1Neoarchean(2.5-2.8 Ga) crustal growth of the North China Craton revealed by zircon Hf isotope:A synthesis显示文摘The crustal growth of the North China Craton(NCC) during the Neoarchean time(2.5—2.8 Ga) is a hotly controversial topic,with some proposing thai the main crustal growth occurred in the late Neoarchean (2.5—2.6 Ga),in agreement with the time of the magmatism,whereas others suggest that the main crustal accretion took place during early Neoarchean time(2.7—2.8 Ga),consistent with the time of crustalformation of other cratons in the world.Zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotope compositions can provide rigorous constraints on the time of crustal growth and the evolution and tectonic division of the NCC.In this contribution, we make a comprehensive review of zircon Hf isotope data in combination with zircon U-Pb geochronology and some geochemistry data from various divisions of the NCC with an aim to constrain the Neoarchean crustal growth of the NCC.The results suggest that both 2.7—2.8 Ga and 2.5—2.6 Ga crustal growth are distributed over the NCC and the former is much wider than previously suggested.The Eastern block is characterized by the main 2.7—2.8 Ga crustal growth with local new crustal-formation at 2.5—2.6 Ga,and the Yinshan block is characterized by~2.7 Ga crustal accretion as revealed by Hf-isotope data of detrital zircons from the Zhaertai Group.Detrital zircon data of the Khondalite Belt indicate that the main crustal growth period of the Western block is Paleoproterozoic involving some~2.6 Ga and minor Early- to Middle-Archean crustal components,and the crustal accretion in the Trans-North China Orogen(TNCO) has a wide age range from 2.5 Ga to 2.9 Ga with a notable regional discrepancy.Zircon Hf isotope compositions,coupled with zircon ages and other geochemical data suggest that the southern margin may not be an extension of the TNCO,and the evolution and tectonic division of the NCC is more complex than previously proposed,probably involving multi-stage crustal growth and subduction processes.However, there is no doubt that 2.7—2.8 Ga magmatism and crustal-formation are more widely distributed than previously considered,which is further supported by the data of zircons from Precambrian lower crustal rocks, overlying sedimentary cover,modern river sediments and Late Neoarchean syenogranites.Andong Wang Yican Liu 2012Geoscience Frontiers2012,3,2:25

3Mesenchymal stem cell therapy for acute respiratory distress syndrome:from basic to clinics显示文摘The 2019 novel coronavirus disease(coVID-19),causedby the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),has occurred in China and around theworld.SARS-CoV-2-infected patients with severe pneu-monia rapidly develop acute respiratory distress syn-drome(ARDS)and die of multiple organ failure.Despiteadvances in supportive care approaches,ARDS is stillassociated with high mortality and morbidity.Mes-enchymal stem cell(MSC)-based therapy may be anpotential alternative strategy for treating ARDS by tar-geting the various pathophysiological events of ARDS.By releasing a variety of paracrine factors and extra-cellular vesicles,MSC can exert anti-inflammatory,anti-apoptotic,anti-microbial,and pro-angiogenic effects,promote bacterial and alveolar fluid clearance,disruptthe pulmonary endothelial and epithelial cell damage,eventually avoiding the lung and distal organ injuries torescue patients with ARDS.An increasing number ofexperimental animal studies and early clinical studiesverify the safety and efficacy of MSC therapy in ARDS.Since low cell engraftment and survival in lung limitMSC therapeutic potentials,several strategies havebeen developed to enhance their engraftment in the lungand their intrinsic,therapeutic properties.Here,weprovide a comprehensive review of the mechanisms andoptimization of MSC therapy in ARDS and highlightedthe potentials and possible barriers of MSC therapy forcovID-19 patients with ARDS.Hua Qin Andong Zhao 2020Protein & Cell2020,11,10:16
4Initial corrosion behavior and mechanism of 7B04 aluminum alloy under acid immersion and salt spray environments显示文摘The initial corrosion behavior and mechanism of 7B04 aluminum alloy under acid immersion and salt spray environments(pH=3.5)are studied by Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM),optical microscope,Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-Ray Diffraction(XRD),potentiodynamic polarization,Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS),and Scanning Kelvin Probe(SKP).The results show that pitting corrosion occurs at the initial corrosion stage,and the potential difference between the second phase particles is the main cause of pitting.Pitting pits on different locations gradually expand and coalesce with the proceeding of corrosion.The main components of corrosion products are Al_(2)O_(3),Al(OH)_(3),and AlCl_(3),and the generation rate of the corrosion product layer under the salt spray environment is larger than that under acid immersion environment.Under both environments,the Volta potential distribution first disperses and then concentrates,while the charge transfer resistance first decreases and then increases with the corrosion time.The Volta potential gradually shifts in a positive direction,indicating that corrosion products have an inhibitory effect on corrosion.After the same corrosion time,the corrosion product layer resistance and the expectation of the Volta potential of the salt spray sample are higher than those of the immersion sample.Comparatively,the corrosion current density for the salt spray sample is significantly lower than the immersion sample,which indicates that the thicker the corrosion product layer,the stronger the inhibition of corrosion reaction.Yangguang ZHANG Yueliang CHEN Yong ZHANG Guixue BIAN Chenguang WANG Andong WANG 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,1:8
5Full-scale study of removal effect on Cyclops of zooplankton with chlorine dioxide显示文摘Cyclops of zooplankton propagated excessively in eutrophic water body and could not be effectively inactivated by the conventional disinfections process like chlorination due to its stronger resistance to oxidation. In this paper, a full-scale study of chlorine dioxide preoxidation cooperating with routine clarification process for Cyclops removal was conducted in a waterworks. The experimental results were compared with that of the existing prechlorination process in several aspects: including the Cyclops removal efficiencies of water samples taken from the outlets of sedimentation tank and sand filter and the security of drinking water and so on. The results showed that chlorine dioxide might be more effective to inactivate Cyclops than chlorine and Cyclops could be thoroughly removed from water by pre-dosing chlorine dioxide process. 6An Investigation of Optimal Machine Learning Methods for the Prediction of ROTI显示文摘The rate of the total electron content(TEC)change index(ROTI)can be regarded as an effective indicator of the level of ionospheric scintillation,in particular in low and high latitude regions.An accurate prediction of the ROTI is essential to reduce the impact of the ionospheric scintillation on earth observation systems,such as the global navigation satellite systems.However,it is difficult to predict the ROTI with high accuracy because of the complexity of the ionosphere.In this study,advanced machine learning methods have been investigated for ROTI prediction over a station at high-latitude in Canada.These methods are used to predict the ROTI in the next 5 minutes using the data derived from the past 15 minutes at the same location.Experimental results show that the method of the bidirectional gated recurrent unit network(BGRU)outperforms the other six approaches tested in the research.It is also confirmed that the RMSEs of the predicted ROTI using the BGRU method in all four seasons of 2017 are less than 0.05 TECU/min.It is demonstrated that the BGRU method exhibits a high level of robustness in dealing with abrupt solar activities.Fulong XU Zishen LI Kefei ZHANG Ningbo WANG Suqin WU Andong HU Lucas Holden 2020Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,2:7

8Gm Ms1 encodes a kinesin-like protein essential for male fertility in soybean(Glycine max L.)显示文摘The application of heterosis is a promising approach for greatly increasing yield in soybean(Glycine max L.). Nuclear male sterility is essential for hybrid seed production and the utilization of heterosis. Here we report the cloning of the gene underlying the soybean male-sterile mutant ms-1,which has been widely used for recurrent selection in soybean breeding programs. We initially delimited the ms1 locus to a 16.15 kb region on chromosome13, based on SLAF_BSA sequencing followed by genotyping of an F_(2) population segregating for the locus. Compared with the same region in fertile plants, the mutant region lacks a sequence of approximately 38.7 kb containing five protein-coding genes, including an ortholog of the kinesin-like protein gene NACK2, named Gm Ms1. The Gm Ms1 knockout plants generated via CRISPR/Casmediated gene editing displayed a complete malesterile phenotype. Metabolic profiling showed that fertile anthers accumulated starch and sucrose normally, whereas sterile anthers had higher anthocyanin levels and lower flavonoid levels and lower antioxidant enzyme activities. These results provide insights into the molecular mechanisms governing male sterility and demonstrate that Gm Ms1 could be used to create male-sterile lines through targeted mutagenesis. 9A Method for Detection of Main Metabolites in Aromatic Rice Seeds显示文摘[Objective] A method was developed for the analysis of main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS).[Method]The main metabolites in seeds of 9 different aromatic rice varieties were compared and analyzed with two methods. Method 1: the compound was extracted by the mixture of anhydrous ethanol and methylene chloride( V/V = 1∶ 1) at 60 ℃ for 3 h in water bath; the extract was isolated and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry using HP-5 capillary column with scan monitoring mode. Method 2: the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds were detected using headspace solid phase micro-extraction and gas chromatography mass spectrometry( GC-MS). [Result]Fifteen types of common metabolites were found in 9 different aromatic rice varieties. Method 1 was more effective than method 2 in detecting the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds. 10Chemical conversion of human and mouse fibroblasts into motor neurons显示文摘Transplantation of motor neurons can provide long-term functional benefits in animal models of neurodegenerative motor neuron diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and traumatic spinal cord injury. Although embryonic stem cells can differentiate into motor neurons, alternative sources of motor neurons may be controllable for disease modeling and transplantation. Here, we show that human and mouse fibroblasts can be efficiently and directly converted into motor neurons by a cocktail of five small molecules, without the involvement of the neural progenitor stage. The chemically-induced motor neurons display the distinct neuronal morphology and express motor neuron markers. Interestingly, when the same chemical compounds were soaked in beads and implanted in the hypodermis of the back skins of mice, surrounding cells begin to express motor neuron markers,indicating in vivo motor neuron reprogramming. 11Stochastic convergence analysis of cubature Kalman filter with intermittent observations显示文摘The stochastic convergence of the cubature Kalman filter with intermittent observations(CKFI) for general nonlinear stochastic systems is investigated. The Bernoulli distributed random variable is employed to describe the phenomenon of intermittent observations. According to the cubature sample principle, the estimation error and the error covariance matrix(ECM) of CKFI are derived by Taylor series expansion, respectively. Afterwards, it is theoretically proved that the ECM will be bounded if the observation arrival probability exceeds a critical minimum observation arrival probability. Meanwhile, under proper assumption corresponding with real engineering situations, the stochastic stability of the estimation error can be guaranteed when the initial estimation error and the stochastic noise terms are sufficiently small. 12Phosphate recovery with granular acid-activated neutralized red mud:Fixed-bed column performance and breakthrough curve modelling显示文摘Granular acid-activated neutralized red mud(AaN-RM)has been successfully prepared with good chemical stability and physical strength.However,its potential for industrial application remains unknown.Therefore,the performance of granular AaN-RM for phosphate recovery in a fixed-bed column was investigated.The results demonstrated that the phosphate adsorption performance of granular AaN-RM in a fixed-bed column was affected by various operational parameters,such as the bed depth,flow rate,initial solution pH and initial phosphate concentration.With the optimal empty-bed contact time(EBCT)of 24.27 min,the number of processed bed volumes and the phosphate adsorption capacity reached 496.95 and 84.80 mg/g,respectively.Then,the saturated fixed-bed column could be effectively regenerated with a0.5 mol/L HCl solution.The desorption efficiency remained as high as 83.45%with a low weight loss of 3.57%in the fifth regeneration cycle.In addition,breakthrough curve modelling showed that a 5-9-1 feed-forward artificial neural network(ANN)could be effectively applied for the optimization of the fixed-bed adsorption system;the coefficient of determination(R^2)and the root mean square error(RMSE)evaluated on the validation-testing data were 0.9987 and 0.0183,respectively.Therefore,granular AaN-RM fixed-bed adsorption exhibits promising potential for phosphate removal and recovery from polluted water.Andong Hu Guoping Ren Jiangang Che Yulin Guo Jie Ye Shungui Zhou 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,4:4

The result shows that after biological preprocessing, lignin content in straw stalk reduces significantly. The higher the lignin degradation rate, the higher the ethanol productivity. 17Enhanced anaerobic digestion of corn stover by thermo-chemical pretreatment显示文摘In order to solve the problem of lignocellulose degraded speedily and efficiently in anaerobic digestion,the thermo-chemical pretreatment was applied to enhance biogas production from corn stover.Corn stover was thermo-chemical pretreated with a fluidized bed pyrolysis reactor at 180℃,200℃ and 220℃,respectively.Lignin degradations during pretreatment were 15.07%,32.57% and 33.31%,respectively.The Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)images and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR)spectra confirm that the thermo-chemical pretreatment can change the structure of corn stover and make lignin content decrease.The thermo-chemical pretreated corn stover was digested using a 2-L fermentation reactor.Experimental results showed thermo-chemical pretreatment could improve biodegradability and enhance biogas production.The highest total biogas production was 23319 mL for 20 d which was 10.0% higher than that of the untreated corn stover.Wang Fang Niu Weisheng Zhang Andong Yi Weiming 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,1:3

19Connections between Evaporite Deposition and Glacial Periods since the Middle Pleistocene in Salt Lakes in the Western Qaidam Basin, China显示文摘The Quaternary was the main evaporite deposition period in the Qaidam Basin(QB), but the correlation between the evaporite deposition period and the glacial period is still unclear. In this study, the research objects are primarily evaporite-bearing strata in a 461.58 m-long drill core in the QB. X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) were applied to study the evaporite minerals, U-Th dating being applied to construct the ~(230)Th geochronological framework. Evaporite deposition from Marine Isotope Stage(MIS) 15 to MIS 4 in the borehole was reconstructed via mineralogical and geochronological data. The evaporite minerals are mainly halite(NaCl), mirabilite(Na_(2)SO_(4)·10H_(2)O), thenardite(Na_(2)SO_(4)) and gypsum(CaSO_(4)·2H_(2)O). A total of 9 effective ~(230)Th data points, ranging from 492.5 ± 43.0 ka to 62.0 ± 11.9 ka, were obtained. The depositional age of the earliest halite layer in the borehole is 592.5–563.0 ka. There were mirabilite deposits in the QB during the cold glacial environment of MIS 6. During MIS 4, the study area desiccated, with mirabilite and halite being deposited. 20D-stability and disturbance attenuation properties fornetworked control systems: switched system approach显示文摘Both D-stability and finite L_2-gain properties are studied for a class of uncertain discrete-time systems with timevarying network-induced delays. By using coordinate transform and delay partition, the D-stability and H∞ performance problems for such networked control systems(NCSs) are equivalently transferred into the corresponding problems for switching systems with arbitrary switching. Then, a sufficient condition for the existence of the robust D-stabilizing controllers is derived in terms of linear matrix inequality(LMI), and the design method is also presented for the state feedback controllers which guarantee that all the closed-loop poles remain inside the specified disk D(α, r)and the desired disturbance attenuation level.
