1Clinical significance of dynamic detection for serum levels of MCP-1,TNF-α and IL-8 in patients with acute pancreatitis显示文摘Objective:To observe dynamic changes of levels of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-8(IL-8) in patients with acute pancreatitis and to investigate its evaluation value on the severity of acute pancreatitis.Methods:A total of 109 patients with acute pancreatitis admitted were divided into mild acute pancreatitis group(MAP group,42 cases),moderately severe acute pancreatitis(MSAP group,35 cases)and severe acute pancreatitis(SAP group,32 cases).ELISA was used to detect the serum levels of MCP-1,TNF-α and IL-8 of patients at day 1,day 4 and day 7 of admission to hospital.Results:The serum levels of MCP-1,TNF-α and IL-8 from MAP group,MSAP group and SAP group at day 1 of admission to hospital all significantly increased.There was a significant difference between MAP group and control group,MSAP group and MAP group,SAP group and MSAP group(P<0.05).The serum concentrations of IL-8 from MASP group and SAP group obviously increased at day 1,and there was significant difference between MASP group and MAP group,SAP group and MSAP group(P<0.05),while the difference between MAP group and control group was not obvious(P>0.05);The serum concentrations of MCP-1,TNF-α and IL-8 from MAP group all reached the highest level at day 4,which were significantly higher than the detection levels at day 1.In MSAP group and SAP group,the serum concentrations of MCP-1,TNF-α and IL-8 were the highest at day 1,which were significantly higher than the detection levels at day 4 and 7.At each detecting timing,the serum concentrations of MCP-1,TNF-α and IL-8 from MSAP group and SAP group were all higher than those of MAP group and MSAP group,respectively.Conclusions:The dynamic changes of serum levels of MCP-1,TNF-α and IL-8 in patients with acute pancreatitis have their rules,and the change rule of MAP group was different with that of MSAP and SAP group,which showed the reference value for the diagnosis and illness severity evaluation of acute pancreatitis.Yuan-Zheng Yang Ying Xiang Mian Chen Li-Na Xian Xiao-Yan Deng 2016Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2016,9,11:33

3Hydraulic fracture initiation theory for a horizontal well in a coal seam显示文摘A series of experiments were performed to determine rock mechanical parameters related to hydraulic fracturing of coal.The effect of confining pressure and pore pressure on the strength of coal was studied.Experimental results show that the coal seam in the study areas has a relatively low elastic modulus,high Poisson's ratio,high fragility and is easily broken and compressed.The coal seam is considered as a transversely isotropic medium,since the physical properties in the direction of bedding plane and orthogonal to the bedding plane vary markedly.Based on the generalized plane strain model,stress distribution for an arbitrarily orientated wellbore in the coal seam was determined.In a horizontal well,hydraulic fracturing was found to initiate in the coal seam mass due to tensile failure,or from cleats due to shear or tensile failure.For those coal seams with abundant natural cleats,hydraulic fracture initiation can be induced by any of these mechanisms.In this study,hydraulic fracture initiation criteria for a horizontal well in a coal seam were established.Hou Bing Chen Mian Wang Zheng Yuan Jianbo Liu Ming 2013Petroleum Science2013,10,2:18
4Time-sensitivity of the Kaiser effect of acoustic emission in limestone and its application to measurements of in-situ stress显示文摘Measuring in-situ stress by using the Kaiser effect in rocks has such advantages as time- effi ciency, low cost and little limitation, but the precision of the method is dependent on rock properties and delay time of the measurement. In this paper, experiments on the Kaiser effect in limestones were performed, and it was found that the limestones had good ability to retain a memory of their recent stress history and high time-sensitivity. The longer the experiment was delayed from the extraction of the stone, the larger the Felicity ratio was. As the Felicity ratio approached 1, signifi cant Kaiser effect was observed. In-situ stress should be determined by the limestone measurements when the delay time was 40-120 days. 5Analysis of main controlling factors for hydrocarbon accumulation in central rift zones of the Hailar-Tamtsag Basin using a fault-caprock dual control mode显示文摘The Hailar-Tamtsag Basin is a typical rift basin where two sets of regional caprocks are developed,i.e.,mudstone caprocks(containing a small amount of tuff)developed in strong rifting stage and fault-depression stage,respectively.The caprocks have a cumulative thickness of 50-120 m in general,and a single-layer thickness of 20-50 m,interbedded with sandstone about 1-2 m thick.The large set of mudstone is distributed continuously,as pure mudstone caprock.Forty-three mudstone and tuff samples were taken to perform displacement pressure test with our independently developed displacement pressure tester.Test result shows that the displacement pressure is 0.04-10.00 MPa,which is equivalent to 0.09-20.01 MPa after being corrected to the actual burial depth.As the burial depth increases,the displacement pressure rises gradually,and is 1-10 times greater than that of oil-bearing sandstone or conglomerate reservoir at the same burial depth.The difference between displacement pressure of mudstone caprock and sandstone or conglomerate reservoir increases greatly if the burial depth exceeds 1000 m.Because of the displacement pressure difference between caprock and reservoir,the maximum height of hydrocarbon column sealed by the caprock ranges from 300 m to 2000 m,much higher than the height of the trap closure at the same burial depth.No hydrocarbons will leak through such caprocks.Analysis of the reservoir GOI,homogeneous temperature,and crude maturity of both deep and shallow reservoirs in Well Wu-20 in the Wuerxun Depression shows that Damoguaihe II Member reservoir is a secondary reservoir developed during adjustment of early reservoir.It is mainly distributed in inverted structures.Faulting is one of the main factors breaking the integrity of caprocks.Three kinds of faults are often related to the migration of hydrocarbons across regional caprocks:the first type refers to the positive inverted faults breaking the early sealing conditions and making the hydrocarbons accumulated in the early period re-migration;the second type refers to the faults with shear mudstone smear structures which lose their continuity and open vertically when the fault throws exceed 5 times of the mudstone thickness;the third type refers to the normal faults developed in the structural inversion stage,which have a typical cataclastic structure and are easy to cause vertical migration of hydrocarbons.Hydrocarbon enriched horizons of the rift basins are co-controlled by 'fault-caprock'.Specifically,95% of the geological reserve is controlled by regional caprocks,and only 5% is controlled by open faults,secondary oil/gas reservoirs are developed over regional caprocks.FU XiaoFei CHEN Zhe YAN BaiQuan YANG Mian SUN YongHe 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,8:15
6Understanding hydraulic fracture propagation behavior in tight sandstone–coal interbedded formations: an experimentalinvestigation显示文摘Whether hydraulic fractures could connect multiple gas zones in the vertical plane is the key to fracturing treatment to jointly exploit coalbed methane and tight sandstone gas through integrative hydraulic fracturing in tight sandstone–coal interbedded formations. Laboratory true triaxial hydraulic fracturing experiments were conducted on layered specimens with di erent combination types of natural sandstone and coal to simulate the propagation behavior of hydraulic fractures. The effects of the fracture initiation position, fracturing fluid viscosity and injection rate were discussed. The results showed that di erent fracture morphologies could be found. When initiating from coal seams, three patterns of fracture initiation and propagation were obtained:(1) The main hydraulic fracture initiated and propagated along the natural fractures and then diverged due to the effects of in situ stress and formed secondary fractures.(2) The hydraulic fracture initiated and propagated in the direction of the maximum horizontal stress.(3) Multiple fractures initiated and propagated at the same time. With the same fracturing fluid viscosity and injection rate, the hydraulic fractures initiating in sandstones had greater chances than those in coal seams to penetrate interfaces and enter neighboring layers. Excessively small or large fracturing fluid viscosity and injection rate would do harm to the vertical extension height of the induced fracture and improvement of the stimulated reservoir volume. Compared with operation parameters(fracturing fluid viscosity and injection rate), the natural weak planes in coals were considered to be the key factor that a ected the fracture propagation path. 8High Thermal Stable Polyimide Resins Derived from Phenylethynyl-endcapped Fluorenyl Oligoimides with Low Melt Viscosities显示文摘To improve the processability and thermal stability of polyimide, a series of novel phenylethynyl-endcapped oligoimides(PEPA-oligoimides) with calculated molecular weights(M_nC) were successfully prepared from thermal imidization of 4,4'-(9-fluorenylidene) dianiline(BAFL) as fluorenyl diamine, 4,4′-oxy-diphthalic anhydride(ODPA) as aromatic dianhydride and 4-phenylethynylphthalic anhydride(4-PEPA) acted as reactive end-capping reagent at elevated temperatures. Experiment results indicated that the oligoimides were the mixtures of PEPA-endcapped oligomers with different degrees of polymerization characterized by MALDI-TOF mass spectra. The influence of chemical structures on the melt processabilities of the oligoimides, the thermal, dielectric and mechanical properties of the thermoset resins was studied. The typical oligoimide resin owned minimum melt viscosity of 0.2 Pa·s at around 310 °C and wide melting processing window, suitable for resin transfer molding(RTM). Besides, its corresponding thermal-cured polyimide resin possessed glass transition temperature(T_g) as high as 514 °C. The dielectric constants of polyimide resins decreased from 3.15 to 2.80 by reducing the M_nC. The mechanical properties of the polyimide neat resins were improved gradually with increasing MnC. 11Emergy-based study on eco-economic system of arid and semi-arid region:a case of Gansu province,China显示文摘Taking Gansu province as a model case,this study provides an integrated analysis on the eco-economic system of arid and semi-arid region based on emergy synthesis theory. Through calculating the values of renewable emergy flow,non-renewable resources,imported emergy,exported emergy,waste emergy,and total emergy during the period of 1978-2007,the performance of Gansu eco-economic system was analyzed. The results indicated that the renewable emergy flow within the province basically remained steady state which was estimated at 2.99×1022 solar emjoules (sej) from 1978 to 2007. The imported emergy and exported emergy were estimated at 3.75×1017 sej and 2.99×1020 sej in 1978 and increased to 1.07×1022 sej and 1.44×1022 sej respectively in 2007. The nonrenewable emergy flow was estimated at 1.62×1022 sej and increased to 1.85×1023 sej,with annual growth rate of 8.7%,while the estimated total emergy was 4.58×1022 sej in 1978 and increased to 2.11×1023 sej in 2007,with annual growth rate of 5.41%. Our results indicate a deteriorate situation between economic development and environmental protection in the region. The rapid economic growth in the past thirty years was based on a great consumption of nonrenewable resource and caused continuous decrease in the capacity of sustainable development. The environmental loading ratio was 0.53 in 1978,increased to 6.06 in 2007,indicating a rapid degradation of the regional environment quality. We calculated that the actual population was 1.53 times the renewable resource population in 1978,increased to 7.06 times in 2007. During the period of 1978-2007,the emergy rose from 2.45×1015 sej/(capita·a) to 8.07×1015 sej/(capita·a). 13Association between Lipoprotein(a) Levels and Metabolic Syndrome in a Middle-aged and Elderly Chinese Cohort显示文摘Objective The association between lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)] levels and metabolic syndrome(MetS) remains uncertain, especially in the Asian population. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the association between Lp(a) levels and MetS in a middle-aged and elderly Chinese cohort. Methods A cross-sectional study of 10,336 Chinese adults aged 40 years or older was conducted in Jiading District, Shanghai, China. Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the association between serum Lp(a) levels and MetS. Results In the overall population, 37.5% of participants had MetS. Compared with individuals in the lowest quartile of serum Lp(a) levels, those in the highest quartile had a lower prevalence of MetS(30.9% vs. 46.9%, P for trend < 0.0001). Multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that compared with participants in the bottom quartile of serum Lp(a) levels, those in the top quartile had decreased odds ratio(OR) for prevalent MetS [multivariate-adjusted OR 0.45(95% confidence interval 0.39-0.51);P < 0.0001]. Additionally, Lp(a) level was conversely associated with the risk of central obesity, high fasting glucose, high triglycerides, and low HDL cholesterol, but not with hypertension. Stratified analyses suggested that increasing levels of Lp(a) was associated with decreased risk of MetS in all the subgroups. 14Preparation of polyacrylamide/silica composite capsules by inverse Pickering emulsion polymerization显示文摘Polyacrylamide/silica(PAM/SiO_2) composite capsules were synthesized by inverse Pickering emulsion polymerization.Silica nanoparticles modified with methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(MPS) were used as a stabilizer.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared(FT1R) spectroscopy,and thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) were used to characterize the morphology and composition of the composite capsules.SEM and TEM images showed that capsules consisted of a particle shell and a polymer inner layer.The capsule size depends on the nanoparticle concentration in the continuous phase.The composite rigidity largely depends on the acrylamide concentration.FTIR and TGA results indicated the existence of polyacrylamide and SiO_2 in the composite particles.Aqueous Hg(Ⅱ) removal testing by the PAM/SiO_2 composite capsules indicated promising potential for removing heavy metal ions from wastewater.Kui Zhang Qian Wang Hong Meng Mian Wang Wei Wu Jianfeng Chen 2014Particuology2014,12,3:5
15Functional Analysis of the Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase on the Lipid Accumulation of Peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) Seeds显示文摘Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase(PEPC;EC 4.1.1.31) catalyses phosphoenolpyruvate(PEP) to yield oxaloacetate,which is involved in protein biosynthesis.Pyruvate kinase(PK;EC 2.7.1.40) catalyzes PEP to yield pyruvate,which is involved in fatty acid synthesis.In this study,five PEPC genes(AhPEPC1,AhPEPC2,AhPEPC3,AhPEPC4,and AhPEPC5) from peanut have been cloned.Using a quantitative real-time RT-PCR approach,the expression pattern of each gene was monitored during the seed development of four peanut varieties(E11,Hebeigaoyou,Naihan 1,and Huayu 26).It was found that these five genes shared similar expression behaviors over the developmental stages of E11 with high expression levels at 30 and 40 d after pegging(DAP);whereas these five genes showed irregular expression patterns during the seed development of Hebeigaoyou.In Naihan 1 and Huayu 26,the expression levels of the five genes remained relatively high in the first stage.The PEPC activity was monitored during the seed development of four peanut varieties and seed oil content was also characterized during whole period of seed development.The PEPC activity followed the oil accumulation pattern during the early stages of development but they showed a significantly negative correlation thereafter.These results suggested that PEPC may play an important role in lipid accumulation during the seed development of four peanut varieties tested.PAN Li-juan YANG Qing-li CHI Xiao-yuan CHEN Ming-na YANG Zhen CHEN Na WANG Tong WANG Mian HE Ya-nan YU Shan-lin 2013Journal of Integrative Agriculture2013,12,1:4
16Laminaria japonica increases plasma exposure of glycyrrhetinic acid following oral administration of Liquorice extract in rats显示文摘The present study was designed to investigate the effects of Laminaria japonica(Laminaria) on pharmacokinetics of glycyrrhetinic acid(GA) following oral administration of Liquorice extract in rats.Following oral administrations of single-dose and multi-dose Liquorice extract and Liquorice-Laminaria extract,respectively,plasma samples were obtained at various times and the concentrations of GA,liquiritigenin,and isoliquiritigenin were measured by LC-MS.The effects of Laminaria extract on pharmacokinetics of GA were also investigated,following single-dose and multidose of glycyrrhizic acid(GL).The effects of Laminaria extract on intestinal absorption of GA and GL were studied using the in situ single-pass intestinal perfusion model.The metabolism of GL to GA in the contents of small and large intestines was also studied.The results showed Liquorice-Laminaria extract markedly increased the plasma concentration of GA,accompanied by a shorter Tmax.Similar alteration was observed following multidose administration.However,pharmacokinetics of neither liquiritigenin nor isoliquiritigenin was affected by Laminaria.Similarly,Laminaria markedly increased concentration and decreased Tmax of GA following oral GL were observed.The data from the intestinal perfusion model showed that Laminaria markedly increased GL absorption in duodenum and jejunum,but did not affect the intestinal absorption of GA.It was found that Laminaria enhanced the metabolism of GL to GA in large intestine.In conclusion,Laminaria increased plasma exposures of GA following oral administration of liquorice or GL,which partly resulted from increased intestinal absorption of GL and metabolism of GL to GA in large intestine.ZHAO Wei-Man JIANG Shu-Wen CHEN Yang ZHONG Ze-Yu WANG Zhong-Jian ZHANG Mian LI Ying XU Ping LIU Li LIU Xiao-Dong 2015Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2015,13,7:4
17The telomere-to-telomere genome of Fragaria vesca reveals the genomic evolution of Fragaria and the origin of cultivated octoploid strawberry显示文摘Fragaria vesca,commonly known as wild or woodland strawberry,is the most widely distributed diploid Fragaria species and is native to Europe and Asia.Because of its small plant size,low heterozygosity,and relative ease of genetic transformation,F.vesca has been a model plant for fruit research since the publication of its Illumina-based genome in 2011.However,its genomic contribution to octoploid cultivated strawberry remains a long-standing question.Here,we de novo assembled and annotated a telomere-to-telomere,gap-free genome of F.vesca‘Hawaii 4’,with all seven chromosomes assembled into single contigs,providing the highest completeness and assembly quality to date.The gap-free genome is 220785082 bp in length and encodes 36173 protein-coding gene models,including 1153 newly annotated genes.All 14 telomeres and seven centromeres were annotated within the seven chromosomes.Among the three previously recognized wild diploid strawberry ancestors,F.vesca,F.iinumae,and F.viridis,phylogenomic analysis showed that F.vesca and F.viridis are the ancestors of the cultivated octoploid strawberry F.×ananassa,and F.vesca is its closest relative.Three subgenomes of F.×ananassa belong to the F.vesca group,and one is sister to F.viridis.We anticipate that this high-quality,telomere-to-telomere,gap-free F.vesca genome,combined with our phylogenomic inference of the origin of cultivated strawberry,will provide insight into the genomic evolution of Fragaria and facilitate strawberry genetics and molecular breeding.Yuhan Zhou Jinsong Xiong Ziqiang Shu Chao Dong Tingting Gu Pengchuan Sun Shuang He Mian Jiang Zhiqiang Xia Jiayu Xue Wasi Ullah Khan Fei Chen Zong-Ming Cheng 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,4:4
18Landslide inventory and susceptibility assessment using multiple statistical approaches along the Karakoram highway,northern Pakistan显示文摘China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC)is a framework of regional connectivity,which will not only benefit China and Pakistan but will have positive impact on Iran,Afghanistan,India,Central Asian Republic,and the region.The surrounding area in CPEC is prone to frequent disruption by geological hazards mainly landslides in northern Pakistan.Comprehensive landslide inventory and susceptibility assessment are rarely available to utilize for landslide mitigation strategies.This study aims to utilize the high-resolution satellite images to develop a comprehensive landslide inventory and subsequently develop landslide susceptibility maps using multiple techniques.The very high-resolution(VHR)satellite images are utilized to develop a landslide inventory using the visual image classification techniques,historic records and field observations.A total of 1632 landslides are mapped in the area.Four statistical models i.e.,frequency ratio,artificial neural network,weights of evidence and logistic regression were used for landslide susceptibility modeling by comparing the landslide inventory with the topographic parameters,geological features,drainage and road network.The developed landslides susceptibility maps were verified using the area under curve(AUC)method.The prediction power of the model was assessed by the prediction rate curve.The success rate curves show 93%,92.8%,92.7%and 87.4%accuracy of susceptibility maps for frequency ratio,artificial neural network,weights of evidence and logistic regression,respectively.The developed landslide inventory and susceptibility maps can be used for land use planning and landslide mitigation strategies.Mian Luqman HUSSAIN Muhammad SHAFIQUE Alam Sher BACHA CHEN Xiao-qing CHEN Hua-yong 2021Journal of Mountain Science2021,18,3:4

20Developing a microfluidic-based system to quantify cell capture efficiency显示文摘Micro-fabrication technology has substantial potential for identifying molecular markers expressed on the surfaces of tissue cells and viruses. It has been found in several conceptual prototypes that cells with such markers are able to be captured by their antibodies immobilized on microchannel substrates and unbound cells are flushed out by a driven flow. The feasibility and reliability of such a microflu- idic-based assay, however, remains to be further tested. In the current work, we developed a microflu- idic-based system consisting of a microfluidic chip, an image grabbing unit, data acquisition and analysis software, as well as a supporting base. Specific binding of CD59-expressed or BSA-coupled human red blood cells (RBCs) to anti-CD59 or anti-BSA antibody-immobilized chip surfaces was quan- tified by capture efficiency and by the fraction of bound cells. Impacts of respective flow rate, cell concentration, antibody concentration and site density were tested systematically. The measured data indicated that the assay was robust. The robustness was further confirmed by capture efficiencies measured from an independent ELISA-based cell binding assay.
