1The influence of stage at diagnosis and molecular subtype on breast cancer patient survival: a hospital.based multi.center study显示文摘Background: Stage at diagnosis and molecular subtype are important clinical factors associated with breast cancer patient survival. However, subgroup survival data from a large study sample are limited in China.To estimate the survival differences among patients with different stages and various subtypes of breast cancer, we conducted a hospital-based multi-center study on breast cancer in Beijing, China.Methods: All resident patients diagnosed with primary, invasive breast cancer between January 1,2006 and December 31,2010 from four selected hospitals in Beijing were included and followed up until December 31,2015. Hospitalbased data of stage at diagnosis, hormone receptor status, and selected clinical characteristics, including body mass index(BMI), menopausal status, histological grade, and histological type, were collected from the medical records of the study subjects. Overall survival(OS) and cancer-specific survival(CSS) were estimated. Cox proportional hazards models were employed to evaluate the associations of stage at diagnosis and molecular subtype with patient survival.Results: The 5-year OS and CSS rates for all patients were 89.4% and 90.3%. Survival varied by stage and molecular subtype. The 5-year OS rates for patients with stage I, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, and IV diseases were 96.5%, 91.6%, 74.8%, and 40.7%,respectively, and the corresponding estimates of 5-year CSS rates were 97.1%, 92.6%, 75.6%, and 42.7%, respectively.The 5-year OS rates for patients with luminal A, luminal B, HER2, and triple-negative subtypes of breast cancer were92.6%, 88.4%, 83.6%, and 82.9%, respectively, and the corresponding estimates of 5-year CSS rates were 93.2%, 89.1 %,85.4%, and 83.5%, respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that stage at diagnosis and molecular subtype were important prognostic factors for breast cancer.Conclusions: Survival of breast cancer patients varied significantly by stage and molecular subtype. Cancer screening is encouraged for the early detection and early diagnosis of breast cancer. 2Comparison of cancer incidence and mortality in three GDP per capita levels in China, 2013显示文摘Objective:In this research,the patterns of cancer incidence and mortality in areas with different gross domestic product per capita(GDPPC)levels in China were explored,using data from population-based cancer registries in 2013,collected by the National Central Cancer Registry(NCCR).Methods:Data from 255 cancer registries were qualified and included in this analysis.Based on the GDPPC data of 2014,cities/counties were divided into 3 levels:high-,middle-and low-GDPPC areas,with 40,000 and 80,000 RMB per year as cut points.We calculated cancer incidences and mortalities in these three levels,stratified by gender and age group.The national population of the Fifth Census in 2000 and Segi’s population were applied for age-standardized rates.Results:The crude incidence and mortality rates as well as age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)showed positive associations with GDPPC level.The age-standardized mortality rate(ASMR)nevertheless showed a negative association with GDPPC level.The ASMR in high-,middle-and low-GDPPC areas was 103.12/100,000,112.49/100,000 and 117.43/100,000,respectively.Lung cancer was by far the most common cancer in all three GDPPC levels.It was also the leading cause of cancer death,regardless of gender and GDPPC level.Negative associations with GDPPC level were found for the ASIRs of lung,stomach,esophageal and liver cancer,whereas colorectal and breast cancer showed positive associations.Except for breast cancer,the ASMRs of the other five cancers were always higher in middle-and low-GDPPC areas than in high-GDPPC areas.Conclusions:The economic development is one of the main factors of the heavy cancer burden on Chinese population.It would be reasonable to implement cancer control strategies referring to the local GDPPC level.Zhixun Yang Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Changfa Xia He Li Li Wang Yanhong Wang Wanqing Chen 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,5:13
3Trends in geographical disparities for cervical cancer mortality in China from 1973 to 2013:a subnational spatio-temporal study显示文摘Objective: This study was designed to explore the time trends in geographical variations of cervical cancer mortality in China's Mainland over the period 1973 to 2013,to provide subnational spatio-temporal patterns for targeted promotion of human papillomavirus vaccine in China.Methods: Data were extracted from three national retrospective death surveys and cancer registry.The rate ratio(RR) was estimated for the aggregated data for seven geographical regions using generalized linear models to evaluate time trends in geographical disparities of cervical cancer mortality.Results: There was a significant decrease in cervical cancer mortality in China from 1973–1975 to 2004–2005,but leveled off thereafter to 2011–2013.Compared to the period 1973–1975 the RR for the three last time periods were 0.33 [95% confidence interval(95% CI): 0.30–0.37] for 1990–1992,0.21(95% CI: 0.19–0.24) for 2004–2005 and 0.24(95% CI: 0.22–0.26) for 2011–2013.Females living in the Northwest China and Central China have a high risk of mortality from cervical cancer compared to the nationwide,with the RR being 2.09(95% CI:1.83–2.38) and 1.26(95% CI: 1.11–1.44) respectively,while the RRs for South China,Northeast China and Southwest China were below 1.00,indicating the lower death risk.Despite the mortality rate had increased slightly from 2004 to 2013,there was an encouraging sign that the geographical disparities in cervical cancer mortality had gradually narrowed over time across China.Conclusions: Although cervical cancer mortality in China has reduced to very low levels,the high risk of cervical cancer in Northwest China and Central China is still noteworthy.Public health policies including the promotion of vaccine should be targeted to further reduction of geographical disparities in cervical cancer mortality.Changfa Xia Chao Ding Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Jinfeng Wang Yilan Liao Ningxu Zhang Zhixun Yang Wanqing Chen 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,6:13

5Aortic reoperation in a patient with Loeys-Dietz syndrome显示文摘Loeys-Dietz syndrome (LDS,OMIM #609192) is a recently recognized connective tissue disorder with clinical characteristics similar to Marfan syndrome.Aggressive aortic pathologies in LDS makes timely diagnosis and surgical intervention crucial compared to other genetic syndromes.We report a young man with LDS confirmed by genetic testing who twice underwent surgical operations to repair aortic aneurysm. 6A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 18DM Code Key Point Detection Algorithm Based on CenterNet显示文摘Data Matrix(DM)codes have been widely used in industrial production.The reading of DM code usually includes positioning and decoding.Accurate positioning is a prerequisite for successful decoding.Traditional image processing methods have poor adaptability to pollution and complex backgrounds.Although deep learning-based methods can automatically extract features,the bounding boxes cannot entirely fit the contour of the code.Further image processing methods are required for precise positioning,which will reduce efficiency.Because of the above problems,a CenterNet-based DM code key point detection network is proposed,which can directly obtain the four key points of the DM code.Compared with the existing methods,the degree of fitness is higher,which is conducive to direct decoding.To further improve the positioning accuracy,an enhanced loss function is designed,including DM code key point heatmap loss,standard DM code projection loss,and polygon Intersection-over-Union(IoU)loss,which is beneficial for the network to learn the spatial geometric characteristics of DM code.The experiment is carried out on the self-made DM code key point detection dataset,including pollution,complex background,small objects,etc.,which uses the Average Precision(AP)of the common object detection metric as the evaluation metric.AP reaches 95.80%,and Frames Per Second(FPS)gets 88.12 on the test set of the proposed dataset,which can achieve real-time performance in practical applications.Wei Wang Xinyao Tang Kai Zhou Chunhui Zhao Changfa Liu 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,77,11:0
19Animal models for COVID-19:advances,gaps and perspectives显示文摘COVID-19,caused by SARS-CoV-2,is the most consequential pandemic of this century.Since the outbreak in late 2019,animal models have been playing crucial roles in aiding the rapid development of vaccines/drugs for prevention and therapy,as well as understanding the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection and immune responses of hosts.However,the current animal models have some deficits and there is an urgent need for novel models to evaluate the virulence of variants of concerns(VOC),antibodydependent enhancement(ADE),and various comorbidities of COVID-19.This review summarizes the clinical features of COVID-19 in different populations,and the characteristics of the major animal models of SARS-CoV-2,including those naturally susceptible animals,such as non-human primates,Syrian hamster,ferret,minks,poultry,livestock,and mouse models sensitized by genetically modified,AAV/adenoviral transduced,mouse-adapted strain of SARS-CoV-2,and by engraftment of human tissues or cells.Since understanding the host receptors and proteases is essential for designing advanced genetically modified animal models,successful studies on receptors and proteases are also reviewed.Several improved alternatives for future mouse models are proposed,including the reselection of alternative receptor genes or multiple gene combinations,the use of transgenic or knock-in method,and different strains for establishing the next generation of genetically modified mice.Changfa Fan Yong Wu Xiong Rui Yuansong Yang Chen Ling Susu Liu Shunan Liu Youchun Wang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8:0

[Method] The data of body weight,body size and sexual behavior of male donkey during production were collected,combining with the semen quality data of ejaculation volume,density,motility and frozen-thawed semen motility were conducted the statistical analysis.
