1Detection of plant leaf diseases using image segmentation and soft computing techniques显示文摘Agricultural productivity is something on which economy highly depends.This is the one of the reasons that disease detection in plants plays an important role in agriculture field,as having disease in plants are quite natural.If proper care is not taken in this area then it causes serious effects on plants and due to which respective product quality,quantity or productivity is affected.For instance a disease named little leaf disease is a hazardous disease found in pine trees in United States.Detection of plant disease through some automatic technique is beneficial as it reduces a large work of monitoring in big farms of crops,and at very early stage itself it detects the symptoms of diseases i.e.when they appear on plant leaves.This paper presents an algorithm for image segmentation technique which is used for automatic detection and classification of plant leaf diseases.It also covers survey on different diseases classification techniques that can be used for plant leaf disease detection.Image segmentation,which is an important aspect for disease detection in plant leaf disease,is done by using genetic algorithm.Vijai Singh A.K.Misra 2017Information Processing in Agriculture2017,4,1:28

4Effects of heavy metal pollution of highway origin on soil nematode guilds in North Shenyang, China显示文摘Soil samples were collected with distance at 5,20,40,80,160,and 320 m from the Shen-Ha(Shenyang-Harbin) Highway,Northeast China,to investigate the effect of heavy metals of highway origin on soil nematode guilds.The contents of soil Pb,Cu,Zn,and the nematode community structure were analyzed.The results showed that the contents of total and available Pb,Cu,Zn varied significantly with the different distances from the highway.Pb was the main pollutant in the soils in the vicinity of Shen-Ha Highway.The zone from 20 to 40 m away from the highway was the most polluted area.The highest abundance of soil nematodes was found at 5 m while the lowest at 20 m away from the highway.Thirty six genera of nematodes belonging to 23 families were identified.Nematode guilds having different responses to soil heavy metals were classified into four types.Soil nematode guilds may act as a prominent indicator to heavy metal pollution of highway origin.HAN Dechang ZHANG Xiaoke TOMAR Vijay Vikram Singh LI Qi WEN Dazhong LIANG Wenju 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,2:10
5Debris Flow Hazard Assessment Using Set Pair Analysis Models:Take Beichuan County as an Example显示文摘Assessment of debris flow hazards is important for developing measures to mitigate the loss of life and property and to minimize environmental damage. Two modified uncertainty models, Set Pair Analysis(SPA) and modified Set Pair Analysis(mSPA), were suggested to assess the regional debris flow hazard. A case study was conducted in seven towns of the Beichuan county,Sichuan Province, China, to test and compare the application of these two models in debris flow hazard assessment. The results showed that mSPA only can fit for value-variables, but not for non value-variable assessment indexes, Furthermore, as for a given assessment index xi, mSPA only considers two cases,namely, when grade value increases with xi and when grade value decreases with xi. Thus, mSPA can not be used for debris flow hazard assessment but SPA is credible for the assessment because there are no limitations when using SPA model to assess the debris flow hazard. 6Intraoperative blood loss in orthotopic liver transplantation:The predictive factors显示文摘Liver transplantation has been associated with massive blood loss and considerable transfusion requirements. Bleeding in orthotopic liver transplantation is multifactorial. Technical difficulties inherent to this complex surgical procedure and pre operative derangements of the primary and secondary coagulation system are thought to be the principal causes of perioperative hemorrhage. Intraoperative practices such as massive fluid resuscitation and resulting hypothermia and hypocalcemia secondary to citrate toxicity further aggravate the preexisting coagulopathy and worsen the perioperative bleeding. Excessive blood loss and transfusion during orthotopic liver transplant are correlated with diminished graft survival and increased septic episodes and prolonged ICU stay. With improvements in surgical skills, anesthetic technique, graft preservation, use of intraoperative cell savers and overall perioperative management, orthotopic liver transplant is now associated with decreased intra operative blood losses. 7Animal models of human colorectal cancer:Current status, uses and limitations显示文摘AIM: To make orthotopic colon cancer murine modelsa more clearly understood subject. The orthotopic tumor models have been found to be more relevant in replicating the human disease process as compared to heterotopic models, many techniques for making orthotopic colorectal murine models have been reported.METHODS: We evaluated the current literature for various reported orthotopic colon cancer models to understand their techniques, advantages and limitations. An extensive literature review was performed by searching the National Library of Medicine Database(Pub Med) using Me SH terms animal model; colon cancer; orthotopic model; murine model. Twenty studies related to colon cancer orthotopic xenograft model were evaluated in detail and discussed here. RESULTS: The detailed analysis of all relevant reports on orthotopic model showed tumor take rate between 42%-100%. While models using the enema technique and minimally invasive technique have reported development of tumor from mucosa with tumor take rate between 87%-100% with metastasis in 76%-90%.CONCLUSION: Over the years, the increased understanding of the murine models of human colon cancer has resulted in the development of various models. Each reported model has some limitations. 8Sunflower leaf diseases detection using image segmentation based on particle swarm optimization显示文摘Sun flower(Helianthus annuus L.)is one of the important oil seed crops and potentially fit in agricultural system and oil production sector of India.Sunflower crop gets damaged by the impact of various diseases,insects and nematodes resulting in wide range of loss in production.Disease detection is possible through naked eye observation,but this method is unsuccessful when one has to monitor the large farms.As a solution to this problem,we developed and present a system for segmentation and classification of Sunflower leaf images.This research paper presents surveys conducted on different diseases classification techniques that can be used for sunflower leaf disease detection.Segmentation of Sunflower leaf images,which is an important aspect for disease classification,is done by using Particle swarm optimization algorithm.Satisfactory results have been given by the experiments done on leaf images.The average accuracy of classification of proposed algorithm is 98.0%compared to 97.6 and 92.7%reported in state-of-the-art methods.Vijai Singh 2019Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture2019,,3:5

14Changing picture of renal cortical necrosis in acute kidney injury in developing country显示文摘Renal cortical necrosis(RCN) is characterized by patchy or diffuse ischemic destruction of all the elements of renal cortex resulting from significantly diminished renal arterial perfusion due to vascular spasm and microvascular injury. In addition, direct endothelial injury particularly in setting of sepsis, eclampsia, haemolytic uremic syndrome(HUS) and snake bite may lead to endovascular thrombosis with subsequent renal ischemia. Progression to end stage renal disease is a rule in diffuse cortical necrosis. It is a rare cause of acute kidney injury(AKI) in developed countries with frequency of 1.9%-2% of all patients with AKI. In contrast, RCN incidence is higher in developing countries ranging between 6%-7% of all causes of AKI. Obstetric complications(septic abortion, puerperal sepsis, abruptio placentae, postpartum haemorrhage and eclampsia) are the main(60%-70%) causes of RCN in developing countries. The remaining 30%-40% cases of RCN are caused by non-obstetrical causes, mostly due to sepsis and HUS. The incidence of RCN ranges from 10% to 30% of all cases of obstetric AKI compared with only 5% in non-gravid patients. In the developed countries, RCN accounts for 2% of all cases of AKI in adults and more than 20% of AKI during the third trimester of pregnancy. The reported incidence of RCN in obstetrical AKI varies between 18%-42.8% in different Indian studies. However, the overall incidence of RCN in pregnancy related AKI has decreased from 20%-30% to 5% in the past two decades in India. Currently RCN accounts for 3% of all causes of AKI. The incidence of RCN in obstetrical AKI was 1.44% in our recent study. HUS is most common cause of RCN in non-obstetrical group, while puerperal sepsis is leading cause of RCN in obstetric group. 15In-vitro scolicidal activity of Mallotus philippinensis (Lam.) Muell Arg. fruit glandular hair extract against hydatid cyst Echinococcus granulosus显示文摘Objective: To investigate new scolicidal agent from natural resources to cope with the side effects associated with synthetic drugs in Echinococcosis. Methods: The scolicidal potential of methanolic fruit powder extract (10 and 20 mg/mL) of Mallotus philippinensis ( M. philippinensis ) was investigated. Viability of protoscoleces was confirmed by trypan blue exclusion method, where mortality was observed at concentration of 10 and 20 mg/mL in 60 min treatment against Echinococcus granulosus ( E. granulosus ), under in-vitro conditions with reference to the known standard drug Praziquantel . Results: At concentration 10 and 20 mg/mL, the mortality rate was observed 97% and 99% respectively for 60 min treatment; while up to 93% mortality was observed with 20 mg/mL for only 10 min treatment. The concentration above 20 mg/mL for above 2 h showed 100% mortality, irrespective of further incubation. 17In-line digital holography for dynamic metrology of MEMS(Invited Paper)显示文摘In-line digital holography helps to relax the spatial resolution requirement on charge-coupled device sensors for digital recording of holograms and to utilize the full sensing area for image reconstruction which provides larger field of view and better imaging resolution. In this letter, a lensless in-line digital holographic microscopy is presented for dynamic metrology of micro-electro-mechanical systems devices. The methodologies of interferometry and time-averaged in-line digital holography are presented for dynamic measurements, which are also useful for simultaneous suppression of in-line waves from real image wave.
