3Sodium tungsten bronze(Na_(x)WO_(3))-doped near-infrared-shielding bulk glasses for energy-saving applications显示文摘Tungsten bronze coatings and films have attracted global attention for their applications in near-infrared(NIR)-shielding windows.However,they are unstable in strong ultraviolet,humid heat,alkaline and/or oxidizing environments and are difficult to be coated on glass surfaces with complex shape.Here,we address these limitations by doping sodium tungsten bronze(Na_(x)WO_(3))into bulk glasses using a simple glass melting method.X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,TEM and SEM-EDS characterization confirmed the presence of sodium tungsten bronze(Na_(x)WO_(3))functional units inside the 34SiO_(2)-38B_(2)O_(3)-28NaF glass matrix.Because the functional units are well protected by the glass matrix,the fabricated glasses are stable under hot,humid,oxidizing conditions,as well as under ambient conditions,with no change after 360 days.The NIR-shielding performance of these glasses can be adjusted to as high as 100%by varying WO_(x)concentration(2-8 mol%)and quenching temperature(1000-1400℃).With a content of 6 mol%WO_(x)and a quenching temperature of 1000℃,the bulk glass shows 63%transmission of visible light and only 11%transmission of NIR light at 1100 nm.Thermal insulation experiments show that the NIR-shielding performance of the glasses are far superior to commercial soda lime window glass or indium-doped tin oxide(ITO)glass,and comparable to cesium tungsten bronze coated glass.The novel bulk glasses have higher stability,simpler processing,and can be easily made into complex shapes,making them excellent alternative materials for energy-saving glasses.Guang Yang Yunhang Qi Daming Hu Haochen Wang Hongfei Chen Liangmiao Zhang Chuanxiang Cao Bin Liu Fang Xia Yanfeng Gao 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,30:3

5Phosphorylation of Rictor at Thr1135 impairs the Rictor/Cullin-1 complex to ubiquitinate SGK1显示文摘The Rictor/mTOR complex plays a pivotal role in a variety of cellular functions including cellular metabolism,cell proliferation and survival by phosphorylating Akt at Ser473 to fully activate the Akt kinase.However,its upstream regulatory pathways as well as whether it has additional function(s)remain largely unknown.We recently reported that Rictor contains a novel ubiquitin E3 ligase activity by forming a novel complex with Cullin-1,but not with other Cullin family members.Furthermore,we identified SGK1 as its downstream target.Interestingly,Rictor,but not Raptor or mTOR,promotes SGK1 ubiquitination.As a result,SGK1 expression is elevated in Rictor^(–/–)MEFs.We further defined that as a feedback mechanism,Rictor can be phosphorylated by multiple AGC family kinases including Akt,S6K and SGK1.Phosphorylation of Rictor at the Thr1135 site did not affect its kinase activity towards phosphorylating its conventional substrates including Akt and SGK1.On the other hand,it disrupted the interaction between Rictor and Cullin-1.Consequently,T1135E Rictor was defective in promoting SGK1 ubiquitination and destruction.This finding further expands our knowledge of Rictor’s function.Furthermore,our work also illustrates that Rictor E3 ligase activity could be governed by specific signaling kinase cascades,and that misregulation of this process might contribute to SGK overexpression which is frequently observed in various types of cancers.Daming Gao Lixin Wan Wenyi Wei 2010Protein & Cell2010,1,10:2

11Proteomics of adjacent-to-tumor samples uncovers clinically relevant biological events in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Normal adjacent tissues(NATs)of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)differ from healthy liver tissues and their heterogeneity may contain biological information associated with disease occurrence and clinical outcome that has yet to be fully evaluated at the proteomic level.This study provides a detailed description of the heterogeneity of NATs and the differences between NATs and healthy livers and revealed that molecular features of tumor subgroups in HCC were partially reflected in their respective NATs.Proteomic data classified HCC NATs into two subtypes(Subtypes 1 and 2),and Subtype 2 was associated with poor prognosis and high-risk recurrence.The pathway and immune features of these two subtypes were characterized.Proteomic differences between the two NAT subtypes and healthy liver tissues were further investigated using data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry,revealing the early molecular alterations associated with the progression from healthy livers to NATs.This study provides a high-quality resource for HCC researchers and clinicians and may significantly expand the knowledge of tumor NATs to eventually benefit clinical practice.Hongwen Zhu Youpei Lin Dayun Lu Shisheng Wang Yuejia Liu Liangqing Dong Qian Meng Jing Gao Yuqiu Wang Nixue Song Yuying Suo Li Ding Pei Wang Bing Zhang Daming Gao Jia Fan Qiang Gao Hu Zhou 2023National Science Review2023,10,8:0
