1Sodium oligomannate therapeutically remodels gut microbiota and suppresses gut bacterial amino acids-shaped neuroinflammation to inhibit Alzheimer's disease progression显示文摘Recently,increasing evidence has suggested the association between gut dysbiosis and Alzheimer's disease(AD)progression,yet the role of gut microbiota in AD pathogenesis remains obscure.Herein,we provide a potential mechanistic link between gut microbiota dysbiosis and neuroinflammation in AD progression.Using AD mouse models,we discovered that,during AD progression,the alteration of gut microbiota composition leads to the peripheral accumulation of phenylalanine and isoleucine,which stimulates the differentiation and proliferation of pro-inflammatory T helper 1(Thl)cells.The brain-infiltrated peripheral Th1 immune cells are associated with the Ml microglia aaivation,contributing to AD-associated neuroinflammation.Importantly,the elevation of phenylalanine and isoleucine concentrations and the increase of Th1 cell frequency in the blood were also observed in two small independent cohorts of patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)due to AD.Furthermore,GV-971,a sodium oligomannate that has demonstrated solid and consistent cognition improvement in a phase 3 clinical trial in China,suppresses gut dysbiosis and the associated phenylalanine/isoleucine accumulation,harnesses neuroinflammation and reverses the cognition impairment.Together,our findings highlight the role of gut dysbiosis-promoted neuroinflammation in AD progression and suggest a novel strategy for AD therapy by remodelling the gut microbiota.Xinyi Wang Guangqiang Sun Teng Feng Jing Zhang Xun Huang Tao Wang Zuoquan Xie Xingkun Chu Jun Yang Huan Wang Shuaishuai Chang Yanxue Gong Lingfei Ruan Guanqun Zhang Siyuan Yan Wen Lian Chen Du Dabing Yang Qingli Zhang Feifei Lin Jia Liu Haiyan Zhang Changrong Ge Shifu Xiao Jian Ding Meiyu Geng 2019Cell Research2019,29,10:192
2New dammarane-type saponins from the leaves of Panax notoginseng显示文摘Two new triterpenoid saponins named notoginsenoside-Ng3(1) and notoginsenoside-Ng4(2) along with three known saponins (3-5), were isolated from a water extract of the leaves of Panax notoginseng. Their structures were elucidated by HRESIMS, NMR, X-ray techniques and acid hydrolysis. Moreover,compound 2 was characterized with the conjugated double bonds side-chain, which was rarely found in this plant. The absolute configuration of notoginsenoside Fa (3) with five sugars was confirmed by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction for the first time. 5A comprehensive analysis of the Bencao(herbal)small RNA Atlas reveals novel RNA therapeutics for treating human diseases显示文摘Cross-kingdom herbal mi RNA was first reported in 2012.Using a modified herbal extraction protocol,we obtained 73,677,287sequences by RNA-seq from 245 traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),of which 20,758,257 were unique sequences.We constructed a Bencao(herbal)small RNA(s RNA)Atlas(http://gffzz4a3adbfa122d4a47hkpnqxbwno5uv6xub.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn),annotated the sequences by sequence-based clustering,and created a nomenclature system for Bencao s RNAs.The profiles of 21,757 mi RNAs in the Atlas were highly consistent with those of plant mi RNAs in mi RBase.Using software tools,our results demonstrated that all human genes might be regulated by s RNAs from the Bencao s RNA Atlas,part of the predicted human target genes were experimentally validated,suggesting that Bencao s RNAs might be one of the main bioactive components of herbal medicines.We established roadmaps for oligonucleotide drugs development and optimization of TCM prescriptions.Moreover,the decoctosome,a lipo-nano particle consisting of 0.5%–2.5%of the decoction,demonstrated potent medical effects.We propose a Bencao(herbal)Index,including small-molecule compounds(SM),protein peptides(P),nucleic acid(N),non-nucleic and non-proteinogenic large-molecule compounds(LM)and elements from Mendeleev's periodic table(E),to quantitatively measure the medical effects of botanic medicine.The Bencao s RNA Atlas is a resource for developing gene-targeting oligonucleotide drugs and optimizing botanical medicine,and may provide potential remedies for the theory and practice of one medicine.Yinghao Cao Yexuan Lin Na Sun Xinyi Du Yixin Dong Song Mei Xingyu Deng Xiaobei Li Shaoting Guo Kegong Tang Jiaqi Liu Xiangyu Qiao Dandan Zhao Yuhao Qin Cong Zhang Tianyi Xin Xiaohu Shi Congzhao Zhou Tao Dong De-an Guo Benedikt MKessler Dong Xu Jingyuan Song Fengming Huang Xiaoyue Wang Chengyu Jiang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10:2
6A synthetical methodology for identifying pr ior ity pollutants in reclaimed water based on meta-analysis显示文摘Wastewater reclamation and reuse is an increasing global project,while the reclamation treatment on wastewater does not completely remove all pollutants in water.The residual pollutants in reclaimed water would cause potential risk on human health and ecosystem safety during the long-term use.It is impossible to analyze and control all pollutants one by one in practice,therefore,identification and control of priority pollutants will be efficient strategy to ensure the safe use of reclaimed water.An integrated three-step methodology for identifying priority pollutants in reclaimed water was proposed in this study.First,a comprehensive literature survey on the occurrence of pollutants in reclaimed water was conducted,and a dataset D PR for pollutants occurrence in reclaimed water was established,containing 1,113 pollutants.Second,611 chemicals that had been recommended as hazardous pollutants for various water bodies in previous literatures were summarized,and a dataset D HP for hazardous pollutants in water was obtained.Third,meta-analysis on these two datasets(D PR and D HP)was performed,a new dataset D HPR for hazardous pollutants in reclaimed water was established,including 265 candidates.Finally,59 substances out of dataset D HPR were identified as priority pollutants for reclaimed water based on their recommendation frequency.It is expected that this synthetical methodology will provide powerful support for scientific evaluating and managing water pollution and ensuring safe use of reclaimed water.Feipeng Wang Dongbin Wei Miao Chen Shuang Peng Qiaorong Guo Xinyi Zhang Jun Liu Yuguo Du 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,2:2
7SCM-198 ameliorates endometrial inflammation via suppressing the LPS-JNK-cJUN/cFOS-TLR4-NF-κB pathway显示文摘Endometritis is an inflammatory disease of the endometrium,which is responsible for endometrial dysfunction,decidualization failure,and increased incidence of early pregnancy loss.SCM-198,a synthetic form of leonurine,is well known to possess anti-inflammatory effects.SCM-198 has been reported to display beneficial effects on endometritis.However,the specific mechanisms of SCM-198 in preventing endometritis remain unknown.In this study,we focused on the molecular mechanism of SCM-198 in inhibiting endometritis.The anti-inflammatory effects and the related signaling pathways of SCM-198 were studied in vitro using human endometrial stromal cells(hESCs).Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis results demonstrated that SCM-198 markedly inhibited lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced endometrial inflammatory response by suppressing the LPS-JNK-cJUN/cFOS-TLR4-NF-κB pathway.The preventive and therapeutic effects of SCM-198 on endometrial inflammation were explored by using a mouse model of LPS-induced endometritis.SCM-198 produced essentially the same effects when administered either post-treatment(after LPS)or pre-treatment(before LPS)via vaginal or intraperitoneal administration.In vivo results indicated that SCM-198 is a potential effective drug for the treatment of endometritis.Yikong Lin Yunyun Li Xinyi Li Xinhua Liu Xiaolin Wang Min Yu Yizhun Zhu Meirong Du 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,9:1
8Visible transparent,infrared stealthy polymeric films with nanocoating of ITO@MXene enable efficient passive radiative heating and solar/electric thermal conversion显示文摘Visible transparent yet low infrared-emissivity(ε)polymeric materials are highly anticipated in many applications,whereas the fabrication of which remains a formidable challenge.Herein,visible transparent,flexible,and low-εpolymeric films were fabricated by nanocoating decoration of indium tin oxide(ITO)and MXene on polyethylene terephthalate(PET)film surface through magnetron sputtering and spray coating,respectively.The obtained PET-ITO@MXene(PET-IM)film exhibits lowεof 24.7%and high visible transmittance exceeding 50%,endowing it with excellent visible transparent infrared stealthy by reducing human skin radiation temperature from 32 to 20.8°C,and remarkable zero-energy passive radiative heating capability(5.7°C).Meanwhile,the transparent low-εPET-IM film has high solar absorptivity and electrical conductivity,enabling superior solar/electric to thermal conversion performance.Notably,the three heating modes of passive radiative and active solar/electric can be integrated together to cope with complex heating scenarios.These visible transparent low-εpolymeric films are highly promising in infrared stealth,building daylighting and thermal management,and personal precision heating.Xingyuan Du Xiangxin Li Yuxuan Zhang Xinyi Guo Zhengji Li Yanxia Cao Yanyu Yang Wanjie Wang Jianfeng Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:1
9Melatonin regulates proliferation and apoptosis of endometrial stromal cells via MT1显示文摘Endometrial dysfunction is an important factor for implantation failure.The function of the endometrium is regulated by multiple factors like sex hormones and circadian rhythms.Endometrial stromal cells(ESCs)are a major cellular component in the endometrium,which is essential for proper physiological activities of the endometrium and the establishment of pregnancy.Melatonin,as a circadian-controlled hormone,plays beneficial roles in the regulation of reproductive processes.MT1,a melatonin receptor,can regulate cell proliferation and apoptosis.Whether melatonin-MT1 signal affects biological function of ESCs remains unknown.Here,we showed that MT1 was expressed in human ESCs(hESCs),which could be regulated by estrogen and progesterone.MT1 knockdown inhibited proliferative activity and promoted apoptosis of hESCs by activating caspase-3 and upregulating the Bax/Bcl2 ratio.Melatonin could reverse the effect of MT1 knockdown on proliferative activity and apoptosis of hESCs.Melatonin could promote proliferative activity of hESCs via the JNK/P38 signal pathway and repress the apoptosis of hESCs via the JNK signal pathway.Moreover,in vivo experiments showed that MT1 expression was decreased in endometrial cells from mice with disrupted circadian rhythm,accompanied by increased apoptosis and suppressed proliferative activity,which could be alleviated by administration of melatonin.These results showed the regulatory effect of melatonin-MT1 signal on biological behaviors of ESCs,which might provide a novel therapeutic strategy for endometrial dysfunction induced by disrupted circadian rhythm.Liyuan Cui Feng Xu Zhuxuan Jiang Songcun Wang Xinyi Li Yan Ding Ying Zhang Meirong Du 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,10:1

12Treatment of refractory H.pylori by Chai Ping Decoction:two case reports显示文摘目的:幽门螺杆菌感染是最常见的感染之一,目前已经广泛应用了很多医学治疗措施,比如四联疗法和序贯疗法。但部分患者经多次治疗仍有感染。在幽门螺杆菌感染的治疗中,中药得到了广泛的应用。对于反复感染幽门螺杆菌的患者,中医治疗与抗生素治疗相结合是否有效尚需临床观察。方法:报告2例难治性幽门螺杆菌感染病例。一例是一名60岁的中国妇女,诊断为慢性萎缩性胃炎和幽门螺杆菌感染,胃部不适,食欲不振,情绪低落,排便不规律。另一例是一名46岁的越南妇女,已经腹痛11年。我们采用柴平汤联合序贯治疗两例患者。结果:两例患者治疗后均疼痛缓解,幽门螺杆菌被根除。结论:中药联合序贯治疗可能清除幽门螺杆菌感染。根据中医理论,患者出现腹部不适症状,为脾虚湿气证,可以被较好的治疗。Heqing Chen Yawei Du Xiaoyi Tang Shuo Feng Xiaoli Wang Xinyi Li Yeyin Hu Youping Li Guihua Tian Bo Li 2018TMR Clinical Research2018,1,2:0
13Time headway distribution analysis of naturalistic road users based on aerial datasets显示文摘Purpose–Time headway(THW)is an essential parameter in traffic safety and is used as a typical control variable by many vehicle control algorithms,especially in safety-critical ADAS and automated driving systems.However,due to the randomness of human drivers,THW cannot be accurately represented,affecting scholars’more profound research.Design/methodology/approach–In this work,two data sets are used as the experimental data to calculate the goodness-of-fit of 18 commonly used distribution models of THW to select the best distribution model.Subsequently,the characteristic parameters of traffic flow are extracted from the data set,and three variables with higher importance are extracted using the random forest model.Combining the best distribution model parameters of the data set,this study obtained a distribution model with adaptive parameters,and its performance and applicability are verified.Findings–In this work,two data sets are used as the experimental data to calculate the goodness-of-fit of 18 commonly used distribution models of THW to select the best distribution model.Subsequently,the characteristic parameters of traffic flow are extracted from the data set,and three variables with higher importance are extracted using the random forest model.Combining the best distribution model parameters of the data set,this study obtained a distribution model with adaptive parameters,and its performance and applicability are verified.Originality/value–The results show that the proposed model has a 62.7%performance improvement over the distribution model with fixed parameters.Moreover,the parameter function of the distribution model can be regarded as a quantitative analysis of the degree of influence of the traffic flow state on THW.Ruilin Yu Yuxin Zhang Luyao Wang Xinyi Du 2022Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles2022,5,3:0
14Correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and atherothrombotic stroke显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that Helicobacter pylori infection is associated with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, but the correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and ischemic stroke remains unclear. The present study assessed the effects of Helicobacter pylori infection on atherothrombotic stroke. This study included 115 individuals with atherothrombotic stroke, all of whom were patients receiving treatment at the Department of Neurology, Aerospace Central Hos-pital (Aerospace Clinical Medical College Affiliated to Peking University) in China, from March 2006 to July 2009. In addition, 131 controls without the history of cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease or atherothrombosis were also enrolled in the study. Results show that the Helicobacter pylori-IgG positive rate was greater in the atherothrombotic stroke patients than in the controls, but the difference was not statistically significant (67.8% vs. 61.8%, OR = 1.301, 95%CI: 0.769–2.203, P = 0.327). After correction for potential risk factors for Helicobacter pylori infection and known risk factors for ischemic stroke, no significant difference was detected between them (OR = 1.278, 95%CI: 0.667–2.449, P = 0.459). These results indicate that there is no specific correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and atherothrombotic stroke. 15Design of a Minimally Actuated Lower Limb Exoskeleton with Mechanical Joint Coupling显示文摘Powered lower limb exoskeletons have traditionally used four or more powered joints to provide ambulation assistance for individuals with spinal cord injury.Exoskeletons with numerous powered joints commonly lost some excellent features of passive orthoses and further decreased utility due to added weight and increased control complexity.This work adopts joints coupling mechanism to design a powered exoskeleton to minimize the number of actuated joints and control complexity.Unlike conventional powered exoskeletons,the joint-coupled-powered exoskeleton only has a single motor-actuated joint for each exoskeleton leg in conjunction with a unique knee coupled system to enable their users to walk,sit,and stand.And two types of joint coupled systems are designed,respectively,hip-knee coupled and knee-ankle coupled.The joint-coupled-powered exoskeleton system allows a single actuator to power the hip motion,and allows activate knee motion through the coupled motions of the hip or ankle.More specifically,when the mechanical coupled system is activated,the knee joint is unlocked,resulting in synchronized hip-knee or ankle-knee flexion and extension.The coupling mechanism is switched on and off at specific phases of the gait(the stance phase and the swing phase)to generate the desired motions.The research work proves that minimal actuated robotic systems with joint coupled could achieve safe and natural walking.Hui Li Hongliu Yu Yingwei Chen Xinyi Tang Duojin Wang Qiaoling Meng Qing Du 2022Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,2:0

17Au/Ag_(2)S dimeric nanostructures for highly specific plasmonic sensing of mercury(Ⅱ)显示文摘Although many plasmonic nanosenosrs have been established for the detection of mercury(Ⅱ)(Hg^(2+)),few of them is feasible for analyzing natural samples with very complex matrices because of insufficient method selectivity.To address this challenge,we propose an epitaxial and lattice-mismatch approach to the synthesis of a unique Au/Ag_(2)S dimeric nanostructure,which consists of an Au segment with excellent plasmonic characteristics,and a highly stable Ag_(2)S portion with minimum solubility product (K_(sp)(Ag_(2)S)=6.3×10^(-50)).The detection relies on the chemical conversion of Ag_(2)S to HgS when reacting with Hg^(2+),resulting in a red shift in the absorption band of the connecting Au NPs.The concurrent color changes of the solution from gray purple to dark green and finally to navy correlate well with Hg^(2+)concentration,thus enables UV-vis quantitation and a naked-eye readout of the Hg^(2+)concentration.This method exhibits superior selectivity towards Hg^(2+) over other interfering ions tested because Hg^(2+) is the only ion that can react with Ag_(2)S to form HgS with even smaller solubility product (K_(sp)(HgS)=4×10^(-53)).The detection limit of this method is 1.21μmol/L,calculated by the signal-to-noise of 3.The practicability of the method was verified by analyzing the Hg^(2+)in sewage water samples without sample pretreatment with satisfactory recoveries (93.1%-102.8%) and relative standard deviations (1.38%-2.89%).We believe this method holds great potential for on-the-spot detection of Hg^(2+) in environmental water samples with complex matrices.Xinyi Liang Xu Du Ao Liu Zhixiong Cai Jingwen Li Maosheng Zhang Qingxiang Wang Jingbin Zeng 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,3:0

19Generation of mode‑locked states of conventional solitons and bright‑dark solitons in graphene mode‑locked fber laser显示文摘This paper proposes a mode-locked fber laser based on graphene-coated microfber.The total length of the fber laser resonant cavity is 31.34 m.Under the condition of stable output of bright-dark soliton pairs from the fber laser,dual-wavelength tuning is realized by adjusting the polarization controller(PC),and the wavelength tuning range is 11 nm.Furthermore,the efects of polarization states on bright-dark solitons are studied.It is demonstrated that the mode-locking state can be switched between conventional solitons and bright-dark solitons in the graphene mode-locked fber laser.Bright-dark soliton pairs with diferent shapes and nanosecond pulse width can be obtained by adjusting the PC and pump power.Zixiong Li Mingyu Li Xinyi Hou Lei Du Lin Xiao Tianshu Wang Wanzhuo Ma 2023Frontiers of Optoelectronics2023,16,2:0
20Recent progress in theranostic microbubbles显示文摘Ultrasonography is an important complement to clinical diagnosis,and the application of microbubbles effectively improved diagnostic accuracy in echography.In scientific research,the sizes of microbubbles range from nanometers to microns.By optimizing the fabrication process,bubble sizes and ultrasound parameters,microbubbles can also be used for drug delivery and therapeutic monitoring.In this review,we summarize the recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of microbubbles according to their different components.Modification of microbubble shells allows for more accurate imaging and detection and the combined utilization of US-targeted MB destruction(UTMD)allows for non-invasive,precise and targeted delivery of drug molecules to pathological tissues.These features pave the way for the emerge of theranostic microbubbles by combination of functional compositions and the application of multifunctional materials.Theranostic microbubbles allow for the simultaneous process of diagnosis,visualization of drug delivery and therapeutic monitoring.Ultimately,theranostic microbubbles are promising in clinical practice and would enhance contrast-enhanced US(CEUS)to a new qualitative level.Ziyao Wang Ziyan Feng Fangxue Du Xi Xiang Xinyi Tang Li Qiu Zhiyong Qian 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,9:0
