2Rambutan-like hollow carbon spheres decorated with vacancy-rich nickel oxide for energy conversion and storage显示文摘Transition metal oxides hold great promise for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)and electrocatalytic water splitting because of their high abundance and high energy density.However,designing and fabrication of efficient,stable,high power density electrode materials are challenging.Herein,we report rambutan-like hollow carbon spheres formed by carbon nanosheet decorated with nickel oxide(NiO)rich inmetal vacancies(denoted as h-NiO/C)as a bifunctional electrode material for LIBs and electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction(OER).When being used as the anode of LIBs,the h-NiO/C electrode shows a large initial capacity of 885mAh g−1,a robust stability with a high capacity of 817mAh g−1 after 400 cycles,and great rate capability with a high reversible capacity of 523mAh g−1 at 10Ag−1 after 600 cycles.Moreover,working as an OER electrocatalyst,the h-NiO/C electrode shows a small overpotential of 260mV at 10mAcm−2,a Tafel slope of 37.6mVdec−1 along with good stability.Our work offers a cost-effective method for the fabrication of efficient electrode for LIBs and OER.Zixu Sun Xinghui Wang Hu Zhao See W.Koh Junyu Ge Yunxing Zhao Pingqi Gao Guangjin Wang Hong Li 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,1:4
3Lotus seedpod-inspired internal vascularized 3D printed scaffold for bone tissue repair显示文摘In the field of bone defect repair,3D printed scaffolds have the characteristics of personalized customization and accurate internal structure.However,how to construct a well-structured vascular network quickly and effectively inside the scaffold is essential for bone repair after transplantation.Herein,inspired by the unique biological structure of“lotus seedpod”,hydrogel microspheres encapsulating deferoxamine(DFO)liposomes were prepared through microfluidic technology as“lotus seeds”,and skillfully combined with a three-dimensional(3D)printed bioceramic scaffold with biomimetic“lotus”biological structure which can internally grow blood vessels.In this composite scaffold system,DFO was effectively released by 36%in the first 6 h,which was conducive to promote the growth of blood vessels inside the scaffold quickly.In the following 7 days,the release rate of DFO reached 69%,which was fundamental in the formation of blood vessels inside the scaffold as well as osteogenic differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).It was confirmed that the composite scaffold could significantly promote the human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)to form the vascular morphology within 6 h in vitro.In vivo,the composite scaffold increased the expression of vascularization and osteogenic related proteins Hif1-α,CD31,OPN,and OCN in the rat femoral defect model,significantly cutting down the time of bone repair.To sum up,this“lotus seedpod”inspired porous bioceramic 3D printed scaffold with internal vascularization functionality has broad application prospects in the future.Xiaoyu Han Mingjie Sun Bo Chen Qimanguli Saiding Junyue Zhang Hongliang Song Lianfu Deng Peng Wang Weiming Gong Wenguo Cui 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:4
4m6A RNA methylation-mediated HNF3γreduction renders hepatocellular carcinoma dedifferentiation and sorafenib resistance显示文摘Hepatocyte nuclear factor 3γ(HNF3γ)is a hepatocyte nuclear factor,but its role and clinical significance in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain unclear.Herein,we report that HNF3γexpression is downregulated in patient HCC and inversely correlated with HCC malignancy and patient survival.Moreover,our data suggested that the HNF3γreduction in HCC could be mediated by METTL14-dependent m6A methylation of HNF3γmRNA.HNF3γexpression was increased during hepatic differentiation and decreased in dedifferentiated HCC cells.Interestingly,HNF3γdelivery promoted differentiation of not only HCC cells but also liver CSCs,which led to suppression of HCC growth.Mechanistic analysis suggested an HNF3γ-centered regulatory network that includes essential liver differentiation-associated transcription factors and functional molecules,which could synergistically facilitate HCC cell differentiation.More importantly,enforced HNF3γexpression sensitized HCC cells to sorafenib-induced growth inhibition and cell apoptosis through transactivation of OATP1B1 and OATP1B3 expression,which are major membrane transporters for sorafenib uptake.Clinical investigation showed that patient-derived HCC xenografts with high HNF3γexpression exhibited a sorafenib response and patients with high HCC HNF3γlevels benefited from sorafenib therapy.Together,these results suggest that HNF3γplays an essential role in HCC differentiation and may serve as a therapeutic target and predictor of sorafenib benefit in patients.Tengfei Zhou Shichao Li Daimin Xiang Junyu Liu Wen Sun Xiuliang Cui Beifang Ning Xiao Li Zhuo Cheng Weiqi Jiang Cheng Zhang Xijun Liang Liang Li Xin Cheng Liu Hui Hongyang Wang Jin Ding 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:4
5Minor-effect QTL for heading date detected in crosses between indica rice cultivar Teqing and near isogenic lines of IR24显示文摘Identification of quantitative trait loci(QTL) having small effects on heading date(HD) is important for fine-tuning flowering time in rice(Oryza sativa L.). In this study, minor-effect QTL for HD were identified using five segregating rice populations, including a recombinant inbred line population derived from crosses between indica cultivar Teqing and near isogenic lines of IR24,and four populations derived from residual heterozygotes identified in the original population.HD data from these populations were obtained in multiple years or at two locations with different photoperiods. A total of 11 QTL were detected; they had small additive effects ranging from 0.21 to1.63 days. The QTL were all detected in different populations, locations and/or years, having consistent allelic effects across experiments and a stable magnitude across years at the same location. These QTL, and other minor-effect QTL that have been cloned or fine-mapped, generally do not have strong photoperiod sensitivity, and thus can be used in a wide range of ecogeographical conditions. Seven of the 11 QTL were different from those that have been cloned or fine-mapped, providing new candidates for gene cloning and marker-assisted breeding. Allelic effects of QTL corresponding to those that had been cloned or fine-mapped, were much smaller in this study than previously reported. 9Tracking the atomic pathways of Pt3Ni-Ni(OH)2 core-shell structures at the gas-liquid interface by in-situ liquid cell TEM显示文摘Using the in-situ liquid cell transmission electron microscopy, the three-stage growth of Pt3Ni-Ni(OH)2 core-shell structures at the gas-liquid interfaces was clearly observed, which consists of(1) a thermodynamically driven Pt3Ni alloy core by the monomer attachment,(2) a nickel(Ni) shell formation due to the depletion of the Pt salt precursor, and(3) the oxidation and of the Ni shell into Ni(OH)2 flakes. We also further observed the nucleation and growth of the Ni(OH)2 flakes on an existing layer either at the middle part or at the step edge. 11Controlled synthesis of hierarchically-structured MnCo_2O_4 and its potential as a high performance anode material显示文摘To satisfy the upsurging demand for energy storage in modern society,anode materials which can deliver high capacity have been intensively researched for the next generation lithium ion batteries.Typically,the binary MnCo_2O_4 with a characteristic coupled metal cations showed promising potential due to its high theoretical capacity and low cost.Here,by means of a well-designed synthesis control,we demonstrated a scalable process to achieve a hierarchical structure of MnCo_2O_4,which existed as uniform microspheres with embedded mesopores,showing favorable structural characters for high performance during a fast charge/discharge process.Our synthesis highlighted the importance of sodium salicylate as an essential additive to control the precipitation of the two involved metal cations.It was proved that a dual role was played sodium salicylate which cannot only facilitate the formation of microspheric shape,but also act as an effective precursor for the creation of inner mesopores.We confirmed that the hierarchically-structured MnCo_2O_4 showed outstanding performance when it was tested as an anode material in lithium ion batteries as revealed by its extraordinary cycling stability and high rate capability.Zixiao Wu Fuhai Li Yonggang Sun Deshan Bin Junyu Piao Xijie Lin Xiaochan Liu Anmin Cao Li-Jun Wan 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,9:0
12Photovoltaic-powered supercapacitors for driving overall water splitting:A dual-modulated 3D architecture显示文摘Due to the growing demand for clean and renewable hydrogen fuel,there has been a surge of interest in electrocatalytic water-splitting devices driven by renewable energy sources.However,the feasibility of self-driven water splitting is limited by inefficient connections between functional modules,lack of highly active and stable electrocatalysts,and intermittent and unpredictable renewable energy supply.Herein,we construct a dualmodulated three-dimensional(3D)NiCo_(2)O_(4)@NiCo_(2)S_(4)(denoted as NCONCS)heterostructure deposited on nickel foam as a multifunctional electrode for electrocatalytic water splitting driven by photovoltaic-powered supercapacitors.Due to a stable 3D architecture configuration,abundant active sites,efficient charge transfer,and tuned interface properties,the NCONCS delivers a high specific capacity and rate performance for supercapacitors.A twoelectrode electrolyzer assembled with the NCONCS as both the anode and the cathode only requires a low cell voltage of 1.47 V to achieve a current density of 10 mA cm^(−2) in alkaline electrolyte,which outperforms the state-of-the-art bifunctional electrocatalysts.Theoretical calculations suggest that the generated heterointerfaces in NCONCS improve the surface binding capability of reaction intermediates while regulating the local electronic structures,which thus accelerates the reaction kinetics of water electrolysis.As a proof of concept,an integrated configuration comprising a two-electrode electrolyzer driven by two series-connected supercapacitors charged by a solar cell delivers a high product yield with superior durability.Zixu Sun Lijuan Sun See Wee Koh Junyu Ge Jipeng Fei Mengqi Yao Wei Hong Shude Liu Yusuke Yamauchi Hong Li 2022Carbon Energy2022,4,6:0
13Lossless and High Robust Watermarking of Electronic Chart for Copyright Protection显示文摘With the progression of sea exploration and offshore engineering, electronic charts have come to see widespread use in many intelligent applications. Like other digital products, electronic charts are easy to duplicate and distribute. Some watermarking solutions have proven defective to prevent copying of electronic charts because it’s as easy to forge as it is to redistribute. If the problems of copyright infringement cannot be solved, the creation of these electronic charts will be limited. The most important characteristic of electronic charts is the topological relationships among vertices, but few algorithms can control this feature. A new watermarking algorithm is here proposed as a means of copyright protection, in which the watermarks will be hosted in the electronic chart by taking into account the preservation of the topology. Sometimes, additional vertices are inserted into the middle of two adjacent vertices, sometimes not, which are governed by the value of the watermark. 15Functional characterization of novel NPRL3 mutations identified in three families with focal epilepsy显示文摘Focal epilepsy accounts for 60% of all forms of epilepsy, but the pathogenic mechanism is not well understood. In this study,three novel mutations in NPRL3(nitrogen permease regulator-like 3), c.937_945del, c.1514dup C and 6,706-bp genomic DNA(g DNA) deletion, were identified in three families with focal epilepsy by linkage analysis, whole exome sequencing(WES) and Sanger sequencing. NPRL3 protein is a component of the GATOR1 complex, a major inhibitor of m TOR signaling. These mutations led to truncation of the NPRL3 protein and hampered the binding between NPRL3 and DEPDC5, which is another component of the GATOR1 complex. Consequently, the mutant proteins enhanced m TOR signaling in cultured cells, possibly due to impaired inhibition of m TORC1 by GATOR1. Knockdown of nprl3 in Drosophila resulted in epilepsy-like behavior and abnormal synaptic development. 16Mechanisms of PiT2-loop7 Missense Mutations Induced Pi Dyshomeostasis显示文摘PiT2 is an inorganic phosphate(Pi)transporter whose mutations are linked to primary familial brain calcification(PFBC).PiT2 mainly consists of two ProDom(PD)domains and a large intracellular loop region(loop7).The PD domains are crucial for the Pi transport,but the role of PiT2-loop7 remains unclear.In PFBC patients,mutations in PiT2-loop7 are mainly nonsense or frameshift mutations that probably cause PFBC due to C-PD1131 deletion.To date,six missense mutations have been identified in PiT2-loop7;however,the mechanisms by which these mutations cause PFBC are poorly understood.Here,we found that the p.T390A and p.S434W mutations in PiT2-loop7 decreased the Pi transport activity and cell surface levels of PiT2.Furthermore,we showed that these two mutations attenuated its membrane localization by affecting adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK)-or protein kinase B(AKT)-mediated PiT2 phosphorylation.In contrast,the p.S121C and p.S601W mutations in the PD domains did not affect PiT2 phosphorylation but rather impaired its substrate-binding abilities.These results suggested that missense mutations in PiT2-loop7 can cause Pi dyshomeostasis by affecting the phosphorylation-regulated cell-surface localization of PiT2.This study helps understand the pathogenesis of PFBC caused by PiT2-loop7 missense mutations and indicates that increasing the phosphorylation levels of PiT2-loop7 could be a promising strategy for developing PFBC therapies.Hao Sun Xuan Xu Junyu Luo Tingbin Ma Jiaming Cui Mugen Liu Bo Xiong Shujia Zhu Jing-Yu Liu 2023Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,1:0
17Optimized operation scheme of flash-memory-based neural network online training with ultra-high endurance显示文摘With the rapid development of machine learning,the demand for high-efficient computing becomes more and more urgent.To break the bottleneck of the traditional Von Neumann architecture,computing-in-memory(CIM)has attracted increasing attention in recent years.In this work,to provide a feasible CIM solution for the large-scale neural networks(NN)requiring continuous weight updating in online training,a flash-based computing-in-memory with high endurance(10^(9) cycles)and ultrafast programming speed is investigated.On the one hand,the proposed programming scheme of channel hot electron injection(CHEI)and hot hole injection(HHI)demonstrate high linearity,symmetric potentiation,and a depression process,which help to improve the training speed and accuracy.On the other hand,the low-damage programming scheme and memory window(MW)optimizations can suppress cell degradation effectively with improved computing accuracy.Even after 109 cycles,the leakage current(I_(off))of cells remains sub-10pA,ensuring the large-scale computing ability of memory.Further characterizations are done on read disturb to demonstrate its robust reliabilities.By processing CIFAR-10 tasks,it is evident that~90%accuracy can be achieved after 109 cycles in both ResNet50 and VGG16 NN.Our results suggest that flash-based CIM has great potential to overcome the limitations of traditional Von Neumann architectures and enable high-performance NN online training,which pave the way for further development of artificial intelligence(AI)accelerators.Yang Feng Zhaohui Sun Yueran Qi Xuepeng Zhan Junyu Zhang Jing Liu Masaharu Kobayashi Jixuan Wu Jiezhi Chen 2024Journal of Semiconductors2024,45,1:0
18Study on creep deformation and energy development of underground surrounding rock under four‐dimensional support显示文摘There is an urgent need to develop optimal solutions for deformation control of deep high‐stress roadways,one of the critical problems in underground engineering.The previously proposed four‐dimensional support(hereinafter 4D support),as a new support technology,can set the roadway surrounding rock under three‐dimensional pressure in the new balanced structure,and prevent instability of surrounding rock in underground engineering.However,the influence of roadway depth and creep deformation on the surrounding rock supported by 4D support is still unknown.This study investigated the influence of roadway depth and creep deformation time on the instability of surrounding rock by analyzing the energy development.The elastic strain energy was analyzed using the program redeveloped in FLAC3D.The numerical simulation results indicate that the combined support mode of 4D roof supports and conventional side supports is highly applicable to the stability control of surrounding rock with a roadway depth exceeding 520 m.With the increase of roadway depth,4D support can effectively restrain the area and depth of plastic deformation in the surrounding rock.Further,4D support limits the accumulation range and rate of elastic strain energy as the creep deformation time increases.4D support can effectively reduce the plastic deformation of roadway surrounding rock and maintain the stability for a long deformation period of 6 months.As confirmed by in situ monitoring results,4D support is more effective for the long‐term stability control of surrounding rock than conventional support.Zhanguo Ma Junyu Sun Peng Gong Pengfei Yan Nan Cui Ruichong Zhang 2024Deep Underground Science and Engineering2024,3,1:0
19Zonal differences of runoff and sediment reduction effects for typical management small watersheds in China显示文摘In this particular study,99 typical managed small watersheds which representing five water erosion areas in China were selected to study zonality of Runoff Reduction Efficiency(RRE)and of Sediment Reduction Efficiency(SRE).The RRE is the ratio of Effect of Runoff Reduction(ERR)by soil and water conservation measure over management degree in a watershed.And The SRE is the ratio of Effect of Sediment Reduction(ESR)by soil and water conservation measure over management degree in a watershed.First of ah,statistical analysis was applied to test the zonal effects of RRE and SRE between different water erosion regions.The results showed that the mean RRE values in northern regions were significantly greater than those of southern regions;and the mean SRE values in northern regions were significantly greater than those in southern regions.Next,the variation of RRE with runoff depth(H)was studied in direction of both latitude and longitude across regions influenced by East Asian Monsoon.Meanwhile,the variation of SRE with specific sediment yield(Y)was studied in direction of both latitude and longitude across regions influenced by East Asian Monsoon.The results showed that RRE had the inverse variation trend as H in both latitude and longitude direction and SRE had the same variation trend as Y in both latitude and longitude direction.Furthermore,the variation of unit management area Runoff Reduction Rate(RRR)with H and RRE was studied in direction of both latitude and longitude.And the variation of unit management area Sediment Reduction Rate(SRR)with Y and SRE was studied in direction of both latitude and longitude.It was found that RRR had the similar variation trend as H in latitude direction and there was critical point around 37°N greater than which RRR began to be equal to H or even larger;RRR had the similar variation trend as H in longitude direction and there was a critical point around 109°E lees than which RRR began to equal to or greater than H;SRR had the similar variation trend as Y in latitude direction and there was critical point around 36°N greater than which SRR began to be equal to Y or even larger;SRR had the similar variation trend as Y in longitude direction and there was a critical point around 106°E lees than which SRR began to equal to or greater than Y.The zonality of RRE,RRR,SRE and SRR was determined by the combined influence of climate variation and special landform in regions controlled by East Asian Monsoon in China.Qi Junyu Sun Liying Cai Qiangguo 2013International Soil and Water Conservation Research2013,1,1:0
