2Real-time dynamics of soliton triplets in fiber lasers显示文摘The evolution of soliton molecules emphasizes the complex soliton dynamics akin to matter molecules.Beyond the simplest soliton molecule-a soliton pair constituted by two bound pulses-soliton molecules with more constituents have more degrees of freedom because of the temporal pulse separations and relative phases.Here we detailedly characterize the transient dynamics of soliton triplets in fiber lasers by using the dispersive Fourier transform measurement.A particular form of leading,central,and tailing pulses is constructed to shed new light on more intriguing scenarios and fuel the molecular analogy.Especially the vibrating dynamics of the central and tailing pulses are captured near the regime of equally spaced soliton triplets,which is reminiscent of the recurrent timing jitters within multi-pulse structures.Further insights enable acess into a universal form of unequally spaced soliton triplets interpreted as 2+1 soliton molecules.Different binding strengths of intramo-lecular and intermolecular bonds are validated with respect to the diverse internal motions involved in this soliton triplet molcule.All these findings unveil the transient dynamics with more degrees of freedom as well as highlight the possible application for all-optical bit storage.YIYANG LUO RAN XIA PERRY PING SHUM WENJUN NI YUSONG LIU HUY QUOC LAM QIZHEN SUN XIAHUI TANG LUMING ZHAO 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:3

4Hierarchically porous Fe/N/S/C nanospheres with high-content of Fe-Nx for enhanced ORR and Zn-air battery performance显示文摘Heteroatom-doped carbon-based transition-metal single-atom catalysts(SACs) are promising electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). Herein, with the aid of hierarchically porous silica as hard template, a facile and general melting perfusion and mesopore-confined pyrolysis method was reported to prepare single-atomic Fe/N–S-doped carbon catalyst(FeNx/NC-S) with hierarchically porous structure and well-defined morphology. The FeNx/NC-S exhibited excellent ORR activity with a half-wave potential(E_(1/2)) of 0.92 V, and a lower overpotential of 320 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)for OER under alkaline condition. The remarkable electrocatalysis performance can be attributed to the hierarchically porous carbon nanospheres with S doping and high content of Fe-Nx sites(up to 3.7 wt% of Fe), resulting from the nano-confinement effect of the hierarchically porous silica spheres(NKM-5) during the pyrolysis process. The rechargeable Zn-air battery with FeNx/NC-S as a cathode catalyst demonstrated a superior power density of 194.5 mW cm-2charge–discharge stability. 8Development of branchless watermelon near isogenic lines by marker assisted selection显示文摘Pruning is time-consuming and laborious in watermelon cultivation,which can not meet the needs for simplified cultivation in the future.The development of branchless lines will provide important germplasms for breeding watermelon varieties and is an important method for genetic improvement.In this study,the watermelon accession,Wu Cha Zao(WCZ)is a branchless inbred line that carries the branchless gene Clbl,which was used as the donor parent to develop branchless near isogenic lines(NILs).To construct the NILs of Clbl,WCZ crossed with the normal branching watermelon inbred line WT20 which was used as the recurrent parent.The co-segregating markers dCAPS10 and Indel1 with Clbl were used for foreground selection,and a total of 108 SSR markers was selected with good polymorphism between two parental lines for background selection which had relatively uniform distribution across 11 chromosomes.Using these markers to select individuals from the BC_(1)F_(1),BC_(2)F_(1),and BC_(2)F_(2) generations,three NILs with a proportion of recurrent parent genome(PRPG)>99%were finally obtained.The lateral branch and plant height phenotypes did not significantly differ between the NILs and WCZ,indicating that the NILs of Clbl under the genetic background of WT20 has been successfully developed.These results provide ideal materials for further in-depth analysis of the genetic mechanisms of lateral branch development and ideal plant architecture breeding in watermelon.Junling Dou Yinping Wang Huihui Yang Huanhuan Niu Dongming Liu Sen Yang Huayu Zhu Shouru Sun Luming Yang 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,5:1
9Quantification of traffic-induced compaction based on soil and agricultural implement parameters显示文摘Vehicle-induced soil compaction occurs when agricultural machinery is working in the fields.The accumulated soil compaction could destroy soil structure and inhibit crop growth.The low degree of visualization of soil compaction has always been an important reason for restricting the development of compaction alleviation technology.Therefore,the main objective of this study was to predict soil compaction based on soil and agricultural implement parameters.The component of soil compaction prediction includes traffic-induced stress transmission evaluation and the quantitative relationship between soil stress and bulk density.The modified FRIDA model was used to elucidate the soil stress propagation,which has been validated by previous studies.The Bailey formula was used to establish the intrinsic relationship between soil stress and bulk density.The soil uniaxial compression test was applied to obtain the parameters of the Bailey formula,and soil samples were prepared with three different levels of water content.After fitting with the Bailey formula,under the condition that the soil moisture contents were 16%,20%,and 24%,the fitting coefficients of soil bulk density were respectively 0.980,0.959,and 0.975,which were close to 1.The results indicated that the Bailey formula could be used to calculate soil bulk density based on the stress conditions of the soil.To verify the practicality of the soil compaction prediction model,a field experiment was carried out in Zhuozhou City,Hebei Province,China.The treatment was set for 1,3,5,7,and 9 times compaction with two different loads of compaction equipment.The results showed that the fit coefficient between the predicted and measured values of soil bulk density was greater than 0.641.The slope of the equation was greater than 0.782,proving that the soil bulk density prediction model based on agricultural implements and soil parameters has a good predictive effect on soil bulk density.The soil compaction evaluation model can provide a theoretical basis to further understand the soil compaction mechanism,allowing rational measures of soil compaction alleviation to be made.Xianliang Wang Xiangcai Zhang Xiaona Lin Luming Sha Hanyu Yang Zhaoyang Guo Zeyu Chen Rongyan Sun 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,5:1
10HD-Zip Transcription Factor is Responsible for No-Lobed Leaf in Watermelon(Citrullus lanatus L.)显示文摘Leaf is a vital organ of plants that plays an essential role in photosynthesis and respiration.As an important agronomic trait in leaf development,leaf shape is classified into lobed,entire(no-lobed),and serrated in most crops.In this study,two-lobed leaf watermelon inbred lines WT2 and WCZ,and a no-lobed leaf watermelon inbred line WT20 were used to create two F_(2)populations.Segregation analysis suggested that lobed leaves were dominant over the no-lobed leaves,and it was controlled by a signal gene.A locus on watermelon chromosome 4 controlling watermelon lobed/no-lobed leaves was identified through BSA-seq strategy combined with linkage analysis.The candidate gene was fine-mapped to a 61.5 kb region between 21,224,481 and 21,285,957 bp on watermelon chromosome 4 using two F_(2)populations.Four functional genes were annotated in the candidate region,while sequences blast showed that there was a single-base deletion(A/-)only in the exon of Cla018360,which resulted in premature termination of translation in the no-lobed leaf lines.Function prediction showed that Cla018360 encodes an HD-Zip protein that has been reported to regulate the development of leaf shape.The single-base deletion also occurred in the HD-Zip domain.We inferred that the Cla018360 gene is the candidate gene for regulating the development of lobed/no-lobed leaves in watermelon.Gene expression analysis showed that Cla018360 was highly expressed in young leaves.Phylogenetic analysis showed that Cla018360 had a close genetic relationship with AtHB51,which had been reported to regulate the formation of leaf shape in Arabidopsis.Furthermore,transcriptome analysis showed that a total of 333 differentially expressed genes were identified between WT2 and WT20,of which 115 and 218 genes were upregulated and downregulated in no-lobed leaved watermelon WT20.This study not only provides a good entry point for studying leaf development but also provides foundational insights into breeding for special plant architecture in watermelon.Shixiang Duan Yaomiao Guo Yinping Wang Muhammad Jawad Umer Dongming Liu Sen Yang Huanhuan Niu Shouru Sun Luming Yang Junling Dou Huayu Zhu 2023Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,5:1

17Identification of candidate genes that regulate the trade-off between seedling cold tolerance and fruit quality in melon (Cucumis melo L.)显示文摘Trade-offs between survival and growth are widely observed in plants.Melon is an annual,trailing herb that produces economically valuable fruits that are traditionally cultivated in early spring in China.Melon seedlings are sensitive to low temperatures,and thus usually suffer from cold stress during the early growth period.However,little is known about the mechanism behind the trade-offs between seedling cold tolerance and fruit quality in melon.In this study,a total of 31 primary metabolites were detected from the mature fruits of eight melon lines that differ with respect to seedling cold tolerance;these included 12 amino acids,10 organic acids,and 9 soluble sugars.Our results showed that concentrations of most of the primary metabolites in the cold-resistant melons were generally lower than in the cold-sensitive melons;the greatest difference in metabolite levels was observed between the cold-resistant line H581 and the moderately cold-resistant line HH09.The metabolite and transcriptome data for these two lines were then subjected to weighted correlation network analysis,resulting in the identification of five key candidate genes underlying the balancing between seedling cold tolerance and fruit quality.Among these genes,CmEAF7 might play multiple roles in regulating chloroplast development,photosynthesis,and the ABA pathway.Furthermore,multi-method functional analysis showed that CmEAF7 can certainly improve both seedling cold tolerance and fruit quality in melon.Our study identified an agriculturally important gene,CmEAF7,and provides a new insight into breeding methods to develop melon cultivars with seedling cold tolerance and high fruit quality.Lili Li Qiong Li Bin Chen Jiyu Wang Fei Ding Panqiao Wang Xiuyue Zhang Juan Hou Renren Luo Xiang Li Jingwen Zheng Sen Yang Luming Yang Lei Zhu Shouru Sun Changsheng Ma Qin Li Ying Li Jianbin Hu 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,7:0
18Carbon nitride with encapsulated nickel for semi-hydrogenation of acetylene: pyridinic nitrogen is responsible for hydrogen dissociative adsorption显示文摘A new mechanism of catalyst has been demonstrated in this article. With the interaction between carbon nitride(CN) and encapsulated nickel, the CN in the catalyst has been endowed with new active sites for the adsorption and activation of hydrogen while nickel itself is physically isolated from the contact with reactive molecules. For the selective hydrogenation of acetylene in large amount of ethylene, the catalyst shows excellent ethylene selectivity than the nickel catalyst itself, which is almost totally unselective. Meanwhile, the CN itself is inactive for the reaction. The results of characterization demonstrate that pyridinic nitrogen doped in the carbon matrix should be the active sites for hydrogen dissociative adsorption. The theoretical calculations further confirm the results and provide with the detail in the electron transfer between nickel and CN in the catalyst. 20Prenatal Phenotypical Discrepancy in Monozygotic Twins with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex显示文摘Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is an autosomal-dominant genetic disorder characterized by the development of hamartomas in the brain, heart, skin, kidney, lung, retina, and so on. One fetus from family 1 had a cardiac rhabdomyoma from 21 weeks and 6 days of gestational age, and developed multiple rhabdomyomas and tubers in the brain at 23 weeks and 5 days. The counter monozygotic twin fetus remained negative throughout the pregnancy according to imaging examination. A nonsense mutation inTSC2 (c.4762C>T, p.Gln1588*) was identified in both twins, but not in the mother. Family 2 was one pair of twin fetuses caused by a microdeletion of exon 30 withinTSC2 inherited from their apparently asymptomatic mother with mosaic status. The larger fetus was identified as having the first cardiac rhabdomyoma from 17 weeks and 4 days of gestational age. The smaller fetus developed multiple rhabdomyomas until 25 weeks and 6 days of gestational age. Both families terminated the pregnancy.
