1Hypoxic preconditioning stimulates angiogenesis in ischemic penumbra after acute cerebral infarction显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated the protective effect of hypoxic preconditioning on acute cerebral infarction,but the mechanisms underlying this protection remain unclear.To investigate the protective mechanisms of hypoxic preconditioning in relation to its effects on angiogenesis,we induced a photochemical model of cerebral infarction in an inbred line of mice(BALB/c).Mice were then exposed to hypoxic preconditioning 30 minutes prior to model establishment.Results showed significantly increased vascular endothelial growth factor and CD31 expression in the ischemic penumbra at 24 and 72 hours post infarction,mainly in neurons and vascular endothelial cells.Hypoxic preconditioning increased vascular endothelial growth factor and CD31 expression in the ischemic penumbra and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor was positively related to that of CD31.Moreover,hypoxic preconditioning reduced the infarct volume and improved neurological function in mice.These findings indicate that the protective role of hypoxic preconditioning in acute cerebral infarction may possibly be due to an increase in expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and CD31 in the ischemic penumbra,which promoted angiogenesis.Sijie Li Yanbo Zhang Guo Shao Mingfeng Yang Jingzhong Niu Guowei Lv Xunming Ji 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,31:31
2Volcanism at the Permian-Triassic Boundary in South China and Its Effects on Mass Extinction显示文摘This paper discusses the clayrocks widespread at the Permian-Triassic boundary, which are mostly of volcanic origin. Volcanogenetic textures, structures and minerals such as high-temperature quartz are found in clayrocks at the Permian-Triassic boundary in many places. Thousands of microspherules have been collected from the Boundary clayrocks, many of which exhibit the typical features of the process from melting to cooling and solidification. indicating that they were formed by volcanic eruption or extraterrestrial impact. Volcanic effects on the Permian-Triassic mass extinction may be reflected in conodonts, algae and ammonoids. The Boundary clayrocks are found in many Permian-Triassic sections along the coast of Tethys. 3Application of novel force control strategies to enhance robotic abrasive belt grinding quality of aero-engine blades显示文摘Robotic belt grinding has emerged as a finishing process in recent years for machining components with high surface finish and flexibility.The surface machining consistency,however,is difficult to be guaranteed in such a process.To overcome this problem,a method of hybrid force-position control combined with PI/PD control is proposed to be applied in robotic abrasive belt grinding of complex geometries.Voltage signals are firstly obtained and transformed to force information with signal conditioning methods.Secondly,zero drift and gravity compensation algorithms are presented to calibrate the F/T transducer which is installed on the robot end-effector.Next,a force control strategy combining hybrid force-position control with PI/PD control is introduced to be employed in robotic abrasive belt grinding operations where the force control law is applied to the Z direction of the tool frame and the positon control law is used in the X direction of the tool frame.Then,the accuracy of the F/T transducer and the robotic force control system is analyzed to ensure the stability and reliability of force control in the robotic grinding process.Finally,two typical cases on robotic belt grinding of a test workpiece and an aero-engine blade are conducted to validate the practicality and effectiveness of the force control technology proposed.Xiaohu XU Dahu ZHU Haiyang ZHANG Sijie YAN Han DING 2019Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,10:16
4Gabapentin inhibits central sensitization during migraine显示文摘Peripheral and central sensitizations are phenomena that occur during migraine.The role of gabapentin,a migraine preventive drug,on central sensitization remains unclear.In this study,a rat model of migraine was established by electrical stimulation of the trigeminal ganglion,and the animals were given intragastric gabapentin.Changes in amino acid content in the cerebrospinal fluid and protein kinase C membrane translocation in the spinal trigeminal nucleus were examined to clarify the mechanisms underlying the efficacy of gabapentin in the treatment of central sensitization during migraine.Electrophysiology,liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and western blot analysis results revealed that gabapentin reduces neuronal excitability in the spinal nucleus in the trigeminal nerve,decreases excitatory amino acid content and inhibits the activation of protein kinase C.This provides evidence that excitatory amino acids and protein kinase C are involved in the formation and maintenance of central sensitization during migraine.Gabapentin inhibits migraine by reducing excitatory amino acid content in the cerebrospinal fluid and inhibiting protein kinase C activation.Yanbo Zhang Guo Shao Wei Zhang Sijie Li Jingzhong Niu Dongmei Hu Mingfeng Yang Xunming Ji 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,32:12
5Comparison of sentinel lymph node detection performances using blue dye in conjunction with indocyanine green or radioisotope in breast cancer patients: a prospective singlecenter randomized study显示文摘Objective:This randomized study aimed to compare the clinical efficacy between the novel dual tracer composed of indocyanine green(ICG)and blue dye(BD)and the conventional dual tracer composed of radioisotope and BD for sentinel lymph node(SLN)mapping in patients with breast cancer.Methods:This study enrolled 471 clinically lymph node-negative patients with primary breast cancer.All patients underwent mastectomy,and those undergoing sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB)were randomized to receive blue dye plus radioisotope(RB group)or BD plus ICG(IB group).The detection performances on SLN identification rate,positive SLN counts,detection sensitivity,and false-negative rate were compared between the two groups.Results:In the IB group,97%(194/200)of the patients who underwent the ICG and BD dual tracer injection showed fluorescentpositive lymphatic vessels within 2–5 min.The identification rate of SLNs was comparable between the IB group(99.0%,198/200)and the RB group(99.6%,270/271)(P=0.79).No significant differences were observed in the identification rate of metastatic SLNs(22.5%vs.22.9%,P>0.05,RB group vs.IB group,the same below),positive SLN counts(3.72±2.28 vs.3.91±2.13,P>0.05),positive metastatic SLN counts(0.38±0.84 vs.0.34±0.78,P>0.05),SLNB detection sensitivity(94.4%vs.92.5%,P>0.05),or false-negative rate(5.6%vs.7.5%,P>0.05)between the two groups.Conclusions:ICG can be used as a promising alternative tracer for radioisotope in SLN mapping,and when it is combined with BD in lymphangiography,it offers comparable detection sensitivity compared to the conventional lymphatic mapping strategies that are widely used in clinical practice.Long Yuan Xiaowei Qi Yi Zhang Xinhua Yang Fan Zhang Linjun Fan Li Chen Kongyong Zhang Ling Zhong Yanling Li Sijie Gan Wenying Fu Jun Jiang 2018Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,4:9

7A Two-stage Autonomous EV Charging Coordination Method Enabled by Blockchain显示文摘Increasing electric vehicle(EV) penetration in distribution networks necessitate EV charging coordination. This paper proposes a two-stage EV charging coordination mechanism that frees the distribution system operator(DSO) from extra burdens of EV charging coordination. The first stage ensures that the total charging demand meets facility constraints,and the second stage ensures fair charging welfare allocation while maximizing the total charging welfare via Nash-bargaining trading. A decentralized algorithm based on the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM) is proposed to protect individual privacy. The proposed mechanism is implemented on the blockchain to enable trustworthy EV charging coordination in case a third-party coordinator is absent. 8Isolation and identification of Starmerella davenportii strain Do18 and its application in black tea beverage fermentation显示文摘The objective of this study was to isolate and identify a yeast strain from the kombucha beverage and evaluate its potential as a novel starter in beverage fermentation in vitro.Starmerella davenportii Do18 was characterized for its cholesterol reduction;growth at different conditions such as temperatures(25,30,37 and 42◦C),low pH(1.2,1.5,2.03.0,and 7.0),bile salts(0%,0.25%,0.5%,1%and 2%)high-sucrose stress(2%,10%,20%,40%and 60%);and in-vitro survival in gastric and intestinal environments.Results showed that the yeast strain has a cholesterol-lowering capacity of 45%±2%,grew at temperature of 37◦C and is resistant to pH 1.5,2%bile and 40%sucrose solution,could survive in simulated gastric and intestinal environments.The physicochemical characteristics of the fermented beverages were also evaluated,which indicated that the yeast has pH reduction capacity and can produce organic acids and volatile compound such as 2-phenylethanol.Furthermore,the fermented beverage also has high total phenolics and flavonoids content and showed great antioxidant and antimicrobial activities.Therefore,the findings of this research provide strong evidence that S.davenportii Do18 has good fermentation properties,can be a potential starter in food and beverage fermentation.Chuanhai Tu Wenxiu Hu Sijie Tang Ling Meng Zhihai Huang Xiao Xu Xiudong Xia Fidelis Azi Mingsheng Dong 2020Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,4:8
9One-step synthesis of cobalt,nitrogen-codoped carbon as nonprecious bifunctional electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction and evolution reactions显示文摘It is highly desired for the development of efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst for both oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction(OER) in renewable energy technologies. In this work,cobalt, nitrogen-codoped carbon was prepared by a facile one-step method and demonstrated to exhibit good electrocatalytic performance for ORR and OER via a complete four-electron process. 10Gene admixture in ethnic populations in upper part of Silk Road revealed by mtDNA polymorphism显示文摘To evaluate the gene admixture on the current genetic landscape in Gansu Corridor (GC) in China, the upper part of the ancient Silk Road which connects the Eastern and Central Asia, we examined mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) polymorphisms of five ethnic populations in this study. Using PCR-RFLP and sequencing, we analyzed mtDNA haplotypes in 242 unrelated samples in three ethnic populations from the GC region and two ethnic populations from the adjacent Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. We analyzed the data in comparison with the previously reported data from Eastern, Central and Western Asia and Europe. We found that both European-specific haplogroups and Eastern Asian-specific haplogroups exist in the Gansu Corridor populations, while a modest matrilineal gene flow from Europeans to this region was revealed. The Gansu Corridor populations are genetically located between Eastern Asians and Central Asians, both of who contributed significantly to the maternal lineages of the GC populations. 11Colorectal cancers in ulcerative colitis from a low-prevalence area for colon cancer显示文摘AIM: To determine the incidence and risk factors for colorectal cancer(CRC) in patients with ulcerative colitis from a low prevalence region for CRC.METHODS: Our prospective database yielded a cohort of 430 patients [age: 44 ± 14.6 years; 248 men(57.7%)] with ulcerative colitis(median disease duration 6, range: 1-39 years) for analysis. Of these, 131(30.5%) had left-sided colitis and 159(37%) extensive colitis. Patients with histologically confirmed CRC within the segment with colitis were compared with those without CRC, to determine the risk factors for the development of CRC.RESULTS: Twelve patients(2.8%) developed CRC. The overall incidence density was 3.56/1000 patient-years of disease- 3/1000 in the first 10 years, 3.3/1000 at 10 to 20 years, and 7/1000 at > 20 years. Three of our 12 patients developed CRC within 8 years of disease onset. On univariate analysis, extensive colitis, longer duration of disease, and poor control of disease were associated with development of CRC. 12Genome-wide variants of Eurasian facial shape differentiation and a prospective model of DNA based face prediction显示文摘It is a long-standing question as to which genes define the characteristic facial features among different ethnic groups. In this study, we use Uyghurs, an ancient admixed population to query the genetic bases why Europeans and Han Chinese look different. Facial traits were analyzed based on high-dense 3D facial images; numerous biometric spaces were examined for divergent facial features between European and Han Chinese, ranging from inter-landmark distances to dense shape geometrics. Genome-wide association studies(GWAS) were conducted on a discovery panel of Uyghurs. Six significant loci were identified, four of which, rs1868752, rs118078182, rs60159418 at or near UBASH3B, COL23A1, PCDH7 and rs17868256 were replicated in independent cohorts of Uyghurs or Southern Han Chinese. 13Coordinating EV Charging via Blockchain显示文摘The increasing electric vehicle(EV) penetration in a distribution network triggers the need for EV charging coordination. This paper firstly proposes a hierarchical EV charging coordination model and an algorithm based on Lagrangian relaxation. A barrier to the implementation of the coordination algorithm is that there usually does not exist a reliable coordinator of charging stations. This paper shows that an unreliable coordinator may collude with some charging stations and behave dishonestly by disobeying the coordination algorithm. Thus, the collusion coalition can gain more profits while lowering the profits of others and the total social welfare. To provide reliable coordination of charging stations, a novel blockchain-based coordination platform via Ethereum is established, including a coordination structure and a smart contract. A mathematical analysis is given to show that the proposed platform can mitigate the collusion behaviors in the coordination. 14A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 15The role of tocopherol cyclase in salt stress tolerance of rice(Oryza sativa)显示文摘Tocopherols synthesized exclusively by photosynthetic organisms are major antioxidants in biomembranes.In plants,tocopherol cyclase(TC/VTE1) catalyzes the conversion of 2,3-dimethyl-5-phytyl-1,4-benzoquinone(DMPBQ) to γ-tocopherol.In the present study,OsVTE1,which encodes a rice tocopherol cyclase ortholog,was cloned and characterized.OsVTE1 was induced significantly by abiotic stresses such as high salt,H2O2,drought,cold and by the plant hormones ABA and salicylic acid.The tissue-specific expression pattern and OsVTE1-promoter GUS activity assay showed that OsVTE1 was mainly expressed in the leaf,and also could be detected in the root,stem and panicle.Compared with control plants,transgenic plants with OsVTE1 RNA interference(OsVTE1-RNAi) were more sensitive to salt stress whereas,in contrast,transgenic plants overexpressing OsVTE1(OsVTE1-OX) showed higher tolerance to salt stress.The DAB in vivo staining showed that OsVTE1-OX plants accumulated less H2O2 than did control plants.OUYANG ShouQiang HE SiJie LIU Peng ZHANG WanKe ZHANG JinSong CHEN ShouYi 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,2:6

17LSTM-based argument recommendation for non-API methods显示文摘Automatic code completion is one of the most useful features provided by advanced IDEs.Argument recommendation,as a special kind of code completion,is widely used as well.While existing approaches focus on argument recommendation for popular APIs,a large number of non-API invocations are requesting for accurate argument recommendation as well.To this end,we propose an LSTM-based approach to recommending non-API arguments instantly when method calls are typed in.With data collected from a large corpus of open-source applications,we train an LSTM neural network to recommend actual arguments based on identifiers of the invoked method,the corresponding formal parameter,and a list of syntactically correct candidate arguments.To feed these identifiers into the LSTM neural network,we convert them into fixed-length vectors by Paragraph Vector,an unsupervised neural network based learning algorithm.With the resulting LSTM neural network trained on sample applications,for a given call site we can predict which of the candidate arguments is more likely to be the correct one.We evaluate the proposed approach with tenfold validation on 85 open-source C applications.Results suggest that the proposed approach outperforms the state-of-the-art approaches in recommending non-API arguments.It improves the precision significantly from 71.46%to 83.37%.Guangjie LI Hui LIU Ge LI Sijie SHEN Hanlin TANG 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,9:5
18Improved dissolution and oral absorption by co-grinding active drug probucol and ternary stabilizers mixtures with planetary beads-milling method显示文摘The objective of this work is to construct a nanosuspension drug delivery system of probucol,a BCS II drug,in order to improve its dissolution and oral bioavailability.The wet milling procedure using planetary beads-milling equipment was utilized to grind the raw probucol to ultrafine nanoparticle/nanocrystal aqueous suspension that was further solidified by freeze-drying process.Cellulose derivatives of different substitution groups and molecular weights,including HPMC,HPC,and MC,were evaluated as the primary stabilizer of probucol nanosuspension.Ternary stabilizers system composed of a primary stabilizer(cellulose derivative,i.e.HPC),a nonionic surfactant(Pluronic R F68),and an anionic surfactant(SDS)was employed to obtain probucol nanosuspension of finer particle size and enhanced dissolution in aqueous media.The probucol nanosuspension with good physical stability showed no obvious change of particle size even after storing over 7 d at 4°C or 25°C.The solidified probucol nanosuspension with trehalose as the cryoprotectant showed the highest dissolution rate(>60%at 2 h)compared to other cryoprotectant.The in vivo pharmacokinetic evaluation indicated about 15-folds higher AUC value of the probucol nanosuspension compared to that of coarse probucol suspension after oral administration to rats.The probucol nanosuspension prepared by wet-milling and ternary stabilizers system may find wide applications for improving the dissolution and oral absorption of water-insoluble drugs.Fang Li Linsen Li Shaoning Wang Yan Yang Jia Li Dongchun Liu Sijie Zhang Siling Wang Hui Xu 2019Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2019,14,6:5
19Verification of Mutagen Function of Zeocin in Nannochloropsis oceanica Through Transcriptome Analysis显示文摘Zeocin can cause double strand breaks of DNA and thus is frequently used as a selective antibiotic of eukaryotic Sh ble transformants. In non-transformation system, Zeocin may function as a mutagen if not totally lethal. To verify such function of Zeocin, we mutated Nannochloropsis oceanica by increasing the concentration of Zeocin in medium gradually, and isolated a N. oceanica strain(single cell culture) which survived Zeocin up to 10.0μg mL^(-1). The Zeocin-tolerant strain entered the exponential growth phase later and grew slower than the wild strain. Transcriptome profiling showed that the Zeocin-tolerant N. oceanica strain survived Zeocin mainly by adapting(heritable), rather than acclimating(plastic) to Zeocin. Hence mutating N. oceanica with Zeocin was approved effective. Meanwhile, the physiological characteristics of this Zeocin-tolerant strain were demonstrated. As we proposed, N. oceanica tolerated Zeocin by strengthening its protein degradation and antioxidation. The genes controlling cell division and cellular response to stimuli may also have played important roles in the reduction of growth and the tolerance to Zeocin. Our findings evidenced that Zeocin can serve as an appropriate mutagen of microalgae.
