| 1 | Nd isotopic compositions of the Tethyan Himalayan Sequence in southeastern Tibet显示文摘The Himalayan orogen consists of three major lithologic units that are separated by two major north-dipping faults: the Lesser Himalayan Sequence (LHS) below the Main Central Thrust (MCT), the Greater Himalayan Crystalline Complex (GHC) above the MCT, and the Tethyan Himalayan Sequence (THS) juxtaposed by the South Tibet Detachment fault (STD) over the GHC. Due to widespread meta-morphism and intense deformation, differentiating the above three lithologic units is often difficult. This problem has been overcome by the use of Sm-Nd isotopic analysis. The previous studies suggested that the LHS can be clearly distinguished from the GHC and THS by their Nd isotope compositions. However, the lack of detailed and systematic Sm-Nd isotopic studies of the THS across the Himalaya in general has made differentiation of this unit from the nearby GHC impossible, as the two appear to share overlapping Nd compositions and model ages. To address this problem, we systematically sam-pled and analyzed Nd isotopes of the THS in southeastern Tibet directly north of Bhutan. Our study identifies two distinctive fields in a εNd -TDM plot. The first is defined by the εNd(210 Ma) values of -3.45 to -7.34 and TDM values of 1.15 to 1.29 Ga from a Late Triassic turbidite sequence, which are broadly similar to those obtained from the Lhasa block. The second field is derived from the Early Cretaceous meta-sedimentary rocks with εNd(130 Ma) values from -15.24 to -16.61 and TDM values from 1.63 to 2.00 Ga; these values are similar to those obtained from the Greater Himalayan Crystalline Complex in Bhutan directly south of our sampling traverse, which has εNd(130 Ma) values of -10.89 to -16.32 and Nd model ages (TDM) of 1.73 to 2.20 Ga. From the above observations, we suggest that the Late Triassic strata of the southeast Tibetan THS were derived from the Lhasa block in the north, while the Early Cretaceous strata of the THS were derived from a source similar to the High Himalayan Crystalline Complex or Indian craton in the south. Our interpretation is consistent with the existing palaeocurrent data and provenance analysis of the Late Triassic strata in southeastern Tibet, which indicate the sediments derived from a northern source. | 2 | Design,methodology,and baseline of whole city‑million scale children and adolescents myopia survey(CAMS)in Wenzhou,China显示文摘Background:Myopia is the most common visual impairment in children and adolescents worldwide.This study described an economical and effective population-based screening pipeline and performed the project of a million scale children and adolescents myopia survey(CAMS),which will shed light on the further study of myopia from the level of epidemiology and precision medicine.Methods:We developed a novel population-based screening pattern,an intelligent screening process and internetbased information transmission and analysis system to carry out the survey consisting of school children in Wenzhou,China.The examination items include unaided distance visual acuity,presenting distance visual acuity,and noncycloplegic autorefraction.Myopia and high myopia were defined as spherical equivalent(SE)≤−1.00 diopters(D)and SE≤−6.00 D,respectively.Next,the reports of the vision checking were automatically sent to parents and the related departments.The CAMS project will be done two to four times annually with the support of the government.An online eyesight status information management system(OESIMS)was developed to construct comprehensive and efficient electronic vision health records(EVHRs)for myopia information inquiry,risk pre-warning,and further study.Results:The CAMS completed the first-round of screening within 30 days for 99.41%of Wenzhou students from districts and counties,in June 2019.A total of 1,060,925 participants were eligible for CAMS and 1,054,251(99.37%participation rate)were selected through data quality control,which comprised 1305 schools,and 580,609,251,050 and 170,967 elementary,middle,and high school students.The mean age of participants was 12.21±3.32 years(6-20 years),the female-to-male ratio was 0.82.The prevalence of myopia in elementary,middle,and high school students was 38.16%,77.52%,and 84.00%,respectively,and the high myopia incidence was 0.95%,6.90%,and 12.98%.Conclusions:The CAMS standardized myopia screening model involves automating large-scale information collection,data transmission,data analysis and early warning,thereby supporting myopia prevention and control.The entire survey reduced 90%of staff,cost,and time consumption compared with previous surveys.This will provide new insights for decision support for public health intervention. | Liangde Xu Youyuan Zhuang Guosi Zhang Yunlong Ma Jian Yuan Changseng Tu MiaoMiao Li Wencan Wang Yaru Zhang Xiaoyan Lu Jing Li Xinting Liu Zhengbo Xue Meng Zhou Jie Sun Jinhua Bao Ming Li Fan Lu Hong Wang Jianzhong Su Jia Qu | 2021 | Eye and Vision2021,8,1: | 7 |
| 3 | Effect of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus subtilis on fermentation, dynamics of bacterial community and their functional shifts of whole-plant corn silage显示文摘Background:Bacillus amyloliquefaciens(BA)and Bacillus subtilis(BS)are usually used as feed supplements directly or bacterial inoculants in biological feeds for animals.However,few research have reported the effects of BA and BS on fermentation characteristics and bacterial community successions of whole-plant corn silage during ensiling.If the BA and BS inoculants have positive effects on silages,then they could not only improve fermentation characteristics,but also deliver BA or BS viable cells to ruminants,which would play its probiotic effect.Therefore,the objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of BA and BS on the fermentation,chemical characteristics,bacterial community and their metabolic pathway of whole-plant corn silage.Results:Freshly chopped whole-plant corn was inoculated without or with BA and BS,respectively,and ensiled for1,3,7,14 and 60 d.Results showed that BA and BS inoculations increased lactic acid concentrations of whole-plant corn silages compared with control,and BA inoculation decreased acetic acid concentrations,whereas BS inoculation decreased fiber contents and increased crude protein(CP)content.Higher water-soluble carbohydrate contents and lower starch contents were observed in BA-and BS-inoculated silages compared with that in control.The decreased CP content and increased non-protein nitrogen content were observed in BA-inoculated silage,which was consistent with the higher amino acid metabolism abundances observed in BA-inoculated silage.In addition,it was noteworthy that BA and BS inoculations increased the metabolism of cofactors and vitamins,and decreased the relative abundances of drug resistance:antimicrobial pathways.We also found that the bacterial metabolism pathways were clearly separated into three clusters based on the ensiling times of whole-plant corn silage in the present study.There were no significant differences in bacterial community compositions among the three groups during ensiling.However,BA and BS inoculations decreased the relative abundances of undesirable bacteria such as Acetobacter and Acinetobacter.Conclusion:Our findings suggested that the BS strain was more suitable as silage inoculants than the BA strain in whole-plant corn silage in this study. | Jie Bai Marcia Franco Zitong Ding Lin Hao Wencan Ke Musen Wang Dongmei Xie Ziqian Li Yixin Zhang Lin Ai Xusheng Guo | 2022 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,3: | 5 |

| 7 | Small extracellular vesicles with nanomorphology memory promote osteogenesis显示文摘Nanotopographical cues endow biomaterials the ability to guide cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. Cellular mechanical memory can maintain the cell status by retaining cellular information obtained from past mechanical microenvironments. Here, we propose a new concept “morphology memory of small extracellular vesicles (sEV)” for bone regeneration. We performed nanotopography on titanium plates through alkali and heat (Ti8) treatment to promote human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) differentiation. Next, we extracted the sEVs from the hMSC, which were cultured on the nanotopographical Ti plates for 21 days (Ti8-21-sEV). We demonstrated that Ti8-21-sEV had superior pro-osteogenesis ability in vitro and in vivo. RNA sequencing further confirmed that Ti8-21-sEV promote bone regeneration through osteogenic-related pathways, including the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, focal adhesion, and extracellular matrix-receptor interaction. Finally, we decorated the Ti8-21-sEV on a 3D printed porous polyetheretherketone scaffold. The femoral condyle defect model of rabbits was used to demonstrate that Ti8-21-sEV had the best bone ingrowth. In summary, our study demonstrated that the Ti8-21-sEV have memory function by copying the pro-osteogenesis information from the nanotopography. However, the mature development of RPCCs is seriously hindered by the inactivity and poor stability of air electrodes exposed to concentrated vapor under operating conditions. Herein, we report a high-entropy air electrode with the composition BaCo_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Sn_(0.2)Pr_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(BCFZSP), which shows integrated electronic, protonic and oxygenic conduction in a single perovskite phase and excellent structural stability in concentrated steam. Such triple conduction can spread the electrochemically active sites of the air electrode to the overall electrode surface, thus optimizing the kinetics of the oxygen reduction and evolution reactions(0.448 Ω cm^(2) of polarization resistance at 550℃). As-prepared RPCCs with a BCFZSP air electrode at 600℃ achieved a peak power density of 0.68 W/cm^(2) in fuel-cell mode and a current density of 0.92 A/cm^(2) under a 1.3 V applied voltage in electrolysis mode. More importantly, the RPCCs demonstrate an encouragingly high stability during 120 h of reversible switching between the fuelcell and electrolysis modes.
