1Ammonia volatilization from a Chinese cabbage field under different nitrogen treatments in the Taihu Lake Basin, China显示文摘Ammonia(NH_3) volatilization is a major pathway of nitrogen(N) loss from soil-crop systems.As vegetable cultivation is one of the most important agricultural land uses worldwide,a deeper understanding of NH_3 volatilization is necessary in vegetable production systems.We therefore conducted a 3-year(2010–2012) field experiment to characterize NH_3 volatilization and evaluate the effect of different N fertilizer treatments on this process during the growth period of Chinese cabbage.Ammonia volatilization rate,rainfall,soil water content,p H,and soil NH_4^+were measured during the growth period.The results showed that NH_3 volatilization was significantly and positively correlated to topsoil p H and NH4+concentration.Climate factors and fertilization method also significantly affected NH_3 volatilization.Specifically,organic fertilizer(OF) increased NH_3 volatilization by 11.77%–18.46%,compared to conventional fertilizer(CF,urea),while organic–inorganic compound fertilizer(OIF) reduced NH_3 volatilization by 8.82%–12.67% compared to CF.Furthermore,slow-release fertilizers had significantly positive effects on controlling NH_3 volatilization,with a 60.73%–68.80% reduction for sulfur-coated urea(SCU),a 71.85%–78.97% reduction for biological Carbon Power~® urea(BCU),and a 77.66%–83.12% reduction for bulk-blend controlled-release fertilizer(BBCRF)relative to CF.This study provides much needed baseline information,which will help in fertilizer choice and management practices to reduce NH_3 volatilization and encourage the development of new strategies for vegetable planting.Linan Shan Yunfeng He Jie Chen Qian Huang Hongcai Wang 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,12:28

3Porous bowl-shaped VS2 nanosheets/graphene composite for high-rate lithium-ion storage显示文摘Two-dimensional (2D) layered vanadium disulfide (VS2) is a promising anode material for lithium ion batteries (LIBs) due to the high theoretical capacity.However,it remains a challenge to synthesize monodispersed ultrathin VS2 nanosheets to realize the full potential.Herein,a novel solvothermal method has been developed to prepare the monodispersed bowl-shaped NH3-inserted VS2 nanosheets (VS2).The formation of such a unique structure is caused by the blocked growth of (001) or (002) crystal planes in combination with a ripening process driven by the thermodynamics.The annealing treatment in Ar/H2creates porous monodispersed VS2(H-VS2),which is subsequently integrated with graphene oxide to form porous monodispersed H-VS2/rGO composite coupled with a reduction process.As an anode material for LIBs,H-VS2/rGO delivers superior rate performance and longer cycle stability:a high average capacity of 868/525 mAh g^-1 at a current density of 1/10 A g^-1;a reversible capacity of 1177/889 mAh g^-1 after 150/500 cycles at 0.2/1 A g^-1.Such excellent electrochemical performance may be attributed to the increased active sites available for lithium storage,the alleviated volume variations and the shortened Li-ion diffusion induced from the porous structure with large specific surface area,as well as the protective effect from graphene nanosheets.Daxiong Wu Caiyun Wang Mingguang Wu Yunfeng Chao Pengbin He Jianmin Ma 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,4:11

7Assessing the effects of surface-bound humic acid on the phototoxicity of anatase and rutile TiO_2 nanoparticles in vitro显示文摘In this study,the cytotoxicity of two different crystal phases of TiO_2 nanoparticles,with surface modification by humic acid(HA),to Escherichia coli,was assessed.The physicochemical properties of TiO_2 nanoparticles were thoroughly characterized.Three different initial concentrations,namely 50,100,and 200 ppm,of HA were used for synthesis of HA coated TiO_2 nanoparticles(denoted as A/RHA50,A/RHA100,and A/RHA200,respectively).Results indicate that rutile(LC50(concentration that causes 50%mortality compared the control group)=6.5)was more toxic than anatase(LC_50=278.8)under simulated sunlight(SSL)irradiation,possibly due to an extremely narrow band gap.It is noted that HA coating increased the toxicity of anatase,but decreased that of rutile.Additionally,AHA50 and RHA50had the biggest differences compared to uncoated anatase and rutile with LC_50of 201.9 and21.6,respectively.We then investigated the formation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)by TiO_2 nanoparticles in terms of hydroxyl radicals(OH)and superoxide anions(O_2^-).Data suggested that O_2^- was the main ROS that accounted for the higher toxicity of rutile upon SSL irradiation.We also observed that HA coating decreased the generation of OH and O_2^- on rutile,but increased O_2^- formation on anatase.Results from TEM analysis also indicated that HA coated rutile tended to be attached to the surface of E.coli more than anatase.Xiaojia He Sabrieon Sanders Winfred G.Aker Yunfeng Lin Jessica Douglas Huey-min Hwang 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,4:6
8Characteristics of atmospheric aerosol optical depth variation over China in recent 30 years显示文摘This note retrieves the annual and monthly mean 0.75 urn aerosol optical depth (AOD) by using the daily direct solar radiation and sunshine duration data of 47 solar stations from 1961 to 1990. The characteristic of AOD variation over China in recent 30 years was analyzed. The results indicate that AOD increased obviously over China from 1961 to 1990. AOD increased most rapidly over the east part of Southwest China, the middle-and-lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the Tibetan Plateau. The increasing trend of AOD is also relatively distinct in North China, the Shandong Peninsula, east part of Qinghai Province, and coastal areas of Guangdong Province. However, in most parts of Northwest China and Northeast China, the increase of AOD is less significant, while in the west part of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and some parts of Yunnan Province, AOD shows decreasing tendency. Generally, AOD reaches its maximum in spring and the minimum appears in summer. 9Genetic analysis and molecular mapping of a novel gene for zebra mutation in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘A novel zebra mutant,zebra-15,derived from the restorer line Jinhui10(Oryza sativa L. ssp. indica) treated by EMS,displayed a distinctive zebra leaf from seedling stage to jointing stage. Its chlorophyll content decreased(55.4%) and the ratio of Chla/Chlb increased(90.2%) significantly in the yellow part of the zebra-15,compared with the wild type. Net photosynthetic rate and fluorescence kinetic parameters showed that the decrease of chlorophyll content significantly influenced the photosynthetic efficiency of the mutant. Genetic analysis of F2 segregation populations derived from the cross of Xinong1A and zebra-15 indicated that the zebra leaf trait is controlled by a single recessive nuclear gene. Ninety-eight out of four hundred and eighty pairs of SSR markers showed the diversity between the Xinong1A and the zebra-15,their F2 population was then used for gene mapping. Zebra-15(Z-15) gene was primarily restricted on the short arm of chromosome 5 by 150 F2 recessive individuals,19.6 cM from marker RM3322 and 6.0 cM from marker RM6082. 10Effectiveness and safety of Chinese herbal medicines for hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure:study protocol for a multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To conduct a multicenter randomized controlled trial of the efficacy of standardized Chinese herbal medicines(CHMs)against acuteon-chronic liver failure(ACLF)and provide reproducible and high-level evidence for clinical practice.METHODS:This is a prospective,multicenter,centrally randomized controlled trial.Patients diagnosed with hepatitis B virus-related ACLF(n=510)will be allocated to the standard medical therapy or CHM group at a 1∶1 ratio.Two CHMs will be used on the basis of the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome:Liangxue Jiedu granules for excess syndromes and Yiqi Jiedu granules for deficiency syndromes.The primary outcome is transplant-free survival at week 12.The secondary outcomes are(a)transplant-free survival at week 24,(b)liver function as assessed using the model for end-stage liver disease score at week 12,(c)liver function as assessed using the Child-Pugh score at week 12,and(d)the incidence of complications at week 12.DISCUSSION:The effectiveness and safety of CHM formulations will be assessed following treatment for ACLF.TRIAL REGISTRATION:The trial was registered at Clinical Trials.gov(NCT03577938)on June 24,2018.Zhang Ning Zhou Chao Wang Lifu He Tingting Wang Yao Wang Yan Bai Yunfeng Li Jun Xiao Xiaohe Gong Man 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:5
11Laboratory Evaluation for Utilization of Phosphogypsum through Carbide Slag Highly-Effective Activating Anhydrous Phosphogypsum显示文摘Carbide slag was used as an activator to improve the activity of anhydrous phosphogypsum.Carbide slag could greatly improve the mechanical strength of anhydrous phosphogypsum than K_(2)SO_(4).The compressive strength of 11 wt%carbide slag and 1 wt%K_(2)SO_(4)activated anhydrous phosphogypsum increased greatly to 8.6 MPa at 3 d,and 11.9 MPa at 7 d,and 16.0 MPa at 28 d,respectively.The rate of hydration heat was accelerated and the total hydration heat was increased,and more calcium sulfate dihydrate was formed and cross-linked with other parts which improved the compressive strength of anhydrous phosphogypsum under the effects of different activators.It was indicated that carbide slag was a highly effective and cost-efficient activator.The result provides a highly effective and low-cost method which results in a novel and high value-added method for the utilization of phosphogypsum in the future.陈顺 XIONG Guoqing 苏英 HE Xingyang XIE Yunxuan WANG Yunfeng GONG Minhua 2021Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2021,36,3:4
12U-Pb Zircon and Re-Os Molybdenite Geochronology of the W-Mo Mineralized Region of South Qinling, China, and their Tectonic Implications显示文摘A W-Mo mineralized region is located along the northern margin of the South Qinling tectonic belt of China. WMo mineralization occurs mainly in Cambrian–Ordovician clastic and carbonate rocks, and the ore bodies are structurally controlled by NW–SE-and NNE–SSW-striking faults. Evidence for magmatism in the area is widespread and is dominated by intermediate–felsic intrusives or apophyses, such as the Dongjiangkou, Yanzhiba, Lanbandeng, and Sihaiping granitic bodies. Quartz-vein-type mineralization and fault-controlled skarn-type mineralization dominate the ore systems, with additional enrichment in residual deposits. At present, there are few or insufficient studies on(1) the age of mineralization,(2) the relationship between intermediate–felsic granite and W-Mo mineralization,(3) the source of ore-forming materials, and(4) the metallogenic and tectonic setting of the mineralized area. In this paper, we present geochronology results for numerous intrusive granitic bodies in the South Qinling tectonic belt. U-Pb zircon geochronology of the Lanbandeng monzogranite and Wangjiaping biotite monzogranite yields ages of 222.7 ± 2.3 and 201.9 ± 1.8 Ma, respectively. In contrast to the Late Triassic age of the Lanbandeng monzogranite, the age of the newly discovered Wangjiaping biotite monzogranite places it at the Triassic–Jurassic boundary. Re-Os molybdenite geochronology on the Qipangou W-Mo deposit yielded a model age of 199.7 ± 3.9 Ma, indicating the deposit formed in the early Yanshanian period of the Early Jurassic. Granitoid intrusions in the mineralized area are characterized by composite granite bodies that crystallized at ca. 240–190 Ma. While there were multiple stages of intrusion, most occurred at 210–220 Ma, with waning magmatic activity at 200–190 Ma. The Re-Os age of molybdenite in the region is ca. 200–190 Ma, which may represent a newly discovered period of W-Mo metallogenesis that occurred during the final stages of magmatism. The heat associated with this magmatism drove ore formation and might have provided additional ore-forming components for metallogenesis(represented by the Wangjiaping biotite monzogranite). Ore materials in the mineralized area were derived from mixed crustal and mantle sources. Enrichment of the region occurred during intracontinental orogenesis in the late Indosinian–Yanshanian, subsequent to the main Indosinian collision. 13Rhubarb-based Chinese herbal formulae for hepatic encephalopa-thy:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of rhubarb-based Chinese herbal formulae(RCHF), which are widely used to treat hepatic encephalopathy(HE) in China.METHODS: Nine online databases were searched from inception to November 22, 2016. Eligible studies were randomized controlled trials of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) treatment for adult patients(≥ 18 years old) with HE. Outcomes such as mortality rate, clinical response rate, blood ammonia level, and alanine aminotransferase were evaluated between TCM group and control group.RESULTS: Thirty studies involving 2661 HE patients were analyzed. Most studies used RCHF treatment.Compared with conventional treatment as usual,lactulose, and vinegar, RCHF were associated with significant improvement in clinical response rate[risk ratio(RR) = 1.33, 95% confidence interval(CI) =1.25, 1.43, I2= 0%; RR = 1.26, 95% CI = 1.14, 1.38, I2=22%; and RR = 1.19, 95% CI = 1.06, 1.33, I2= 0%, respectively] and significant reductions in levels of blood ammonia and alanine aminotransferase. Only minor RCHF-associated adverse events, such as abdominal pain(0.3%), anal tenesmus(0.3%), and diarrhea(2.3%), were reported, and there were no significant differences in these events between the treatment group and the three types of control group.CONCLUSION: The findings suggest that RCHF may be an alternative treatment option for HE patients. 14Clinical characteristics of 96 patients with drug-induced acute liver failure:a comparison between Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To compare the causes, clinical symptoms, laboratory test results, and prognosis in patients with acute liver failure(ALF) induced by traditional Chinese medicines(TCM) and by Western Medicines(WM).METHODS: The medical histories of patients who were diagnosed with drug-induced ALF(DALF)(n =96) after hospitalization in the 302 Military Hospital between January 2010 and December 2015 were retrospectively examined.RESULTS: Fifty-eight of the 96 DALF patients(60.4%) had a hepatocellular pattern of DALF, 16 patients(16.7%) had a cholestatic pattern, and 22 patients(22.9%) had a mixed pattern. DALF resolved in 24 patients(25.0%). Twenty-five patients(26.0%)developed chronic liver injury, 43 patients(44.8%)died, and 4 patients(4.2%) underwent liver transplantation. There were 42 ALF patients(43.8%) who received WM, and 32 ALF patients(33.3%) who received TCM. TCM-induced ALF patients had a higher average age [42.4 ± 18.4) vs(33.5 ± 17.9) years,P = 0.04] and higher creatinine and urine nitrogen levels [(155.2 ± 108.8) vs(97.5 ± 130.4) mmol/L, P =0.047;(9.1 ± 7.7) vs(4.3 ± 5.0) mmol/L, P = 0.002, respectively]. Patients with TCM-induced ALF exhibited an increased risk of renal injury [odds ratio(OR),3.75; 95% confidence interval(CI), 1.330-10.577].The 14 patients with TCM-induced ALF who died exhibited higher creatinine levels than the 18 patients with TCM-induced ALF patients who survived[(218.7 ± 111.6) vs(105.8 ± 78.4) mmol/L, P =0.002]. 17Processes of small-scale tidal flat accretion and salt marsh changes on the plain coast of Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘Large-scaled reclamation modifies the coastal environment dramatically while accelerating the disappearance of salt marshes,which causes the degradation of the coastal ecosystem and the biodiversity function.In this study,we explored the changes of tidal flat and salt marsh coverage in a small-scale tidal flat with an area of ~160 000 m^2 in the plain coast of Jiangsu Province,China.Human activities(e.g.,the construction of dikes) are a crucial contributor that benefits for the tidal flat accretions and the following changes of salt marsh coverage.Located in the front of the man-made 'concave coastline',the study area is suitable for sediment accretion after the dike construction in the end of 2006.On the basis of the annual tidal surface elevation survey from 2007 to 2012,the sedimentation rates in the human influenced tidal flat varied from a few centimeters per year to 23 cm/a.The study area experienced a rapid accretion in the tidal flat and the expansion of the salt marsh,with the formation of a longshore bar,and a subsequent decline of the salt marsh.Breaking waves during the flooding tide brought much sediment from the adjacent tidal flat to the study area,which caused burial and degeneration of the salt marsh.The vertical grain size changes within a 66 cm long core in the study area also demonstrated the above changes in the tidal environment.This study indicates that the responses of small-scale tidal flat changes to reclamation are significant,and the rational reclamation would benefit for the new salt marsh formation in front of the dikes.Further research about the evolution of small scale tidal flat as well as the spatial planning of the polder dike should be strengthened for the purpose to maintain a healthier coastal environment.ZHANG Yunfeng ZHANG Zhenke HE Huachun CHEN Yingying JIANG Songliu REN Hang 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,4:2

19Fast Adaptive Support-Weight Stereo Matching Algorithm显示文摘Adaptive support-weight (ASW) stereo matching algorithm is widely used in the field of three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction owing to its relatively high matching accuracy.However,since all the weight coefficients need to be calculated in the whole disparity range for each pixel,the algorithm is extremely time-consuming.To solve this problem,a fast ASW algorithm is proposed using twice aggregation.First,a novel weight coefficient which adapts cosine function to satisfy the weight distribution discipline is proposed to accomplish the first cost aggregation.Then,the disparity range is divided into several sub-ranges and local optimal disparities are selected from each of them.For each pixel,only the ASW at the location of local optimal disparities is calculated,and thus,the complexity of the algorithm is greatly reduced.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the amount of calculation by 70% and improve the matching accuracy by 6% for the 15 images on Middlebury Website on average.Kai He Yunfeng Ge Rui Zhen Jiaxing Yan 2017Transactions of Tianjin University2017,23,3:2
20Tetra-armed conjugated microporous polymers for gas adsorption and photocatalytic hydrogen evolution显示文摘Two novel tetra-armed conjugated microporous polymers with different geometries have been designed and synthesized via Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling polycondensation. Both polymers are stable in various organic solvents tested and are thermally stable. The pyrene-containing polymer of PrPy with the rigid pyrene unit shows a higher Brunauer-Emmet-Teller specific surface area of 1219 m^2 g^(-1) than the tetraphenylethylene-containing polymer of PrTPE(770 m^2 g^(-1)), which leads to a high CO_2 uptake ability of 3.89 mmol g^(-1) at 1.13 bar/273 K and a H_2 uptake ability of 1.69 wt% at 1.13 bar/77 K.
