1Photocatalytic degradation kinetics and mechanism of pentachlorophenol based on superoxide radicals显示文摘The micron grade multi-metal oxide bismuth silicate (Bi 12 SiO 20,BSO) was prepared by the chemical solution decomposition technique.Photocatalytic degradation of pentachlorophenol (PCP) was investigated in the presence of BSO under xenon lamp irradiation.The reaction kinetics followed pseudo first-order and the degradation ratio achieved 99.1% after 120 min at an initial PCP concentration of 2.0 mg/L.The pH decreased from 6.2 to 4.6 and the dechlorination ratio was 68.4% after 120 min at an initial PCP concentration of 8.0 mg/L.The results of electron spin resonance showed that superoxide radical (O 2 · ) was largely responsible for the photocatalytic degradation of PCP.Interestingly,this result was different from that of previous photocatalytic reactions where valence band holes or hydroxyl radicals played the role of major oxidants.Some aromatic compounds and aliphatic carboxylic acids were determined by GC/MS as the reaction intermediates,which indicated that O 2 · can attack the bond between the carbon and chlorine atoms to form less chlorinated aromatic compounds.The aromatic compounds were further oxidized by O 2 · to generate aliphatic carboxylic acids which can be finally mineralized to CO 2 and H 2 O.Yang Li Junfeng Niu Lifeng Yin Wenlong Wang Yueping Bao Jing Chen Yanpei Duan 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:9
2Phytoplankton composition and its ecological effect in subsurface cold pool of the northern Bering Sea in summer as revealed by HPLC derived pigment signatures显示文摘CHEMTAX analysis of high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) pigment was conducted to study phytoplankton community structure in the northern Bering Sea shelf, where a seasonal subsurface cold pool emerges. The results showed that fucoxanthin(Fuco) and chlorophyll a(Chl a) were the most abundant diagnostic pigments, with the integrated water column values ranging from 141 to 2 160 μg/m2 and 477 to 5 535 μg/m2, respectively. Moreover, a diatom bloom was identified at Sta. BB06 with the standing stock of Fuco up to 9 214 μg/m3. The results of CHEMTAX suggested that the phytoplankton community in the northern Bering Sea shelf was dominated by diatoms and chrysophytes with an average relative contribution to Chl a of 80% and 12%, respectively, followed by chlorophytes, dinoflagellates, and cryptophytes. Diatoms were the absolutely dominant algae in the subsurface cold pool with a relative contribution exceeding 90%, while the contribution of chrysophytes was generally higher in oligotrophic upper water. 3Response of nutrients and the surface phytoplankton community to ice melting in the central Arctic Ocean显示文摘During the fourth Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition cruise in summer 2010, a time-series observation was carried out to examine the response of nutrients and phytoplankton community in the ice-water interface to the ice melting ice in the central Arctic Ocean. Phosphate and silicate in the ice-water interface were rich relative to dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN), based on the Redfield ratio (16N:1P:16Si), suggesting that DIN was the potential limiting nutrient. DIN concentrations in the sea ice were about 3-4 times that in the surface seawater, indicating that melting ice delivered DIN to the surface water. Pigment analysis showed that fucoxanthin and chlorophyll a contribute to carotenoids and chlorophylls in particles. The mean concentrations of chlorophyll c,diatoxanthin, diadinoxanthin and fucoxanthin from 15 August to 18 August were 6 μgm-3, 22 μgm-3, 73 μgm-3 and 922 μg·m-3, respectively, suggesting that diatoms dominated in the phytoplankton community composition.Furthermore, a notable enhancement in fucoxanthin and chlorophyll a during a large-scale ice melting was likely attributed to senescent diatoms released from the bottom sea-ice as well as phytoplankton diatoms growth in the water column due to the input of nutrients (i.e., DIN) and reducing light limitation from melting ice. 5Response of phytoplankton community to different water types in the western Arctic Ocean surface water based on pigment analysis in summer 2008显示文摘Nutrients and photosynthesis pigments were investigated in the western Arctic Ocean during the 3rd Chinese Arctic Research Expedition Cruise in summer 2008.The study area was divided into five provinces using the Kmeans clustering method based on the physical and chemical characteristics of the sea water,and to discuss the distribution of the phytoplankton community structure in these provinces.CHEMTAX software was performed using HPLC pigments to estimate the contributions of eight algal classes to the total chlorophyll a(TChl a).The results showed that on the Chukchi Shelf,the Pacific Ocean inflow mainly controlled the Chl a biomass and phytoplankton communities by nutrient concentrations.The high nutrient Anadyr Water and Bering Shelf Water(An W and BSW) controlled region have high Chl a levels and the diatom dominated community structure.In contrast,in the region occupied by low-nutrient like Alaska Coastal Water(ACW),the Chl a biomass was low,with pico-and nano-phytoplankton as dominated species,such as prasinophytes,chrysophytes and cryptophytes.However,over the off-shelf,the ice cover condition which would affect the physical and nutrient concentrations of the water masses,in consequence had a greater impact on the phytoplankton community structure.Diatom dominated in ice cover region and its contribution to Chl a biomass was up to 75%.In the region close to the Mendeleev Abyssal Plain(MAP),controlled by sea-ice melt water with relatively high salinity(MW-HS),higher nutrient and Chl a concentrations were found and the phytoplankton was dominated by pico-and nano-algae,while the diatom abundance reduced to 33%.In the southern Canada Basin,an ice-free basin(IfB) with the lowest nutrient concentrations and most freshened surface water,low Chl a biomass was a consequence of low nutrients.The ice retreating and a prolonged period of open ocean may not be beneficial to the carbon export efficiency due to reducing the Chl a biomass or intriguing smaller size algae growth.JIN Haiyan ZHUANG Yanpei LI Hongliang CHEN lianfang GAO Shengquan JI Zhongqiang ZHANG Yang 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,8:2

7Phenotypic analysis and molecular characterization of an allelic mutant of the D61 gene in rice显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs) are a class of plant-specific steroidal hormones that play important roles in multiple biological processes. In this paper, a classic rice mutant gsor300084,showing erect leaves and semi-dwarf stature, was characterized. Morphological analysis in darkness showed that the mesocotyl of the gsor300084 mutant did not elongate when grown in darkness. Coleoptile elongation and root growth were less affected by the exogenous application of brassinolide(BL), the most active form of BR, in gsor300084 than in the wild-type rice variety Matsumae. Lamina joint bending analysis also showed that gsor300084 was less sensitive to exogenous BL than Matsumae. These results suggested that the gsor300084 mutant is defective in BR sensitivity. Map-based cloning indicated that gsor300084 is a novel allelic mutant of the DWARF61(D61) gene, which encodes the putative BR receptor OsBRI1. A single-base mutation appears in the LRR domain of OsBRI1, changing the 444 th amino acid from tryptophan(W) to arginine(R). Subcellular localization analysis suggested that both the wild-type and mutant OsBRI1 protein are localized at the cytoplasmic membrane. 8Mapping Domain- and Age-Specific Functional Brain Activity for Children’s Cognitive and Affective Development显示文摘The human brain undergoes rapid development during childhood,with significant improvement in a wide spectrum of cognitive and affective functions.Mapping domain-and age-specific brain activity patterns has important implications for characterizing the development of children’s cognitive and affective functions.The current mainstay of brain templates is primarily derived from structural magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),and thus is not ideal for mapping children’s cognitive and affective brain development.By integrating task-dependent functional MRI data from a large sample of 250 children(aged 7 to 12)across multiple domains and the latest easy-to-use and transparent preprocessing workflow,we here created a set of age-specific brain functional activity maps across four domains:attention,executive function,emotion,and risky decision-making.Moreover,we developed a toolbox named Developmental Brain Functional Activity maps across multiple domains that enables researchers to visualize and download domain-and age-specific brain activity maps for various needs.This toolbox and maps have been released on the Neuroimaging Informatics Tools and Resources Clearinghouse website(http://gffzza9adc041c78b4b3bhpkk6pwxqf9ww6xww.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/projects/dbfa).Our study provides domain-and age-specific brain activity maps for future developmental neuroimaging studies in both healthy and clinical populations.Lei Hao Lei Li Menglu Chen Jiahua Xu Min Jiang Yanpei Wang Linhua Jiang Xu Chen Jiang Qiu Shuping Tan Jia-Hong Gao Yong He Sha Tao Qi Dong Shaozheng Qin 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,6:1
9Advances in Chinese and international biogeochemistry research in the western Arctic Ocean: a review显示文摘Over the past decades, the Arctic Ocean has experienced rapid warming under climate change, which has dramatically altered its physical and biogeochemical properties. Reduction in the sea-ice cover is one of the most important driving forces of biogeochemical changes in the Arctic Ocean. Between 1999 and 2016, seven Chinese National Arctic Research Expeditions have taken place in the Bering and Chukchi seas, allowing assessment of the biogeochemical response of the western Arctic Ocean to global warming. Herein, we summarize advances in Chinese and international marine biogeochemistry research in the western Arctic Ocean, reviewing results from the Chinese expeditions and highlighting future trends of biogeochemistry in the Pacific Arctic region. 11Aerosol characterization in a city in central China plain and implications for emission control显示文摘Extensive studies on aerosol chemistry have been carried out in megacities in China,however,aerosol characterization in Central China Plain(CCP)is limited.Here we conducted real-time measurements of fine particle composition with a time-of-flight aerosol chemical speciation monitor in Kaifeng,Henan province in October 2019.Our results showed that nitrate and organics constituted the major fraction of non-refractory PM_(2.5)for the entire study,on average accounting for 34%and 33%,respectively.However,aerosol composition was substantially different among four periods due to different meteorological conditions and chemical processing.For instance,nitrate presented the lowest contribution during the first period due to evaporative loss associated with high temperature(T),and then rapidly increased during polluted periods as a function of relative humidity(RH).Positive matrix factorization analysis showed the dominance of secondary organic aerosol(SOA)in OA,and also the changes in OA composition under different T and RH levels.In addition,this study is unique with two periods of local emission controls.Back trajectory and coefficient of divergence analysis showed that air pollution in CCP was overall homogeneously distributed.As a result,the effectiveness of local emission controls in this region was strongly affected by meteorological conditions and regional transport.We found that one of the periods with emission control even showed the highest concentrations for the entire study.Our results point towards the limited effect of local emission controls in mitigating air pollution in CCP,and highlight the importance of joint emission controls under unfavorable meteorological conditions.Zhijie Li Lu Lei Yanpei Li Chun Chen Qingqing Wang Wei Zhou Jiaxing Sun Conghui Xie Yele Sun 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,6:1
12Vertical distribution of nutrient tracers in the western Arctic Ocean and its relationship to water structure and biogeochemical processes显示文摘During the 3rd Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition cruise in the summer of 2008,nutrients(NO3^-,NO2^-,SiO3^2-,and PO4^3-)and dissolved oxygen were measured in the western Arctic Ocean,to derive the vertical distribution of nutrient tracers and its relationship to water structure and biogeochemical processes.The nutrient data show that surface waters had the lowest NO3^-/PO4^3-(mean of 0.5)and SiO3^2-/PO3^-(mean of 2.8)values in the water column,suggesting an excess of phosphate.Winter Bering Shelf water(wBSW)had high Si^*(16.7μmol/L;Si^*=[Si(OH)4]–[NO3^-])with negative N^*(−11.7μmol/L;N^*=[PO4^3-]−16[PO4^3-]+3.5μmol/L)in the water column,indicating nitrate deficiency.The warm Atlantic layer had positive N^*(0.8μmol/L)and negative Si^*(−5.4μmol/L)compared with Pacific source water.The vertical distribution of nutrients indicates that wBSW can be characterized by N^* minimum and Si^* maximum.In contrast,minima of Si^* and SiO3^2-/PO4^3- below 200 m indicate the distribution of Atlantic warm water.Yanpei Zhuang Hongliang Li Haiyan Jin Shengquan Gao Jianfang Chen Yangjie Li Youcheng Bai Zhongqiang Ji 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,9:1
13Stable Quadruple Helical Tetraradicaloid with Thermally Induced Intramolecular Magnetic Switching显示文摘We report an air-stable tetraradicaloid based on a rarely explored perylenequinonoid(PQ)core,namely,tetrabenzo-annulated tetracyclopenta[b,e,k,n]perylene(TBCP),which has a quadruple helical structure.As validated by X-ray crystallographic analysis and theoretical calculations,the nonplanar TBCP possesses unique hybrid resonance structures of two open-shell singlet diradicaloids.Remarkably,magnetic measurements reveal that TBCP in powder form shows unusual magnetic hysteresis upon heating followed by cooling,corresponding to interconversion of structure isomers with different magnetic properties.Such electronic properties can be rationalized as the response of structural changes to external thermal stimuli,accompanied by a subtle balance of two types of intramolecular magnetic interactions between four-site spin centers.The results provide a novel organic polyradicaloid as an unprecedented example of a functional material with the potential for intramolecular magnetic switching.Jing Guo Zhiyu Li Jun Zhang Bo Li Yuan Liang Yanpei Wang Sheng Xie Hoa Phan Tun Seng Herng Jun Ding Jishan Wu Ben Zhong Tang Zebing Zeng 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:0
14Application of an optical nitrate profiler to high-and low-turbidity coastal shelf waters显示文摘Here,we report the results of high-resolution nitrate measurements using an optical nitrate profiler(in situ ultraviolet spectrophotometer,ISUS)along transect across a high-turbidity shelf(East China Sea)and a low-turbidity shelf(Chukchi Sea).The ISUS-measured nitrate concentrations closely reproduced the results measured by conventional bottle methods in low-turbidity waters.However,for high-turbidity waters of the East China Sea(salinity<30),a correction factor of 1.19 was required to match the standard bottle measurements.The high-resolution ISUS data revealed subtle spatial variability(e.g.,a subsurface nitrate minimum)that may have been missed if based solely on bottle results.Four main structures of the nitracline on the East China Sea are apparent from the ISUS nitrate profile.High-resolution nitrate data are important for studying nitrate budgets and nutrient dynamics on continental shelves.Yanpei Zhuang Yangjie Li Xizhen Liu Shichao Tian Bin Wang Zhongqiang Ji Haiyan Jin Jianfang Chen 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,1:0

16Steep subduction of the Indian continental mantle lithosphere beneath the eastern Himalaya revealed by gravity anomalies显示文摘The geometry and deformation of the Indian continental mantle lithosphere(ICML)beneath the India-Eurasia collision zone are critical to understanding the accommodation of continent-continent convergence.In this paper,the distribution of residual gravity anomalies in the upper mantle of southern Tibet is estimated using the gravity data and seismic velocity models,and the heterogeneous density distribution of the upper-mantle is then recovered through three-dimensional gravity inversion.The results reveal a low-density anomaly(~300 km W-E and~100 km N-S)in the upper mantle under the eastern Himalaya,while there is no obvious density anomaly under the western Himalaya.The western boundary of the low-density anomaly coincides with the Yadong-Gulu Rift(YGR)on the surface(89°–90°E),and its southern boundary is located at~28°N,approximately 130 km southward from the Indus-Yarlung suture,probably representing the mantle suture at depth.This observation indicates that,in contrast to the western ICML which is probably underthrusting at a shallow angle,the eastern ICML be likely subducting steeply,accompanying asthenosphere upwelling.Such a laterally varying geometry suggests that a major tearing of the ICML may have taken place from the intersection of the mantle suture and the YGR in the upper mantle.The tearing and the steep subduction of the ICML might be associated with the magmatic and mineralization events in the eastern Himalaya-Gangdese and the formation of the YGR.Shengxian LIANG Xuben WANG Zhengwei XU Yanpei DAI Yonghua WANG Jing GUO Yanjie JIAO Fu LI 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,9:0
17Design of solid-state sodium-ion batteries with high mass-loading cathode by porous-dense bilayer electrolyte显示文摘Solid-state sodium-ion batteries with sodium metal anodes possess high safety and reliability,which are considered as a promising candidate for the next generation of energy storage technology.However,poor electronic and ionic conductivities at the interface between electrodes and solid-state electrolytes restrict its practical application.Herein,we demonstrate a β″-Al_(2)O_(3) electrolyte with a vertically porousdense bilayer structure to solve this problem.The carbon-coated vertically porous layer serves as a high mass-loading host for Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) cathode and provides fast electronically and ionically conductive pathways.In addition,the dense layer is produced to prevent sodium dendrite growth and improve mechanical strength of β″-Al_(2)O_(3) electrolyte.Experimental results show that the cathode loading in vertically porous layer can reach to 8 mg cm^(-2),and the porous-dense bilayer β″-Al_(2)O_(3) electrolyte-based battery exhibits a reversible specific capacity of 87 mAh g^(-1) and a capacity retention of 95.5%over 100 cycles at a current density of 0.1 C,which is superior to that of the traditional dense β″-Al_(2)O_(3) electrolytebased battery.This work based on electrolyte structure design represents an efficient strategy for the development of solid-state sodium-ion batteries with high mass-loading cathode.Hongjian Lai Yanpei Li Jingyi Wang WenWen Li Xiangwei Wu Zhaoyin Wen 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,6:0
18Heterostructure of Ta_(3)N_(5) nanorods and CaTaO_(2)N nanosheets fabricated using a precursor template to boost water splitting under visible light显示文摘Fabrication of heterostructure composed of one-dimensional(1D)and 2D semiconductors has inspired extensive interest in promoting photogenerated charge separation as well as performances of solar fuel production,but it is still challenging for(oxy)nitride photocatalysts due to their uncontrollable ammonia thermal preparative process.In this work,we report a synthesis on heterostructure of Ta_(3)N_(5)nanorods and CaTaO_(2)N(CTON)nanosheets(denoted as Ta_(3)N_(5)/CTON)by directly nitriding a 2D Dion-Jacobson(DJ)type of perovskite KCa_(2)Ta_(3)O_(10)(KCTO)precursor under the assistance of K_(2)CO_(3)flux.It is demonstrated that the 2D morphology of KCTO can be well inherited to get 2D CTON,and the Ta-rich(nonstoichiometric ratio of Ca:Ta compared to CTON)feature of the KCTO as well as the easy evaporation of K species results in the formation of 1D Ta_(3)N_(5)nanorods.Meanwhile,the formation of intermediate species K_(2)Ca_(2)Ta_(3)O_(9)N owning similar crystal lattice as Ta_(3)N_(5)was detected and deduced to be responsible for the generation of Ta_(3)N_(5)nanorods and observation of intimate interface between CTON and Ta_(3)N_(5).Benefitting from the formation of special 1D/2D type-II heterostructure,obviously promoted charge separation as well as photocatalytic water splitting performance can be obtained.Extended discussion demonstrates the generality of the hard-template preparative strategy developed here.To our knowledge,this should be the first fabrication of 1D/2D heterostructure for the(oxy)nitride semiconductors,and the developed hard-template strategy may provide an alternative way of fabricating heterostructures of other semiconductors prepared at high temperature.Yanpei Luo Hao Li Yaling Luo Zheng Li Yu Qi Fuxiang Zhang Can Li 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4:0
19Development of Sn^(2+)-based oxyfluoride photocatalyst with visible light response of ca.650 nm via strengthened hybridization of Sn 5s and O 2p orbitals显示文摘The hybridization between the outmost s orbitals of metal(Bi^(3+),Sn^(2+),Pb^(2+),Ag^(+))and O 2 p orbitals has been widely employed to develop innovative semiconductors with upshift valence band as well as extended visible light response,but it is still challenging to obtain photocatalyst with absorption edge of above 550 nm.Here we report a novel Sn^(2+)-based oxyfluoride Sn_(2)TiNbO_6 F(STNOF)photocatalyst with a pyrochlore structure to exhibit an extended absorption edge to 650 nm and dual functionalities of both water reduction and oxidation.Density functional theory calculations suggest that the unprecedented broad-spectrum response of STNOF is mainly ascribed to the strengthened hybridization between O 2 p and Sn 5 s orbitals remarkably upshifting the valence band,which is caused by the distortion and compressive strain in the Sn06 F2 dodecahedron with second-order Jahn-Teller effect due to partial fluorine substitution.The structural distortion and compressive strain are experimentally confirmed by the Fourier-transformed extended X-ray absorption fine spectra.As probe tests of the photocatalytic functionalities,water reduction and oxidation half reactions were examined to see obvious H_(2)and O_(2)evolution under visible light irradiation.This work may provide an alternative strategy of developing extended visible light responsive semiconductors for promising solar energy conversion.Yanpei Luo Xin Zhou jiangwei Zhang Yu Qia Zheng Lia Fuxiang Zhang Can Li 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,12:0
