CCD1 and CCD4 and that the high linalool content in the‘Dangui’petals was due to the overexpression of MECS,HDR,IDI1,and LIS1,which function upstream of the linalool synthetic pathway.In particular,the expression levels of CCD4 and LIS1 were upregulated by 5.5-and 5.1-fold in the‘Yingui’and‘Dangui’petals,respectively.One transcription factor(ERF61)was cloned and named,and the expression pattern of ERF61 in sweet osmanthus petals was found to be generally consistent with that of CCD4.Tobacco transformation experiments,yeast one-hybrid experiments,and electrophoretic mobility shift assays indicated that ERF61 binds to the CCD4 promoter and stimulates CCD4 expression,thereby regulating the synthesis ofβ-ionone in sweet osmanthus petals. | Yuanji Han Hongyun Wang Xiaodan Wang Ke Li Meifang Dong Yong Li Qian Zhu Fude Shang | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 13 |

| 11 | A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay strip for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica in domestic animals显示文摘Background:Schistosomiasis remains a major public health concern in China and an epidemiological survey has revealed that schistosome-infected bovines and goats are the main transmission sources for the disease.Therefore,development of a sensitive technique for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in domestic animals is necessary.Method:A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay(GICA)strip was developed for detecting Schistosoma japonicum in domestic animals.The colloidal gold was conjugated with recombinant streptococcal protein G(rSPG).As the test and control lines,the schistosome soluble egg antigen and rSPG,respectively,were blotted on nitrocellulose membrane.Results:The lowest detectable serum dilution was 1∶640 for schistosome-infected buffaloes.The cross-reaction rate of GICA was 14.29%with Paramphistomum sp.in buffaloes,16.67%with Haemonchus sp.in goats,and 33.33%with Orientobilharzia sp.in goats.These results were slightly lower and similar to those obtained through ELISA.Moreover,the strips for detecting S.japonicum in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats showed high sensitivity(100.00%,100.00%,100.00%,and 100.00%,respectively)and specificity(100.00%,100.00%,94.23%,and 88.64%,respectively).And the sensitivity or specificity of the GICA strips did not present any significant differences after storage for 12 months at room temperature.When compared with ELISA,the GICA strips exhibited similar sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats.Besides,only 5μl of serum are required for the test and the detection can be completed within 5 min.Conclusion:This study is the first to develop a GICA strip using gold-rSPG conjugate for the diagnosing of schistosomiasis in domestic animals,and preliminary results showed that the developed strip may be suitable for large-scale screening of schistosomiasis in endemic areas. | Rui Xu Jintao Feng Yang Hong Chao Lv Dengyun Zhao Jiaojiao Lin Ke Lu Hao Li Jinming Liu Xiaodan Cao Tao Wang Jinli Zai Zhaozhe Wang Bingguang Jia Qian Han Chuangang Zhu | 2017 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1: | 12 |

| 13 | Enhancement of low-frequency sound absorption of microperforated panels by adding a mechanical impedance显示文摘In order to solve the bad low frequency sound absorption of the Micro-Perforated panel(MPP)absorber,mechanical impedance was introduced in the back of the MPP absorber to form a composite structure.According to the same particle vibration velocity on both sides of a plate,the mechanical impedance plate transfer matrix could be obtained.The units of the mechanical impedance,cavity and MPP were connected in series with the use of the transfer matrix method,thus creating the composite structure's theoretical calculation model.The quality factor affecting absorption bandwidth was analyzed.Bandwidth is inversely proportional to the mechanical impedance plate mass.During the experiments,when at close to 400 Hz,the composite structure reached an absorption peak with a coefficient of above 0.8.Experimental results concurred with theoretical calculations.Mechanical resonance is added based on the traditional MPP resonance sound absorption mechanism.Through this,the performance of low frequency sound absorption can be improved without increasing the thickness of the structure.The frequency band can be broadened by reducing the mechanical impedance plate mass and controlling its boundary-damping coefficient. | ZHAO Xiaodan LI Xiao DING Rui | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,1: | 8 |

| 16 | Effects of Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria and N Source on Plant Growth and N and P Uptake by Tomato Grown on Calcareous Soils显示文摘Introducing specific microorganisms into the soil ecological system is an important strategy for improving nutrient use efficiency.Two pot experiments were conducted in the greenhouse from December 3, 2012 to January 25, 2013(Experiment 1) and March 11 to April 23, 2013(Experiment 2) to evaluate the effect of nitrogen(N) source and inoculation with plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR) on plant growth and N and phosphorus(P) uptake in tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) grown on calcareous soils from South Florida, USA.Treatments included urea, controlled release urea(a controlled release fertilizer, CRF) each at low and high N rates and with or without inoculation of PGPR.A mixture of PGPR strains Bacillus amyloliquefaciens IN937 a and Bacillus pumilus T4 was applied to the soil during growing periods of tomato.Treatments with PGPR inoculation increased plant height compared to treatments without PGPR in both experiments.Inoculation with PGPR increased shoot dry weight and shoot N uptake for the same N rate and N source.In both experiments, only at high N rate, CRF and urea treatments with PGPR had significantly(P < 0.05)greater shoot biomass than those without PGPR.Only at high N rate, CRF treatment with PGPR significantly increased shoot N uptake by 39.0% and 10.3% compared to that without PGPR in Experiments 1 and 2, respectively.Meanwhile, presence of PGPR in the soil increased shoot P uptake for all treatments in Experiment 1 and for most treatments in Experiment 2.In Experiment 1, only at low N rate, CRF treatment with PGPR significantly increased shoot P uptake compared with that without PGPR.In Experiment2, a significant increase in shoot P uptake by inoculation of PGPR was only observed in CRF treatment at high N rate.Results from this study indicate that inoculation with PGPR may increase plant growth and N and P uptake by tomato grown on calcareous soils.However, the effect of PGPR varied and was influenced by many factors such as N source, N rate, and soil fertility.Further investigations are warranted to confirm the effect of PGPR under different soil conditions. | Xiaohui FAN Shouan ZHANG Xiaodan MO Yuncong LI Yuqing FU Zhiguang LIU | 2017 | Pedosphere2017,27,6: | 8 |
| 17 | Effect of quercetin on the expression of Bcl-2/Bax apoptotic proteins in endometrial cells of lipopolysaccharide-induced-abortion mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect of quercetin on the expressions of Bcl-2/Bax apoptotic proteins in endometrial cells in mice with abortion induced by lipopolysaccharide.METHODS: For in vivo experiment, twenty five Kunming mice were randomly divided into five groups at day 4 of pregnancy, with 5 mice per group. The mice were treated with lipopolysaccharide(LPS)through tail vein intravenous injection at day 4 of pregnancy, followed by different concentrations of quercetin by oral gavage consecutively at days 5 to6 of pregnancy. On day 7 of gestation, the mice were sacrificed and the histopathological changes of the uterus tissues were observed. Immunohistochemical staining was applied to the detection of Bcl-2/Bax apoptotic proteins in the endometrial cells. For in vitro experiment, the primary endometrial cells werecultured using a uterus tissue mass culturing method sampled at day 4.5 of pregnancy. The cells were treated with LPS with or without different dosages of quercetin, respectively, for 12 h after 80% confluence. The expression of Bcl-2/Bax apoptotic proteins were detected by western blotting.RESULTS: Both the in vivo and in vitro experiments showed decreased expression of Bcl-2 and enhanced expression of Bax after LPS treatment, leading to a decreased Bcl-2/Bax ratio.
