4A step-by-step multiple stimuli-responsive metal-phenolic network prodrug nanoparticles for chemotherapy显示文摘Currently,chemotherapy is the main clinical therapy of tumors.Depressingly,most chemotherapeutic drugs such as doxorubicin and paclitaxel(PTX)have poor water solubility,leading to low bioavailability and serious side effects.Till now,although a variety of nanoparticulate drug delivery systems have been designed to ameliorate the above disadvantage of chemotherapy drugs,their application is still severely limited due to the complex preparation,poor stability,low drug loading,and premature drug release.Herein,a metal phenolic network-based drug delivery system with superior stability,satisfactory drug loading capacity,good biocompatibility,reduced undesired premature release,and excellent anti-tumor ability has been established for achieving step-by-step multiple stimuli-responsive drug delivery.Firstly,the redox-responsive dimeric paclitaxel(diPTX)prodrug was synthesized.Then diPTX@Fe&tannic acid(diPTX@Fe&TA)complex nanoparticles with satisfactory PTX loading capacity were obtained by deposition of Fe&TA network complex on the nanocore of diPTX rapidly with a simple method.The diPTX@Fe&TA nanoparticles have a hydrodynamic diameter of 152.6±1.2 nm,long-term colloidal stability,and high PTX loading content of 24.7%.Besides,diPTX@Fe&TA could expose to the acidic lysosomal environment and the reduction cytoplasmic environment continuously,resulting in the sequential release of diPTX and PTX when it was phagocytosed by tumor cells.Meanwhile,PTX showed almost no release under physiological condition(pH 7.4),which effectively inhibited the undesirable premature release of PTX.More importantly,diPTX@Fe&TA could suppress the growth of tumor effectively in vivo,along with negligible toxicity for organs.This work developed a simple and novel approach for the construction of a stepwise multiple stimuli-responsive drug delivery system with superior stability and satisfactory drug loading capacity to inhibit tumor growth effectively.Xiaoqing Yi Weijia Zeng Cui Wang Ying Chen Liangyuan Zheng Xinlin Zhu Yuqiu Ke Xiaoyan He Ying Kuang Qitong Huang 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1

6Pterostilbene antagonizes homocysteine-induced oxidative stress,apoptosis and lipid deposition in vascular endothelial cells显示文摘Hyperhomocysteinemia(HHcy)causes oxidative stress, induces apoptosis, and leads to damage to the vascular endothelium is the starting point of atherosclerosis. Pterostilbene(Pte)has been reported to have antioxidant and anti-apoptotic effects under various pathological conditions. The purpose of this study was to explore whether Pte can inhibit the oxidative stress and apoptosis of vascular endothelium induced by homocysteine(Hcy)and to explain the possible mechanism by which it occurs. The results showed that 20 μmol/L Pte significantly reduced the accumulation of reactive oxygen species, malondialdehyde, and lipids in cells induced by Hcy and promoted the activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase. The Hoechst 33342/PI staining assay showed that Pte antagonized Hcy-induced apoptosis. Pte inhibited Hcy-induced Akt dephosphorylation, increased p53, and decreased the Bcl-2/Bax ratio and caspase-9/caspase-3 activation in a dose-dependent manner. LY294002 pretreatment partially reversed the protective effect of Pte by blocking the PI3K/Akt pathway. Moreover, Pte reduced lipid deposition in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs). This study proposes that Pte can inhibit Hcy-induced oxidative stress and apoptosis of HUVECs, and the PI3K/Akt/p53 signaling pathway of apoptosis was revealed. 7Physical principle of wind erosion on sandy land surface in southern Beijing显示文摘The endangerment of aeolian sand is one of the most serious eco-environmental problems facing the southern suburb of Beijing. To control wind erosion is thus a matter of great urgency. This paper chooses typical land-use types, i.e., cultivated land, wild grassland, drifting sandy land, etc. based on the fixed experimental observation and quantitative analysis, to conduct studies on the principles and characteristics of aeolian activities and measures controlling wind erosion in Daxing District of Beijing. The results show that: the near ground wind velocity yielded the logarithmic distribution with height; there are significant differences among different ground cover roughness; there are significant differences in the corresponding friction velocities caused by different properties of the underlying surface; there are differences in the threshold wind velocities speed in different land use types; and there are minus exponential relations between the sediment discharge percentage and the height at a range of 0–20 cm air flow layer. Different land use types result in various degrees of coarse component. 8Crystal-plane-dependent redox reaction on Cu surfaces显示文摘The dynamic redox process of surface oxide layers on metal surfaces is of great significance for understanding the active phase in catalytic reactions.We studied the formation of surface oxide layers on Cu(111)and Cu(110)in O2,as well as the subsequent reduction by CO using in situ scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).By monitoring and comparing the oxidation process of Cu(111)and Cu(110)surfaces,we found a crystal-plane-dependent reaction mechanism,which also applies to the reduction of surface oxide layers on Cu surfaces.We found XPS Cu spectra cannot be used to identify the various surface oxide layer on Cu surfaces,suggesting their presence in catalytic reactions might have been overlooked.The combination of STM and XPS studies are thus advantageous in identifying surface oxide structures and pinpointing the active phases in the redox process,which paves the way for engineering the catalyst and reaction environment for optimized catalytic performances.Yangsheng Li Hao Chen Weijia Wang Wugen Huang Yanxiao Ning Qingfei Liu Yi Cui Yong Han Zhi Liu Fan Yang Xinhe Bao 2020Nano Research2020,13,6:0
9Investigation on step overcharge to self-heating behavior and mechanism analysis of lithium ion batteries显示文摘To obtain intrinsic overcharge boundary and investigate overcharge mechanism,here we propose an innovative method,the step overcharge test,to reduce the thermal crossover and distinguish the overcharge thermal behavior,including 5%state of charge(SOC)with small current overcharge and resting until the temperature equilibrium under adiabatic conditions.The intrinsic thermal response and the self-excitation behaviour are analysed through temperature and voltage changes during the step overcharge period.Experimental results show that the deintercalated state of the cathode is highly correlated to self-heating parasitic reactions.Before reaching the upper limit of Negative/Positive(N/P)ratio,the temperature changes little,the heat generation is significantly induced by the reversible heat(endothermic)and ohmic heat,which could balance each other.Following that the lithium metal is gradually deposited on the surface of the anode and reacts with electrolyte upon overcharge,inducing selfheating side reaction.However,this spontaneous thermal reaction could be“self-extinguished”.When the lithium in cathode is completely deintercalated,the boundary point of overcharge is about 4.7 V(~148%SOC,>40℃),and from this point,the self-heating behaviour could be continuously triggered until thermal runaway(TR)without additional overcharge.The whole static and spontaneous process lasts for 115 h and the side reaction heat is beyond 320,000 J.The continuous self-excitation behavior inside the battery is attributed to the interaction between the highly oxidized cathode and the solvent,which leads to the dissolution of metal ions.The dissolved metal ions destroy the SEI(solid electrolyte interphase)film on the surface of the deposited Li of anode,which induces the thermal reaction between lithium metal and the solvent.The interaction between cathode,the deposited Li of anode,and solvent promotes the temperature of the battery to rise slowly.When the temperature of the battery reaches more than 60℃,the reaction between lithium metal and solvent is accelerated.After the temperature rises rapidly to the melting point of the separator,it triggers the thermal runaway of the battery due to the short circuit of the battery.Fengling Yun Shiyang Liu Min Gao Xuanxuan Bi Weijia Zhao Zenghua Chang Minjuan Yuan Jingjing Li Xueling Shen Xiaopeng Qi Ling Tang Yi Cui Yanyan Fang Lihao Guo Shangqian Zhao Xiangjun Zhang Shigang Lu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0
10Direction finding for two-dimensional incoherently distributed sources with Hadamard shift invariance in non-uniform orthogonal arrays显示文摘This paper proposes a novel algorithm for Two-Dimensional(2D) central Directionof-Arrival(DOA) estimation of incoherently distributed sources. In particular, an orthogonal array structure consisting of two Non-uniform Linear Arrays(NLAs) is considered. Based on first-order Taylor series approximation, the Generalized Array Manifold(GAM) model can first be established to separate the central DOAs from the original array manifold. Then, the Hadamard rotational invariance relationships inside the GAMs of two NLAs are identified. With the aid of such relationships, the central elevation and azimuth DOAs can be estimated through a search-free polynomial rooting method. Additionally, a simple parameter pairing of the estimated 2D angular parameters is also accomplished via the Hadamard rotational invariance relationship inside the GAM of the whole array. A secondary but important result is a derivation of closed-form expressions of the Cramer-Rao lower bound. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a remarkably higher precision at less complexity increment compared with the existing low-complexity methods, which benefits from the larger array aperture of the NLAs. 11The research of sea-land breeze (SLB) on the west coast of Bohai Bay based on field observation显示文摘Four automatic meteorological stations were set up in a line from beach to inland perpendicular to the west coast of Bohai Bay. Wind direction and velocity at altitudes of 2 m, 4 m and 12 m were surveyed with 10 minute intervals. On 'Sea-Land Breeze' (SLB) days, the transition from sea breeze to land breeze was very evident in the study area. Direction of sea breeze was basically perpendicular to the coast and mainly from the ENE and E. Duration of sea breeze varied by the stations' distance to the coastline, and the near-coast wind velocity was larger than that of the inland and decreases as it reaches inland. There was increased devel- opment of SLB on sunny days than on overcast days.
