1Laser joining of CFRTP to titanium alloy via laser surface texturing显示文摘Grid pattern was textured on Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy(TC4)substrate surface by nanosecond laser system.Laser joining of carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite(CFRTP)to TC4 joints were performed,and the effect of texture grid depth was investigated.The contact angle of molten CFRTP on textured TC4 surface was measured and the tensile-shear force was tested.The fracture surface and interface morphology were observed.The results indicated that the wettability of molten CFRTP on TC4 surface improved remarkably after laser textured TC4.Shear force of CFRTP/TC4 joints was increased by 156%after laser textured TC4 surface.When the depth of grid was deeper than 100μm,contact angle increased and incomplete filling of molten CFRTP in grid occurred,the shear force thus decreased gradually.Resin-carbon fibers mixture was adhered on the fracture surface of TC4,and the variation tendency of adhesion ratio was consistent with that of shear force.TC4 matrix was exfoliated from substrate and adhered at the fracture surface of CFRTP,indicating stronger mechanical interlocking occurred at the joining interface after laser textured TC4 surface.Beside mechanical interlocking,compound layer consisted of CTi_(0.42)V_(1.58)carburization phase was also confirmed at interface,suggesting that chemical bonding also occurred at the joining interface.Caiwang TAN Jianhui SU Ziwei FENG Yifan LIU Bo CHEN Xiaoguo SONG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5:11
2A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 6Dihydroartemisinin beneficially regulates splenic immune cell heterogeneity through the SOD3-JNK-AP-1 axis显示文摘The immunomodulatory potential of dihydroartemisinin(DHA) has recently been highlighted;however, the potential mechanism remains to be clarified. Single-cell RNA sequencing was explored in combination with cellular and biochemical approaches to elucidate the immunomodulatory mechanisms of DHA. In this study, we found that DHA induced both spleen enlargement and rearrangement of splenic immune cell subsets in mice. It was revealed that DHA promoted the reversible expansion of effective regulatory T cells and interferon-γ^(+)cytotoxic CD8^(+)T cells in the spleen via induction of superoxide dismutase 3(SOD3) expression and increased phosphorylation of c-Jun N-terminal kinases(JNK) and its downstream activator protein 1(AP-1) transcription factors. Further, SOD3 knockout mice were resistant to the regulatory effect of DHA. 9Dihydroartemisinin regulates immune cell heterogeneity by triggering a cascade reaction of CDK and MAPK phosphorylation显示文摘Artemisinin(ART)and dihydroartemisinin(DHA),apart from their profound anti-malaria effect,can also beneficially modulate the host immune system;however,the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear.Here,we report that DHA selectively induced T-cell activation,with an increased proportion of Ki67^(+)CD4^(+)T cells,CD25^(+)CD4^(+)T cells,interferon(IFN)-γ-producing CD8^(+)T cells,Brdu^(+)CD8^(+)T cells and neutrophils,which was found to enhance cellular immunity to experimental malaria and overcome immunosuppression in mice.We further revealed that DHA upregulated the expression of cell proliferation-associated proteins by promoting the phosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),cyclin-dependent kinases(CDKs),and activator protein 1 in the spleen.This study is the first to provide robust evidence that DHA selectively induced the expansion of subsets of splenic T cells through phosphorylated CDKs and MAPK to enhance cellular immune responses under non-pathological or pathological conditions.The data significantly deepened our knowledge in the mechanism underlying DHA-mediated immunomodulation.Qilong Li Quan Yuan Ning Jiang Yiwei Zhang Ziwei Su Lei Lv Xiaoyu Sang Ran Chen Ying Feng Qijun Chen 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8:0
10Sampled-data control through model-free reinforcement learning with effective experience replay显示文摘Reinforcement Learning(RL)based control algorithms can learn the control strategies for nonlinear and uncertain environment during interacting with it.Guided by the rewards generated by environment,a RL agent can learn the control strategy directly in a model-free way instead of investigating the dynamic model of the environment.In the paper,we propose the sampled-data RL control strategy to reduce the computational demand.In the sampled-data control strategy,the whole control system is of a hybrid structure,in which the plant is of continuous structure while the controller(RL agent)adopts a discrete structure.Given that the continuous states of the plant will be the input of the agent,the state–action value function is approximated by the fully connected feed-forward neural networks(FCFFNN).Instead of learning the controller at every step during the interaction with the environment,the learning and acting stages are decoupled to learn the control strategy more effectively through experience replay.In the acting stage,the most effective experience obtained during the interaction with the environment will be stored and during the learning stage,the stored experience will be replayed to customized times,which helps enhance the experience replay process.The effectiveness of proposed approach will be verified by simulation examples.Bo Xiao H.K.Lam Xiaojie Su Ziwei Wang Frank P.-W.Lo Shihong Chen Eric Yeatman 2023Journal of Automation and Intelligence2023,2,1:0
11Flexible,durable,and anti-fouling nanocellulose-based membrane functionalized by block copolymer with ultra-high flux and efficiency for oil-in-water emulsions separation显示文摘The clearwater obtained from stabilized oily wastewater has become a worldwide challenge.Nowdays,the area of oil/water emulsion separation materials have accomplished great progress,but still faces the enormous problems of low flux,poor stability,and pollution resistance.Nanocelluloses(cellulose nanocrystals(CNC))with the advantages of hydrophilicity,ecofriendliness,and regeneration are ideal materials for the construction of separation membranes.In this paper,a flexible,antifouling,and durable nanocellulose-based membrane functionalized by block copolymer(poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-b-poly(N,Ndimethylaminoethyl methacrylate))is prepared via chemical modification and self-assembly,showing high separation efficiency(above 99.6%)for stabilized oil-in-water emulsions,excellent anti-fouling and cycling stability,high-temperature resistance,and acid and alkali resistance.More importantly,the composite membrane has ultra-high flux in separating oil-in-water emulsions(29,003 L·m^(−2)·h^(−1)·bar^(−1))and oil/water mixture(51,444 L·m^(−2)·h^(−1)·bar^(−1)),which ensures high separation efficiency.With its durability,easy scale-up,and green regeneration,we envision this biomass-derived membrane will be an alternative to the existing commercial filter membrane in environmental remediation.Jianfei Wu Yuxuan Su Ziwei Cui Yang Yu Jiafu Qu Jundie Hu Yahui Cai Jianzhang Li Dan Tian Qichun Zhang 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
12Light-Harvesting Artificial Cells for the Generation of ATP and NADPH显示文摘The bottom-up construction of self-powered artificial cells is significant to understand the energy supply and metabolism of nature cells.Here,we demonstrate an efficient manner to build thylakoid-containing artificial cells,which continuously convert light energy into chemical energy to supply adenosine 5'-triphosphate(ATP)under light illumination.The production of ATP supplies energy to promote the biological enzyme cascade reactions,where glucose is transformed into glucose 6-phosphate(G6P)under the catalysis of hexokinase(HK).G6P was further converted to gluconolactone 6-phosphate(PG)in the presence of 6-phosphate dehydrogenase(G6PDH),meanwhile NADP^(+) was converted to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH).The self-powered artificial cells were demonstrated to generate ATP and NADPH successively,which provided a way for building more complicated artificial cells.Ziwei Su Xiangxiang Zhang Weichen Wang Mingdong Dong Xiaojun Han 2023Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,1:0
13Electro-triggered Joule heating method to synthesize single-phase CuNi nano-alloy catalyst for efficient electrocatalytic nitrate reduction toward ammonia显示文摘Electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction(NO_(3)RR)has great potential for ammonia(NH_(3))synthesis benefiting from its environmental friendliness and sustainability.Cu-based alloys with elemental diversity and adsorption tunability are widely used as electrocatalyst to lower the reaction overpotential for NO_(3)RR catalysis.However,phase separation commonly found in alloys leads to uneven distribution of elements,which limits the possibility of further optimizing the catalytic activity.Herein,an electrotriggered Joule heating method,possessing unique superiority of flash heating and cooling that lead to well-dispersed nanoparticles and uniform mixing of various elements,was adopted to synthesize a single-phase CuNi nano-alloy catalyst evenly dispersed on carbon fiber paper,CFP-Cu_(1)Ni_(1),which exhibited a more positive NO_(3)RR initial potential of 0.1 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(vs.RHE)than that of pure copper nanoparticles at 10 mA·cm^(−2)in 0.5 mol·L^(−1)Na_(2)SO_(4)+0.1 mol·L^(−1)KNO_(3)solution.Importantly,CFP-Cu_(1)Ni_(1) presented high electrocatalytic activity with a Faradaic efficiency of 95.7%and NH_(3)yield rate of 180.58μmol·h^(−1)·cm^(−2)(2550μmol·h^(−1)·mg_(cat)^(−1))at−0.22 V vs.RHE.Theoretical calculations showed that alloying Cu with Ni into single-phase caused an upshift of its d-band center,which promoted the adsorption of NO_(3)−and weakened the adsorption of NH_(3).Moreover,the competitive adsorption of hydrogen ions was restrained until−0.24 V.This work offers a rational design concept with clear guidance for rapid synthesis of uniformly dispersed single-phase nano-alloy catalyst for efficient electrochemical NO_(3)RR toward ammonia.Zunjie Zhang Yang Liu Xiaozhi Su Ziwei Zhao Zhenkun Mo Chenyi Wang Yaling Zhao Ye Chen Shuyan Gao 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
14Preliminary Studies on Evaluation and Change Trends of Dominant Components in New Types of Tobacco Sheets by Thick Pulp Process显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to deeply understand the effects of production process on the quality of new types of tobacco sheets with different flavors.[Methods]Based on the pilot production process of thick pulp method,four different flavors of tobacco sheets were sampled at several links in the production process,for the detection of the contents of the main components in the samples,including propylene glycol,glycerol,menthol and glyceryl triacetate,so as to explore the change trends of various components in the thick pulp process.[Results]The change laws of propylene glycol and glycerol contents had a very high similarity,showing a trend of first decreasing and increasing then.The changes of menthol content and glyceryl triacetate content were greatly affected by the specific flavor formula.As one of the indexes of the new tobacco evaluation system,the alcohol-to-ester ratio data need to be further improved in the actual production and application process.[Conclusions]This study provides basic data support for improving the quality of tobacco sheets.Hao SHU Xiangbing TANG Ziwei WANG Xinge ZHANG Wanxia WANG Dan LI Qunshan YAN Tongfu SU Yanqiu JING Song GAO Bin XIONG 2022Agricultural Biotechnology2022,11,6:0
