2Three-dimensional-printed individualized porous implants:A new“implant-bone”interface fusion concept for large bone defect treatment显示文摘Bone defect repairs are based on bone graft fusion or replacement.Current large bone defect treatments are inadequate and lack of reliable technology.Therefore,we aimed to investigate a simple technique using three-dimensional(3D)-printed individualized porous implants without any bone grafts,osteoinductive agents,or surface biofunctionalization to treat large bone defects,and systematically study its long-term therapeutic effects and osseointegration characteristics.Twenty-six patients with large bone defects caused by tumor,infection,or trauma received treatment with individualized porous implants;among them,three typical cases underwent a detailed study.Additionally,a large segmental femur defect sheep model was used to study the osseointegration characteristics.Immediate and long-term biomechanical stability was achieved,and the animal study revealed that the bone grew into the pores with gradual remodeling,resulting in a long-term mechanically stable implant-bone complex.Advantages of 3D-printed microporous implants for the repair of bone defects included 1)that the stabilization devices were immediately designed and constructed to achieve early postoperative mobility,and 2)that osseointegration between the host bone and implants was achieved without bone grafting.Our osseointegration method,in which the“implant-bone”interface fusion concept was used instead of“bone-bone”fusion,subverts the traditional idea of osseointegration.Teng Zhang Qingguang Wei Hua Zhou Zehao Jing Xiaoguang Liu Yufeng Zheng Hong Cai Feng Wei Liang Jiang Miao Yu Yan Cheng Daoyang Fan Wenhao Zhou Xinhong Lin Huijie Leng Jian Li Xinyu Li Caimei Wang Yun Tian Zhongjun Liu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:9
3A detailed investigation of low latitude tweek atmospherics observed by the WHU ELF/VLF receiver:2.Occurrence features and associated ionospheric parameters显示文摘As a companion paper to Zhou RX et al.(2020),this study describes application of the automatic detection and analysis module to identify all the tweek atmospherics detectible in the WHU ELF/VLF receiver data collected at Suizhou station during the period of 3 February through 29 February 2016.Detailed analysis of the identified low-latitude tweek events reveals that the occurrence rate varies considerably—from 800 to 6000 tweeks per day,and exhibits a strong diurnal and local time dependence,the peak occurring before local midnight.The diurnal variation of identified tweeks was similar to that of the lightning data obtained by the World-Wide Lightning Location Network(WWLLN)..Estimates of the propagation distance and ionospheric reflection height of tweek atmospherics suggest that the majority(~92%)of the low latitude tweeks originate from the lightning activity within a radius of 4000 km and that they are very likely to reflect from the lower ionospheric D-region at the height range of 75–85 km.At these lower ionospheric reflection altitudes,~74%of the corresponding electron densities from the tweek spectral measurements are within 24.5–27.5 cm^-3.The daily variation of estimated D-region electron densities in the considered period(February 2016)also exhibits a small overall increasing trend from early to later in the month.Juan Yi XuDong Gu Wen Cheng XinYue Tang Long Chen BinBin Ni RuoXian Zhou ZhengYu Zhao Qi Wang LiQing Zhou 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,3:8
4Visible Kerr comb generation in a high-Q silica microdisk resonator with a large wedge angle显示文摘This paper describes the specially designed geometry of a dry-etched large-wedge-angle silica microdisk resonator that enables anomalous dispersion in the 780 nm wavelength regime. This anomalous dispersion occurs naturally without the use of a mode-hybridization technique to control the geometrical dispersion. By fabricating a1-μm-thick silica microdisk with a wedge angle as large as 56° and an optical Q-factor larger than 107, we achieve a visible Kerr comb that covers the wavelength interval of 700–897 nm. 5The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 7In vitro and in silico analysis of dual-function peptides derived from casein hydrolysate显示文摘There is no study on food-derived peptide with both anticoagulant and angiotensin I-converting enzyme inhibitory (ACEI) activities yet. In this work, the anticoagulant and ACEI activities of the casein hydrolysates released by pepsin digestion were evaluated for the first time to the best of our knowledge. Results indicated that the casein hydrolysate exhibited potent anticoagulant activity by prolonging the thrombin time (TT) and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). Compared with control samples, at 10 mg/mL, the TT and APTT of casein hydrolysate were 186.0 % ± 6.6 % and 163.5 % ± 7.4 %, respectively. The casein hydrolysate also showed a strong ACEI activity with an IC50 value of 1.775 mg/mL. The components of the bioactive casein hydrolysate were analyzed by nanoscale liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (NanoLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS). Total of 115 peptides were identified, among which 34, 9, 55 and 17 peptides were derived from α_(s1-), α_(s2-), β-, and κ-casein, respectively. The results of PeptideRanker and PepSite 2 analysis showed that 6 peptides (FRQFYQL, NENLLRF, NPWDQVKR, PVVVPPFLQ, PVRGPFPIIV, and ARHPHPHLSF) have both ACEI and anticoagulant activities by binding to the active sites of ACE and thrombin. 8Clinical significance of germline copy number variation in susceptibility of human diseases显示文摘Germline copy number variation(CNV) is considered to be an important form of human genetic polymorphisms. Previous studies have identified amounts of CNVs in human genome by advanced technologies, such as comparative genomic hybridization, single nucleotide genotyping, and high-throughput sequencing. CNV is speculated to be derived from multiple mechanisms, such as nonallelic homologous recombination(NAHR) and nonhomologous end-joining(NHEJ). CNVs cover a much larger genome scale than single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs), and may alter gene expression levels by means of gene dosage, gene fusion, gene disruption, and long-range regulation effects, thus affecting individual phenotypes and playing crucial roles in human pathogenesis. The number of studies linking CNVs with common complex diseases has increased dramatically in recent years. Here, we provide a comprehensive review of the current understanding of germline CNVs, and summarize the association of germline CNVs with the susceptibility to a wide variety of human diseases that were identified in recent years. 9Predictions of NOx/N2O emissions from an ultra-supercritical CFB boiler using a 2-D comprehensive CFD combustion model显示文摘NOx and N2O emissions from an ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed(CFB)boiler were predicted using a two dimensional(2-D)comprehensive computational fluid dynamics(CFD)combustion model.This model was developed from a three dimensional model for a supercritical CFB boiler previously constructed by our group.Based on an analysis of the NOx and N2O conversion processes in a CFB boiler,the primary formation and destruction reactions were introduced into the 2-D model and coupled.The resulting model was validated using data from the Baima 600 MW supercritical CFB boiler,and then applied to a 660 MW ultra-supercritical CFB boiler.The effects of excess air,the secondary air(SA)to(primary air(PA)plus SA)ratio and the SA injection height on NOx and N2O emissions were investigated.The results show that a higher excess air volume increases both NOx and N2O emissions,while increasing the SA/(PA+SA)ratio somewhat reduces both the NOx and N2O concentrations.On the basis of the results of this work,optimal locations for SA injection ports so as to lower NOx and N2O emissions are recommended.Jieqiang Ji Leming Cheng Yangjun Wei Junfeng Wang Xinyu Gao Mengxiang Fang Qinhui Wang 2020Particuology2020,18,2:4
10Sn02 nanoparticles anchored on graphene oxide as advanced anode materials for high-performance lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) with high energy density have attracted great attention for their wide applications in electric vehicles, and the exploration of the nextgeneration anode materials with high theoretical capacity is highly desired. In this work, Sn02 nanoparticles with the particle size of 200 nm uniformly anchored on the surface of graphene oxide (GO) was prepared by combination of the ultrasonic method and the following calcination process. The Sn02/GO composite with the weight ratio of Sn02 to GO at 4:1 exhibits excellent electrochemical performance, which originates from the synergistic effects between GO and Sn02 nanoparticles. A high discharge capacity of 492 mA·h·g^-1 can be obtained after 100 cycles at 0.2C, and after cycling at higher current densities of 1C and 2C, a discharge capacity of 641 mA·h·g^-1 can be restored when the current density goes back to 0.1C. 12Evaluation of COC183B2 antibody targeting ovarian cancer by near-infrared fluorescence imaging显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the imaging potential of a novel near-infrared(NIR) probe conjugated to COC183 B2 monoclonal antibodies(MAb) in ovarian cancer(OC).Methods: The expression of OC183 B2 antigen in OC was determined by immunohistochemical(IHC) staining using tissue microarrays with the H-score system and immunofluorescence(IF) staining of tumor cell lines.Imaging probes with the NIR fluorescent dye cyanine 7(Cy7) conjugated to COC183 B2 Mab were chemically engineered. OC183 B2-positive human OC cells(SKOV3-Luc) were injected subcutaneously into BALB/c nude mice. Bioluminescent imaging(BLI) was performed to detect tumor location and growth. COC183 B2-Cy7 at 1.1,3.3, 10, or 30 μg were used for in vivo fluorescence imaging, and phosphate-buffered saline(PBS), free Cy7 dye and mouse isotype immunoglobulin G(IgG)-Cy7(delivered at the same doses as COC183 B2-Cy7) were used as controls.Results: The expression of OC183 B2 with a high H-score was more prevalent in OC tissue than fallopian tube(FT) tissue. Among 417 OC patients, the expression of OC183 B2 was significantly correlated with the histological subtype, histological grade, residual tumor size, relapse state and survival status. IF staining demonstrated that COC183 B2 specifically expressed in SKOV3 cells but not HeLa cells. In vivo NIR fluorescence imaging indicated that COC183 B2-Cy7 was mainly distributed in the xenograft and liver with optimal tumor-to-background(T/B)ratios in the xenograft at 30 μg dose. The highest fluorescent signals in the tumor were observed at 96 h postinjection(hpi). Ex vivo fluorescence imaging revealed the fluorescent signals mainly from the tumor and liver. 13Ultrathin lanthanide oxides nanomaterials: synthesis, properties and applications显示文摘Over the past decade, ultrathin lanthanide oxides(Ln_2O_3, Ln = La to Lu) nanomaterials have been intensively studied in the fields of rare earth materials science. This unique class of nanomaterials has shown many unprecedented properties(big surface area, high surface effect, physical and chemical activities) and is thus being explored for numerous promising applications. In this review, a brief introduction of ultrathin Ln_2O_3 nanomaterials was given and their unique advantages were highlighted. Then, the typical synthetic methodologies were summarized and compared(thermal decomposition, solvothermal, soft template, co-precipition and microwave etc.). Due to the high surface effect, some promising applications of ultrathin Ln_2O_3 nanomaterials, such as drug delivery and catalysis of CO oxidation, were reviewed. 14Distinct contribution of PD-L1 suppression by spatial expression of PD-L1 on tumor and non-tumor cells显示文摘Programmed cell death receptor 1(PD-1)and its ligand,PD-L1,are important immune checkpoint proteins.Although antibodies that block PD-1/PD-L1 have shown promising clinical efficacy in a subset of cancer patients,the detailed cellular and molecular mechanisms behind anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy are not well defined.Specifically,the way in which PD-L1 contributes to immune suppression on tumor and non-tumor cells remains controversial.By selectively blocking PD-L1 on either tumor or non-tumor cells,we demonstrated that PD-L1 from both sources suppressed the anti-tumor T-cell response.Blocking PD-L1 on either tumor cells or non-tumor cells inhibited tumor growth and enhanced immune cell infiltration,as well as the tumor-specific T-cell response.Further,simultaneously blocking tumor-and non-tumor-derived PD-L1 maximized anti-tumor T-cell responses and demonstrated synergy.In addition,the relative contribution of PD-L1 on tumor and non-tumor cells to immune suppression depended on the PD-L1 expression level.Lastly,we found that the F4/80 receptor was involved in the anti-tumor effect of PD-L1 blockade.Taken together,our data indicate that PD-L1 on both tumor and non-tumor cells is critical for T-cell inhibition,which provides new directions for the optimization of PD-L1-blocking antibodies and the development of clinical biomarker strategies.Xiaoqing Zhang Chen Cheng Jiyan Hou Xinyue Qi Xin Wang Ping Han Xuanming Yang 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,4:3

This paper presents an automatic parking scheme based on trajectory planning, which analyzing the mechanical model of the vehicle, establishing vehicle steering model and parking model, coming to the conclusion that it is the turning radius is independent of the vehicle speed at low speed. The Matlab simulation environment verifies the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for parking. 17Stimulated Raman scattering signal generation in a scattering medium using self-reconstructing Bessel beams显示文摘Scattering is a huge challenge for microscopic imaging.Indeed,it is difficult to observe target chemicals in scattering media by means of the current Gaussian beam-based stimulated Raman scattering(SRS)microscopy,since the tight focus of the Gaussian beam is destroyed after propagating through a certain distance.Bessel beams,featuring self-reconstructing property,may bring a solution to this problem.By combining Bessel beams with SRS microscopy,we can probe the SRS signal from a scattering medium.In this paper,using the beam propagation method,we first simulate the propagation of the Bessel beam as well as the generation and self-reconstruction of SRS signals.By adding glass beads along the beam propagation path in order to simulate scattering,the propagation of the Bessel beams and the generation of the SRS signals will change.Then,we design a series of simulations to investigate the influence of the size,position,number,and distribution of the added glass beads on the generation of the SRS signals.A preliminary experiment is also carried out to confirm the simulation predictions.Results demonstrate that the SRS signals can be generated or be recovered at a certain depth in scattering media,and that such signals are greatly affected by the parameters of the scatters.XUELI CHEN XINYU WANG LIN WANG PENG LIN YONGHUA ZHAN JI-XIN CHENG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:3

19Changes of gut microbiome and metabolome in the AOM/DSS mouse model of colorectal cancer with FLASH radiation显示文摘Objective:To investigate the differences in small intestinal toxicity and taxonomic composition,diversity,and functional pathways of gut microbiome and metabolome after different radiotherapies in mouse colorectal cancer(CRC)model.Methods:Azoxymethane/dextran sodium sulfate(AOM/DSS)-induced mouse CRC model was treated with single pulse FLASH-RT(dose rate 100 Gy/s)or CONV-RT(dose rate 2 Gy/min)at whole abdomen.At 12 d after radiotherapy,sections of small intestinal tract tissue were dissected for hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining and the fresh feces were collected for 16S ribosomal RNA(rRNA)microbiome sequencing and liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry(LC-MS)metabolomics sequencing to assess changes in the gut microbiota and metabolites.Microbial high-throughput 16S rRNA data was analyzed with QIIME2 and LEfSe softwares.ProteoWizard,XCMS and Ropls softwares were used for LC-MS analysis.Results:HE staining showed that FLASH-RT maintained small intestinal integrity and reduced the radiotherapyinduced injury.Sequencing analysis of gut fecal microbiome showed that phylum Bacteroidetes and genera Prevotella and Lactobacillus of microbial community were increased after FLASH-RT.Metabolomics sequencing analysis revealed that the metabolites after FLASH-RT were enriched in amino acid metabolism,while cholesterol metabolism was top enriched after CONV-RT.Conclusions:FLASH-RT significantly mitigates the small intestine tissue damage compared with CONV-RT.FLASHRT and CONV-RT have different impact on gut microbiota and its metabolites.Our results provide a theoretical basis for the early evaluation,prediction and individualized treatment of the irradiation effect after novel FLASHRT on tumors through the evaluation of intestinal microbiota and metabolites.Mengmeng Xu Xinyu Qiu Qiu Chen Tianyu Yang Jingze Xu Liang Chen Lixiong Shuai Zhiming Xu Xinyang Cheng Yongsheng Zhang Zhifei Cao 2023Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,1:2
20Nickel single atom overcoordinated active sites to accelerate the electrochemical reaction kinetics for Li-S cathode显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries with high theoretical energy density are promising advanced energy storage devices.However,shuttling of dissolute lithium polysulfide(LiPSs)and sluggish conversion kinetics impede their applications.Herein,single nickel(Ni)atoms on two-dimensional(2D)nitrogen(N)-doped carbon with Ni-N_(4)-O overcoordinated structure(SANi-N_(4)-O/NC)are prepared and firstly used as a sulfur host of Li-S batteries.Due to the efficient polysulfides traps and highly LiPSs conversion effect of SANi-N_(4)-O/NC,the electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries obviously improved.The batteries can well operate even under high sulfur loading(5.8 mg cm^(-2))and lean electrolyte(6.1μL mg^(-1))condition.Meanwhile,density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate that Ni single atom’s active sites decrease the energy barriers of conversion reactions from Li_(2)S_(8)to Li2S due to the strong interaction between SANi-N_(4)-O/NC and LiPSs.Thus,the kinetic conversion of LiPSs was accelerated and the shuttle effect is suppressed on SANi-N_(4)-O/NC host.This study provides a new design strategy for a 2D structure with single-atom overcoordinated active sites to facilitate the fast kinetic conversion of LiPSs for Li-S cathode.Juan Zhu Xinyue Wang Tian Ke Mingji Jia Biyu Jin Yuanyuan Li Qiwei Yang Lanhui Ren Yongyuan Ren Dangguo Cheng Jianguo Lu Xiang Gao Qinggang He Yang Hou Xiaoli Zhan Qinghua Zhang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3:2
