| 1 | Novel fibrin-fibronectin matrix accelerates mice skin wound healing显示文摘Plasma fibrinogen(F1)and fibronectin(pFN)polymerize to form a fibrin clot that is both a hemostatic and provisional matrix for wound healing.About 90%of plasma F1 has a homodimeric pair ofγchains(γγF1),and 10%has a heterodimeric pair ofγand more acidicγ′chains(γγ′F1).We have synthesized a novel fibrin matrix exclusively from a 1:1(molar ratio)complex ofγγ′F1 and pFN in the presence of highly active thrombin and recombinant Factor XIII(rFXIIIa).In this matrix,the fibrin nanofibers were decorated with pFN nanoclusters(termedγγ′F1:pFN fibrin).In contrast,fibrin made from 1:1 mixture ofγγF1 and pFN formed a sporadic distribution of“pFN droplets”(termedγγF1+pFN fibrin).Theγγ′F1:pFN fibrin enhanced the adhesion of primary human umbilical vein endothelium cells(HUVECs)relative to theγγF1+FN fibrin.Three dimensional(3D)culturing showed that theγγ′F1:pFN complex fibrin matrix enhanced the proliferation of both HUVECs and primary human fibroblasts.HUVECs in the 3Dγγ′F1:pFN fibrin exhibited a starkly enhanced vascular morphogenesis while an apoptotic growth profile was observed in theγγF1+pFN fibrin.Relative toγγF1+pFN fibrin,mouse dermal wounds that were sealed byγγ′F1:pFN fibrin exhibited accelerated and enhanced healing.This study suggests that a 3D pFN presentation on a fibrin matrix promotes wound healing. | Carlos Poblete Jara Ou Wang Thais Paulino do Prado Ayman Ismail Frank Marco Fabian Han Li Licio A.Velloso Mark A.Carlson William Burgess Yuguo Lei William H.Velander Eliana P.Araújo | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,4: | 5 |

| 3 | Stego key searching for LSB steganography on JPEG decompressed image显示文摘At present, steganalysis research focuses on detecting the existence of a hidden message. However,extracting the hidden information, i.e., an extracting attack, is crucial in obtaining effective evidence in computer forensics. Due to the difficulty of an extracting attack, research in this field is limited. In steganography with a stego key, an extracting attack is equivalent to recovering the stego key. In this paper we study a method for recovering the stego key in least significant bit(LSB) steganography with a decompressed JPEG image as the cover image. Firstly, the recovery of the stego key is translated into a cryptanalysis problem for a sequential cipher. The method for recovering the stego key is based on estimating the modification positions. The minimum size of the data used to recover the stego key successfully is discussed. Secondly, when a decompressed JPEG image is used as the cover image, the probability of recovering the cover pixels using recompression is discussed.Recompression is used to compute the error of the estimated sequence. Finally, an algorithm to recover the stego key in LSB steganography with a decompressed JPEG image as the cover image is proposed. | 7 | Plasma biomarkers and plaque strain predict long-term cardiovascular events in patients with acute coronary syndrome显示文摘To test whether circulating and intracoronary biomarkers and coronary plaque strain have additive values to Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events(GRACE) score for predicting long-term cardiovascular events in ACS patients. One hundred ACS patients were enrolled and the GRACE score and plasma levels and intracoronary gradients of a number of biomarkers were measured. Coronary plaque burden and morphology in non-critical stenotic plaques were determined by intravascular ultrasound(IVUS) technique, and the maximal shear strain(SSmax) and maximal area strain(ASmax) were determined by intravascular ultrasound elastography(IVUSE) technique. Patients were followed for cardiovascular events and the predictive values of clinical characteristics, plasma biomarkers and plaque parameters were compared with GRACE score, and the incremental values of these measurements to the GRACE score were assessed. GRACE score, plasma biomarkers and plaque strain were independent predictors of cardiovascular events. Combination of GRACE score, plasma biomarkers and plaque strains significantly improved the predictive value of the GRACE score alone with the receiver-operating characteristic area increased from0.457 to 0.667(P=0.014). | 10 | Magnetocardiograph as a noninvasive and radiation-free diagnostic device for myocardial infarction:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of magnetocardiograph,a relatively new noninvasive device,in patients with myocardial infarction(MI).Methods:To identify studies assessing the diagnostic accuracy of magnetocardiography for MI,we searched four databases on November 7,2022,the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,MEDLINE,EMBASE,and Web of Science,plus ClinicalTrials.gov.Three reviewers screened the studies independently and emailed the authors for more precise data when necessary.The Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies 2 tool was used to evaluate the quality of the included studies.STATA(version 17;Stata Corporation,College Station,TX,USA)was used for meta-analysis of 22 contingency table data.Results:A total of 6 articles were included in this study.The diagnostic parameters of all included studies were summarized as follows:the pooled sensitivity was 0.91(95%confidence intervals[95%CIs]:0.81–0.96;I 2=88.54);specificity was 0.83(95%CI:0.75–0.89;I 2=83);positive likelihood ratio was 5.3(95%CI:3.5–8.2);negative likelihood ratio was 0.1(95%CI:0.04–0.24);and diagnostic odds ratio was 51(95%CI:16–161).The area under the curve for the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.92(95%CI:0.89–0.94).After metaregression analysis,we found that the number of channels and the way of environmental magnetic noise elimination were heterogeneous sources.Conclusion:In summary,our meta-analysis shows that magnetocardiography holds a high accuracy in diagnosing MI and takes the advantages of noninvasive,radiation-free,and noncontact.However,further high-quality studies to confirm its usefulness in diagnosing MI are warranted. | Yansong Xu Xiaole Han Mingyue Guo Ruochuan Li Yiming Dong Jiaxin Fan Xiaofei Yin Fei Xie Jiaojiao Pang Yuguo Chen | 2023 | Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2023,3,2: | 0 |
| 11 | Nitrogen source and fate of typical orchard with gentle slope in semi-arid areas显示文摘Excessive nitrogen (N) exports caused by human activities are one of the main reasons for the numerous environmental problems in agricultural production. Orchards, as an essential part of agricultural production, play a crucial role in rural economic development and ecological environment construction. Understanding the migration pathways of N in orchards is significant for the scientific management of orchards and the reduction of environmental pollution. In this research, the source and fate of N in a typical orchard in Beijing were quantitatively analyzed. N management strategies were proposed in combination with agricultural production habits. The total N input into the orchard was 487.19 kg/hm^(2)·a, of which 85.44%, 10.99%, 3.30% and 0.27% of N input were from fertilizer application, atmospheric deposition, biological N fixation and pesticide, respectively. A large amount of N fertilizer application was the primary source of N input in the orchard. For the N fate, the N surplus in the soil could reach up to 68.40% of total N inputs, and only 20.16% were absorbed and utilized by plants. The amount of N losses through ammonia volatilization, runoff and sediment, nitrification and denitrification accounted for 10.68%, 0.39% and 0.37%, respectively. N input in the orchard mainly remained in soil, while N loss was mainly through ammonia volatilization. There were 176.72, 99.00, and 57.52 kg/hm^(2)·a N surplus in 0-40 cm, 40-80 cm, and over 80 cm soil layers, respectively. | 12 | SUPER Score Contributes to Warning and Management in Early-Stage COVID-19显示文摘Background:Some COVID-19 patients deteriorate to severe cases with relatively higher case-fatality rates,which increases the medical burden.This necessitates identification of patients at risk of severe disease.Early assessment plays a crucial role in identifying patients at risk of severe disease.This study is to assess the effectiveness of SUPER score as a predictor of severe COVID-19 cases.Methods:We consecutively enrolled COVID-19 patients admitted to a comprehensive medical center in Wuhan,China,and recorded clinical characteristics and laboratory indexes.The SUPER score was calculated using pa-rameters including oxygen saturation,urine volume,pulse,emotional state,and respiratory rate.In addition,the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),specificity,and sensitivity of the SUPER score for the diagnosis of severe COVID-19 were calculated and compared with the National Early Warning Score 2(NEWS2).Results:The SUPER score at admission,with a threshold of 4,exhibited good predictive performance for early identification of severe COVID-19 cases,yielding an AUC of 0.985(95%confidence interval[CI]0.897-1.000),sensitivity of 1.00(95%CI 0.715-1.000),and specificity of 0.92(95%CI 0.775-0.982),similar to NEWS2(AUC 0.984;95%CI 0.895-1.000,sensitivity 0.91;95%CI 0.587-0.998,specificity 0.97;95%CI 0.858-0.999).Com-pared with patients with a SUPER score<4,patients in the high-risk group exhibited lower lymphocyte counts,interleukin-2,interleukin-4 and higher fibrinogen,C-reactive protein,aspartate aminotransferase,and lactate dehydrogenase levels.Conclusions:In conclusion,the SUPER score demonstrated equivalent accuracy to the NEWS2 score in predicting severe COVID-19.Its application in prognostic assessment therefore offers an effective early warning system for critical management and facilitating efficient allocation of health resources. | Yuan Bian Qi Han Yue Zheng Yu Yao Xinhui Fan Ruijuan Lv Jiaojiao Pang Feng Xu Yuguo Chen | 2023 | Infectious Medicine2023,2,4: | 0 |
| 13 | Fabricating 3-dimensional human brown adipose microtissues for transplantation studies显示文摘Transplanting cell cultured brown adipocytes(BAs)represents a promising approach to prevent and treat obesity(OB)and its associated metabolic disorders,including type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).However,transplanted BAs have a very low survival rate in vivo.The enzymatic dissociation during the harvest of fully differentiated BAs also loses significant cells.There is a critical need for novel methods that can avoid cell death during cell preparation,transplantation,and in vivo.Here,we reported that preparing BAs as injectable microtissues could overcome the problem.We found that 3D culture promoted BA differentiation and UCP-1 expression,and the optimal initial cell aggregate size was 100μm.The microtissues could be produced at large scales via 3D suspension assisted with a PEG hydrogel and could be cryopreserved.Fabricated microtissues could survive in vivo for long term.They alleviated body weight and fat gain and improved glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity in high-fat diet(HFD)-induced OB and T2DM mice.Transplanted microtissues impacted multiple organs,secreted protein factors,and influenced the secretion of endogenous adipokines.To our best knowledge,this is the first report on fabricating human BA microtissues and showing their safety and efficacy in T2DM mice.The proposal of transplanting fabricated BA microtissues,the microtissue fabrication method,and the demonstration of efficacy in T2DM mice are all new.Our results show that engineered 3D human BA microtissues have considerable advantages in product scalability,storage,purity,safety,dosage,survival,and efficacy. | Ou Wang Li Han Haishuang Lin Mingmei Tian Shuyang Zhang Bin Duan Soonkyu Chung Chi Zhang Xiaojun Lian Yong Wang Yuguo Lei | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,4: | 0 |
| 14 | Establishment of soil moisture model based on hyperspectral data and growth parameters of winter wheat显示文摘Large area of soil moisture status diagnosis based on plant canopy spectral data remains one of the hot spots of agricultural irrigation.However,the existing soil water prediction model constructed by the spectral parameters without considering the plant growth process will inevitably increase the prediction errors.This study carried out research on the correlations among spectral parameters of the canopy of winter wheat,crop growth process,and soil water content,and finally constructed the soil water content prediction model with the growth days parameter.The results showed that the plant water content of winter wheat tended to decrease during the whole growth period.The plant water content had the best correlations with the soil water content of the 0-50 cm soil layer.At different growth stages,even if the soil water content was the same,the plant water content and characteristic spectral reflectance were also different.Therefore,the crop growing days parameter was added to the model established by the relationships between characteristic spectral parameters and soil water content to increase the prediction accuracy.It is found that the determination coefficient(R^(2))of the models built during the whole growth period was greatly increased,ranging from 0.54 to 0.60.Then,the model built by OSAVI(Optimized Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index)and Rg/Rr,two of the highest precision characteristic spectral parameters,were selected for model validation.The correlation between OSAVI and soil water content,Rg/Rr,and soil water content were still significant(p<0.05).The R^(2),MAE,and RMSE validation models were 0.53 and 0.58,3.19 and 2.97,4.76 and 4.41,respectively,which was accurate enough to be applied in a large-area field.Furthermore,the upper and lower irrigation limit of OSAVI and Rg/Rr were put forward.The research results could guide the agricultural production of winter wheat in northern China. | Xizhi Lyu Weimin Xing Yuguo Han Zhigong Peng Baozhong Zhang Muhammad Roman | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,3: | 0 |
| 15 | The optimal anticoagulation strategy for COVID-19,prophylactic or therapeutic?:a meta-analysis,trial sequential analysis,and meta-regression of more than 27,000 participants显示文摘Background:Anticoagulants are promising regimens for treating coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,whether prophylactic or intermediate-to-therapeutic dosage is optimal remains under active discussion.Methods:We comprehensively searched PubMed,Embase,Scopus,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,ClinicalTrials,and MedRxiv databases on April 26,2022.Two independent researchers conducted literature selection and data extraction separately according to predetermined criteria.Notably,this is the first meta-analysis on COVID-19,taking serious consideration regarding the dosage overlap between the 2 comparison groups of prophylactic anticoagulation(PA)and intermediate-to-therapeutic anticoagulation(I-TA).Results:We included 11 randomized controlled trials(RCTs)and 36 cohort studies with 27,051 COVID-19 patients.By analyzing all the RCTs,there was no significant difference in mortality between the PA and I-TA groups,which was further confirmed by trial sequential analysis(TSA)(odds ratio[OR]:0.93;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.71–1.22;P=0.61;TSA adjusted CI:0.71–1.26).The rate of major bleeding was remarkably higher in the I-TA group than in the PA group,despite adjusting for TSA(OR:1.73;95%CI:1.15–2.60;P=0.009;TSA adjusted CI:1.09–2.58).RCTs have supported the beneficial effect of I-TA in reducing thrombotic events.After including all studies,mortality in the I-TA group was significantly higher than in the PA group(OR:1.38;95%CI:1.15–1.66;P=0.0005).The rate of major bleeding was similar to the analysis from RCTs(OR:2.24;95%CI:1.86–2.69;P<0.00001).There was no distinct difference in the rate of thrombotic events between the 2 regimen groups.In addition,in both critical and noncritical subgroups,I-TA failed to reduce mortality but increased major bleeding rate compared with PA,as shown in meta-analysis of all studies,as well as RCTs only.Meta-regression of all studies suggested that there was no relationship between the treatment effect and the overall risk of mortality or major bleeding(P=0.14,P=0.09,respectively).Conclusion:I-TA is not superior to PA for treating COVID-19 because it fails to lower the mortality rate but increases the major bleeding rate in both critical and noncritical patients. | Mingyue Guo Qi Han Jiaxuan Xing Feng Xu Jiali Wang Chuanbao Li Zechen Shan Yuan Bian Hao Wang Li Xue Qiuhuan Yuan Chang Pan Yanshan De Xingfang Wang Panpan Hao Shengchuan Cao Jiaojiao Pang Yuguo Chen | 2022 | Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2022,2,3: | 0 |
