1Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. 2A versatile photodetector assisted by photovoltaic and bolometric effects显示文摘The advent of low-dimensional materials with peculiar structure and superb band properties provides a new canonical form for the development of photodetectors.However,the limited exploitation of basic properties makes it difficult for devices to stand out.Here,we demonstrate a hybrid heterostructure with ultrathin vanadium dioxide film and molybdenum ditelluride nanoflake.Vanadium dioxide is a classical semiconductor with a narrow bandgap,a high temperature coefficient of resistance,and phase transformation.Molybdenum ditelluride,a typical two-dimensional material,is often used to construct optoelectronic devices.The heterostructure can realize three different functional modes:(i)the p-n junction exhibits ultrasensitive detection(450 nm-2μm)with a dark current down to 0.2 pA and a response time of 17μs,(ii)the Schottky junction works stably under extreme conditions such as a high temperature of 400 K,and(iii)the bolometer shows ultrabroad spectrum detection exceeding 10μm.The flexible switching between the three modes makes the heterostructure a potential candidate for next-generation photodetectors from visible to longwave infrared radiation(LWIR).This type of photodetector combines versatile detection modes,shedding light on the hybrid application of novel and traditional materials,and is a prototype of advanced optoelectronic devices.Wei Jiang Tan Zheng Binmin Wu Hanxue Jiao Xudong Wang Yan Chen Xiaoyu Zhang Meng Peng Hailu Wang Tie Lin Hong Shen Jun Ge Weida Hu Xiaofeng Xu Xiangjian Meng Junhao Chu Jianlu Wang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
3Contrastive Analysis of Software Networks Based on Different Coupling Relationships显示文摘Several software network models are constructed based on the relationships between classes in the object-oriented software systems.Then,a variety of well-known open source software applications are statistically analyzed by using these models.The results show that: (1) Dependency network does play a key role in software architecture;(2) The exponents of in-degree and total-degree distribution functions of different networks differ slightly,while the exponent of out-degree varies obviously;(3) Weak-coupling relationships have greater impact on software architecture than strong-coupling relationships.Finally,a theoretically analysis on these statistical phenomena is proposed from the perspectives of software develop technology,develop process and developer’s habits,respectively.XU Guoai GAO Yang QI Yana PENG Junhao TANG Xianjing 2010China Communications2010,7,4:3
4All-fiber spatiotemporal mode-locking lasers with large modal dispersion显示文摘It is a challenging problem to balance the modal walk-off(modal dispersion) between multiple transverse modes and chromatic dispersion in long step-index multimode fibers(MMFs). By properly designing the oscillator, we have overcome the difficulty and successfully obtained an all-fiber spatiotemporal mode-locked laser based on step-index MMFs with large modal dispersion for the first time, to our knowledge. Various proofs of spatiotemporal mode-locking(STML) such as spatial, spectral, and temporal properties, are measured and characterized.This laser works at a fundamental frequency of 28.7 MHz, and achieves a pulse laser with single pulse energy of 8 nJ, pulse width of 20.1 ps, and signal-to-noise ratio of-70 dB. 5Original Sedimentary Pattern of an Inverted Basin:A Case Study from the Bozhong Depression,Offshore Bohai Bay Basin显示文摘The third member of Shahejie Formation(Sha-3 member; 42–38Ma of Eocene) in the Bozhong Depression,offshore Bohai Bay Basin was subject to multiple post-depositional modifications. The present structural framework of the Bozhong Depression,which is characterized by sags alternating with uplifts,does not reflect its original sedimentary pattern. Previous studies have not discussed the post-depositional modification of this succession,including the sedimentary pattern variations and the depositional geodynamic setting. This work determined the characteristics of the post-depositional modification and original sedimentary pattern of the Bozhong Depression through analysis of seismic data,well-log data and fission-track ages. The results demonstrate that the Shijiutuo rise,a major structural feature of the current basin,did not exist during the major depositional stage of the Sha-3 member,when the Qinnan sag was largely connected to the Bozhong sag to form a single contiguous deposition area within the basin. By contrast,the Shaleitian and Chengbei rises,located in the western part of the Bozhong Depression,have existed before the depositional period of the Eocene Sha-3 member; these features were manifested as syn-depositional tilted fault blocks,the uplifted footwall blocks of which provided sediments for the neighboring Shanan and Chengbei sags. The western part of the Bonan low rise,located in the southern part of the Bozhong Depression,did not experience uplifting during the depositional phase of the Eocene Sha-3 member. The Huanghekou sag was connected with the Bozhong sag in the western part of the Bozhong Depression. The original sedimentary boundary of the southern Miaoxi sag possibly extended eastward about 10 km and connected with the Bozhong sag at its northern part. The present-day Bodong low rise,which is bounded by the Tan–Lu fault zone,also formed after the depositional period of Eocene Sha-3 member. It is thus concluded that the Bozhong Depression formed a connected large-scale sub-basin during the depositional stage of the Eocene Sha-3 member. Several neighboring sags that are now separated by rises,including the Qinnan,Shanan,Chengbei,Huanghekou,Miaoxi and Bodong sags,formed a single contiguous depositional area during the Eocene. 10Critical adhesion areas of cells on micro-nanopatterns显示文摘Cell adhesion to extracellular matrices(ECM)is critical to physiological and pathological processes as well as biomedical and biotechnological applications.It has been known that a cell can adhere on an adhesive microisland only over a critical size.But no publication has concerned critical adhesion areas of cells on microislands with nanoarray decoration.Herein,we fabricated a series of micro-nanopatterns with different microisland sizes and arginine-glycine-aspartate(RGD)nanospacings on a nonfouling poly(ethylene glycol)background.Besides reproducing that nanospacing of RGD,a ligand of its receptor integrin(a membrane protein),significantly influences specific cell adhesion on bioactive nanoarrays,we confirmed that the concept of critical adhesion area originally suggested in studies of cells on micropatterns was justified also on the micro-nanopatterns,yet the latter exhibited more characteristic behaviors of cell adhesion.We found increased critical adhesion areas of human mesenchymal stem cells(hMSCs)on nanoarrayed microislands with increased RGD nanospacings.However,the numbers of nanodots with respect to the critical adhesion areas were not a constant.A unified interpretation was then put forward after combining nonspecific background adhesion and specific cell adhesion.We further carried out the asymptotic analysis of a series of micro-nanopatterned surfaces to obtain the effective RGD nanospacing on unpatterned free surfaces with densely grafted RGD,which could be estimated nonzero but has never been revealed previously without the assistance of the micro-nanopatterning techniques and the corresponding analysis.Shuang Zheng Qiong Liu Junhao He Xinlei Wang Kai Ye Xuan Wang Ce Yan Peng Liu Jiandong Ding 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:0

13Genetic Diversity and Genetic Structure of Maize Inbred Lines from Yunnan Revealed by SNP Chips显示文摘[Objectives]The genetic diversity and population genetic structure of 107 inbred lines of maize in Yunnan were analyzed,in order to provide technical support for maize germplasm innovation,genetic improvement of germplasm resources,variety management,and lay a solid foundation for exploring genes related to fine traits in the future.[Methods]The 107 maize inbred lines generalized in Yunnan were selected,and 45 backbone inbred lines commonly used in China were used as reference for heterotic group classification.On Axiom Maize 56K SNP Array platform,maize SNP chips(56K)were used to scan the whole maize genome,and the NJ-tree model of Treebest was used to construct a phylogenetic tree.Principal component analysis(PCA)was conducted by GCTA(genome-wide complex trait analysis)to reveal the genetic diversity and population genetic structure.[Results]In the 107 Yunnan local inbred lines,5533 uniformly distributed high-quality SNP marker sites were finally detected.Based on the analysis of these SNP marker sites,Nei s gene diversity index(H)of 107 maize germplasm genes was 0.2981-0.5000 with an average value being 0.4832,and polymorphism information content(PIC)values were 0.2536-0.3750 with an average value being 0.3662.The minimum allele frequency value was 0.5000-0.8178 with an average value being 0.5744.The analysis of population genetic structure showed that when K=6,the maximum value of△K was the maximum,which meant that the inbred lines used in this study could be divided into six groups.They were Tangsi Pingtou blood relationship group,PB blood relationship group,335 female blood relationship group,Zi 330 and the Lüda Honggu blood relationship group,unknown group 1 and unknown group 2.No inbred lines were divided into other heterotic groups.Among them,37 inbred lines from the 2 unknown groups could not be classified into the same group as the 10 known heterotic groups in China.The results of principal component analysis showed that the 107 maize inbred lines generalized in Yunnan could be clearly distinguished from the backbone maize inbred lines commonly used in China.Most of the maize inbred lines in Yunnan were concentrated near the reference backbone inbred lines.But some Yunnan inbred lines were far away from the reference inbred lines commonly used in China.[Conclusions]The maize germplasm resources in Yunnan area were rich in genetic diversity,including multiple heterotic groups,and there was a rich genetic basis of breeding parents.They could be clearly distinguished from the backbone inbred lines commonly used in China,and some of them had a long genetic distance from the backbone inbred lines.The resources which have good application potential can be used to create new heterotic groups.Junjiao GUAN Peng ZHANG Sheping LI Junhao LU Qingmei HUANG Xiaohong YANG Jianhua ZHANG Zhuke KANG 2021Agricultural Biotechnology2021,10,2:0

15Associative learning of a three-terminal memristor network for digits recognition显示文摘Imitating the associative intelligence of the biological brain is attractive but is poorly achieved in hardware because the complex tunable connection in neural networks is difficult to reproduce. We develop a circuit composed of a three-terminal memristor network to reproduce the biological conditioning process artificially. The synaptic weight between co-firing neurons is strengthened simultaneously by generating a feedback signal from the integrate-and-fire neuron to the gate of the synaptic memristor. The network allows the multi-associative capacity of recalling more than one digit in one circuit. Both single and multi-associative learning for recalling digital images are achieved. Furthermore, all 10 digital images from “0” to “9” are successfully recalled in an associative network with such paralleling circuits. 16Mixing of miscible shear-thinning fluids in a lid-driven cavity显示文摘The concentration and velocity fields of two refractive index matched miscible shear-thinning fluids in a lid-driven cavity were investigated by using planar laser-induced fluorescence and particle image velocimetry,as well by computational fluid dynamics.Quantitative analyses show that the results obtained by flow simulations with the species transport model are in good agreement with the experimental results.The effects of different parameters were studied by using the intensity of segregation.For two fluids with the same rheological parameters,the relative amounts of liquids H_(1)/H and the power-law index n dominate the mixing process while the Reynolds number Re plays a marginal role.As for two fluids with density difference,buoyancy has significant influence on the mixing process.The dimensionless group Ar/Re(redefined such as to include shear thinning behavior)is proposed for assessing the effect of buoyancy and rheological properties on the mixing of miscible shear-thinning fluids.Junhao Wang Shugang Ma Peng Chen Zhipeng Li Zhengming Gao J.J.Derksen 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,58,6:0
