2Synthesis of ordered mesoporous carbonaceous materials and their highly efficient capture of uranium from solutions显示文摘An extremely effortless method was applied for successful synthesis of mesoporous carbonaceous materials(MCMs) using well-ordered mesoporous silica as template. Various characterizations(scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), Raman, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), Brunner-Emmet-Teller(BET) and Zeta potential) confirmed that MCMs had large surface area, uniform pore size distribution, and abundant oxygen-containing functional groups. The batch techniques were employed to study U(VI) adsorption on MCMs under a wide range of experiment conditions. The adsorption kinetics of U(VI) onto MCMs were well-fitted by pseudo-second-order kinetic model, indicating a chemisorption process. The excellent adsorption capacity of MCMs calculated from the Langmuir model was 293.95 mg g^(-1) at pH 4.0. The FT-IR and XPS analyses further evidenced that the binding of U(VI) onto MCMs was ascribed to the plentiful adsorption sites(–OH and –COOH groups) in the internal mesoporous structure, which could efficiently trap guest U(VI) ions. 4High CO_(2) absorption capacity of metal-based ionic liquids: A molecular dynamics study显示文摘The absorption of CO_(2)is of importance in carbon capture,utilization,and storage technology for greenhouse gas control.In the present work,we clarified the mechanism of how metal-based ionic liquids (MBILs),Bmim[XCl_(n)]_(m)(X is the metal atom),enhance the CO_(2)absorption capacity of ILs via performing molecular dynamics simulations.The sparse hydrogen bond interaction network constructed by CO_(2)and MBILs was identified through the radial distribution function and interaction energy of CO_(2)-ion pairs,which increase the absorption capacity of CO_(2)in MBILs.Then,the dynamical properties including residence time and self-diffusion coefficient confirmed that MBILs could also promote the diffusion process of CO_(2)in ILs.That's to say,the MBILs can enhance the CO_(2)absorption capacity and the diffusive ability simultaneously.Based on the analysis of structural,energetic and dynamical properties,the CO_(2)absorption capacity of MBILs increases in the order Cl^-→[ZnCl_(4)]^(2-)→[CuCl_(4)]^(2-)→[CrCl_(4)]^-→[FeCl_(4)]^-,revealing the fact that the short metal–Cl bond length and small anion volume could facilitate the performance of CO_(2)absorbing process.These findings show that the metal–Cl bond length and effective volume of the anion can be the effective factors to regulate the CO_(2)absorption process,which can also shed light on the rational molecular design of MBILs for CO_(2)capture and other key chemical engineering processes,such as IL-based gas sensors,nano-electrical devices and so on.Biwen Li Chenlu Wang Yaqin Zhang Yanlei Wang 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,2:3
5Considerable impacts of litter inputs on soil nematode community composition in a young Acacia crassicapa plantation显示文摘Aboveground litter inputs and root exudates provide basal resources for soil communities,however,their relative contributions to soil food web are still not well understood.Here,we conducted a field manipulative experiment to differentiate the effects of litter inputs and living root on nematode community composition of surface and subsoils in a young Acacia crassicapa plantation in southern China.Our results showed that both litter addition and root presence significantly enhanced soil nematode abundance by 17.3%and 35.3%,respectively.Litter addition altered nematode trophic group composition,decreased fungivore to bacterivore ratio,and enhanced maturity index and structure index,which led to a bacterial-based energy channel and a more complex food web structure.However,root presence had a limited impact on the nematode community composition and ecological indices.Despite nematodes surface assembly,soil depth did not affect nematode trophic group composition or ecological index.Our findings highlight the importance of litter inputs in shaping soil nematode community structure and regulating soil energy channel.CANCAN ZHAO YIN LI CHENLU ZHANG Yuan Miao Mengzhou Liu Wanlin Zhuang Yuanhu Shao Weixin Zhang Shenglei Fu 2021Soil Ecology Letters2021,3,2:2
6HSP70 alleviates sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy by attenuating mitochondrial dysfunction-initiated NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated pyroptosis in cardiomyocytes显示文摘Background:Sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy(SIC)is an identified serious complication of sepsis that is associated with adverse outcomes and high mortality.Heat shock proteins(HSPs)have been implicated in suppressing septic inflammation.The aim of this study was to investigate whether HSP70 can attenuate cellular mitochondrial dysfunction,exuberated inflammation and inflammasome-mediated pyroptosis for SIC intervention.Methods:Mice with cecal ligation plus perforation(CLP)and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-treated H9C2 cardiomyocytes were used as models of SIC.The mouse survival rate,gross profile,cardiac function,pathological changes and mitochondrial function were observed by photography,echocardiography,hematoxylin-eosin staining and transmission electron microscopy.In addition,cell proliferation and the levels of cardiac troponin I(cTnI),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)were determined by Cell Counting Kit-8,crystal violet staining and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Moreover,mitochondrial membrane potential was assessed by immunofluorescence staining,and dynamin-related protein 1 and pyroptosis-related molecules[nucleotide-binding domain,leucine-rich-repeat containing family pyrin domain-containing 3(NLRP3),caspase-1,gasdermin-D(GSDMD),gasdermin-D N-terminal(GSDMD-N)]were measured by western blotting,immunoprecipitation and immunoblotting.Finally,hsp70.1 knockout mice with CLP were used to verify the effects of HSP70 on SIC and the underlying mechanism.Results:Models of SIC were successfully established,as reduced consciousness and activity with liparotrichia in CLP mice were observed,and the survival rate and cardiac ejection fraction(EF)were decreased;conversely,the levels of cTnI,TNF-αand IL-1βand myocardial tissue damage were increased in CLP mice.In addition,LPS stimulation resulted in a reduction in cell viability,mitochondrial destabilization and activation of NLRP3-mediated pyroptosis molecules in vitro.HSP70 treatment improved myocardial tissue damage,survival rate and cardiac dysfunction caused by CLP.Additionally,HSP70 intervention reversed LPS-induced mitochondrial destabiliza-tion,inhibited activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome,caspase-1,GSDMD and GSDMD-N,and decreased pyroptosis.Finally,knockout of hsp70.1 mice with CLP aggravated cardiac dysfunction and upregulated NLRP3 inflammasome activity,and exogenous HSP70 significantly rescued these changes.It was further confirmed that HSP70 plays a protective role in SIC by attenuating mitochondrial dysfunction and inactivating pyroptotic molecules.Conclusions:Our study demonstrated that mitochondrial destabilization and NLRP3 inflammasome activation-mediated pyroptosis are attributed to SIC.Interestingly,HSP70 ameliorates sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction by improving mitochondrial dysfunction and inhibiting the acti-vation of NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated pyroptosis,and such a result may provide approaches for novel therapies for SIC.Chenlu Song Yiqiu Zhang Qing Pei Li Zheng Meiyu Wang Youzhen Shi Shan Wu Wei Ni Xiujun Fu Yinbo Peng Wen Zhang Min Yao 2022Burns & Trauma2022,10,1:2
7Coupled Tamm plasmon polaritons induced narrow bandpass filter with ultra-wide stopband显示文摘Narrow bandpass filters(NBPFs)play important roles in optics,such as quantum communication,spectrometer,and wavelength division multiplexing.However,the stopband and restraint ability of traditional NBPFs is limited.In this article,a coupled Tamm plasmon polaritons(TPPs)induced transmission theory has been proposed to design high-efficiency NBPFs with ultra-wide deep stopbands.An NBPF at 1.55 μm has been experimentally demonstrated with full width at half maximum(FWHM)of 10 nm and stopband ranging from 0.2 to 25 μm which is 62 times wider than that of traditional ones.Furthermore,the restraint depth of the stopband reaches 0.03%,which is only 1/20 of a traditional filter with the same FWHM.Its advantage in restraining ambient light over traditional ones has also been demonstrated with an InGaAs infrared detector.It provides a very powerful way to capture specific narrowband optical signals from ultra-wide strong ambient light,especially useful for daytime quantum communications.Qingquan Liu Xinchao Zhao Chenlu Li Xinglei Zhou Yu Chen Shaowei Wang Wei Lu 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:2
8Daily power demand prediction for buildings at a large scale using a hybrid of physics-based model and generative adversarial network显示文摘Power demand prediction for buildings at a large scale is required for power grid operation.The bottom-up prediction method using physics-based models is popular,but has some limitations such as a heavy workload on model creation and long computing time.Top-down methods based on data driven models are fast,but less accurate.Considering the similarity of power demand patterns of single buildings and the superiority of generative adversarial network(GAN),this paper proposes a new method(E-GAN),which combines a physics-based model(EnergyPlus)and a data-driven model(GAN),to predict the daily power demand for buildings at a large scale.The new E-GAN method selects a small number of typical buildings and utilizes EnergyPlus models to predict their power demands.Utilizing the prediction for those typical buildings,the GAN then is adopted to forecast the power demands of a large number of buildings.To verify the proposed method,the E-GAN is used to predict 24-hour power demands for a set of residential buildings.The results show that(1)4.3%of physics-based models in each building category are required to ensure the prediction accuracy;(2)compared with the physics-based model,the E-GAN can predict power demand accurately with only 5%error(measured by mean absolute percentage error,MAPE)while using only approximately 9%of the computing time;and(3)compared with data-driven models(e.g.,support vector regression,extreme learning machine,and polynomial regression model),E-GAN demonstrates at least 60%reduction in prediction error measured by MAPE.Chenlu Tian Yunyang Ye Yingli Lou Wangda Zuo Guiqing Zhang Chengdong Li 2022Building Simulation2022,15,9:2
9Metro-Wordle:An Interactive Visualization for Urban Text Distributions Based on Wordle显示文摘With the development of cities and the explosion of infonnation,vast amounts of geo-tagged textural data about Points of Interests(POIs)have been generated.Extracting useful information and discovering text spatial distributions from the data are challenging and meaningful.Also,the huge numbers of POIs in modem cities make it important to have efficient approaches to retrieve and choose a destination.This paper provides a visual design combing metro map and wordles to meet the needs.In this visualization,metro lines serve as the divider lines splitting the city into several subareas and the boundaries to constrain wordles within each subarea.The wordles are generated from keywords extracted from the text about POIs(including reviews,descriptions,etc.)and embedded into the subareas based on their geographical locations.By generating intuitive results and providing an interactive visualization to support exploring text distribution patterns,our strategy can guide the users to explore urban spatial characteristics and retrieve a location efficiently.Finally,we implement a visual analysis of the restaurants data in Shanghai,China as a case study to evaluate our strategy.Chenlu Li Xiaoju Dong Xiaoru Yuan 2018Visual Informatics2018,2,1:2
10Coupling magnetic particles with flocculants to enhance demulsification and separation of waste cutting emulsion for engineering applications显示文摘Magnetic particles were coupled with a flocculant to enhance the demulsification and separation of waste cutting emulsions.The optimal magnetic particle size and critical magnetic field conditions were investigated to achieve large-scale engineering application of magnetic demulsification separation for waste cutting emulsion treatment.The micro-scale magnetic particles were found to show comparable effects to nano-scale magnetic particles on enhancing the demulsification and separation of cutting emulsions,which are beneficial for broadening the selectivity of low-cost magnetic particles.The critical magnetic separation region was determined to be an area 40 mm from the magnetic field source.Compared to the flocculant demulsification,the magnetic demulsification separation exhibited a significant advantage in accelerating flocs-water separation by decreasing the separation time of flocs from 180-240 min to less than 15 min,compressing the flocs by reducing the floc volume ratio from 60%-90%to lower than 20%,and showing excellent adaptability to the variable properties of waste cutting emulsions.Coupled with the design of the magnetic disk separator,continuous demulsification separation of the waste cutting emulsion was achieved at 1.0 t/hr for at least 10 hr to obtain clear effluent with 81%chemical oxygen demand removal and 89%turbidity reduction.This study demonstrates the feasibility of applying magnetic demulsification separation to large-scale continuous treatment of waste emulsion.Moreover,it addresses the flocs-water separation problems that occur in practical flocculant demulsification engineering applications.Yongjiao Xiong Baoqiang Wu Xiangfeng Huang Chenlu Li Bin Lu Jia Liu Lijun Lu Shiyang Li Kaiming Peng 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,7:2

14Characteristics and source apportionment of PM_(2.5) under the dual influence of the Spring Festival and the COVID-19 pandemic in Yuncheng city显示文摘Based on the online and membrane sampling data of Yuncheng from January 1st to February 12th,2020,the formation mechanism of haze under the dual influence of Spring Festival and COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease) was analyzed.Atmospheric capacity,chemical composition,secondary transformation,source apportionment,backward trajectory,pollution space and enterprise distribution were studied.Low wind speed,high humidity and small atmospheric capacity inhibited the diffusion of air pollutants.Four severe pollution processes occurred during the period,and the pollution degree was the highest around the Spring Festival.In light,medium and heavy pollution periods,the proportion of SNA (SO_(4)^(2-),NO_(3)-and NH_(4)^(+)) was 59.6%,56.0%and 54.9%,respectively,which was the largest components of PM_(2.5);the[NO_(3)-]/[SO_(4)^(2-)]ratio was 2.1,1.5 and 1.7,respectively,indicating that coal source had a great influence;the changes of NOR (nitrogen oxidation ratio,0.44,0.45,0.61)and SOR (sulphur oxidation ratio,0.40,0.49,0.65) indicated the accumulation of secondary aerosols with increasing pollution.The coal combustion,motor vehicle,secondary inorganic sources and industrial sources contributed 36.8%,26.59%,11.84%and 8.02%to PM_(2.5)masses,respectively.Backward trajectory showed that the influence from the east was greater during the Spring Festival,and the pollutants from the eastern air mass were higher,which would aggravate the pollution.Meteorological and Spring Festival had a great impact on heavy pollution weather.Although some work could not operate due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic,the emission of pollutants did not reduce much.Chen Zhang Yingying Zhang Xingang Liu Yafei Liu Chenlu Li 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3:1
15LHRH/TAT dual peptides-conjugated polymeric vesicles for PTT enhanced chemotherapy to overcome hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Combination therapy such as photothermal therapy(PTT)enhanced chemotherapy is regarded as a promising strategy for cancer treatment.Herein,we developed redox-responsive polymeric vesicles based on the amphiphilic triblock copolymer PCL-ss-PEG-ss-PCL.To avoid the limited therapeutic effect of chemotherapeutic drugs caused by systemic exposures and drug resistance,the redox-sensitive polymeric vesicles were cargoed with two chemotherapeutics:doxorubicin(DOX)and paclitaxel(PTX).Besides,indocyanine green(ICG)was encapsulated,and cell-penetrating peptides and LHRH targeting molecule were modified on the surface of polymeric vesicles.The results indicated that the polymeric vesicles can load different kinds of drugs with high drug loading content,trigger drug release in responsive to the reductive environment,realize high cellular uptake via dual peptides and laser irradiation,and achieve higher cytotoxicity via chemo-photothermal combination therapy.Hence,the redox-responsive LHRH/TAT dual peptides-conjugated PTX/DOX/ICG co-loaded polymeric micelles exhibited great potential in tumor-targeting and chemo-photothermal therapy.Yu Qin Qing Guo Shengjie Wu Chenlu Huang Zhiming Zhang Li Zhang Linhua Zhang Dunwan Zhu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,12:1

20Absolute asymmetric synthesis driven by circularly polarized light显示文摘Circularly polarized light(CPL)is an inherently chiral entity and is regarded as one of the possible deterministic signals that led to the evolution of homochirality in earth.Thus,CPL as an external physical field has been widely used in a technique known as absolute asymmetric synthesis,because a product enriched in one enantiomer is formed from racemic precursor molecules without the intervention of a chiral catalyst.In this review,we retrospect the historical research of CPL-induced absolute asymmetric synthesis,including chiral organic molecules,helical polymers,supramolecular assemblies,noble metal nanostructures.However,based on these results,we concluded that the chiral photon-matter interaction is very faint due to the arrangement of molecular bonds giving rise to chiral features,is over a smaller distance than the helical pitch of CPL,leading extremely small enantiomeric excess for product.Therefore,we highlight the recently emerged technology called superchiral field,in which the superchiral far-field and near-field could enhance the dissymmetry of optical field and near-field,respectively.In sum,we hope this review could bring some enlightenment to researchers and further improve the enantioselectivity of CPL-induced absolute asymmetric synthesis.Chenlu He Yan Li 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8:0
