| 2 | Selective separation of protein and saccharides by ionic liquids aqueous two-phase systems显示文摘In the present work,it was found that aqueous solution of a hydrophilic ionic liquid (IL),1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium dicyanamide ([C4mim][N(CN)2]),could be separated into an aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) by inorganic salts such as K2HPO4 and K3PO4.The top phase is IL-rich,while the bottom phase is phosphate-rich.It was shown that 82.7%-100% bovine serum albumin (BSA) could be enriched into the top phase and almost quantitative saccharides (arabinose,glucose,sucrose,raffinose or dextran) were preferentially extracted into the bottom phase in a single-step extraction by [C4mim][N(CN)2] + K2HPO4 ATPS.The extraction efficiency of BSA from the aqueous saccharide solutions was influenced by the molecular structure of saccharides.The conductivity,dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were combined to investigate the microstructure of the IL-rich top phase and the possible mechanism for the selective separation.It is suggested that the formation of the IL aggregate and the IL aggregate-BSA complex plays a significant role in the separation of BSA from aqueous saccharide solutions.This is the first example for the selective separation by ILs-based ATPSs.It is expected that these findings would have potential applications in bio-analysis,separation,and IL recycle. | PEI YuanChao LI ZhiYong LIU Li WANG JianJi WANG HuiYong | 2010 | Science China Chemistry2010,53,7: | 12 |
| 3 | Control scheme of hexagonal modular multilevel direct converter for offshore wind power integration via fractional frequency transmission system显示文摘A fractional frequency transmission system(FFTS)is a promising solution to offshore wind power integration,for which the hexagonal modular multilevel converter(Hexverter)is an attractive choice for power conversion.The Hexverter has recently been proposed to directly connect two three-phase systems of different frequencies and voltage amplitudes,with only six branches in the FFTS in that case.This paper examines for the first time the control scheme of the Hexverter when applied to offshore wind power integration via a FFTS.Firstly,the frequency-decoupled mathematical model of the Hexverter is deduced by introducing the double dq transformation.Then the branch energy of the Hexverter is analyzed in detail and the reactive power constraint equation is obtained.The corresponding control scheme is thoroughly discussed,including the inner loop current control,the outer loop voltage control in both grid-connected mode and passive mode,and a novel optimization method to minimize the circulating current in the Hexverter.Finally,a simulation model of offshore wind power integration via a 4-terminal FFTS based on the Hexverter is built in MATALB/Simulink to verify the feasibility of Hexverter and the effectiveness of the control scheme proposed in this paper. | Yongqing MENG Bo LIU Huiyong LUO Shuonan SHANG Haitao ZHANG Xifan WANG | 2018 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2018,6,1: | 12 |
| 4 | 2D nanoplate assembled nitrogen doped hollow carbon sphere decorated with Fe3O4 as an efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction and Zn-air batteries显示文摘Designing a highly efficient non-precious based oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalyst is critical for the commercialization of various sustainable energy storage and conversion devices such as metal-air batteries and fuel cells.Herein,we report a convenient strategy to synthesis Fe3O4 embedded in N doped hollow carbon sphere(NHCS)for ORR.What's interesting is that the carbon microsphere is composed of two-dimensional(2D)nanoplate that could provide more exposed active sites.The usage of solid ZnO nanowires as zinc source is crucial to obtain this structure.The Fe3O4@NHCS-2 exhibits better catalytic activity and durability than the commercial PtC catalyst.Moreover,it further displays high-performance of Zn-air batteries as a cathode electrocatalyst with a high-power density of 133 mW·cm^-2 and high specific capacity of 701 mA·h·g^-1.The special hollow structure composed 2D nanoplate,high surface area,as well as synergistic effect between the high active Fe3O4 nanoparticles and N-doped matrix endows this outstanding catalytic activity.The work presented here can be easily extended to prepare metal compounds decorated carbon nanomaterials with special structure for a broad range of energy storage and conversion devices. | Yanqiang Li Huiyong Huang Siru Chen Xin Yu Chao Wang Tingli Ma | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,11: | 9 |

| 6 | Hole mobility enhancement of Si by rhombohedral strain显示文摘The strain technology is an effective way to improve hole mobility and CMOS device performance. Tetragonal strain leading to hole mobility enhancement in strained Si (001) has been verified by two aspects of theories and experiments. In this paper, we aim to study rhombohedral strain effect on the hole mobility of Si, which results from growing on the (111) oriented relaxed Si1 xGex substrate. It is found that structure transformation of Si from cubic to trigonal system occurs under the biaxial tensile stress imposed by the (111) substrate and that its corresponding averaged hole mobility increases about one time at most in comparison with one of unstrained Si. | 7 | Anionic structural effect in liquid–liquid separation of phenol from model oil by choline carboxylate ionic liquids显示文摘Phenolic compounds exist in crude oil as pollutants, and their removal is vital important for the refining and further application of oils. In traditional separation approaches, strong acid and strong base have to be used to remove these compounds, which may cause serious environmental problems. In this work, 19 kinds of cholinium ionic liquids have been developed to separate phenol from model oil by liquid–liquid extraction. Structural effect of anions of the ionic liquids in the separation is systematically investigated. It is found that depending on the chemical structure of ionic liquids, phenol can be removed from toluene with single-step removal efficiency from 86 to 99% under optimal conditions. The type of substituent groups and the-CH_2 number between two carboxylates have obvious effect on the removal efficiency, and more hydrophilic ionic liquids have a stronger extraction performance for phenol. Furthermore, thermodynamic,^(13) C NMR,~1 H NMR and density functional theory calculations have been performed to characterize the extraction process and to understand the extraction mechanism. It is shown that the extraction of phenol from oil to ionic liquid is a favorable process, and this process is mainly driven by enthalpy change. | 9 | Enhancing phosphorus uptake efficiency through QTL-based selection for root system architecture in maize显示文摘Root system architecture(RSA) plays an important role in phosphorus(P) acquisition,but enhancing P use efficiency(PUE) in maize via genetic manipulation of RSA has not yet been reported.Here,using a maize recombinant inbred line(RIL) population,we investigated the genetic relationships between PUE and RSA,and developed P-efficient lines by selection of quantitative trait loci(QTLs) that coincide for both traits.In low-P(LP) fields,P uptake efficiency(Pup E) was more closely correlated with PUE(r =0.48-0.54),and RSA in hydroponics was significantly related to Pup E(r=0.25-0.30) but not to P utilization efficiency(Put E).QTL analysis detected a chromosome region where two QTLs for PUE,three for Pup E and three for RSA were assigned into two QTL clusters,Cl-bin3.04 a and Cl-bin3.04 b.These QTLs had favorable effects from alleles derived from the large-rooted and high-Pup E parent.Marker-assisted selection(MAS) identified nine advanced backcross-derived lines carrying Cl-bin3.04 a or Cl-bin3.04 b that displayed mean increases of 22%e26% in PUE in LP fields.Furthermore,a line L224 pyramiding Clbin3.04 a and Cl-bin3.04 b showed enhanced Pup E,relying mainly on changes in root morphology,rather than root physiology,under both hydroponic and field conditions.These results highlight the physiological and genetic contributions of RSA to maize Pup E,and provide a successful study case of developing P-efficient crops through QTL-based selection. | Riliang Gu Fanjun Chen Lizhi Long Hongguang Cai Zhigang Liu Jiabo Yang Lifeng Wang Huiyong Li Junhui Li Wenxin Liu Guohua Mi Fusuo Zhang Lixing Yuan | 2016 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2016,43,11: | 3 |
| 10 | MicroRNAs Are Involved in Maize Immunity Against Fusarium verticillioides Ear Rot显示文摘Fusarium ear rot(FER)caused by Fusarium verticillioides is one of the most common diseases affecting maize production worldwide.FER results in severe yield losses and grain contamination with health-threatening mycotoxins.Although most studies to date have focused on comprehensive analysis of gene regulation in maize during defense responses against F.verticillioides infection,less is known about the role of micro RNAs(mi RNAs)in this process.We used deep sequencing to compare small RNA libraries from the maize kernels of susceptible(N6)or resistant(BT-1)inbred lines from uninfected plants and upon F.verticillioides infection.We found that pathogen exposure was accompanied by dynamic alterations in expression levels of multiple mi RNAs,including new members of previously annotated mi RNA families.A combination of transcriptomic,degradomic,and bioinformatics analyses revealed that F.verticillioides-responsive mi RNAs and their potential target genes displayed opposite expression patterns in the susceptible and resistant genotypes.Functional category analysis uncovered preferential enrichment of the pathogen-responsive mi RNAs and their targets in the phenylpropanoid metabolic processes,plant–pathogen interactions,and plant phytohormone signal transduction pathways.Furthermore,transgenic maize plants overexpressing mi R408 b exhibited reduced resistance to F.verticillioides infection in a susceptible maize line.These findings provide new insights into the regulatory roles of mi RNAs in maize immunity against FER and new resources for breeding disease resistance into maize. | Zijian Zhou Yan Cao Tao Li Xinghao Wang Jiafa Chen Hang He Wen Yao Jianyu Wu Huiyong Zhang | 2020 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,3: | 3 |

| 12 | Parameter estimation of maneuvering targets in OTHR based on sparse time-frequency representation显示文摘This paper proposes a new method for estimating the parameter of maneuvering targets based on sparse time-frequency transform in over-the-horizon radar(OTHR). In this method, the sparse time-frequency distribution of the radar echo is obtained by solving a sparse optimization problem based on the short-time Fourier transform. Then Hough transform is employed to estimate the parameter of the targets. The proposed algorithm has the following advantages: Compared with the Wigner-Hough transform method, the computational complexity of the sparse optimization is low due to the application of fast Fourier transform(FFT). And the computational cost of Hough transform is also greatly reduced because of the sparsity of the time-frequency distribution. Compared with the high order ambiguity function(HAF) method, the proposed method improves in terms of precision and robustness to noise. Simulation results show that compared with the HAF method, the required SNR and relative mean square error are 8 dB lower and 50 dB lower respectively in the proposed method. | 18 | Mapping QTLs on BTA6 affecting milk production traits in a Chinese Holstein population显示文摘A Chinese Holstein population with daughter design was analyzed using 14 microsatellites covering a map distance of 55.7 cM on chromosome 6 to fine map QTL for five milk production traits. 26 paternal half-sib families with 2356 daughters were involved. Two different approaches, linear regression approach and variance component ap-proach, were employed, with a one-QTL model and two-QTL model fitted. With a one-QTL model, the linear regression approach revealed a QTL near BMS470 with effects on milk yield, fat yield, protein yield, and fat percentage, and another QTL near BMS2460 for protein percentage. The variance component approach confirmed the results of linear regres-sion approach for the three yield traits, with the exception that the QTL for fat yield was mapped to a different position near BMS1242. The 95% confidence intervals resulted from linear regression, obtained by bootstrapping, were generally large, ranging from 31 to 53 cM, whereas the variance com-ponent approach revealed very small confidence intervals, calculated by LOD drop-off method, for the three yield traits, only 4―5 cM. With a two-QTL model, both approaches pro-vided strong evidence for the existence of two QTLs for the three yield traits.
