1Chinese radioglaciological studies on the Antarctic ice sheet: progress and prospects显示文摘Chinese radioglaciological studies on the Antarctic ice sheet(AIS) began in 2004/05 when the 21 st Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition(CHINARE 21) team arrived at Dome A for the first time and radio echo sounding(RES) was conducted along the inland traverse and in the Dome A region. Subsequently, more field surveys were conducted along the traverse and in the Dome A region using different radar systems targeting different scientific purposes, such as revealing the landscape of the Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains by detailed grid RES, or locating a deep ice core drilling site by mapping and studying internal structures, bedrock topography and subglacial conditions in the Dome A region. Furthermore, the evolution of the AIS was inferred from the typical mountain glaciation topography beneath Dome A, and the age of the deep ice core at Kunlun Station was estimated through numerical modeling. Recently, the Snow Eagle 601 airplane was acquired and an airborne geophysical system was constructed to survey the AIS in Princess Elizabeth Land during CHINARE 32(2015/16) and CHINARE 33(2016/17) in order to fill the large data gap there. 2Flame-retardant quasi-solid polymer electrolyte enabling sodium metal batteries with highly safe characteristic and superior cycling stability显示文摘Con ventio nal liquid electrolytes based sodium metal batteries suffer from severe safety hazards owing to electrolyte leakage,in flammability and dendritic sodium deposit!on.Herein,we report a flame-retardant quasi-solid polymer electrolyte with poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic an hydride)(P(MVE-alt-MA))as host,bacterial cellulose(BC)as reinforceme nt,and triethyl phosphate/vinyle ne carb on ate/sodium perchlorate(TEP/VC/NaClO4)as plasticizer for highly safe sodium metal batteries.The as-obtained quasi-solid polymer electrolyte exhibits superior flame retardancy(self-extinguish within 1 s),complete non-leakage property and wide electrochemical windows(4.4 V).More importantly,Na3V2(PO4)3/Na metal batteries using such polymer electrolyte delivers superior I on g-term cycli ng stability(84.4%capacity rete ntion after 1000 cycles)which is significantly better than that(only 2%after 240 cycles)of liquid electrolyte.In addition,this flame-retardant quasi-solid polymer electrolyte provides favorable cycle performance(80.2%capacity retention after 70 cycles at 50°C and 84.8%capacity retention after 50 cycles at-10°C)for Na3V2(PO4)3/Na metal batteries.And this battery also displayed a normal charge/discharge property even at-15°C.These fascinating cycle properties are mainly ascribed to the effective pro怕ctive layers formed on Na3V2(PC>4)3 cathode and sodium metal ano de.More thorough in vestigati on elucidates that such flame-retardant quasi-solid polymer electrolyte plays a multif unctional role in the adva need sodium metal batteries:(1)being in volved in the formatio n of a favorable cathode electrolyte in terface(CEI)to inhibit the dissolutio n of van adium and maintai n the structure integrity of the Na3V2(PO4)3;(2)participati ng in building a stable solid electrolyte in terface(SEI)to suppress the growth of Na dendrites;(3)integrating flame-retardanee into polymer sodium batteries to enhance flame-resistanee,eliminate electrolyte leakage,and thus improve safety of sodium batteries.Based on these results,we further assembled Na3V2(PO4)3/MoS2 pouch cell which can withsta nd harsh conditions(be nded or cut off a corn er),confirming the obtai ned polymer electrolyte with superior non-leakage property.In all,these outstanding characteristics would endow this flame-retardant quasi-solid polymer electrolyte a very promising can didate for highly-safe sodium metal batteries.Jinfeng Yang Min Zhang Zheng Chen Xiaofan Du Suqi Huang Ben Tang Tiantian Dong Han Wu Zhe Yu Jianjun Zhang Guanglei Cui 2019Nano Research2019,12,9:4
3Polymer electrolytes for Li-S batteries:Polymeric fundamentals and performance optimization显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries have been considered as one of the most promising candidates to traditional lithium ion batteries due to its low cost,high theoretical specific capacity(1675 mAh g^(-1)) and energy density(2600 Wh kg^(-1)) of sulfur.Compared with traditional liquid electrolytes,polymer electrolytes(PEs) are ever-increasingly preferred due to their higher safety,superior compatibility,long cycling stability and so on.Despite some progresses on PEs,however,there remain lots of hurdles to be addressed prior to commercial applications.This review begins with native advantages for PEs to replace LEs,and then proposes the ideal requirements for PEs.Furthermore,a brief development history of typical PEs for Li-S batteries is presented to systematically summarize the recent achievements in Li-S batteries with PEs.Noted that the structure-performance relationships of polymer matrixes for PEs are highlighted.Finally,the challenges and opportunities on the future development of PEs are presented.We hold the view that composite polymer electrolytes in virtue of the high ionic conductivity and the compatible interfacial property will be promising solution for high performance Li-S batteries.Meifang Jiang Zengqi Zhang Ben Tang Tiantian Dong Hantao Xu Huanri Zhang Xiaolan Lu Guanglei Cui 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,7:3
4A high-resolution small animal SPECT system developed at Tsinghua显示文摘An SPECT system dedicated to small animal imaging shall be of a millimeter spatial resolution or even better.This study was aimed at achieving 0.5-mm spatial resolution for a small animal SPECT system at low cost.It was developed from a single-head clinical SPECT scanner,with a seven-pinhole collimator and a four-degree-offreedom motion control stage.Several key techniques were developed,including high-resolution image reconstruction algorithm,high accuracy geometrical calibration method,and optimized system matrix derivation scheme.The system matrix was derived from Monte-Carlo simulation and de-noised by fitting each point spread function to a two dimensional Gaussian function.Experiments of point source and ultra micro hot rod phantom were conducted.With a spatial resolution of 0.5-0.6 mm,this system provides a practical way for low-cost high-resolution animal imaging on a clinic SPECT system.DAI Tiantian MATianyu LIU Hui CUI Junjian WEI Qingyang LIU Yaqiang WANG Shi 2011Nuclear Science and Techniques2011,22,6:3
5Characterization of polyclonal antibodies against nonstructural protein 9 from the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus显示文摘Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome(PRRS) is considered to be one of the most important infectious diseases impacting the swine industry and is characterized by reproductive failure in late term gestation in sows and respiratory disease in pigs of all ages.The nonstructural protein 9 gene,Nsp9,encoding the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase,is generally regarded as fairly conserved when compared to other viral proteins.Antibodies against Nsp9 will be of great importance for the diagnosis and treatment of the causal agent,PRRS virus.A study was undertaken to generate polyclonal antibodies against the immunodominant Nsp9.For this purpose,the Nsp9 was expressed in Escherichia coli and subsequently used as an antigen to immunize New Zealand rabbits.Antiserum was identified via an indirect ELISA,and then verified based on the ability to react with both naturally and artificially expressed Nsp9.Results of virus neutralization test showed that this antiserum could not neutralize the PRRSV.Nevertheless,this antiserum as a diagnostic core reagent should prove invaluable for further investigations into the mechanism of PRRS pathogenesis.Mengmeng ZHAO Juanjuan QIAN Jiexiong XIE Tiantian CUI Songling FENG Guoqiang WANG Ruining WANG Guihong ZHANG 2016Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2016,3,2:2
6Impacts of Coastal Reclamation on Natural Wetlands in Large River Deltas in China显示文摘Little information is available on the impacts of coastal reclamation on wetland loss in large-river deltas at a regional scale.Using remote sensing data of coastal wetland and reclamation in four deltas in China from 1978 to 2014, we tracked their continuous area changes in four periods: 1978–1990, 1990–2000, 2000–2008, and 2008–2014. The areal relation between wetland loss and reclamation was quantified and used to identify coastal reclamation mode intensity coupled with another three indicators: reclamation rate,accretion rate and land-use intensity of coastal reclamation. The results showed that coastal reclamation driven by economic development reduced, or even reverse the original growth of delta which was determined by the offset between wetland acceleration rate and wetland loss rate. Generally, the area of reclamation showed a positive linear correlation with the area of wetland loss. The findings imply that human activities should control reclamation rate and intensity to alleviate total wetland loss and maintain wetland ’net gain’.Inappropriate coastal reclamation modes can magnify total wetland loss;therefore, coastal reclamation with a slow increment rate and low impervious surface percent is of great importance for sustainable development in future coastal management.MA Tiantian LI Xiaowen BAI Junhong CUI Baoshan 2019Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,4:2

8An Endotenon Sheath-Inspired Double-Network Binder Enables Superior Cycling Performance of Silicon Electrodes显示文摘Silicon(Si)has been regarded as an alternative anode material to traditional graphite owing to its higher theoretical capacity(4200 vs.372 m Ah g;).However,Si anodes suffer from the inherent volume expansion and unstable solid electrolyte interphase,thus experiencing fast capacity decay,which hinders their commercial application.To address this,herein,an endotenon sheathinspired water-soluble double-network binder(DNB)is presented for resolving the bottleneck of Si anodes.The as-developed binder shows excellent adhesion,high mechanical properties,and a considerable self-healing capability mainly benefited by its supramolecular hybrid network.Apart from these advantages,this binder also induces a Li;N/Li F-rich solid electrolyte interface layer,contributing to a superior cycle stability of Si electrodes.As expected,the DNB can achieve mechanically more stable Si electrodes than traditional polyacrylic acid and pectin binders.As a result,DNB delivers superior electrochemical performance ofSi/Li half cells and Li Ni;Co;Mn;O;/Si full cells,even with a high loading of Si electrode,to traditional polyacrylic acid and pectin binders.The bioinspired binder design provides a promising route to achieve long-life Si anode-assembled lithium batteries.Meifang Jiang Pengzhou Mu Huanrui Zhang Tiantian Dong Ben Tang Huayu Qiu Zhou Chen Guanglei Cui 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,6:2

10Discovery of a small molecule inhibitor of cullin neddylation that triggers ER stress to induce autophagy显示文摘Protein neddylation is catalyzed by a three-enzyme cascade,namely an E1 NEDD8-activating enzyme(NAE),one of two E2 NEDD8 conjugation enzymes and one of several E3 NEDD8 ligases.The physiological substrates of neddylation are the family members of cullin,the scaffold component of cullin RING ligases(CRLs).Currently,a potent E1 inhibitor,MLN4924,also known as pevonedistat,is in several clinical trials for anti-cancer therapy.Here we report the discovery,through virtual screening and structural modifications,of a small molecule compound HA-1141 that directly binds to NAE in both in vitro and in vivo assays and effectively inhibits neddylation of cullins 1 e5.Surprisingly,unlike MLN4924,HA-1141 also triggers non-canonical endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress and PKR-mediated terminal integrated stress response(ISR)to activate ATF4 at an early stage,and to inhibit protein synthesis and mTORC1 activity at a later stage,eventually leading to autophagy induction.Biologically,HA-1141 suppresses growth and survival of cultured lung cancer cells and tumor growth in in vivo xenograft lung cancer models at a well-tolerated dose.Taken together,our study has identified a small molecule compound with the dual activities of blocking neddylation and triggering ER stress,leading to growth suppression of cancer cells.Yanan Li Chaorong Wang Tiantian Xu Peichen Pan Qing Yu Lei Xu Xiufang Xiong Tingjun Hou Sunliang Cui Yi Sun 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,11:1

12An Adversarial Smart Contract Honeypot in Ethereum显示文摘A smart contract honeypot is a special type of smart contract.This type of contract seems to have obvious vulnerabilities in contract design.If a user transfers a certain amount of funds to the contract,then the user can withdraw the funds in the contract.However,once users try to take advantage of this seemingly obvious vulnerability,they will fall into a real trap.Consequently,the user’s investment in the contract cannot be retrieved.The honeypot induces other accounts to launch funds,which seriously threatens the security of property on the blockchain.Detection methods for honeypots are available.However,studying the manner by which to defend existing honeypots is insufficient to fight against honeypots.The new honeypots that may appear in the future from the perspective of an attacker must also be predicted.Therefore,we propose a type of adversarial honeypot.The code and behavioral features of honeypots are obtained through a comparative analysis of the 158,568 nonhoneypots and 352 honeypots.To build an adversarial honeypot,we try to separately hide these features and make the honeypot bypass the existing detection technology.We construct 18 instances on the basis of the proposed adversarial honeypot and use an open-source honeypot detection tool to detect these instances.The experimental result shows that the proposed honeypot can bypass the detection tool with a 100%ratio.Therefore,this type of honeypot should be given attention,and defensive measures should be proposed as soon as possible.Yu Han Tiantian Ji Zhongru Wang Hao Liu Hai Jiang Wendi Wang Xiang Cui 2021Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2021,,7:1

145-HMF attenuates inflammation and demyelination in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis mice by inhibiting the MIF-CD74 interaction显示文摘The neuroprotective role of 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural(5-HMF)has been demonstrated in a variety of neurological diseases.The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of 5-HMF on multiple sclerosis(MS).IFN-γ-stimulated murine microglia(BV2 cells)are considered a cell model of MS.With 5-HMF treatment,microglial M1/2 polarization and cytokine levels are detected.The interaction of 5-HMF with migration inhibitory factor(MIF)is predicted using online databases.The experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE)mouse model is established,followed by a 5-HMF injection.The results show that 5-HMF facilitates IFN-γ-stimulated microglial M2 polarization and attenuates the inflammatory response.According to the network pharmacology and molecular docking results,5-HMF has a binding site for MIF.Further results show that blocking MIF activity or silencing CD74 enhances microglial M2 polarization,reduces inflammatory activity,and prevents ERK1/2 phosphorylation.5-HMF inhibits the MIF-CD74 interaction by binding to MIF,thereby inhibiting microglial M1 polarization and enhancing the anti-inflammatory response.5-HMF ameliorates EAE,inflammation,and demyelination in vivo.In conclusion,our research indicates that 5-HMF promotes microglial M2 polarization by inhibiting the MIF-CD74 interaction,thereby attenuating inflammation and demyelination in EAE mice.Dongsheng Guan Yingxia Li Yinglin Cui Huanghong Zhao Ning Dong Kun Wang Deqi Ren Tiantian Song Xiaojing Wang Shijie Jin Yinghe Gao Mengmeng Wang 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,8:0
15An in-situ generated composite solid-state electrolyte towards high-voltage lithium metal batteries显示文摘The solid-state electrolyte(SSE) has promising applications in next-generation lithium(Li) metal batteries(LMBs) because of its significantly enhanced safety and more compatible interface characteristics than flammable traditional liquid electrolytes.However,only a few attempts have achieved high-performance high-voltage LMBs,which is attributed to the fact that both high ionic conductivity and good compatibility with electrodes can hardly be achieved simultaneously.Herein,a composite solid-state electrolyte(CSE) based on star-shaped siloxane-based polymer electrolyte coupled with Li_(6.75)La_(3)Zr_(1.75)Ta_(0.25)O_(12)(LLZTO)ceramic fillers is designed and prepared through a facile in-situ polymerization method.The obtained CSE exhibits high ionic conductivity(i.e.,1.68 × 10^(-4) S cm^(-1) at a temperature of 60 ℃),superior anodic stability,and high Li-ion transference number(i.e.,0.53) because of the multifunctional synergistic effect of the polymer electrolyte with LLZTO ceramic fillers.Moreover,the as-developed CSE shows excellent compatibility with Li anodes.As a result,the as-developed CSE enables the development of long-life 4.4-V-class solid-state LMBs with a Li CoO_(2) cathode,with 79.7% capacity retention and 99.74% average Coulombic efficiency after 500 cycles at a 0.5 C rate.Postmortem analysis of cycled batteries confirms that such superior battery performance can be mainly ascribed to the formation of a compatible electrode/electrolyte interface.Furthermore,excellent safety features can be observed in LiCoO_(2)/Li pouch batteries.This work provides an important guide for the rational design of SSEs for high-voltage LMBs.Qinglei Wang Tiantian Dong Qian Zhou Zili Cui Xuehui Shangguan Chenglong Lu Zhaolin Lv Kai Chen Lang Huang Huanrui Zhang Guanglei Cui 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,5:0
16Study on Effects of Ascorbyl Propyl Hyaluronate显示文摘The moisturizing,barrier protection,firming effects of Ascorbyl Propyl Hyaluronate(V_(C)-HA)are studied.The moisturizing effect was evaluated by detecting hygroscopicity and water-retention capacity.A model of 3D skin injury was established to evaluate the barrier protection effect by detecting the changes in the histomorphological structure of the model and the barrier related proteins.Expression level of type Ⅰ collagen in FB was detected to evaluate the firming effect(Filaggrin,FLG).The results show that V_(C)-HA has better moisturizing effect and obvious barrier protection effects at the concentration of 300μg/mL.Expression level of type I collagen increases with the increase of the V_(C)-HA concentration in the range of 100~6,250μg/mL.In conclusion,a certain concentration of V_(C)-HA has better moisturizing,barrier protection and firming effects.Yu Tiantian Guo Kai Lin Mengjun Cui Benwen Wang Huihui Ji Shengli 2022China Detergent & Cosmetics2022,7,3:0

18Uncovering the dominant contribution of intermediate volatility compounds in secondary organic aerosol formation from biomass-burning emissions显示文摘Organic vapors from biomass burning are a major source of secondary organic aerosols(SOAs).Previous smog chamber studies found that the SOA contributors in biomass-burning emissions are mainly volatile organic compounds(VOCs).While intermediate volatility organic compounds(IVOCs)are efficient SOA precursors and contribute a considerable fraction of biomass-burning emissions,their contribution to SOA formation has not been directly observed.Here,by deploying a newly-developed oxidation flow reactor to study SOA formation from wood burning,we find that IVOCs can contribute ~70 %of the formed SOA,i.e.>2 times more than VOCs.This previously missing SOA fraction is interpreted to be due to the high wall losses of semi-volatile oxidation products of IVOCs in smog chambers.The finding in this study reveals that SOA production from biomass burning is much higher than previously thought,and highlights the urgent need for more research on the IVOCs from biomass burning and potentially other emission sources.Kun Li Jun Zhang David M.Bell Tiantian Wang Houssni Lamkaddam Tianqu Cui Lu Qi Mihnea Surdu Dongyu Wang Lin Du Imad El Haddad Jay G.Slowik Andre S.H.Prevot 2024National Science Review2024,11,3:0
