| 1 | Highly efficient and stable white LEDs based on pure red narrow bandwidth emission triangular carbon quantum dots for wide-color gamut backlight displays显示文摘High-performance white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) hold great potential for the next-generation backlight display applications.However,achieving highly efficient and stable WLEDs with wide-color-gamut has remained a formidable goal.Reported here is the first example of pure red narrow bandwidth emission triangular CQDs (PR-NBE-T-CQDs) with photoluminescence peaking at 610 nm.The PR-NBE-T-CQDs synthesized from resorcinol show high quantum yield (QY) of 72% with small full width at half maximum of 33 nm.By simply controlling the reaction time,pure green (PG-) NBE-T-CQDs with high QY of 75% were also obtained.Highly efficient and stable WLEDs with wide-color-gamut based on PR- and PG-NBE-T-CQDs was achieved.This WLED showed a remarkable wide-color gamut of 110% NTSC and high power efficiency of 86.5 lumens per Watt.Furthermore,such WLEDs demonstrate outstanding stability.This work will set the stage for developing highly efficient,low cost and environment-friendly WLEDs based on CQDs for the next-generation wide-color gamut backlight displays. | Fanglong Yuan Ping He Zifan Xi Xiaohong Li Yunchao Li Haizheng Zhong Louzhen Fan Shihe Yang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,7: | 12 |
| 2 | A high-performance biochar produced from bamboo pyrolysis with in-situ nitrogen doping and activation for adsorption of phenol and methylene blue显示文摘Nitrogen doping is a promising method for the preparation of functional carbon materials.In this study,a nitrogen-doped porous coral biochar was prepared by using bamboo as raw material,urea as nitrogen source,and KHCO3 as green activator through in-situ pyrolysis.The structure of the obtained biochar was characterized by various techniques including nitrogen adsorption and desorption,Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectrometer,and etc.The adsorption properties of nitrogen-doped biochar were evaluated with phenol and methylene blue probes.The results showed that the nitrogen source ratio had a significant effect on the evolution of pore structure of biochar.Low urea addition ratio was beneficial to the development of pore structures.The optimum specific surface area of nitrogen-doped biochar could be up to 1693 m^2·g^-1.Nitrogen doping can effectively improve the adsorption capacity of biochar to phenol and methylene blue.Biochar prepared at 973.15 K with low urea addition ratio exhibited the highest adsorption capacity for phenol and methylene blue,and the equilibrium adsorption capacity was 169.0 mg·g^-1 and 499.3 mg·g^-1,respectively.By comparing the adsorption capacity of various adsorbents in related fields,it is proved that the nitrogen-doped biochar prepared in this study has a good adsorption effect. | Zhenhao Li Bo Xing Yan Ding Yunchao Li Shurong Wang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,11: | 9 |
| 3 | Temporal and spatial variations in hydrogeochemistry of cave percolation water and their implications for four caves in Guizhou, China显示文摘Soil water and cave drip water from four cave systems in Guizhou, Southwest China, were monitored and sampled monthly from April 2003 to May 2004 to understand spatio-temporal variations in hydro-geochemistry of cave percolation water. The results indicated that among the 5 drip water sites from the Liangfeng Cave (LFC), there were no significant differences among the hydro-geochemical parameters. In the Xiniu Cave (XNC), the drip rates were variable and responded quickly to precipitation events in the 3# (No. 3) drip site with variable water head; both bulk and variation in drip rates were smaller in the 2# with constant water head. However, in the Qixing Cave (QXC) and Jiangjun Cave (JJC), drip rates, concentrations of major ions and saturation index for calcite (SI C ) were smaller, and Mg/Ca ratios in Group I (1#, 2#, 6#, 7# and 8# in the QXC; 2# and 3# in the JJC) were larger than those in Group II (3#, 4#, 5# and 9# in the QXC; 1# and 4# in the JJC). These differences might be the result of different hydrogeological processes above the caves, which are divided into five categories based on hydro-geochemistry data. | 5 | Oxygen vacancy-engineered BaTiO_(3)nanoparticles for synergistic cancer photothermal,photodynamic,and catalytic therapy显示文摘With the rapid development of photo-responsive nanomaterials,photo-triggered therapeutic strategies such as photothermal therapy(PTT)and photodynamic therapy(PDT)have been new alternatives to current cancer therapeutic methods.Herein,we have fabricated oxygen vacancy-engineered BaTiO_(3)(BTO-Ov)nanoparticles(NPs)for near-infrared(NIR)light-triggered PTT,PDT,and catalytic therapy cooperatively for significantly improving cancer therapy.Compared to pristine BaTiO_(3)nanoparticles,BTO-Ov has stronger NIR light absorption and narrower band gap structure,which results in superior photothermal conversion and superoxide radical generation capabilities through PTT and PDT.Meanwhile,due to the existence of Ti^(3+),BTO-Ov also exhibits peroxidase(POD)-like activity to produce hydroxyl radical under tumor environment,which can be further improved under 808 nm light irradiation.Both in vitro and in vivo results demonstrate that such a multifunctional therapeutic nanoplatform can achieve a high therapeutic efficacy triggered by a single NIR light irradiation.The defect engineering strategy can be used as a general approach to fabricate multifunctional cancer therapeutic nanoplatform. | Yiming Ding Zhuo Wang Zeyu Zhang Yunchao Zhao Shangyu Yang Yalong Zhang Shuncheng Yao Shaobo Wang Tian Huang Yang Zhang Linlin Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 3 |

| 7 | Stable Carbon Isotope Variations in Cave Percolation Waters and their Implications in Four Caves of Guizhou, China显示文摘Monitoring and sampling of main plants,soil CO2,soil water,bedrock,spring water,drip water and its corresponding speleothem were performed at four cave systems of Guizhou,Southwest China,from April 2003 to May 2004,in order to understand stable carbon isotope ratios variations of dissolved inorganic Carbon(DIC) in cave percolation waters(δ13CDIC) and their implications for paleoclimate.Stable carbon isotopic compositions and ions(Ca,Mg,Sr,SO4,Cl etc.) were measured for all samples.The results indicate that there are significant differences among the δ13CDIC values from inter-cave,even inter-drip of intra-cave in the four caves.The δ13CDIC values from the Liangfeng Cave(LFC) is lightest among the four caves,where vegetation type overlying the cave is primary forest dominated by tall trees with lighter average δ13C value(–29.9‰).And there are remarkable differences in δ13CDIC values of different drip waters in the Qixing Cave(QXC) and Jiangjun Cave(JJC),up to 6.9‰ and 7.8‰,respectively.Further analyses show that the δ13CDIC values in cave drip waters are not only controlled by vegetation biomass overlying the cave,but also hydro-geochemical processes.Therefore,accurate interpreting of δ13C recorded in speleothems cannot be guaranteed if these effects of the above mentioned factors are not taken into consideration. | LUO Weijun WANG Shijie XIE Xingneng ZHOU Yunchao LI Tingyu | 2013 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,5: | 3 |

| 11 | Sulfate sources constrained by sulfur and oxygen isotopic compositions in the upper reaches of the Xijiang River,China显示文摘While it is critical to accurately understand the sources and transformation of sulfate based on time-series analysis, there are limited studies on temporal variation of sulfate in rivers and on rock weathering by sulfuric acids.We conducted a monthly sampling campaign in the Beipan, Nanpan, and Hongshui Rivers over the course of one hydrological year. This study examined seasonal variations in riverine sulfate impacted by the monsoon climate in the upper reaches of the Xijiang River basin. In general, the SO_4^(2-) contents in these rivers dropped from relatively high levels to low values during the high-flow season, in response to increasing discharge. The sulfate was generally enriched in heavy isotopes during the low-flow season compared to the high-flow season. The calculated results indicate that the riverine sulfate was mainly derived from sulfide oxidation, but that evaporite dissolution could be an important source during the low-flow season, based on isotopic evidence. Mine drainage is likely an important source of sulfate to these rivers during the high-flow season due to contributions from fast surface flow, which responds to frequent heavy rain in monsoonal climate regions. Arelatively high proportion of HCO_3^- was found to be derived from rock weathering by sulfuric acid during the high-flow season when compared to that observed during the low-flow season. The results suggest that approximately one quarter of the HCO_3^- in the Hongshui River originated from carbonate weathering by sulfuric acid derived from the oxidation of sulfide. | 16 | Phosphorus-induced electronic structure reformation of hollow NiCo_(2)Se_(4) nanoneedle arrays enabling highly efficient and durable hydrogen evolution in all-pH media显示文摘With practical electrocatalytic hydrogen production frequently involving the splitting of water in various pH media,there is an urgent need but still a technical challenge to develop low-cost,highly active,and stable electrocatalysts for pH-universal hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).We report herein the adoption of a hydrothermal reaction combined with a post gas-phase doping strategy to fabricate P-doped NiCo_(2)Se_(4) hollow nanoneedle arrays on carbon fiber paper(i.e.,P-NiCo_(2)Se_(4)/CFP).Notably,the optimal arrays(P8.71-NiCo_(2)Se_(4)/CFP)can afford an outstanding pH-universal HER performance,with an overpotential as low as 33,57,and 69 mV at 10 mA·cm^(−2) and corresponding Tafel slopes down to 52,61,and 72 mV·dec^(−1) in acidic,alkaline,and neutral media,respectively,outperforming most state-of-the-art nonprecious catalysts and even the commercial Pt/C catalyst in both neutral and alkaline media at large current densities.Impressively,P_(8.71-)NiCo_(2)Se_(4)/CFP also displays good durability toward long-time stability testing in harsh acidic and alkaline electrolytes.Experimental and theoretical studies further reveal that the doping of P atoms into NiCo_(2)Se_(4) can simultaneously optimize its H*adsorption/desorption energy,water adsorption energy,and water dissociation energy by adjusting the local electronic states of various active sites,thus accelerating the rate-determining step of HER in different pH media to endow P-NiCo_(2)Se_(4) with an outstanding pH-universal HER performance.This work provides atomic-level insights into the roles of active sites in various electrolysis environments,thereby shedding new light on the rational design of highly efficient pH-universal nonprecious catalysts for HER and beyond. | Guojing Wang Yuzhuo Sun Yidan Zhao Yang Zhang Xiaohong Li Louzhen Fan Yunchao Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,10: | 1 |

We in vestigated how azure-wi nged magpies Cyanopica cyan us solve multiple-string problems that they have never encountered before. In Experiment 1, the strings were arranged in parallel, slanted, or crossed to investigate what rules azure-winged magpies use to solve multiple spatial relations of strings. Experiment 2 assessed whether the subjects understood the connection between the string and the bait while taking advantage of broken strings. In Experiment 3, the subjects were confronted with strings of different lengths attached to rewards in order to explore whether the string length, as a proxy for the pulling efficiency or reward distanee, was crucial for the birds' choice of which string to pull. Gen erally, the birds were successful in tasks where the reward was close to the correct string's end, and they relied on a 'proximity rule' in most cases. The results showed that azure-winged magpies had a partial understanding of the physical principles underlying the string-pulling but were stumped by complex spatial relations. They likely relied on simple strategies such as the proximity rule to solve the tasks.
