| 1 | A miniature liquid helium temperature JT cryocooler for space application显示文摘Along with the development of space science and technology,miniature liquid helium temperature long life cryocooler is a focus subject in cryogenic study.Since it is the precondition of space detection researches,institutions of space in many countries do the research on it.In this article,we designed a compound cooling system.A three-stage high frequency thermal coupled pulse tube cryocooler was used to precool a Joule-Thomson(JT)cryocooler.This system has no moving parts at low temperatures and is hence suitable for space operation.Liquid helium temperature was successfully achieved in both open loop and closed cycle experiments.In the closed cycle experiment,when 473 W electric power was inputted,the cooling system reached a no-load temperature of 4.4 K,and a cooling capacity of 11.6 mW was provided at 4.54 K.It is the first miniature liquid helium temperature JT cryocooler in China and the research achievement paves a way for the space application of ultra-long wave infrared detection and THz technologies. | QUAN Jia ZHOU ZhenJun LIU YanJie LI JianGuo MA YueXue LIANG JingTao | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11: | 16 |
| 2 | Apoptosis in glioma-bearing rats after neural stem cell transplantation显示文摘Abnormal activation of the Ras/Raf/Mek/Erk signaling cascade plays an important role in glioma. Inhibition of this aberrant activity could effectively hinder glioma cell proliferation and promote cell apoptosis. To investigate the mechanism of glioblastoma treatment by neural stem cell transplantation with respect to the Ras/Raf/Mek/Erk pathway, C6 glioma cells were prepared in suspension and then infused into the rat brain to establish a glioblastoma model. Neural stem cells isolated from fetal rats were then injected into the brain of this glioblastoma model. Results showed that Raf-1, Erk and Bcl-2 protein expression significantly increased, while Caspase-3 protein expression decreased. After transplantation of neural stem cells, Raf-1, Erk and Bcl-2 protein expression significantly decreased, while Caspase-3 protein expression significantly increased. | 3 | Composition and Distributions of Nitrogen and Phosphorus and Assessment of Eutrophication Status in the Maowei Sea显示文摘Maowei Sea(MWS) is the largest oyster maricuture bay in Southwest China. Surface water from 12 sampling sites were collected during the dry season to study the composition and distribution of different forms of nitrogen(N) and phosphorus(P) beginning from the inner bay to the bay mouth in the MWS. An improved multi-parameter eutrophication index was developed and applied for the evaluation of the water quality in the MWS. Dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN), dissolved organic nitrogen(DON), and particulate nitrogen(PN) averagely accounted for 11.28%, 65.32%, and 23.39% of total N(TN) pool, dissolved inorganic phosphorus(DIP), dissolved organic phosphorus(DOP), and particulate phosphorus(PP) averagely accounted for 54.58%, 30.31%, and 15.12% of total P(TP) pool, respectively. DON and DIP were respectively the dominant forms of N and P in surface water of the MWS, during the study period. Concentration trends of DIN, DIP, DOP, PN, dissolved silicate(DSi), total organic carbon(TOC), chemical oxygen demand(COD) decreased from the inner bay to the bay mouth, suggesting that the MWS may be largely influenced by land-based inputs. Based on nutrient contents and stoichiometry, it likely that phytoplankton growth in the MWS is strongly limited by DIP during the dry season. Results from the improved eutrophication index revealed that the water quality in the MWS is in a state of moderate to poor eutrophication(average EI = 0.953). The eutrophication state decreased from the inner bay to the bay mouth. | 6 | Development of a Widely Applicable and Simple Prognostic Score for Patients with Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure显示文摘Background and Aims:Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)tends to progress rapidly with high short-term mortality.We aimed to create a widely applicable,simple prognostic(WASP)score for ACLF patients.Methods:A retrospective cohort of ACLF cases recruited from three centers in China were divided into training and validation sets to develop the new score.A prospective longitudinal cohort was recruited for further validation.Results:A total of 541 cases were included in the training set,and seven independent ACLF prognostic factors were screened to construct a new quantitative WASP-ACLF table.In the validation set of 671 cases,WASP-ACLF showed better predictive ability for 28-day and 90-day mortality than the currently used prognostic scores at baseline,day 3,week 1,and week 2.The predictive efficacy and clinical validity of the model improved over time.Patients were assigned to low-,intermediate-,and high-risk groups by their WASP-ACLF scores.Compared with the other two groups,intermediate-risk patients had a more uncertain prognosis,with a 90-day mortality of 44.4–50.6%.Sequential assessments at weeks 1 and 2 found the 90-day mortality of intermediate-risk groups was<20%forpatients with a≥2 point decrease in WASP-ACLF and was up to 56%for patients with a≥2 points increase.Similar results were observed in prospective data.Conclusions:The new ACLF prognostic score was simple,widely applicable,and had good predictive efficacy.Continuous assessments and trend of change in WASP-ACLF need to be considered,especially for intermediate-risk patients. | Zhenjun Yu Yu Zhang Yuhan Li Feng Zhou Manman Xu Shaoli You Yu Chen Bing Zhu Ming Kong Fangjiao Song Shaojie Xin Zhongping Duan Tao Han China Network for Severe Liver Diseases | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,5: | 1 |
| 7 | Public health implications of Yersinia enterocolitica investigation:an ecological modeling and molecular epidemiology study显示文摘Background Yersinia enterocolitica has been sporadically recovered from animals,foods,and human clinical samples in various regions of Ningxia,China.However,the ecological and molecular characteristics of Y.enterocolitica,as well as public health concerns about infection in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,remain unclear.This study aims to analyze the ecological and molecular epidemiological characteristics of Y.enterocolitis in order to inform the public health intervention strategies for the contains of related diseases.Methods A total of 270 samples were collected for isolation[animals(n=208),food(n=49),and patients(n=13)],then suspect colonies were isolated and identified by the API20E biochemical identification system,serological tests,biotyping tests,and 16S rRNA-PCR.Then,we used an ecological epidemiological approach combined with machine learning algorithms(general linear model,random forest model,and eXtreme Gradient Boosting)to explore the associations between ecological factors and the pathogenicity of Y.enterocolitis.Furthermore,average nucleotide identity(ANI)estimation,single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP),and core gene multilocus sequence typing(cgMLST)were applied to characterize the molecular profile of isolates based on whole genome sequencing.The statistical test used single-factor analysis,Chi-square tests,t-tests/ANOVA-tests,Wilcoxon rank-sum tests,and Kruskal–Wallis tests.Results A total of 270 isolates of Yersinia were identified from poultry and livestock(n=191),food(n=49),diarrhoea patients(n=13),rats(n=15),and hamsters(n=2).The detection rates of samples from different hosts were statistically different(χ^(2)=22.636,P<0.001).According to the relatedness clustering results,270 isolates were divided into 12 species,and Y.enterocolitica(n=187)is a predominated species.Pathogenic isolates made up 52.4%(98/187),while non-pathogenic isolates made up 47.6%(89/187).Temperature and precipitation were strongly associated with the pathogenicity of the isolates(P<0.001).The random forest(RF)prediction model showed the best performance.The prediction result shows a high risk of pathogenicity Y.enterocolitica was located in the northern,northwestern,and southern of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.The Y.enterocolitica isolates were classified into 54 sequence types(STs)and 125 cgMLST types(CTs),with 4/O:3 being the dominant bioserotype in Ningxia.The dominant STs and dominant CTs of pathogenic isolates in Ningxia were ST429 and HC100_2571,respectively.Conclusions The data indicated geographical variations in the distribution of STs and CTs of Y.enterocolitica isolates in Ningxia.Our work offered the first evidence that the pathogenicity of isolates was directly related to fluctuations in temperature and precipitation of the environment.CgMLST typing strategies showed that the isolates were transmitted to the population via pigs and food.Therefore,strengthening health surveillance on pig farms in high-risk areas and focusing on testing food of pig origin are optional strategies to prevent disease outbreaks. | Yuan Yue Jinxin Zheng Mei Sheng Xiang Liu Qiong Hao Shunxian Zhang Shuai Xu Zhiguo Liu Xuexin Hou Huaiqi Jing Yang Liu Xuezhang Zhou Zhenjun Li | 2023 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2023,12,2: | 1 |

| 9 | LncRNA-Airn alleviates acute liver injury by inhibiting hepatocyte apoptosis via the NF-κB signaling pathway显示文摘Acute liver injury is a common and serious syndrome caused by multiple factors and unclear pathogenesis.If the injury persists,liver injury can lead to cirrhosis and liver failure and ultimately results in the development of liver cancer.Emerging evidence has indicated that long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)play an important role in the development of liver injury.However,the role of antisense Igf2r RNA(Airn)in acute liver injury and its underlying mechanism remain largely unclear.In this study,we show that Airn is upregulated in liver tissue and primary hepatocytes from an acute liver injury mouse model.Consistently,Airn is also overexpressed in serum samples of patients with acute-on-chronic liver failure and is negatively correlated with the Model for End-Stage Liver Disease(MELD)score.Moreover,gene knockout and rescue assays reveal that Airn alleviates CCl_(4)-induced liver injury by inhibiting hepatocyte apoptosis and oxidative stress in vivo.Further investigation reveals that Airn decreases H_(2)O_(2)-induced hepatocyte apoptosis in vitro.Mechanistically,we reveal that Airn represses CCl_(4)-and H_(2)O_(2)-induced enhancement of phosphorylation of p65 and IκBα,suggesting that Airn inhibits hepatocyte apoptosis by inactivating the NF-κB pathway.In conclusion,our results demonstrate that Airn can alleviate acute liver injury by inhibiting hepatocyte apoptosis via inactivating the NF-κB signaling pathway,and Airn could be a potential biomarker for acute liver injury. | Shuai Shao Yu Zhang Feng Zhou Xiaoxiang Meng Zhenjun Yu Guantong Li Lina Zheng Kun Zhang Yuhan Li Beichen Guo Qi Liu Mengxia Zhang Xiaoxiao Du Wei Hong Tao Han | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,11: | 1 |
| 10 | Distribution Patterns of Synechococcus Indicated Their Environmental Constraints and Related Geochemical Processes in the Yellow Sea显示文摘Synechococcus is a widely distributed photosynthetic pico-phytoplankton,which contributes mainly to carbon fixation and maintains the stability of the marine ecosystem.To investigate its distribution patterns in the Yellow Sea,seawater samples were collected during September 2018.Results of flow cytometry analysis showed that the Synechococcus abundance ranged from 6.36×10^(2) to 4.51×10^(4) cells mL^(−1),which correlated with salinity(P<0.01)and temperature(P<0.05).At deeper off-shore sites,Synecho-coccus showed high abundance at the subsurface thermo-halocline,which was in accordance with chlorophyll a(Chl a)content along the vertical column.Based on the high-throughput sequencing data of rpoC1(partial gene encoding RNA polymerase),two Synechococcus subclusters,S5.1 and S5.2,were found to coexist in the studied area.Several clades of S5.1,including Clades I,II,and III,were the dominant components,accounting for 6.63%,26.11%,and 45.5%of the total genus,respectively.Redundancy analysis(RDA)showed that nitrite was the main environmental factor that explained the genus composition among samples.Fur-thermore,co-occurrence network revealed that the main phyla that coexisted with Synechococcus were Proteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Actinobacteria,Planctomycetes,and Verrucomicrobia,which were involved in the carbon(C),nitrogen(N),sulfur(S),and manga-nese(Mn)cycles.Overall,Synechococcus exhibited biogeographic distribution correlated with temperature-salinity and nitrite in the Yellow Sea,and their geochemical function showed diverse but should be further verified in the future. | ZHOU Yuting WANG Ting CHEN Xi QIN Song ZHAO Zhenjun GUO Xinyi LI Jialin | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,2: | 0 |

| 14 | Photoelectron balance in the dayside Martian upper atmosphere显示文摘Photoelectrons are produced by solar Extreme Ultraviolet radiation and contribute significantly to the local ionization and heat balances in planetary upper atmospheres.When the effect of transport is negligible,the photoelectron energy distribution is controlled by a balance between local production and loss,a condition usually referred to as local energy degradation.In this study,we examine such a condition for photoelectrons near Mars,with the aid of a multi-instrument Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution data set gathered over the inbound portions of a representative dayside MAVEN orbit.Various photoelectron production and loss processes considered here include primary and secondary ionization,inelastic collisions with atmospheric neutrals associated with both excitation and ionization,as well as Coulomb collisions with ionospheric thermal electrons.Our calculations indicate that photoelectron production occurs mainly via primary ionization and degradation from higher energy states during inelastic collisions;photoelectron loss appears to occur almost exclusively via degradation towards lower energy states via inelastic collisions above 10 eV,but the effect of Coulomb collisions becomes important at lower energies.Over the energy range of 30–55 eV(chosen to reduce the influence of the uncertainty in spacecraft charging),we find that the condition of local energy degradation is very well satisfied for dayside photoelectrons from 160 to 250 km.No evidence of photoelectron transport is present over this energy range. | XiaoShu Wu Jun Cui Jiang Yu LiJuan Liu ZhenJun Zhou | 2019 | Earth and Planetary Physics2019,3,5: | 0 |
| 15 | Chemical diversity of scleractinian corals revealed by untargeted metabolomics and molecular networking显示文摘The chemical diversity of scleractinian corals is closely related to their physiological,ecological,and evolutionary status,and can be influenced by both genetic background and environmental variables.To investigate intraspecific variation in the metabolites of these corals,the metabolomes of four species(Pocillopora meandrina,Seriatopora hystrix,Acropora formosa,and Fungia fungites)from the South China Sea were analyzed using untargeted mass spectrometry-based metabolomics.The results showed that a variety of metabolites,including amino acids,peptides,lipids,and other small molecules,were differentially distributed among the four species,leading to their significant separation in principal component analysis and hierarchical clustering plots.The higher content of storage lipids in branching corals(P.meandrina,S.hystrix,and A.formosa)compared to the solitary coral(F.fungites)may be due to the high densities of zooxanthellae in their tissues.The high content of aromatic amino acids in P.meandrina may help the coral protect against ultraviolet damage and promote growth in shallow seawater,while nitrogen-rich compounds may enable S.hystrix to survive in various challenging environments.The metabolites enriched in F.fungites,including amino acids,dipeptides,phospholipids,and other small molecules,may be related to the composition of the coral's mucus and its life-history,such as its ability to move freely and live solitarily.Studying the chemical diversity of scleractinian corals not only provides insight into their environmental adaptation,but also holds potential for the chemotaxonomy of corals and the discovery of novel bioactive natural products. | Jiying Pei Yuxia Zhou Shiguo Chen Kefu Yu Zhenjun Qin Ruijie Zhang Yitong Wang | 2023 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,11: | 0 |
