| 2 | Analysis of the Fungal Community in Apple Replanted Soil Around Bohai Gulf显示文摘Apple replant disease(ARD) is a frequently occurring plant disease in replanted orchards around Bohai Gulf, which causes growth inhibition and even death of plants. The aim of this study was to investigate the etiology of ARD around Bohai Gulf. In this study, the primary growth inhibition of apple seedlings was evaluated in ten replanted soils, sampled around Bohai Gulf. A fungal clone library was used to identify changes in the structure and composition of the soil fungal community. The results revealed that the Simpson diversity indices of Laizhou and Pulandian orchards were higher than others, presenting severe ARD. Ascomycota dominated around Bohai Gulf at the phyla level. Fusarium and Saccharomyces were abundant in all replanted soils. In addition, correlations between the relative abundance of fungal genera in soils and the severity of ARD were analyzed. The results showed that Fusarium was correlated positively with the severity of ARD, but Mortierella was negatively correlated. Furthermore, the quantitative PCR of Fusarium oxysporum, which was regarded as a factor of ARD, was performed. | 4 | High-voltage Ride Through Strategy for DFIG Considering Converter Blocking of HVDC System显示文摘This paper presents a P-Q coordination based highvoltage ride through(HVRT) control strategy for doubly fed induction generators(DFIGs) based on a combined Q-V control and P-V de-loading control. The active/reactive power injection effect of DFIG on transient overvoltage is firstly analyzed and the reactive power capacity evaluation of DFIG considering its de-loading operation is then conducted. In the proposed strategy, the reactive power limit of DFIG can be flexibly extended during the transient process in coordination with its active power adjustment. As a result, the transient overvoltage caused by DC bipolar block can be effectively suppressed. Moreover, key outer loop parameters such as Q-V control coefficient and deloading coefficient can be determined based on the voltage level of point of common coupling(PCC) and the available power capacity of DFIG. | 6 | Detrital Zircon Geochronology of the Radial Sand Ridge System of Jiangsu Coast, East China: Implication for Sediment Provenance显示文摘The radial sand ridge system(RSRS) located at Jiangsu coast of China attracts much attention on its origin and mechanic of formation for its special structure and potential land resource. Due to complicated hydrodynamic condition, the Jiangsu RSRS is a hot debated on its potential sources, Yangtze River or Yellow River? We collected ten sand samples from surface sediments along the west coast of Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea from the modern Yellow River estuary to Yangtze River estuary in summer, 2013. The samples are analyzed by method of detrital zircon age for source identification of the RSRS sediments. The U-Pb age spectra of detrital zircon grains of the samples show a wide range from Cenozoic to Late Archean with several age peaks. Comparing the age spectra between the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, the detrital zircons have younger age(<100 Ma) group in the Yangtze River. These age distribution of the Jiangsu coastal RSRS sediments are similar to that of the Yangtze River, but different from the Yellow River. The samples located adjacent to the old Yellow River Delta show more wide-range age distribution, implying a compounded origination from the both rivers. Based on these findings it is proposed that, contrary to common opinion, the main sediment source of the Jiangsu RSRS is the Yangtze River, rather than the Yellow River. By implication, there should be evidence of hydrodynamic mechanics of oceanic currents and tidal motion. | 7 | SmMYB2 promotes salvianolic acid biosynthesis in the medicinal herb Salvia miltiorrhiza显示文摘MYB transcription factors play vital roles in plant growth and metabolism.The phytohormone methyl jasmonate(MeJA)promotes phenolic acid accumulation in the medicinal herb Salvia miltiorrhiza,but the regulatory mechanism is poorly understood.Here,we identified the MeJA-responsive R2R3-MYB transcription factor gene 5mMYB2 from a transcriptome library produced from MeJAtreated S.mi'/horr/ifza hairy roots.Sm/VIYB2 expression was tightly correlated with the expression of key salvianolic acid biosynthetic genes including CYP^8Ai^.5mMYB2 was highly expressed in the periderm of S.miltiorrhiza and SmMYB2 localized to the nucleus.Overexpressing Sml\AYB2 in S.miltiorrhiza hairy roots significantly increased the levels of salvianolic acids(including rosmarinic acid and salvianolic acid B)by upregulating salvianolic acid biosynthetic genes such as CYP98A14.SmMYB2 binds to the MYB-binding motifs in the promoter of CYP98A14,as confirmed by a dual-luciferase assay and electrophoretic mobility shift assays.Anthocyanin contents were significantly higher in Sm/ViyB2-overexpressing hairy root lines than the control,primarily due to the increased expression of CHI,DFR,and ANS.These findings reveal the novel regulatory role of SmMYB2 in MeJA-mediated phenolic acid biosynthesis,providing a useful target gene for metabolic engineering and shedding light on the salvianolic acid regulatory network. | Changping Deng Yao Wang Fenfen Huang Sunjie Lu Limei Zhao Xingyuan Ma Guoyin Kai | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,11: | 6 |

| 10 | N-acetyltransferase 10 promotes colon cancer progression by inhibiting ferroptosis through N4-acetylation and stabilization of ferroptosis suppressor protein 1 (FSP1) mRNA显示文摘Background:N-acetyltransferase 10(NAT10)is the only enzyme known tomediate the N4-acetylcytidine(ac4C)modification of mRNA and is crucial formRNA stability and translation efficiency.However,its role in cancer development and prognosis has not yet been explored.This study aimed to examine the possible role of NAT10 in colon cancer.Methods:The expression levels ofNAT10were evaluated by immunohistochemical analyses with a colon cancer tissue microarray,and its prognostic value in patients was further analyzed.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)and Western blotting were performed to analyze NAT10 expression in harvested colon cancer tissues and cell lines.Stable NAT10-knockdown and NAT10-overexpressing colon cancer cell lines were constructed using lentivirus.The biological functions of NAT10 in colon cancer cell lines were analyzed in vitro by Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8),wound healing,Transwell,cell cycle,and ferroptosis assays.Xenograft models were used to analyze the effect of NAT10 on the tumorigenesis and metastasis of colon cancer cells in vivo.Dot blotting,acetylated RNA immunoprecipitation-qPCR,and RNA stability analyses were performed to explore the mechanism by which NAT10 functions in colon cancer progression.Results:NAT10 was upregulated in colon cancer tissues and various colon cancer cell lines.This increased NAT10 expression was associated with shorter patient survival.Knockdown of NAT10 in two colon cancer cell lines(HT-29 and LoVo)impaired the proliferation,migration,invasion,tumor formation and metastasis of these cells,whereas overexpression of NAT10 promoted these abilities.Further analysis revealed that NAT10 exerted a strong effect on the mRNA stability and expression of ferroptosis suppressor protein 1(FSP1)in HT-29 and LoVo cells.In these cells,FSP1 mRNA was found to be modified by ac4C acetylation,and this epigenetic modification was associated with the inhibition of ferroptosis.Conclusions:Our study revealed that NAT10 plays a critical role in colon cancer development by affecting FSP1 mRNA stability and ferroptosis,suggesting that NAT10 could be a novel prognostic and therapeutic target in colon cancer. | Xiao Zheng Qi Wang You Zhou Dachuan Zhang Yiting Geng Wenwei Hu Changping Wu Yufang Shi Jingting Jiang | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022,42,12: | 3 |

| 12 | The methyl jasmonate-responsive transcription factor SmMYB1 promotes phenolic acid biosynthesis in Salvia miltiorrhiza显示文摘Water-soluble phenolic acids are major bioactive compounds in the medicinal plant species Salvia miltiorrhiza.Phenolic acid biosynthesis is induced by methyl jasmonate(MeJA)in this important Chinese herb.Here,we investigated the mechanism underlying this induction by analyzing a transcriptome library of S.miltiorrhiza in response to MeJA.Global transcriptome analysis identified the MeJA-responsive R2R3-MYB transcription factor-encoding gene SmMYB1.Overexpressing SmMYB1 significantly promoted phenolic acid accumulation and upregulated the expression of genes encoding key enzymes in the phenolic acid biosynthesis pathway,including cytochrome P450-dependent monooxygenase(CYP98A14).Dual-luciferase(dual-LUC)assays and/or an electrophoretic mobility shift assays(EMSAs)indicated that SmMYB1 activated the expression of CYP98A14,as well as the expression of genes encoding anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway enzymes,including chalcone isomerase(CHI)and anthocyanidin synthase(ANS).In addition,SmMYB1 was shown to interact with SmMYC2 to additively promote CYP98A14 expression compared to the action of SmMYB1 alone.Taken together,these results demonstrate that SmMYB1 is an activator that improves the accumulation of phenolic acids and anthocyanins in S.miltiorrhiza.These findings lay the foundation for in-depth studies of the molecular mechanism underlying MeJA-mediated phenolic acid biosynthesis and for the metabolic engineering of bioactive ingredients in S.miltiorrhiza. | Wei Zhou Min Shi Changping Deng Sunjie Lu Fenfen Huang Yao Wang Guoyin Kai | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 3 |
| 13 | Horizontal and vertical gene transfer drive sediment antibiotic resistome in an urban lagoon system显示文摘Rapid urbanization has resulted in pervasive occurrence of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)in urban aquatic ecosystems.However,limited information is available concerning the ARG profiles and the forces responsible for their assembly in urban landscape lagoon systems.Here,we employed high-throughput quantitative PCR(HT-q PCR)to characterize the spatial variations of ARGs in surface and core sediments of Yundang Lagoon,China.The results indicated that the average richness and absolute abundance of ARGs were 11 and 53 times higher in the lagoon sediments as compared to pristine reference Tibetan lake sediments,highlighting the role of anthropogenic activities in ARG pollution.Co-occurrence network analysis indicated that various anaerobic prokaryotic genera belonging to Alpha-,Deltaproteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Euryarchaeota,Firmicutes and Synergistetes were the potential hosts of ARGs.The partial least squares-path modeling(PLS-PM)analysis revealed positive and negative indirect effects of physicochemical factors and heavy metals on the lagoon ARG profiles,via biotic factors,respectively.The horizontal(mediated by mobile genetic elements)and vertical(mediated by prokaryotic communities)gene transfer may directly contribute the most to drive the abundance and composition of ARGs,respectively.Furthermore,the neutral community model demonstrated that the assembly of sediment ARG communities was jointly governed by deterministic and stochastic processes.Overall,this study provides novel insights into the diversity and distribution of ARGs in the benthic habitat of urban lagoon systems and underlying mechanisms for the spread and proliferation of ARGs. | Hongjie Wang Liyuan Hou Yongqin Liu Keshao Liu Lanping Zhang Fuyi Huang Lin Wang Azhar Rashid Anyi Hu Changping Yu | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 2 |

A surface M HPn is called totally real, if at each point p ∈ M the tangent plane TpM is perpendicular to I(TpM),J(TpM) and K(TpM). It is known that any surface M RPn HPn is totally real, where RPn HPn is the standard embedding of real projective space in HPn induced by the inclusion R in H, and that there are totally real surfaces in HPn which don't come from this way. In this paper we show that any totally real minimal 2-sphere in HPn is isometric to a full minimal 2-sphere in RP2m RPn HPn with 2m ≤ n.
