The basic working principles, performance indexes, features and data collection and processing methods are illus-trated. The point cloud results are analyzed in detail. The rescale range analysis method was used to analyze the deformation char-acteristics of the slope. The results show that the trend of slope displacement is stable and that the degree of landslide danger is low. This work indicates that 3-D laser image scanning can supply multi-parameter, high precision real time data over long distances. | 4 | Taxonomic and functional variations in the microbial community during the upgrade process of a full-scale landfill leachate treatment plant-from conventional to partial nitrification-denitrification显示文摘Because of the low access to biodegradable organic substances used for denitrification,the partial nitrification-denitrification process has been considered as a low-cost,sustainable alternative for landfill leachate treatment.In this study,the process upgrade from conventional to partial nitrificationdenitrification was comprehensively investigated in a full-scale landfill leachate treatment plant(LLTP).The partial nitrification-denitrification system was successfully achieved through the optimizing dissolved oxygen and the external carbon source,with effluent nitrogen concentrations lower than 150 mg/L.Moreover,the upgrading process facilitated the enrichment of Nitrosomonas(abundance increased from 0.4%to 3.3%),which was also evidenced by increased abundance of amoA/B/C genes carried by Nitrosomonas.Although Nitrospira(accounting for 0.1%-0.6%)was found to stably exist in the reactor tank,considerable nitrite accumulation occurred in the reactor(reaching 98.8 mg/L),indicating high-efficiency of the partial nitrification process.Moreover,the abundance of Thauera,the dominant denitrifying bacteria responsible for nitrite reduction,gradually increased from 0.60%to 5.52%during the upgrade process.This process caused great changes in the microbial community,inducing continuous succession of heterotrophic bacteria accompanied by enhanced metabolic potentials toward organic substances.The results obtained in this study advanced our understanding of the operation of a partial nitrification-denitrification system and provided a technical case for the upgrade of currently existing full-scale LLTPs. | Binbin Sheng Depeng Wang Xianrong Liu Guangxing Yang Wu Zeng Yiqing Yang Fangang Meng | 2020 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,6: | 3 |

| 6 | Hardware/software co-verification platform for EOS design显示文摘Ethernet over SDH/SONET (EOS) is a hotspot in today's data transmission technology for it combines the merits of both Ethernet and SDH/SONET. However, implementing an EOS system on a chip is complex and needs full verifications. This paper introduces our design of Hardware/Software co-verification platform for EOS design. The hardware platform contains a microprocessor board and an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array)-based verification board, and the corresponding software includes test benches running in FPGAs, controlling programs for the microprocessor and a console program with GUI (Graphical User Interface) interface for configuration, management and supervision. The design is cost-effective and has been successfully employed to verify several IP (Intellectual Property) blocks of our EOS chip. | 10 | Co/N-doped carbon nanotube arrays grown on 2D MOFs-derived matrix for boosting the oxygen reduction reaction in alkaline and acidic media显示文摘The development of high-performance and cost-effective electrocatalysts towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) is of significant importance,but still challenging for the practical applications in related energy systems.ORR process typically suffers from sluggish kinetics,the exploration of ORR electrocatalyst thus requires elaborate design.Herein,an effective strategy is developed for growing Co/N-doped carbon nanotube arrays on 2D MOFs-derived matrix via the pyrolysis of Co/Zn metalorganic-framework(MOF) nanosheets.The Co/Zn-MOF nanosheets serve as both the self-template for the 2D carbonized framework morphology and C/N source for the in-situ growth of 1D N-doped carbon nanotubes.The constructed hie rarchical architecture effectively integrates the OD/1D Co nanoparticle/Ndoped carbon nanotube interface and 1D(nanotubes)/2D(nanosheets) junction into frameworks with highly exposed active surface,enhanced mass-transport kinetics and electrical conductivity.As a result,the designed composite exhibits superior ORR activity and durability in alkaline media as compared to commercial Pt/C.Particularly,it shows promising ORR performance with a half-wave potential of 0.78 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode and negligible activity attenuation after 5000 potential cycles in acidic electrolyte.The designed strategy can be extended to construct other MOFs-derived carbon matrixes with diverse hierarchical structures and provide an efficient avenue for searching highperformance electrocatalysts. | Shuao Wan Jiadong Wu Depeng Wang Huiling Liu Zhicheng Zhang Jianmin Ma Cheng Wang | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2: | 1 |

| 16 | Physical principle of wind erosion on sandy land surface in southern Beijing显示文摘The endangerment of aeolian sand is one of the most serious eco-environmental problems facing the southern suburb of Beijing. To control wind erosion is thus a matter of great urgency. This paper chooses typical land-use types, i.e., cultivated land, wild grassland, drifting sandy land, etc. based on the fixed experimental observation and quantitative analysis, to conduct studies on the principles and characteristics of aeolian activities and measures controlling wind erosion in Daxing District of Beijing. The results show that: the near ground wind velocity yielded the logarithmic distribution with height; there are significant differences among different ground cover roughness; there are significant differences in the corresponding friction velocities caused by different properties of the underlying surface; there are differences in the threshold wind velocities speed in different land use types; and there are minus exponential relations between the sediment discharge percentage and the height at a range of 0–20 cm air flow layer. Different land use types result in various degrees of coarse component. | 17 | A biosensing system employing nanowell microelectrode arrays to record the intracellular potential of a single cardiomyocyte显示文摘Electrophysiological recording is a widely used method to investigate cardiovascular pathology,pharmacology and developmental biology.Microelectrode arrays record the electrical potential of cells in a minimally invasive and highthroughput way.However,commonly used microelectrode arays primarily employ planar microelectrodes and cannot work in applications that require a recording of the intracellular action potential of a single cell.In this study,we proposed a novel measuring method that is able to record the intracellular action potential of a single cardiomyocyte by using a nanowell patterned microelectrode array(NWMEA).The NWMEA consists of five nanoscale wells at the center of each circular planar microelectrode.Biphasic pulse electroporation was applied to the NWMEA to penetrate the cardiomyocyte membrane,and the intracellular action potential was continuously recorded.The intracellular potential recording of cardiomyocytes by the NWMEA measured a potential signal with a higher quality(213.76±25.85%),reduced noise root-mean-square(~33%),and higher signal-to-noise ratio(254.36±12.61%)when compared to those of the extracellular recording.Compared to previously reported nanopillar microelectrodes,the NWMEA could ensure single cell electroporation and acquire high-quality action potential of cardiomyocytes with reduced fabrication processes.This NWMEA-based biosensing system is a promising tool to record the intracellular action potential of a single cell to broaden the usage of microelectrode arrays in electrophysiological investigation. | Yuting Xiang Haitao Liu Wenjian Yang Zhongyuan xu Yue Wu Zhajian Tang Zhjing Zhu Zhiyong Zeng Depeng Wang Tianxing Wang Ning Hu Diming Zhang | 2022 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,3: | 0 |

| 19 | Nanomechanical assay for ultrasensitive and rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2 based on peptide nucleic acid显示文摘The massive global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic makes the development of more effective and easily popularized assays critical.Here,we developed an ultrasensitive nanomechanical method based on microcantilever array and peptide nucleic acid(PNA)for the detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)RNA.The method has an extremely low detection limit of 0.1 fM(105 copies/mL)for N-gene specific sequence(20 bp).Interestingly,it was further found that the detection limit of N gene(pharyngeal swab sample)was even lower,reaching 50 copies/mL.The large size of the N gene dramatically enhances the sensitivity of the nanomechanical sensor by up to three orders of magnitude.The detection limit of this amplification-free assay method is an order of magnitude lower than RT-PCR(500 copies/mL)that requires amplification.The non-specific signal in the assay is eliminated by the in-situ comparison of the array,reducing the false-positive misdiagnosis rate.The method is amplification-free and label-free,allowing for accurate diagnosis within 1 h.The strong specificity and ultrasensitivity allow single base mutations in viruses to be distinguished even at very low concentrations.Also,the method remains sensitive to fM magnitude lung cancer marker(miRNA-155).Therefore,this ultrasensitive,amplification-free and inexpensive assay is expected to be used for the early diagnosis of COVID-19 patients and to be extended as a broad detection tool. | Yu Wang Tianhao Yan Kainan Mei Depeng Rao Wenjie Wu Ye Chen Yongpei Peng Jianye Wang Shangquan Wu Qingchuan Zhang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 0 |
