| 2 | Risk factors of intra-abdominal bacterial infection after liver transplantation in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To explore the risk factors of intra-abdominal bacterial infection(IAI) after liver transplantation(LT) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Methods: A series of 82 HCC patients who received LT surgeries in our department between March 2004 and April 2010 was recruited in this study. Then we collected and analyzed the clinical data retrospectively. Statistical analysis system(SPSS) software was adopted to perform statistical analysis. Chi-square test, t-test and Wilcoxon rank sum test were used to analyze the clinical data and compute the significance of the incidences of early-stage IAI after LT for HCC patients. Binary logistic regression was performed to screen out the risk factors, and multiple logistic regression analyses were performed to compute the independent risk factors. Results: A series of 13 patients(13/82, 15.9%) had postoperative IAI. The independent risk factors of postoperative intra-abdominal bacterial infections after LT for HCC patients were preoperative anemia [Hemoglobin(HGB) <90 g/L] and postoperative abdominal hemorrhage(72 hours >400 mL), with the odds ratios at 8.121(95% CI, 1.417 to 46.550, P=0.019) and 5.911(95% CI, 1.112 to 31.432, P=0.037). Conclusions: Postoperative IAI after LT in patients with HCC was a common complication. | 3 | Antidepressant-Like Action of Single Facial Injection of Botulinum Neurotoxin A is Associated with Augmented 5-HT Levels and BDNF/ERK/CREB Pathways in Mouse Brain显示文摘The present study was designed to examine the therapeutic effects of Botulinum neurotoxin A(BoNT/A)on depression-like behaviors in mice and to explore the potential mechanisms.These results revealed that a single facial injection of BoNT/A induced a rapid and prolonged improvement of depression-like behaviors in naive and space-restriction-stressed(SRS)mice,reflected by a decreased duration of immobility in behavioral despair tests.BoNT/A significantly increased the 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)levels in several brain regions,including the hippocampus and hypothalamus,in SRS mice.BoNT/A increased the expression of the N-methyl-Daspartate receptor subunits NR1 and NR2 B in the hippocampus,which were significantly decreased in SRS mice.Furthermore,BoNT/A significantly increased the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)in the hippocampus,hypothalamus,prefrontal cortex,and amygdala,which were decreased in SRS mice.Finally,BoNT/A transiently increased the levels of phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(p-ERK)and cAMPresponse element binding protein(p-CREB),which were suppressed in the hippocampus of SRS mice.Collectively,these results demonstrated that BoNT/A treatment has antidepressant-like activity in mice,and this is associated with increased 5-HT levels and the activation of BDNF/ERK/CREB pathways in the hippocampus,supporting further investigation of BoNT/A therapy in depression. | Yang Li Jing Liu Xu Liu Cun-Jin Su Qi-Lin Zhang Zhi-Hong Wang Lei-Fang Cao Xue-Yan Guo Ya Huang Weifeng Luo Tong Liu | 2019 | Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,4: | 10 |
| 4 | Platelet-rich plasma accelerates skin wound healing by promoting re-epithelialization显示文摘Background:Autologous platelet-rich plasma(PRP)has been suggested to be effective for wound healing.However,evidence for its use in patients with acute and chronic wounds remains insufficient.The aims of this study were to comprehensively examine the effectiveness,synergy and possible mechanism of PRP-mediated improvement of acute skin wound repair.Methods:Full-thickness wounds were made on the back of C57/BL6 mice.PRP or saline solution as a control was administered to the wound area.Wound healing rate,local inflammation,angiogenesis,re-epithelialization and collagen deposition were measured at days 3,5,7 and 14 after skin injury.The biological character of epidermal stem cells(ESCs),which reflect the potential for re-epithelialization,was further evaluated in vitro and in vivo.Results:PRP strongly improved skin wound healing,which was associated with regulation of local inflammation,enhancement of angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.PRP treatment significantly reduced the production of inflammatory cytokines interleukin-17A and interleukin-1β.An increase in the local vessel intensity and enhancement of re-epithelialization were also observed in animals with PRP administration and were associated with enhanced secretion of growth factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor and insulin-like growth factor-1.Moreover,PRP treatment ameliorated the survival and activated the migration and proliferation of primary cultured ESCs,and these effects were accompanied by the differentiation of ESCs into adult cells following the changes of CD49f and keratin 10 and keratin 14.Conclusion:PRP improved skin wound healing by modulating inflammation and increasing angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.However,the underlying regulatory mechanism needs to be investigated in the future.Our data provide a preliminary theoretical foundation for the clinical administration of PRP in wound healing and skin regeneration. | Pengcheng Xu Yaguang Wu Lina Zhou Zengjun Yang Xiaorong Zhang Xiaohong Hu Jiacai Yang Mingying Wang Binjie Wang Gaoxing Luo Weifeng He Biao Cheng | 2020 | Burns & Trauma2020,8,1: | 8 |
| 5 | Comparative study on local and global mechanical properties of bobbin tool and conventional friction stir welded 7085-T7452 aluminum thick plate显示文摘7085-T7452 plates with a thickness of 12 mm were welded by conventional single side and bobbin tool friction stir welding(SS-FSW and BB-FSW, respectively) at different welding parameters. The temperature distribution, microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of joints along the thickness direction were investigated, and digital image correlation(DIC) was utilized to evaluate quantitatively the deformation of different zones during tensile tests. The results indicated that heat-affected zone(HAZ), the local softening region, was responsible for the early plastic deformation and also the fracture location for SS-FSW samples, while a rapid fracture was observed in weld nugget zone(WNZ) before yield behavior for all BB-FSW specimens. The ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of SS-FSW joints presented the highest value of 410 MPa, 82% of the base material, at a rotational speed of 300 rpm and welding speed of 60 mm/min,much higher than that of BB-FSW joints, with a joint efficiency of only 47%. This should be attributed to the Lazy S defect produced by a larger extent of heat input during the BB-FSW process. The whole joint exhibited a much higher elongation than the slices. | 6 | “Wrapping the gastroduodenal artery stump” during pancreatoduodenectomy reduced the stump hemorrhage incidence after operation显示文摘Objective: After pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD), the postoperative gastroduodenal artery stump(GDAS) hemorrhage is one of the most serious complications. The purpose of this study is to determine whether wrapping the GDAS during PD could decrease the postoperative GDAS hemorrhage incidence.Methods: A retrospective review involving 280 patients who underwent PD from 2005 to 2012 was performed. Wrapping the GDAS during PD was defined as 'Wrapping the GDAS using the teres hepatis ligamentum during PD'. A total of 140 patients accepted the 'wrapping' procedure(wrapping group). The other 140 patients didn't apply the procedure(non-wrapping group). Age, sex, preoperative data, estimated intraoperative blood loss, postoperative complications, pathologic parameters and hospitalization time were compared between two groups.Results: There were no significant differences in patient characteristics between two groups. After wrapping, the incidence of postoperative GDAS bleeding decreased significantly(1/140 vs. 9/140, P=0.01). The rates of the other complications(such as intra-abdominal infection pancreatic fistula, billiary fistula, gastrointestinal bleeding, et al.) showed no significant differences. Conclusions: Wrapping the GDAS during PD significantly reduced the postoperative GDAS hemorrhage incidence. | 12 | Investigations on femtosecond laser-induced surface modification and periodic micropatterning with anti-friction properties on Ti6Al4V titanium alloy显示文摘Titanium alloys have a wide application in aerospace industries as it has greater strength and low density, but it has poor tribological properties. To improve its friction and wear performance, in present work, a femtosecond laser is used to directly irradiate the Ti6Al4V titanium alloy surface in air conditioning, which results in localized ablation and the formation of periodic microstructures but also a strong pressure wave, propagating the material inside. Through the optimization of processing parameters, surface modification and periodic micropatterning with effective anti-friction properties were successfully induced on the surface. After a treatment of femtosecond laser-induced surface modification(FsLSM), the surface microhardness was improved by 16.6% and compressive residual stress reached-746 MPa. Besides, laser-induced periodic surface structures(LIPSS) with a titanium oxide outer coating were fabricated uniformly on the titanium alloy surface. Rotary ball-on-disk wear experiments revealed that the average coefficient of friction(COF) and wear mass loss of the specimen with Fs LSM treatment were largely reduced by 68.9% and 90% as compared to that of untreated specimens, respectively. It was analyzed that the reason for the remarkable wear resistance was attributed to the comprehensive action of the generation of LIPSS, the titanium oxide outer coating, high amplitude compressive residual stress and gradient grain size distribution on the subsurface during the laser surface treatment. Chronic inflammatory pain was induced in rats by intraplantar injection of the complete Freud adjuvant (CFA)to one of the hind paws.Control rats received intraplantar injection of equal volume of saline.A significant increase of CCL2 mRNA and CCL2 receptor (CCR2)protein expression was detected in the ipsilateral dorsal root ganglion (DRG)in CFA-treated rats.lntrapiantar injection of CCL2 protein in the control rats had minimal effect on the paw withdrawal threshold (PWT)in response to mechanical stimulation.However,in CFA-treated rats,intraplantar CCL2 led to an increase in pain responses.Patchclamp recording of acutely dissociated DRG neurons revealed that CCL2 had minimum effect on the excitability of sensory neurons from control rats.However,CCL2 directly depolarized a large proportion of small to medium-sized sensory neurons from CFA-treated rats.In addition,CCL2 was found to enhance whole-cell TTX-sensitive sodium currents without significantly affecting the TTX-resistant sodium currents and the potassium currents.These results are in agreement with previous reports concerning the involvement of CCL2-CCR2 signaling in inflammatory hyperalgesia and further indicate that enhanced TTX-sensitive channel activity may partly underlie the pronociceptive effects of CCL2. | Ping Luo Jiayun Shao Yingfu Jiao Weifeng Yu Weifang Rong | 2018 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2018,50,12: | 2 |

| 19 | Characteristics and Mechanism of Upper Permian Reef Reservoirs in the Eastern Longgang Area, Northeastern Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘As a typical kind of lithologic reservoirs,reef reservoirs are generally featured by their large single-well reservoir thickness,good reservoir physical properties,and high gas well productivity.The Upper Permian Changxing Formation is an important natural gas exploration target in the Sichuan Basin,which hosts a large reef gas reservoir and is mainly distributed along the Kaijiang-Liangping Trough.Comprehensive analyses are implemented to investigate reservoir characteristics and identify controlling factors of reef reservoirs in Changxing Formation in the Eastern Longgang Area,Northeastern Sichuan Basin,including core,logging,and seismic data analyses.Changxing Formation reservoirs in the study area mainly occur in the reef-shoal complex,which are featured by wide distribution,large thickness and generally good physical properties.Reservoir rocks are dominantly composed of bioclastic dolomite and silty-fine dolomite(with grain phantom structure),while the main reservoir space consists of residual intergranular pores,intergranular dissolution pores,and karst vugs.In the seismic profiles,typical mound-shaped chaotic reflections can be clearly seen.It is suggested by the main reservoir development controlling factor analysis that the distributions of reef reservoirs are typically controlled by sedimentary facies belts,while the scale of the reef-shoal complex is determined by the pene-sedimentary micro-paleo-geomorphology.Dolomitization can not only significantly preserve the primary pores but also enhance the permeability of rocks.Moreover,karstification is the key to high-quality reef-shoal reservoirs. | Lei Tan Hong Liu Yuzhe Tang Bing Luo Ya Zhang Yuran Yang Yisha Liao Weifeng Du Xiran Yang | 2020 | Petroleum2020,6,2: | 1 |
