1Orthogonal transformation operation theorem of a spatial universal uniform rotating magnetic field and its application in capsule endoscopy显示文摘According to the anti-phase sine current superposition theorem, the orientation, the magnetic flux density, the angular speed and the rotational direction of the spatial universal rotating magnetic field (SURMF) can be controlled within the tri-axial orthogonal square Helmholtz coils (TOSHC). Nevertheless, three coupling direction angles of the normal vector of the SURMF in the Descartes coordinate system cannot be separately controlled, thus the adjustment of the orientation of the SURMF is difficult and the flexibility of the robotic posture control is restricted. For the dimension reduction and the decoupling of control variables, the orthogonal transformation operation theorem of the SURMF is proposed based on two independent rotation angular variables, which employs azimuth and altitude angles as two variables of the three-phase sine current superposition formula derived by the orthogonal rotation inverse transformation. Then the unique control rules of the orientation and the rotational direction of the SURMF are generalized in each spatial quadrant, thus the scanning of the normal vector of the SURMF along the horizontal or vertical direction can be achieved through changing only one variable, which simplifies the control process of the orientation of the SURMF greatly. To validate its feasibility and maneuverability, experiments were conducted in the animal intestine utilizing the innovative dual hemisphere capsule robot (DHCR) with active and passive modes. It was demonstrated that the posture adjustment and the steering rolling locomotion of the DHCR can be realized through single variable control, thus the orthogonal transformation operation theorem makes the control of the orientation of the SURMF convenient and flexible significantly. 2Salmonella flagella confer anti-tumor immunological effect via activating Flagellin/TLR5 signalling within tumor microenvironment显示文摘Salmonella:mediated cancer therapy has achieved remarkable anti-tumor effects in experimental animal models,but the detailed mechanism remains unsolved.In this report,the active involvement of the host immune response in this process was confirmed by comparing the tumor-suppressive effects of Salmonella in immunocompetent and immunodeficient mice bearing melanoma allografts.Since flagella are key inducers of the host immune response during bacterial infection,flagella were genetically disrupted to analyse their involvement in Salmonella-mediated cancer therapy.The results showed that flagellum-deficient strains failed to induce significant anti-tumor effects,even when more bacteria were administered to offset the difference in invasion efficiency.Flagella mainly activate immune cells via Flagellin/Toll-like receptor 5(TLR5)signalling pathway.Indeed,we showed that exogenous activation of TLR5 signalling by recombinant Flagellin and exogenous expression of TLR5 both enhanced the therapeutic efficacy of flagellum-deficient Salmonella against melanoma.Our study highlighted the therapeutic value of the interaction between Salmonella and the host immune response through Flagellin/TLR5 signalling pathway during Salmonella-mediated cancer therapy,thereby suggesting the potential application of TLR5 agonists in the cancer immune therapy.Jianxiang Chen Yiting Qiao Guo Chen Cunjie Chang Heng Dong Bo Tang Xiawei Cheng Xiufeng Liu Zichun Hua 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,10:6

5Pijx confers broad-spectrum seedling and panicle blast resistance by promoting the degradation of ATP β subunit and OsRbohC-mediated ROS burst in rice显示文摘Rice blast,caused by the fungal pathogen Magnaporthe oryzae,is one of the most important diseases of rice.Utilization of blast-resistance genes is the most economical,effective,and environmentally friendly way to control the disease.However,genetic resources with broad-spectrum resistance(BSR)that is effective throughout the rice growth period are rare.In this work,using a genome-wide association study,we identify a new blast-resistance gene,Pijx,which encodes a typical CC-NBS-LRR protein.Pijx is derived from a wild rice species and confers BSR to M.oryzae at both the seedling and panicle stages.The functions of the resistant haplotypes of Pijx are confirmed by gene knockout and overexpression experiments.Mechanistically,the LRR domain in Pijx interacts with and promotes the degradation of the ATP synthase β subunit(ATPb)via the 26S proteasome pathway.ATPb acts as a negative regulator of Pijx-mediated panicle blast resistance,and interacts with OsRbohC to promote its degradation.Consistently,loss of ATPb function causes an increase in NAPDH content and ROS burst.Remarkably,when Pijx is introgressed into two japonica rice varieties,the introgression lines show BSR and increased yields that are approximately 51.59%and 79.31%higher compared with those of their parents in a natural blast disease nursery.In addition,we generate PPL^(Pijx Pigm) and PPL^(Pijx Piz-t) pyramided lines and these lines also have higher BSR to panicle blast compared with Pigm-or Piz-t-containing rice plants.Collectively,this study demonstrates that Pijx not only confers BSR to M.oryzae but also maintains high and stable rice yield,providing new genetic resources and molecular targets for breeding rice varieties with broad-spectrum blast resistance.Ning Xiao Yunyu Wu Xiaoxiang Zhang Zeyun Hao Zichun Chen Zefeng Yang Yue Cai Ruyi Wang Ling Yu Zhiping Wang Yue Lu Wei Shi Cunhong Pan Yuhong Li Changhai Zhou Jianju Liu Niansheng Huang Guangqing Liu Hongjuan Ji Shuhao Zhu Shuai Fang Yuese Ning Aihong Li 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,11:0

7ADT-OH improves intestinal barrier function and remodels the gut microbiota in DSS-induced colitis显示文摘Owing to the increasing incidence and prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)worldwide,effective and safe treatments for IBD are urgently needed.Hydrogen sulfide(H2S)is an endogenous gasotransmitter and plays an important role in inflammation.To date,H2S-releasing agents are viewed as potential anti-inflammatory drugs.The slow-releasing H_(2)S donor 5-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3H-1,2-dithiole-3-thione(ADT-OH),known as a potent therapeutic with chemopreventive and cytoprotective properties,has received attention recently.Here,we reported its anti-inflammatory effects on dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced acute(7 days)and chronic(30 days)colitis.We found that ADT-OH effectively reduced the DSS-colitis clinical score and reversed the inflammation-induced shortening of colon length.Moreover,ADT-OH reduced intestinal inflammation by suppressing the nuclear factor kappa-B pathway.In vivo and in vitro results showed that ADT-OH decreased intestinal permeability by increasing the expression of zonula occludens-1 and occludin and blocking increases in myosin II regulatory light chain phosphorylation and epithelial myosin light chain kinase protein expression levels.In addition,ADT-OH restored intestinal microbiota dysbiosis characterized by the significantly increased abundance of Muribaculaceae and Alistipes and markedly decreased abundance of Helicobacter,Mucispirillum,Parasutterella,and Desulfovibrio.Transplanting ADT-OH-modulated microbiota can alleviate DSS-induced colitis and negatively regulate the expression of local and systemic proinflammatory cytokines.Collectively,ADT-OH is safe without any short-term(5 days)or long-term(30 days)toxicological adverse effects and can be used as an alternative therapeutic agent for IBD treatment.Zhiqian Bi Jia Chen Xiaoyao Chang Dangran Li Yingying Yao Fangfang Cai Huangru Xu Jian Cheng Zichun Hua Hongqin Zhuang 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,5:0
8Molecule Dynamics Study on Heat Transfer at Gas-Nanoparticle Interface显示文摘The molecular dynamics(MD)simulations were used to understand the heat transfer process between the gas phase and the solid skeleton in the nanoporous silica aerogels.The amorphous silica nanoparticles were generated by the MD simulations and the energy accommodation coefficient(EAC)between the gases and the nanoparticles was calculated based on the results of the nonequilibrium molecular dynamics(NEMD)simulations.The apparent thermal conductivity(ATC)of the gases between the heat source and heat sink was also obtained.The effects of the temperature,the particle diameter and the molecule type on the EAC and the ATC were investigated.The results indicate that the EAC decreases with the increase of temperature within the calculating range.When the preset temperature is constant,the EAC increases with the increasing of the particle diameter and eventually approaches a specific value.When the preset temperature is 300 K and the particle size is 4 nm,the obtained EAC for the N2 gas and the O2 gas is close to each other and both are less than that of the Ar gas.The results also indicate that the heat transferred through the gas-nanoparticle interface is far less than that through the neighbouring nanoparticles in silica aerogels.Zichun Yang Gaohui Su Bin Chen 2016Computers, Materials & Continua2016,,1:0
9Design Rules of the Mixing Phase and Impacts on Device Performance in High-Efficiency Organic Photovoltaics显示文摘In nonfullerene acceptor-(NFA-)based solar cells,the exciton splitting takes place at both domain interface and donor/acceptor mixture,which brings in the state of mixing phase into focus.The energetics and morphology are key parameters dictating the charge generation,diffusion,and recombination.It is revealed that tailoringthe electronic properties of the mixing region by doping with larger-bandgap components could reduce the density of state but elevate the filling state level,leading to improved open-circuit voltage(V_(OC))and reduced recombination.The monomolecular and bimolecular recombinations are shown to be intercorrelated,which show a Gaussian-like relationship with V_(OC) and linear relationship with short-circuit current density(JSC)and fill factor(FF).The kinetics of hole transfer and exciton diffusion scale with JSC similarly,indicating the carrier generation in mixing region and crystalline domain are equally important.From the morphology perspective,the crystalline order could contribute to V_(OC) improvement,and the fibrillar structure strongly affects the FF.These observations highlight the importance of the mixing region and its connection with crystalline domains and point out the design rules to optimize the mixing phase structure,which is an effective approach to further improve device performance.Jingnan Song Ming Zhang Tianyu Hao Jun Yan Lei Zhu Guanqing Zhou Rui Zeng Wenkai Zhong Jinqiu Xu Zichun Zhou Xiaonan Xue Chun-Chao Chen Weihua Tang Haiming Zhu Zaifei Ma Zheng Tang Yongming Zhang Feng Liu 2022Research2022,,4:0
10Interface catalytic reduction of alumina by nickle for the aluminum nanowire growth: Dynamics observed by in situ TEM显示文摘Metal nanowires show promise in a broad range of applications and can be fabricated via a number of methods,such as vapor–liquid–solid process and template-based electrodeposition.However,the synthesis of Al nanowires(NWs)is still challenging from the stable alumina substrate.In this work,the Ni-catalyzed fabrication of Al NWs has been realized using various Al_(2)O_(3) substrates.The growth dynamics of Al NWs on Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) was studied using in situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The effect of alumina structures,compositions,and growth temperature were investigated.The growth of Al NWs correlates with the Na addition to the alumina support.Since no eutectic mixture of nickel aluminide was formed,a mechanism of Ni-catalyzed reduction of Al_(2)O_(3) for Al NWs growth has been proposed instead of the vapor–liquid–solid mechanism.The key insights reported here are not restricted to Ni-catalyzed Al NWs growth but can be extended to understanding the dynamic change and catalytic performance of Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) under working conditions.Zichun Wang Dan Wang Ang Li Lizhuo Wang Xiaodong Han Yijiao Jiang Jianfeng Chen Jun Huang 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
11Structural eigenvalue analysis under the constraint of a fuzzy convex set model显示文摘In small-sample problems, determining and controlling the errors of ordinary rigid convex set models are difficult. Therefore, a new uncertainty model called the fuzzy convex set(FCS) model is built and investigated in detail. An approach was developed to analyze the fuzzy properties of the structural eigenvalues with FCS constraints. Through this method, the approximate possibility distribution of the structural eigenvalue can be obtained. Furthermore, based on the symmetric F-programming theory, the conditional maximum and minimum values for the structural eigenvalue are presented, which can serve as nonfuzzy quantitative indicators for fuzzy problems. 12Should we continue breastfeeding after SARS-CoV-2 infection or mRNA vaccination?显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),has posed a potential threat to infant health.The World Health Organization recommended that the benefits of breastfeeding far outweigh the potential risk of transmission,but there is no denying that the current evidence is insufficient.Moreover,although the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine has played an effective role in protection against infection,individuals have increasing concerns about the safety of breastfeeding after vaccination,and which have caused some breastfeeding women to postpone vaccination or stop breastfeeding early.Thus,in this review,we provide an in-depth discussion of whether SARS-CoV-2 and the vaccine will affect babies through breast milk.On one hand,only a very small number of milk samples were identified positive for viral RNA and almost impossible to be live virus particles.The milk of most lactating women after vaccination did not contain vaccine-related mRNA and polyethylene glycol.On the other hand,the antibodies and biologically active molecules like lactoferrin are abundant in the milk of lactating women who have been infected or vaccinated,which can provide potential protection against infants’respiratory and gastrointestinal infections.Therefore,in terms of implications for clinical practice,the results of our study support that lactating women who have been infected or vaccinated should be encouraged to breastfeed their infants under the premise of taking appropriate sanitary measures.FEI CHEN CHUN LUAN ZICHUN WEI DECHEN CAI ZHIWEN CUI YUYANG LI HAO WU XIAOXIA ZHANG XIAOLI WU 2022BIOCELL2022,46,6:0
13On-chip ultrafast pulse generation based on graphene-silicon hybrid waveguides显示文摘On-chip ultrafast mode-locking lasers are basic building blocks for the realization of a chip-based optical frequency comb.In this paper,an ultrafast saturable absorber made up of a graphene pad on top of a silicon waveguide is applied to implement an ultrafast pulse laser.Benefiting from the small mode area of the graphene/silicon hybrid waveguide,the saturable pulse energy is reduced by two orders of magnitude compared with the fiber.A mode-locked pulse with a duration of 542 fs and a repetition rate of 54.37 MHz is realized.Pump–probe measurement shows that the carrier relaxation process of free carrier recombination with atomic-thin graphene/silicon junctions is three orders of magnitude faster than silicon,which plays a fundamental role in pulse narrowing.The chip-scale silicon ultrafast laser lays a foundation for a new class of nonlinear devices,in which a combination with multiple functional silicon photonic circuits enables efficient nonlinear interaction at the micrometer scale and less than 1 W of power consumption.MENG DENG ZICHUN LIAO YANKAI CHEN NINGNING YANG XU YAN CHI ZHANG NENGLI DAI YI WANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,9:0
