12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2CapOX as neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced operable colon cancer patients: a prospective single-arm phase Ⅱ trial显示文摘Objective: The aim of this prospective, single-arm phase II trial was to confirm the safety and efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) using oxaliplatin plus capecitabine(Cap OX) for patients with operable locally advanced colon cancer(CC).Methods: Patients with computed tomography-defined T4 or lymph node-positive CCs were enrolled. After radiological staging, patients were treated with at least 2 cycles of NAC consisting of 130 mg/m2 oxaliplatin on d 1,plus 1,000 mg/m2 capecitabine twice daily for 14 d every 3 weeks, followed by surgery, and then with the rest cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy. Radiological response was evaluated after 2 cycles of NAC. Tumor response, treatment toxicity, and surgical complications were recorded. The pathological response to therapy was evaluated according to the tumor regression grade(TRG) score. The primary endpoint was pathologic tumor response. This trial is registered in Clinical Trials.gov(No: NCT02415829).Results: Forty-seven patients were enrolled in the study. Forty-two patients completed the planned treatments.The total radiological response rate was 68%(32/47), including complete and partial response rates of 2%(1/47)and 66%(31/47), respectively. Stable disease was observed in 32%(15/47) and progressive disease was observed in none. Complete pathologic response, major regression, and at least moderate regression were achieved in 1(2%), 2(4%), and 29(62%) patients, respectively. Four patients developed grade 3 treatment toxicities. One patient with wound infection occurred after operation(1/47, 2%). 3Cyst Formation, Development of Alexandrium tamarense from Yangtse River Estuary and Its Relation to Bloom Dynamics显示文摘The toxic dinoflagellate—Alexandrium tamarense (Lebour) Balech, formed resting cysts in f/2 media with low nitrate concentrations. Among the concentrations tested, f/20 NO3^- was the most effective to induction with an encystment percentage of 2.0 in batch culture. About 73.2% and 17.6% of cysts were produced on 8 and 9 d after transferring. Newly formed cysts developed accumulation body 3d later and kept forming mucilaginous substance, which might help their dispersal and survival. The mandatory dormancy period of resting cysts was 15 and 10d when stored at 15 and 20℃ respectively. The cysts could germinate without temperature change, with germination of 75.6% 20d after formation at 20℃. The Alexandrium cyst density in the surface sediment of DG-26 station reached above 25 cysts/g in May and November of 2002, and dropped to 4.5 and 0.9 cysts/g in August of 2002 and February of 2003, suggesting that Alexandrium cysts might have germinated in spring and autumn 2002. Cysts produced during the bloom returned to water column soon, whatever the season and water temperature were. The cyst density in the surface sediment at DG-26 station in May, 2003 was only 3.3 cysts/g and the cysts were newly formed. 5The compactness of spatial structure in Chinese cities:measurement,clustering patterns and influencing factors显示文摘Rapid urbanization in China has led to an excessive urban expansion of built-up areas,which makes quantitative research on compact city important.We adopted density and the degree of mixed land use to measure the compactness of 160 Chinese cities.Spatial autocorrelation analysis was performed to identify spatial clustering patterns,and the relationships between compactness and five variables were explored through regression models.The result shows that in nearly half of the cases,the calculated values of two indices are less than the average.The high or low values of density and the degree of mixed land use tend to be spatially clustered.The hot spot regions of density and the degree of mixed land use lie mainly in the south of China,while the north present as cold spots or the insignificant regions.Urban compactness can be affected by multifaceted factors and the relationships between compactness and five variables are not consistent throughout the areas of analysis.The GWR model can identify this phenomenon and provides a better fit than the OLS model.This study proposed a new approach to measure the compactness,and the results of GWR analysis can conducive to appropriate policy-making based on different local conditions.Fangqi Zhao Lina Tang Quanyi Qiu Gang Wu 2020Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2020,6,1:3

8Bifurcation and chaos of an airfoil with cubic nonlinearity in incompressible flow显示文摘Using a combination of analytical and numerical methods, the paper studies bifurcations and chaotic motions of a two-dimensional airfoil with cubic nonlinearity in incompressible flow. One type of critical points (characterized by a negative eigenvalue, a simple zero eigenvalue and a pair of purely imaginary eigenvalues) for the bifurcation response equations is considered. With the aid of the normal form theory, the explicit expressions of the critical bifurcation lines leading to incipient and secondary bifurcations are obtained. The stability of the bifurcation solutions is also investigated. By using the undetermined coefficient method, the homoclinic orbit is found, and the uniform convergence of the homoclinic orbit series expansion is proved. It analytically demonstrates that there exists a homoclinic orbit joining the initial equilibrium point to itself, therefore Smale horseshoe chaos occurs for this system via Si'lnikov criterion. The system evolves into chaotic motion through period-doubling bifurcation, and is periodic again as the dimensionless airflow speed increases. 10Potential Application of Entangled Porous Titanium Alloy Metal Rubber in Artificial Lumbar Disc Prostheses显示文摘Entangled Porous Titanium Alloy Metal Rubber(EPTA-MR)was used as a nucleus pulposus material in the design of non-fusion intervertebral disc prosthesis for the first time.A novel artificial lumbar intervertebral disc prosthesis was designed by reconstructing the lumbar model with reverse engineering technology,and the biomechanical behavior of the prosthesis was simulated under varied working conditions.The nucleus pulposus size was determined by the actual size of human prosthesis.EPTA-MR samples with different densities were prepared by medical titanium alloy wire experimental studies were conducted on static stiffness,damping energy consumption,and fatigue life.The results indicated that the static stiffness of EPTA-MR could reach approximately 1500 N mm and its loss factor remained higher than 0.2,and the variation range was relatively small,with excellent vibration damping capacity and bearing capacity.Among them,the overall performance of EPTA-MR with a density of 2.5 g em 3 was closer to that of the physiologic intervertebral disc.A macro experiment of five million fatigue vibration tests combined with microstructure observation exhibited a wear rate of only 0.9396 g-MC with no noticeable change in the internal micro-morphology.Therefore,the EPTA-MR has a broad application prospect as the nucleus pulposus material of artificial intervertebral disc prosthesis.Zhiying Ren Jingfei Huang Hongbai Bai Rui Jin Fangqi Xu Jie Xu 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,3:1
