1Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. 3Clinicopathological analysis of metaplastic meningioma: report of 15 cases in Huashan Hospital显示文摘Objective: Metaplastic meningioma is a rare subtype of benign meningiomas, classified as WHO grade I with well prognosis. Here we presented our experiences on 15 cases of metaplastic meningioma, to investigate the clinicopathological features, therapies and prognosis of these cases. Methods: 15 patients underwent surgical treatment for intracranial metaplastic meningioma between 2001 and 2010 at Neurosurgery Department of Huashan Hospital, Shanghai, China. The clinical data, radiological manifestation, treatment strategy, pathological findings and prognosis of all patients were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Among the 15 cases (10 males and 5 females), the age ranged from 22 to 74 years old (the mean age was 50.67-year old). The clinical manifestations include headache, dizziness, seizure attack, vision decrease, and weakness of bilateral lower limbs. All the patients received surgical treatment, combined with radiotherapy in some cases. In the follow-up period, recurrence occurred in 2 cases, of which 1 patient died of other system complications. Conclusions: Metaplastic meningiomas are characterized by focal or widespread mesenchymal differentiation with formation of bone, cartilage, fat, and xanthomatous tissue elements. Surgical removal is the optimal therapy, and the overall prognosis is well. 5Ore-forming and Exploration Models of the Baguamiao Gold Deposit,Shaanxi Province显示文摘The Baguamiao superlarge gold deposit in Shaanxi Province is one of the typical cases in China that are hosted by sedimentary rocks. Explorers and researchers have discussed the gold mineralization enrichment conditions by studying sulphur, oxygen, carbon, silicon stable isotopes and mineralizing fluid features of the Baguamiao gold deposit and proposed a hydrothermal sedimentation-magmatic reconstructing gold mineralization model featuring multi-sources of ore-forming materials and multistage mineralizations. 6H.sinensis mycelium inhibits epithelial–mesenchymal transition by inactivating the midkine pathway in pulmonary fibrosis显示文摘The medical fungus Hirsutella sinensis has been used as a Chinese folk health supplement because of its immunomodulatory properties.Our previous studies established the antifibrotic action of Hirsutella sinensis mycelium(HSM)in the lung.The epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)is involved in the pathogenesis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.The present study investigates the role of HSM in mediating EMT during the development of pulmonary fibrosis.HSM significantly inhibits bleomycin(BLM)-induced pulmonary fibrosis by blocking the EMT.In addition,the expression levels of midkine are increased in the lungs of the BLM-induced group.Further analysis of the results indicates that the mRNA level of midkine correlated positively with EMT.HSM markedly abrogates the transforming growth factorβ-induced EMT-like phenotype and behavior in vitro.The activation of midkine related signaling pathway is ameliorated following HSM treatment,whereas this extract also caused an effective attenuation of the induction of EMT(caused by midkine overexpression)in vitro.Results further confirm that oral medication of HSM disrupted the midkine pathway in vivo.Overall,findings suggest that the midkine pathway and the regulation of the EMT may be considered novel candidate therapeutic targets for the antifibrotic effects caused by HSM.Li Lu Haiyan Zhu Hailin Wang Huaping Liang Yayi Hou Huan Dou 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,2:3

8Intraoperative ultrasound assistance in resection of intracranial meningiomas显示文摘Objective: Intracranial meningiomas, especially those located at anterior and middle skull base, are difficult to be completely resected due to their complicated anatomy structures and adjacent vessels. It's essential to locate the tumor and its vessels precisely during operation to reduce the risk of neurological deficits. The purpose of this study was to evaluate intraoperative ultrasonography in displaying intracranial meningioma and its surrounding arteries, and evaluate its potential to improve surgical precision and minimize surgical trauma. Methods: Between December 2011 and January 2013, 20 patients with anterior and middle skull base meningioma underwent surgery with the assistance of intraoperative ultrasonography in the Neurosurgery Department of Shanghai Huashan Hospital. There were 7 male and 13 female patients, aged from 31 to 66 years old. Their sonographic features were analyzed and the advantages of intraoperative ultrasonography were discussed. Results: The border of the meningioma and its adjacent vessels could be exhibited on intraoperative ultrasonography. The sonographic visualization allowed the neurosurgeon to choose an appropriate approach before the operation. In addition, intraoperative ultrasonography could inform neurosurgeons about the location of the tumor, its relation to the surrounding arteries during the operation, thus these essential arteries could be protected carefully. Conclusions: Intraoperative ultrasonography is a useful intraoperative technique. 9Petrogenesis of Kejie Granite in the Northern Changning-Menglian Zone, Western Yunnan: Constraints from Zircon U-Pb Geochronology, Geochemistry and Hf Isotope显示文摘The Kejie pluton is located in the north of the Changning-Menglian suture zone. The rock types are mainly biotite-granite. Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating indicates that the Kejie pluton emplaced at about 80–77 Ma, Late Cretaceous. The Kejie pluton samples are characterized by high SiO2(71.68%–72.47%), K2O(4.73%–5.54%), total alkali(K2O + Na2O = 8.21%–8.53%), K2O/Na2O ratios(1.36–1.94) and low P2O5(0.13%–0.17%), with A/CNK of 1.025–1.055; enriched in U, Th, and K, depleted in Ba, Nb, Sr, Ti, P and Eu. They are highly fractionated, slightly peraluminous I-type granite. The two samples of the Kejie pluton give a large variation of εHf(t) values(-5.04 to 1.96) and Hf isotope crustal model ages of 1.16–1.5 Ga. Zircon Hf isotopes and zircon saturation temperatures of whole-rock(801°C–823°C) show that the mantle-derived materials maybe have played a vital role in the generation of the Kejie pluton. 11Analysis on Dynamic Characteristics in Time Domain of Slider with Ultra Thin Spacing显示文摘With increasing recording density in computer hard disks,the flying height of the magnetic head becomes 10 nm or less.The numerical method of the control equations needs to be optimized consistently with the decrease of the flying height.The iterative process is usually divergent with traditional methods which cannot ensure the accuracy of the analysis results and the stability of numerical calculations.Firstly,a new scheme is presented to solve the ultra-thin lubricating control equations in this paper.The equilibrium equation is obtained by taking the Couette flow terms and time term as dominating terms in iterative process.Moreover,the weighting flow factor is introduced for the abrupt change of film thickness in order to reduce calculated deviation.Secondly,the rules for variation of flying pose of the magnetic head with time are obtained by the time domain analysis.The results show that the magnetic head can recover to the equilibrium position after being slightly influenced by outside disturbance.And the dynamic lubrication properties of the head suffer heavily from the vibrations in the height direction and fluctuation in the pitch direction.Finally,the analysis of the sine roughness-passing capacity of the head indicates that the head can surpass small sine waves and the equilibrium position can be retrieved after a period of decaying oscillation.The proposed research ensures the accuracy and stability of the numerical calculation of the control equations,and the dynamic characteristics and flying stability of a magnetic head is studied systematically.It can also be the theoretical basis for the analysis of the flight characteristics of the slider.YAO Huaping HUANG Ping CHEN Yangzhi ZHU Lixue 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,3:2

15Robust Estimation for Poisson Integer-Valued GARCH Models Using a New Hybrid Loss显示文摘The Poisson integer-valued GARCH model is a popular tool in modeling time series of counts.The commonly used maximum likelihood estimator is strongly influenced by outliers,so there is a need to develop a robust M-estimator for this model.This paper has three aims.First,the authors propose a new loss function,which is a hybrid of the tri-weight loss for relatively small errors and the exponential squared loss for relatively large ones.Second,Mallows’quasi-likelihood estimator(MQLE)is proposed as an M-estimator and its existence,uniqueness,consistency and asymptotic normality are established.In addition,a data-adaptive algorithm for computing MQLE is given based on a datadriven selection of tuning parameters in the loss function.Third,simulation studies and analysis of a real example are conducted to illustrate the performance of the new estimator,and a comparison with existing estimators is made.LI Qi CHEN Huaping ZHU Fukang 2021Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2021,34,4:1

18Electroencephalogram evidence for mirror neuron activity during the observation of drawn hand motion显示文摘The present study used electroencephalography to examine mu rhythm suppression (a putative index of human mirror neuron system activation) at frontal sites (F3, Fz and F4), central sites (C3, Cz and C4), parietal sites (P3, Pz and P4) and occipital sites (O1 and O2), while subjects observed real hand motion (real hand motion condition) and illustrative depictions of hand motion (drawn hand motion condition). Experimental data revealed that mu rhythm suppression was exhibited in the mirror neuron system when subjects observed both real and drawn hand motion. Moreover, the mu rhythm recorded at the F3, Fz, F4, and Pz poles was significantly suppressed while observing both stimulus types, but no obvious mu suppression occurred at the O1, O2 and O3 poles. These results suggest that the observation of drawings of human hand actions can activate the human mirror neuron system.
