| 2 | Review of Lagrangian stochastic models for turbulent combustion显示文摘Predictive simulation of the combustion process in engine is crucial to understand the complex underlying physicochemical processes, improve engine performance, and reduce pollutant emissions. Key issues such as the physical modeling of the interaction between turbulence, chemistry and droplets, and the incorporation of the detailed chemistry in high-fidelity simulations of complex flows remain essential though challenging. This paper reviews the transported probability density function method for turbulent dilute spray flames in the dual-Lagrangian framework that shows potential to address some critical modeling issues. An overview is presented for the contributions made within the last decade or so for the three key ingredients for modeling the interaction between turbulence, chemistry and droplets, i.e., micro-mixing, subgrid dispersion and two-phase coupling. Then, various methods for detailed chemistry acceleration are reviewed to address the issue of high computational cost for its use in multidimensional simulations. Finally, some applications of the dual-Lagrangian method in both laboratory-scale and device-scale configurations are provided to demonstrate its capability as well as deficiency at the current stage. | 8 | ^(234)U/^(238)U as a potential tracer for tracking water masses mixing in the northern East China Sea显示文摘The optimum multiparameter(OMP) method was often used to determine the percentages of water masses based on temperature, salinity and other parameters, like nutrient or dissolved oxygen(DO). There are a number of water masses in the East China Sea(ECS), a marginal sea of the western Pacific Ocean. However, it is difficult to clarify the proportion of water masses using traditional parameters, such as temperature, salinity, nutrient or DO because of the occurring of intensive biogeochemical processes in the near shore and shelf areas. Here, we reported the use of ^(234)U/^(238)Uactivity ratio embedded in the OMP method. The results indicate that seawater in the northern ECS mainly consisted of the estuarine water of Changjiang River(CEW), Kuroshio water(KW), and Yellow Sea Coastal Current(YSCC). | 13 | Ethanol production from sweet sorghum residual显示文摘In this work,the ethanol production from sweet sorghum residue was studied.Sweet sorghum res-idue was hydrolyzed with phosphoric acid under mild conditions.The liquid hydrolysate was fermented by Pachysolen tannophilus,and the hydrolysis residue was fermented by the simultaneous saccharification and fer-mentation(SSF)using Saecharomyces cerevisiae with cel-lulase(60 FPU/g dry materials).Orthogonal experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of main reaction condition factors,such as temperature,acid concentra-tion,time and dry-matter content,on the reducing sugar yield.The results show that the optimal reaction condi-tions should be 120℃,80 g/L,80 min and 10%,respect-ively.Under these conditions,0.3024 g reducing sugar/g dry material was obtained.The liquid hydrolysate was then fermented by P.tannophilus with the highest ethanol concentration of 14.5 g/L.At a water-insoluble solid con-centration of 5%,5.4 g/L ethanol was obtained after 12 h of SSF.The total ethanol yield was 0.147 g/g dry material,which would be beneficial for the application of ethanol production from sweet sorghum residue. | Jingyang BAN Jianliang YU Xu ZHANG Tianwei TAN | 2008 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2008,2,4: | 0 |
| 14 | Numerical simulation on the frosting and heat transfer characteristics of plate-fin heat exchanger considering confinement effect显示文摘In refrigerating industry,frost commonly deposits on the confined cold surfaces of heat exchangers,which affects the heat transfer performance.Along the confined flow path of the heat exchanger,the frosting at downstream is affected by the parameters from the upstream.In this study,a numerical model considering the confinement effect has been proposed to predict frosting characteristics in plate-fin heat exchanger.Convection-diffusion equations for humid air and empirical correlations for local frost density are employed in the numerical prediction.Frosting behavior and heat transfer in the confined channel are investigated with different humid air parameters and cold surface temperatures.The results indicate that frost thickness in the confined channel is thicker than that in open space under the same inlet parameters.The frost layer is thicker and fluffier along the confined channel.In addition,the air temperature difference between inlet and outlet of the confined channel enlarges with frosting.Under the same average temperature of upper and lower surfaces,the heat and mass transfer of frosting are enhanced with diminishing temperature difference of upper and lower surfaces.In such condition,frosting is mainly influenced by the cold surface with the lower temperature. | Xiaoling Yang Xue Liu Xiaojun Dong Yang Meng Yu Hou Tianwei Lai | 2022 | Energy Storage and Saving2022,1,3: | 0 |

Flexible transparent electrochemical energy conversion and storage devices (FT–EECSDs), with endurable mechanical flexibility, outstanding optical transmittance, excellent electrochemical performance, and additional intelligent functions, are considered as preferable energy supplies for future self-powered flexible electronic systems. A comprehensive review of the reasonable design of flexible transparent electrode and recent progress on the FT–EECSDs is presented herein. The manufacturing techniques of generally classified three types of flexible transparent electrodes are systematically summarized. Emphasis is given to the recent developments in the transparent solid-state electrolyte, flexible transparent energy conversion, and storage devices. The standard evaluation methods and reasonable evaluation parameters to evaluate the flexibility and transparency of FT–EECSDs are highlighted. Additionally, the typical integrated applications of FT–EECSDs are also described. | 17 | Multivalent neuraminidase hydrolysis resistant triazole-sialoside protein conjugates as influenza-adsorbents显示文摘We report the synthesis of pseudo triazole-sialoside protein conjugates of various valency that are resistant to neuraminidase for the adsorption of influenza viruses. The glycotriazole monomer bearing an amine-functionalized linker was synthesized by click chemistry and grafted to the lysine residues of bovine serum albumin(BSA) or human serum albumin(HSA) via diethyl squarate and adipate-based strategy. The binding of hemagglutinin(HA) and neuraminidase(NA) on the virion surface by the synthetic neoglycoproteins were evaluated by hemagglutination and neuraminidase inhibition assay,respectively. The results demonstrated that these synthetic glycoproteins have significantly higher affinity with NA than HA. The interactions between these neoglycoproteins and intact influenza viruses were further investigated by Dynamic Light Scattering(DLS) technique. The pronounced agglutination indicated that these glycoconjugates can be used as adsorbents to prevent virus from invading host cells as well as the release of newly synthesized viral particles, which are crucial in the life cycle of the influenza virus.
