| 2 | Integration of GPS and low cost INS for pedestrian navigation aided by building layout显示文摘In outdoor environments,GPS is often used for pedestrian navigation by utilizing its signals for position computation,but in indoor or semi-obstructed environments,GPS signals are often unavailable.Therefore,pedestrian navigation for these environments should be realized by the integration of GPS and inertial navigation system(INS).However,the lowcost INS could induce errors that may result in a large position drift.The problem can be minimized by mounting the sensors on the pedestrian's foot,using zero velocity update(ZUPT) method with the standard navigation algorithm to restrict the error growth.However,heading drift still remains despite using ZUPT measurements since the heading error is unobservable.Also,foot mounted INS suffers from the initialization ambiguity of position and heading from GPS.In this paper,a novel algorithm is developed to mitigate the heading drift problem when using ZUPT.The method uses building layout to aid the heading measurement in Kalman flter,and it could also be combined for the initialization.The algorithm has been investigated with real feld trials using the low cost Microstrain3DM-GX3-25 inertial sensor,a Leica GS10 GPS receiver and a uBlox EVK-6T GPS receiver.It could be concluded that the proposed method offers a signifcant improvement in position accuracy for the long period,allowing pedestrian navigation for nearly40 min with mean position error less than 2.8 m.This method also has a considerable effect on the accuracy of the initialization. | Feng Wenquan Zhao Hongbo Zhao Qi Li Jingwen | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,5: | 8 |

| 4 | FABP4 secreted by M1-polarized macrophages promotes synovitis and angiogenesis to exacerbate rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Increasing evidence shows that adipokines play a vital role in the development of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Fatty acid-binding protein 4(FABP4),a novel adipokine that regulates inflammation and angiogenesis,has been extensively studied in a variety of organs and diseases.However,the effect of FABP4 on RA remains unclear.Here,we found that FABP4 expression was upregulated in synovial M1-polarized macrophages in RA.The increase in FABP4 promoted synovitis,angiogenesis,and cartilage degradation to exacerbate RA progression in vivo and in vitro,whereas BMS309403(a FABP4 inhibitor)and anagliptin(dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor)inhibited FABP4 expression in serum and synovial M1-polarized macrophages in mice to alleviate RA progression.Further studies showed that constitutive activation of mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1(mTORC1)by TSC1 deletion specifically in the myeloid lineage regulated FABP4 expression in macrophages to exacerbate RA progression in mice.In contrast,inhibition of mTORC1 by ras homolog enriched in brain(Rheb1)disruption specifically in the myeloid lineage reduced FABP4 expression in macrophages to attenuate RA development in mice.Our findings established an essential role of FABP4 that is secreted by M1-polarized macrophages in synovitis,angiogenesis,and cartilage degradation in RA.BMS309403 and anagliptin inhibited FABP4 expression in synovial M1-polarized macrophages to alleviate RA development.Hence,FABP4 may represent a potential target for RA therapy. | Dong Guo Chuangxin Lin Yuheng Lu Hong Guan Weizhong Qi Hongbo Zhang Yan Shao Chun Zeng Rongkai Zhang Haiyan Zhang Xiaochun Bai Daozhang Cai | 2022 | Bone Research2022,10,4: | 5 |
| 5 | Clinical applications of free medial tibial flap with posterior tibial artery for head and neck reconstruction after tumor resection显示文摘Tumor resection causes damage in the head and neck which creates problems in swallowing, chewing, articulation,and vision, all of which seriously affect patients' quality of life. In this work, we evaluated the application of a free medial tibial flap in reconstruction of head and neck defects after tumor resection. We discussed the anatomy,surgical technique, and the advantages and disadvantages of the flap. We found several benefits for the flap, such as,it is especially effective for the defects that require thin-layer epithelium to cover or the separated soft tissue defect;a two-team approach can be used because the donor site is far away from the head and neck; and the flap is easy to integrate because of the subcutaneous fat layer of the free medial tibial flap is thin and the flap is soft. | 6 | The metabolic role of LncZBTB39-1:2 in the trophoblast mobility of preeclampsia显示文摘Preeclampsia is characterized by new onset of hypertension and proteinuria after 20 weeks’gestation and is a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.The pathogenesis of preeclampsia is often associated with aberrant trophoblast function that leads to shallow placental implantation.However,the exact underlying mechanisms remain unclear.Placental LncZBTB39-1:2 expression level was investigated in 20 healthy placentae and 20 placentae with preeclampsia using qRT-PCR,and the metabolic profile of trophoblasts overexpressing LncZBTB39-1:2 in vitro was analysed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GCeMS).In this study,we found that the expression of LncZBTB39-1:2 was significantly higher in preeclamptic placentae than in healthy placentae.Our metabolomics results have shown that tricarboxylic acid cycle intermediates and metabolites related to carbohydrate metabolism were decreased with the overexpression of LncZBTB39-1:2 in HTR8/SVneo cells.These findings were validated by detecting a lower level of intracellular ATP in HTR8/Vneo cells.Furthermore,the migration of HTR8/SVneo cells was compromised when cells were transfected with a plasmid encompassing LncZBTB39-1:2 overexpression.From these results,we conclude that abnormal levels of LncZBTB39-1:2 expression might lead to aberrant conditions in HTR-8/SVneo trophoblast cells.Aberrant conditions might be associated with dysregulated trophoblast migration and subsequent failure of uterine spiral artery remodelling,a pathogenesis recognised as a contributing factor in the aetiology of preeclampsia. | Yamin Liu Ting-Li Han Xiaofang Luo Yuxiang Bai Xuehai Chen Wei Peng Xi Xiong Philip N.Baker Chao Tong Hongbo Qi | 2018 | Genes & Diseases2018,5,3: | 3 |
| 7 | Human endogenous retroviral syncytin exerts inhibitory effect on invasive phenotype of B16F10 melanoma cells显示文摘Objective:Fusogenic endogenous retroviral syncytin plays an important role in the formation of syncytiotrophoblasts in human placenta.Apart from its expression in placenta,brain and testis,syncytin has also been found in many cancers.Although syncytin has been proposed to serve as a positive prognostic marker in some cancers,the underlying mechanism is unclear.The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of syncytin expression on the invasive phenotype of melanoma cells.Methods:The eukaryotic expression plasmid for syncytin-EGFP was constructed and transfected into B16F10 melanoma cells.The effect of syncytin on the invasion potential of tumor cells was evaluated in B16F10 subline cells that stably expressed syncytin-EGFP fusion protein or EGFP alone.Results:The B16F10 sublines that stably expressed syncytin-EGFP or EGFP alone were established respectively and confirmed by immunofluorescent and immunoblotting assay.Syncytin expression in B16F10cells was associated with decreased cell proliferation,migration and invasion.Multinucleated giant cells that contained as many as five nuclei were induced in syncytin-expressing cells.In addition,syncytin expression did not alter the sensitivity of B16F10 cells to trichosanthin,a toxin that damages syncytiotrophoblasts more efficiently than other tissues.Conclusions:These results suggest that syncytin expression in some cancers may confine their invasion potential and thus serve as a positive prognostic factor. | Hongbo Mo Dongyun Ouyang Lihui Xu Qi Gao Xianhui He | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,5: | 3 |

| 11 | Construction of Dual-Biofunctionalized Chitosan/Collagen Scaffolds for Simultaneous Neovascularization and Nerve Regeneration显示文摘Biofunctionalization of artificial nerve implants by incorporation of specific bioactive factors has greatly enhanced the success of grafting procedures for peripheral nerve regeneration.However,most studies on novel biofunctionalized implants have emphasized the promotion of neuronal and axonal repair over vascularization,a process critical for long-term functional restoration.We constructed a dual-biofunctionalized chitosan/collagen composite scaffold with Ile-Lys-Val-Ala-Val(IKVAV)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)by combining solution blending,in situ lyophilization,and surface biomodification.Immobilization of VEGF and IKVAV on the scaffolds was confirmed both qualitatively by staining and quantitatively by ELISA.Various single-and dual-biofunctionalized scaffolds were compared for the promotion of endothelial cell(EC)and Schwann cell(SC)proliferation as well as the induction of angiogenic and neuroregeneration-associated genes by these cells in culture.The efficacy of these scaffolds for vascularization was evaluated by implantation in chicken embryos,while functional repair capacity in vivo was assessed in rats subjected to a 10mm sciatic nerve injury.Dual-biofunctionalized scaffolds supported robust EC and SC proliferation and upregulated the expression levels of multiple genes and proteins related to neuroregeneration and vascularization.Dual-biofunctionalized scaffolds demonstrated superior vascularization induction in embryos and greater promotion of vascularization,myelination,and functional recovery in rats.These findings support the clinical potential of VEGF/IKVAV dual-biofunctionalized chitosan/collagen composite scaffolds for facilitating peripheral nerve regeneration,making it an attractive candidate for repairing critical nerve defect.The study may provide a critical experimental and theoretical basis for the development and design of new artificial nerve implants with excellent biological performance. | Guicai Li Qi Han Panjian Lu Liling Zhang Yuezhou Zhang Shiyu Chen Ping Zhang Luzhong Zhang Wenguo Cui Hongkui Wang Hongbo Zhang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 2 |
| 12 | SnRK1 Phosphorylates and Destabilizes WRKY3 to Enhance Barley Immunity to Powdery Mildew显示文摘Plants recognize pathogens and activate immune responses,which usually involve massive transcriptional reprogramming.The evolutionarily conserved kinase,Sucrose non-fermenting-related kinase 1(SnRK1),functions as a metabolic regulator that is essential for plant growth and stress responses.Here,we identify barley SnRK1 and a WRKY3 transcription factor by screening a cDNA library.SnRK1 interacts with WRKY3 in yeast,as confirmed by pull-down and luciferase complementation assays.Förster resonance energy transfer combined with noninvasive fluorescence lifetime imaging analysis indicates that the interaction occurs in the barley nucleus.Transient expression and virus-induced gene silencing analyses indicate that WRKY3 acts as a repressor of disease resistance to the Bgh fungus.Barley plants overexpressing WRKY3 have enhanced fungal microcolony formation and sporulation.Phosphorylation assays show that SnRK1 phosphorylates WRKY3 mainly at Ser83 and Ser112 to destabilize the repressor,and WRKY3 non-phosphorylation-null mutants at these two sites are more stable than the wild-type protein.SnRK1-overexpressing barley plants display enhanced disease resistance to Bgh.Transient expression of SnRK1 reduces fungal haustorium formation in barley cells,which probably requires SnRK1 nuclear localization and kinase activity.Together,these findings suggest that SnRK1 is directly involved in plant immunity through phosphorylation and destabilization of the WRKY3 repressor,revealing a new regulatory mechanism of immune derepression in plants. | Xinyun Han Ling Zhang Lifang Zhao Pengya Xue Ting Qi Chunlei Zhang Hongbo Yuan Lixun Zhou Daowen Wang Jinlong Qiuand Qian-Hua Shen | 2020 | Plant Communications2020,1,4: | 2 |

| 17 | Trends of Mortality in End-Stage Liver Disease—China,2008–2020显示文摘Introduction:Liver cancer and cirrhosis represent the most prevalent forms of end-stage liver diseases(ESLDs).Notably,in China,deaths attributed to ESLDs contribute significantly to the global mortality rate of these disorders.Enhanced comprehension of the mortality profile associated with ESLDs in China could provide crucial insights into intervention prioritization,which could in turn help reduce the overall global burden of these diseases.Methods:Data were obtained from China’s Disease Surveillance Points system.The presentation includes both crude and age-standardized mortality rates,stratified by sex,residential location,and region.Using Joinpoint Regression,trends in annual mortality rates were estimated from the period of 2008 to 2020 and expressed as the average annual percentage change(AAPC).Results:In 2020,the gross mortality rate of ESLD stood at 30.08 cases per 100,000 individuals.A higher age-standardized ESLD mortality rate was observed in males and rural populations in comparison to their female and urban counterparts,respectively.Noticeably,the highest mortality rates associated with liver cancer and cirrhosis were reported in South and Southwest China,respectively.A positive correlation was noticed between age-specific ESLD mortality rates and advancing age.Interestingly,an annual decrease in the ESLD mortality rate was observed from 2008 to 2020.In urban contexts,the AAPC of cirrhosis was noted to be higher than that of liver cancer.Conclusions:The mortality rate associated with ESLDs in China decreased between 2008 and 2020.Nevertheless,the death burden attributable to ESLD continues to be alarmingly high.Future initiatives should prioritize the reduction of ESLD mortality in particular populations:males,elderly individuals,and those residing in rural regions of South and Southwest China.The emphasis of future interventions should beplaced on antiviral therapy for adults diagnosed with viral hepatitis,and on the prevention of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection across all demographics. | Xiaoxiao Wang Huixin Liu Jinlei Qi Fangfang Zeng Lijun Wang Peng Yin Feng Liu Hongbo Li Yunning Liu Jiangmei Liu Lai Wei Xiaofeng Liang Yu Wang Huiying Rao Maigeng Zhou | 2023 | China CDC weekly2023,5,30: | 1 |
