1Single-cell RNA sequencing reveals Nestin+active neural stem cells outside the central canal after spinal cord injury显示文摘Neural stem cells(NSCs)in the spinal cord hold great potential for repair after spinal cord injury(SCI).The ependyma in the central canal(CC)region has been considered as the NSCs source in the spinal cord.However,the ependyma function as NSCs after SCI is still under debate.We used Nestin as a marker to isolate potential NSCs and their immediate progeny,and characterized the cells before and after SCI by single-cell RNA-sequencing(scRNA-seq).We identified two subgroups of NSCs:the subgroup located within the CC cannot prime to active NSCs after SCI,while the subgroup located outside the CC were activated and exhibited the active NSCs properties after SCI.We demonstrated the comprehensive dynamic transcriptome of NSCs from quiescent to active NSCs after SCI.This study reveals that Nestin+cells outside CC were NSCs that activated upon SCI and may thus serve as endogenous NSCs for regenerative treatment of SCI in the future.Muya Shu Xiaoyu Xue Hu Nie Xianming Wu Minghan Sun Lianyong Qiao Xing Li Bai Xu Zhifeng Xiao Yannan Zhao Yongheng Fan Bing Chen Jixiang Zhang Ya Shi Yaming Yang Falong Lu Jianwu Dai 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,2:2
2Laboratory experimental study of water drag force exerted on ridge keel显示文摘With the diminishing Arctic sea ice,the dynamic energy-exchange process between sea ice and ocean gains in importance.Concerning how the ice bottom topography affects the drift of sea ice,it is unclear how the ridge keel-drag force exerted by seawater changes the momentum balance of sea ice.We thus conducted laboratory experiments to investigate how the local drag coefficient of the ridge keel depends on keel shape and on the relative velocity of ice with respect to seawater.A dimensional analysis is used to obtain the relationship between the local drag coefficient Cr,the Reynolds number Re,the dimensionless keel depth h0,and the keel slope angleφ.The results indicate that the local drag coefficient Cr is only relevant to Re when Re<4000 and the flow is in the laminar regime.With increasing Re,Cr depends on h0 andφ,which are independent variables,as the flow transitions to the turbulent regime.The parameterization formulas for Cr are also provided.ZU Yongheng LU Peng YU Miao CAO Xiaowei LI Zhijun 2020Advances in Polar Science2020,31,1:1

4Understanding the dynamical-microphysical-electrical processes associated with severe thunderstorms over the Beijing metropolitan region显示文摘The Dynamical-microphysical-electrical Processes in Severe Thunderstorms and Lightning Hazards(STORM973)project conducted coordinated comprehensive field observations of thunderstorms in the Beijing metropolitan region(BMR)during the warm season from 2014 to 2018.The aim of the project was to understand how dynamical,microphysical and electrical processes interact in severe thunderstorms in the BMR,and how to assimilate lightning data in numerical weather prediction models to improve severe thunderstorm forecasts.The platforms used in the field campaign included the Beijing Lightning Network(BLNET,consisting of 16 stations),2 X-band dual linear polarimetric Doppler radars,and 4 laser raindrop spectrometers.The collaboration also made use of the China Meteorological Administration’s mesoscale meteorological observation network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Although diverse thunderstorm types were documented,it was found that squall lines and multicell storms were the two major categories of severe thunderstorms with frequent lightning activity and extreme rainfall or unexpected local short-duration heavy rainfall resulting in inundations in the central urban area,influenced by the terrain and environmental conditions.The flash density maximums were found in eastern Changping District,central and eastern Shunyi District,and the central urban area of Beijing,suggesting that the urban heat island effect has a crucial role in the intensification of thunderstorms over Beijing.In addition,the flash rate associated with super thunderstorms can reach hundreds of flashes per minute in the central city regions.The super(5%of the total),strong(35%),and weak(60%)thunderstorms contributed about 37%,56%,and 7%to the total flashes in the BMR,respectively.Owing to the close connection between lightning activity and the thermodynamic and microphysical characteristics of the thunderstorms,the lightning flash rate can be used as an indicator of severe weather events,such as hail and short-duration heavy rainfall.Lightning data can also be assimilated into numerical weather prediction models to help improve the forecasting of severe convection and precipitation at the cloud-resolved scale,through adjusting or correcting the thermodynamic and microphysical parameters of the model.Xiushu QIE Shanfeng YUAN Zhixiong CHEN Dongfeng WANG Dongxia LIU Mengyu SUN Zhuling SUN Abhay SRIVASTAVA Hongbo ZHANG Jingyu LU Hui XIAO Yongheng BI Liang FENG Ye TIAN Yan XU Rubin JIANG Mingyuan LIU Xian XIAO Shu DUAN Debin SU Chengyun SUN Wenjing XU Yijun ZHANG Gaopeng LU Da-Lin ZHANG Yan YIN Ye YU 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,1:1

8Defective layered Mn-based cathode materials with excellent performance via ion exchange for Li-ion batteries显示文摘Defective layered Mn-based materials were synthesized by Li/Na ion exchange to improve their electrochemical activity and Coulombic efficiency.The annealing temperature of the Na precursors was important to control the P3-P2 phase transition,which directly affected the structure and electrochemical characteristics of the final products obtained by ion exchange.The O3-Li_(0.78)[Li_(0.25)Fe_(0.075)Mn_(0.675)]O_(δ) cathode made from a P3-type precursor calcined at 700℃ was analyzed using X-ray photoelectron spectrometry and electron paramagnetic resonance.The results showed that the presence of abundant trivalent manganese and defects resulted in a discharge capacity of 230 mAh/g with an initial Coulombic efficiency of about 109%.Afterward,galvanostatic intermittent titration was performed to examine the Li^(+) ion diffusion coefficients,which affected the reversible capacity.First principles calculations suggested that the charge redistribution induced by oxygen vacancies(OV_(s))greatly affected the local Mn coordination environment and enhanced the structural activity.Moreover,the Li-deficient cathode was a perfect match for the pre-lithiation anode,providing a novel approach to improve the initial Coulombic efficiency and activity of Mn-based materials in the commercial application.Yongheng Si Kun Bai Yaxin Wang Han Lu Litong Liu Ziyan Long Yujuan Zhao 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,7:0

11培美曲塞联合放疗对肺损伤的实验研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of our study was to examine whether irradiation combined with pemetrexed can exacerbate pulmonary injury. Methods: Two groups of male Wister Rats were subjected to bilateral apex of lungs irradiation(a single dose of 12 Gy), with or without pemetrexed(20 mg/kg) by intraperitoneal injection at the same time; a third group of weightand age- matched animals were treated with pemetrexed alone, as the same dose scheme, time and root of injection. The fourth group served as control. The whole lung mounts were dissected to histological evaluation, while serum cytokine transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) analysis were compared at 1, 7, 21, 35, 49 days post-irradiation after irradiation. Results: Histological examination showed a thickening of alveolar septal, accumulation of inflammatory cells. The irradiation treatment group and the radiation-chemo treatment group showed a statistically significant higher level of TGF-β1(P < 0.05) than other two groups, but there were no differences between these two irradiation groups.
