1Characterization of disinfection byproduct formation potential in 13 source waters in China显示文摘The formation potential of four trihalomethanes (THMFP) and seven haloacetic acids (HAA 7 FP) in 13 source waters taken from four major water basin areas in China was evaluated using the simulated distribution system (SDS) chlorination method.The specific ultraviolet absorbance (SUVA 254:the ratio of UV 254 to dissolved organic carbon (DOC)),which ranged between 0.9 and 5.0 L/(mg·m),showed that the organic compounds in different source waters exhibited different reactivities with chlorine.The HAA 7 FP of source waters ranged from 20 to 448 μg/L and the THMFP ranged from 29 to 259 μg/L.The HAA 7 FP concentrations were higher than the THMFP concentrations in all but one of the samples.Therefore,the risks of haloacetic acids (HAAs) should be of concern in some source waters.TCM (chloroform) and BDCM (bromodichloromethane) were the major THM constituents,while TCAA (trichloroacetic acid) and DCAA (dichloroacetic acid) were the major HAA species.Br-THM (brominated THM species) were much higher than BrHAA (brominated HAA species),and the formation of Br-DBP (Br-THM and Br-HAA) should be of concern when the bromide concentration is over 100 μg/L.Junzhi Zhang Jianwei Yu Wei An Juan Liu Yongjing Wang Youjun Chen Jia Tai Min Yang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:13
2Effects of key factors of rotary triboelectrostatic separator on efficiency of fly ash decarbonization显示文摘On the basis of understanding the principle of rotary triboelectrostatic separation, dynamic analysis of charged fly ash particles aimed at determining the key factors and separation experiments to improve decarbonization efficiency had been carried out Variables of electrode plate voltage and corrected wind speed are the key factors which affect the decarbonization efficiency on the separation of fly ash, The results of separation experiments show that:(1) With the plate voltage increasing, the efficiency of decarbonization continuously rises and in its selected range, the optimal voltage level is 45 KV;(2) The corrected wind speed can impact the efficiency of decarbonization significantly: with the speed increasing, the efficiency of decarbonization shows a trend of first decline, then increase and decrease again, and in its selected range, the optimal speed is 2.0 m/s. 4Electrical properties of fly ash and its decarbonization by electrostatic separation显示文摘The basic principle of fly ash triboelectrification is analysed. The mineral electrical index and test method are introduced. The electric difference of different mineral composition of fly ash is discussed by analysis of chemical and mineral composition of fly ash in Xinwen power plant. The dielectric constant and charge–mass ratio of carbon and ash of fly ash are tested. Combined with the experimental study on rotary triboelectrostatic separation, the charged characteristic of fly ash particles with different size is gained. The results show that the dielectric constant of fly ash with different grain size decreased with the decrease of particle size, which lead to the poor electrical conductivity. Thus it can be seen that particle size plays a leading role in conductivity. The charge of carbon and ash with each size increased with the decreased of particle size; and the charge–mass ratio between carbon and ash with the same size larger with the decrease of size, which indicated that the finer particle size, the more favorable for triboelectrification separation. 6A genome-wide analysis of SWEET gene family in cotton and their expressions under different stresses显示文摘Background: The SWEET(Sugars will eventually be exported transporters) gene family plays multiple roles in plant physiological activities and development process. It participates in reproductive development and in the process of sugar transport and absorption, plant senescence and stress responses and plant-pathogen interaction. However,thecomprehensive analysis of SWEET genes has not been reported in cotton.Results: In this study, we identified 22, 31, 55 and 60 SWEET genes from the sequenced genomes of Gossypium arboreum, G. raimondii, G. hirsutum and G. barbadense, respectively. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the SWEET genes could be divided into four groups, which were further classified into 14 sub-clades. Further analysis of chromosomal location, synteny analysis and gene duplication suggested that the orthologs showed a good collinearity and segmental duplication events played a crucial role in the expansion of the family in cotton. Specific MtN3_slv domains were highly conserved between Arobidopsis and cotton by exon-intron organization and motif analysis. In addition, the expression pattern in different tissues indicated that the duplicated genes in cotton might have acquired new functions as a result of sub-functionalization or neo-funtionalization. The expression pattern of SWEET genes showed that the different genes were induced by diverse stresses. The identification and functional analysis of SWEET genes in cotton may provide more candidate genes for genetic modification.Conclusion: SWEET genes were classified into four clades in cotton. The expression patterns suggested that the duplicated genes might have experienced a functional divergence. 7Evolutionary trace analysis of eukaryotic DNA topoisomerase I superfamily: Identification of novel antitumor drug binding site显示文摘The studies of novel inhibitors of DNA topoisomerase I (Topo I) have already be-come very promising in cancer chemotherapy. Identifying the new drug-binding residues is playing an important role in the design and optimization of Topo I inhibitors. The designed com-pounds may have novel scaffolds, thus will be helpful to overcome the toxicities of current camptothecin (CPT) drugs and may provide a solution to cross resistance with these drugs. Mul-tiple sequence alignments were performed on eukaryotic DNA topoisomerase I superfamily and thus the evolutionary tree was constructed. The Evolutionary Trace method was applied to iden-tify functionally important residues of human Topo I. It has been demonstrated that class-specific hydrophobic residues Ala351, Met428, Pro431 are located around the 7,9-position of CPT, indi-cating suitable substitution of hydrophobic group on CPT will increase antitumor activity. The conservative residue Lys436 in the superfamily is of particular interest and new CPT derivatives designed based on this residue may greatly increase water solubility of such drugs. It has also been demonstrated that the residues Asn352 and Arg364 were conservative in the superfamily, whose mutation will render CPT resistance. As our molecular docking studies demonstrated they did not make any direct interaction with CPT, they are important drug-binding site residues for future design of novel non-camptothecin lead compounds. 8On the role of the tricarboxylic acid cycle in plant productivity显示文摘The tricarboxylic acid(TCA) cycle is one of the canonical energy pathways of living systems, as well as being an example of a pathway in which dynamic enzyme assemblies, or metabolons, are well characterized. The role of the enzymes have been the subject of saturated transgenesis approaches, whereby the expression of the constituent enzymes were reduced or knocked out in order to ascertain their in vivo function.Some of the resultant plants exhibited improved photosynthesis and plant growth, under controlled greenhouse conditions. In addition, overexpression of the endogenous genes, or heterologous forms of a number of the enzymes, has been carried out in tomato fruit and the roots of a range of species, and in some instances improvement in fruit yield and postharvest properties and plant performance, under nutrient limitation, have been reported, respectively. Given a number of variants, in nature, we discuss possible synthetic approaches involving introducing these variants, or at least a subset of them, into plants. 9Methylation of RAR-β2, RASSF1A, and CDKN2A Genes Induced by Nickel Subsulfide and Nickel-carcinogenesis in Rats显示文摘Objective To investigate the expression variation of RAR‐β2, RASSF1A, and CDKN2A gene in the process of nickel‐induced carcinogenesis. Methods Nickel subsulfide (Ni 3 S 2 ) at dose of 10 mg was given to Wistar rats by intramuscular injection. The mRNA expression of the three genes in induced tumors and their lung metastasis were examined by Real‐time PCR. The methylation status of the 5' region of these genes were detected by Quantitative Real‐time methylation specific PCR. Results The mRNA expressions of the three genes both in muscle and lung tumor were decreased distinctly in comparison with normal tissue. But hypermethylation was found only in muscle tumor. 11Image of Landscapes in Ancient Water Towns——Case Study on Zhouzhuang and Tongli of Jiangsu Province显示文摘Researchers in several disciplines and fields agree that the image establishing has both perceptual and affec-tive evaluations.The paper comparatively analyzes the image of landscapes in ancient water towns held by 1619 tourists after the investigations of Zhouzhuang and Tongli of Jiangsu Province.Based on the elements of the image of urban landscapes,the perceptual/cognitive image of tourist landscapes in water towns is developed including path,node,landmark,important courtyard,district and edge.Particularly the important courtyard plays the great role on the per-ceptive image of tourists,however,the perceptual/cognitive images of the district and the edge are obviously weak.Meanwhile,the finding showed that the affective images of tourist landscapes in Zhouzhuang differ with those of Tongli by the method of paired comparison.The main reason is that the affective images are influenced by the impressive scenery spots.Furthermore,the commercialization of streets and pollution of rivers are easy to be functioned negatively.LI Yabing ZHANG Jie CHEN Youjun 2006Chinese Geographical Science2006,16,4:4
12Evaluation of stability and catalytic activity of Ni catalysts for hydrogen production by biomass gasification in supercritical water显示文摘Supercritical water gasification is a promising technology for wet biomass utilization.In this paper,Ni and other metal catalysts were synthesized by wet impregnation.The stability and catalytic activities of Ni catalysts were evaluated.Firstly,catalytic activities of Ni,Fe,Cu catalysts supported on MgO were tested using wheat straw as raw material in a batch reactor at 723 K and water density of 0.07 cm^(3)/g.Experimental results showed that the order of metal catalyst activity for hydrogen generation was Ni/MgO>Fe/MgO>Cu/MgO.Secondly,the influence of different supports on Ni catalysts performance was investigated.The results showed that the order of the Ni catalysts’activity with different supports was Ni/MgO>Ni/ZnO>Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)>Ni/ZrO_(2).Finally,the effects of Ni loading and the amount of Ni catalyst addition on hydrogen production,and the stability of Ni/MgO catalyst were studied.It was found that serious deactivation of Ni catalyst in the process of supercritical water gasification took place.Even if carbon deposited on the catalyst surface was removed by high temperature calcination and the catalyst was reduced with hydrogen,the activity of used catalyst was only partially restored.Youjun Lu Hui Jin Rui Zhang 2019Carbon Resources Conversion2019,2,1:4
13Study on device simulation and performance optimization of the epitaxial crystalline silicon thin film solar cell显示文摘Because crystalline silicon thin film(CSiTF) solar cells possess the advantages of crystalline silicon solar cells such as high efficiency and stable performance and those of thin film solar cells such as low cost and so on,it is regarded as the next generation solar cell technology,which is most likely to replace the existing crystalline silicon solar cell technology.In this paper,we performed device simulation on the epitaxial CSiTF solar cell by using PC1D software.In order to make simulation results closer to the actual situation,we adopted a more realistic device structure and parameters.On this basis,we comprehensively and systematically investigated the effect of physical parameters of back surface field(BSF) layer,base and emitter,electrical quality of crystalline silicon active layer,situation of surface passivation,internal recombination and p-n junction leakage on the optoelectronic performance of the epitaxial CSiTF solar cell.Among various factors affecting the efficiency of the epitaxial CSiTF solar cell,we identified the three largest efficiency-affecting parameters.They are the base minority carrier diffusion length,the diode dark saturation current and the front surface recombination velocity in order.Through simulations,we found that the base is not the thicker the better,and the base minority carrier diffusion length must be taken into account when determining the optimal base thickness.When the base minority carrier diffusion length is smaller,the optimal base thickness should be less than or equal to the base minority carrier diffusion length;when the base minority carrier diffusion length is larger,the base minority carrier diffusion length should be at least twice the optimal base thickness.In addition,this paper not only illustrates the simulation results but also explains their changes from the aspect of physical mechanisms.Because epitaxial CSiTF solar cells possess a device structure that is similar to crystalline silicon solar cells,the conclusions drawn in this paper are also applied to crystalline silicon solar cells to a certain extent,particularly to thin silicon solar cells which are the hottest research topic at present.AI Bin ZHANG YongHui DENG YouJun SHEN Hui 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,11:4

16Influence of metal ions on sulfonamide antibiotics biochemical behavior in fiber coexisting system显示文摘Metal ions and fiber are common compounds in the livestock and poultry manure,which will affect the fate of organic compounds in aqueous environment. However,limited research has addressed the effect of coexisting metal ions and fiber on the biodegradation of sulfonamide antibiotics. Accordingly, a compositing study was performed to assess the effect of metal ions(Fe3+and Cu2+) on the biodegradation of sulfadimethoxine sodium salt(SDM) in the presence of fiber. The enhanced adsorption of SDM onto fiber in the presence of metal ions can be attributed to the π+–π electron donor acceptor(EDA) interaction. The microbial(Phanerochaete chrysosprium) could easily attach onto fiber forming attached microbial, and the degradation rates of SDM of immobilized bacteria in the presence of Fe3 +were 100%, which were significantly higher than those of free bacteria(45%). This study indicates that Fe3 +and fiber could enhance the biodegradation of SDM. 17A computational particle fluid-dynamics simulation of hydrodynamics in a three-dimensional full-loop circulating fluidized bed: Effects of particle-size distribution显示文摘A computational particle fluid-dynamics model coupled with an energy-minimization multi-scale(EMMS)drag model was applied to investigate the influence of particle-size distribution on the hydrodynamics of a three-dimensional full-loop circulating fluidized bed.Different particle systems,including one monodisperse and two polydisperse cases,were investigated.The numerical model was validated by comparing its results with the experimental axial voidage distribution and solid mass flux.The EMMS drag model had a high accuracy in the computational particle fluid-dynamics simulation of the three-dimensional full-loop circulating fluidized bed.The total number of parcels in the system(Np)influenced the axial voidage distribution in the riser,especially at the lower part of the riser.Additional numerical simulation results showed that axial segregation by size was predicted in the two polydisperse cases and the segregation size increased with an increase in the number of size classes.The axial voidage distribution at the lower portion of the riser was significantly influenced by particle-size distribution.However,radial segregation could only be correctly predicted in the upper region of the riser in the polydisperse case of three solid species.Hang Zhang Youjun Lu 2020Particuology2020,18,2:3

19RNA interference-mediated silencing of vATPase subunits A and E affect survival and development of the 28-spotted ladybeetle,Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata显示文摘RNA interference(RNAi)has emerged as a powerful tool for developing novel management strategies for controlling insect pests.The 28-spotted ladybeetle,Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata is one of the most important pests attacking solanaceous plants in Asia.In this study,the potential of dietary RNAi to manage H.vigintioctopunctata was investigated using both in vitro synthesized and bacterially expressed double-stranded RNAs(dsRNAs)of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E.The expression levels of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E were higher in Malpighian tubules than in other tissue types.The silencing of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E led to significant mortality in H.vigintioctopunctata larvae.In addition,the ingestion of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E significantly deterred feeding behavior and subsequently arrested the development of H.vigintioctopunctata.Notably,the bacterially expressed dsRNAs consistently caused higher mortality in larvae and adults.Finally,the nontarget effects of the dsRNAs of H.vigintioctopunctata on the predatory ladybeetle Propylaea japonica were evaluated.P.japonica 1st instar larvae were administered vATPase A and vATPase E dsRNAs from H.vigintioctopunctata and P.japonica under the worst-case scenario,in which dsGFP served as negative control.There were significant effects of dsHvvATPase A on P.japonica at the transcriptional level but not at the organismal level,whereas dsHvvATPase E did not effect P.japonica at either the transcriptional or the organismal level.Collectively,the results of the study suggest that HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E can act as novel molecular targets for the control of H.vigintioctopunctata.Wei Guo Mujuan Guo Chunxiao Yang Zhuoqi Liu Shimin Chen Jing Lu Baoli Qiu Youjun Zhang Xuguo Zhou Huipeng Pan 2021Insect Science2021,28,6:3
20Spatial heterogeneity of soil water content in the reversion process of desertification in arid areas显示文摘Sandy soils in arid,rain-fed environments have low and limited water content,which is a principal factor limiting vegetation development,and a key constraint controlling the structure and functions of the ecological systems in arid areas.The spatial heterogeneity of soil water content is a major soil property,and a focus of soil science and hydrology.On the southern edge of the Tengger Desert,sample plots were selected from mobile sand dunes in desertified lands that had been enclosed for 5,15 and 25 years,respectively.This study explored the dynamic and spatial heterogeneity of soil water content in these different layers of soil that were also in the reversion process of desertification.The results showed that the soil water content of the mobile sand dunes was highest when in the initial stages of the reversion process of desertification,while the soil water content in the 0-20 cm,20-40 cm and 40-60 cm layers of soil was 1.769%,3.011%,and 2.967% respectively,presenting a restoring tendency after 25 years of enclosure.There were significant differences,as a whole,in the soil water content among different restoration stages and different soil layers,respectively.Changes in soil water content,in different soil layers,at different restoration stages,exhibited exponential or spherical patterns.The spatial distribution of soil water content exhibited a mosaic patch pattern with obvious spatial heterogeneity.The ratio of the heterogeneity of spatial autocorrelation to gross spatial heterogeneity was greater than 50%.The gross spatial heterogeneity of the 0-20 cm layer of soil improved gradually,while those of the 20-40 cm and 40-60 cm layers improved initially,then weakened in the reversion process of desertification.This study revealed that restoration with sand-binding vegetation reduced soil water content,and increased its spatial heterogeneity in arid areas.However,after 25 years of vegetation-soil system restoration,the soil water content started to increase and its spatial heterogeneity started to weaken.These results will further benefit the understanding of the ecological mechanism between soil water and sand-binding vegetation.QuanLin MA Fang CHENG YouJun LIU FangLin Wang DeKuai ZHANG HuJia JIN 2011Journal of Arid Land2011,3,4:2
