Combustion mechanism and control approaches of underground coal fires:a review显示文摘With the large-scale mining of coal resources, the huge economic losses and environmental problems caused by underground coal fires have become increasingly prominent, and the research on the status quo and response strategies of underground coal fires is of great significance to accelerate the green prevention and control of coal fires, energy conservation and emission reduction. In this paper,we summarized and sorted out the research status of underground coal fires, focused on the theoretical and technical issues such as underground coal fire combustion mechanism, multiphysics coupling effect of coal fire combustion, fire prevention and extinguishing technology for underground coal fires, and beneficial utilization technology, and described the latest research progress of the prevention and control for underground coal fire hazards. Finally, the key research problems in the field of underground coal fire hazards prevention and control were proposed in the direction of the basic theory, technology research, comprehensive management and utilization, with a view to providing ideas and solutions for the management of underground coal fires. | Yuntao Liang Yalan Yang Sida Guo Fuchao Tian Shaofeng Wang | 2023 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2023,10,2: | 3
Research on the long-time operation performance of composite insulator shed hydrophobicity under hydrothermal conditions显示文摘Due to excellent anti-pollution flashover performance,a composite insulator has become the most frequently and widely used insulator product in transmission lines.Sheath hydrophobicity is the core factor that determines the anti-pollution flashover performance of the composite insulator. To study the change rule of insulator sheath hydrophobicity under the long-term operation condition, more than 390 samples produced by the same manufacturer that had operated for 3–22 years were extracted from the adjacent lines to eliminate the impact of the running environment and manufacturer formula. To study the reasons for hydrophobic fluctuations, surface energy tests and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy tests were conducted on the superficial layer materials based on a two-droplet method. The change rule of the material physical and chemical properties with operation time was obtained.Next, the relationship between the surface microstructure of the material and operation time was determined by laser scanning confocal microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Finally, based on the analysis results of surface energy and surface topography, the physical model of shed material hydrophobic variation in the operation process was obtained. | Li Cheng Shanfeng Shao Sida Zhang Ruijin Liao Lijun Yang Chenjun Guo | 2018 | High Voltage2018,3,1: | 1
Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management (Health-EDRM) in Remote Ethnic Minority Areas of Rural China:The Case of a Flood-Prone Village in Sichuan显示文摘Remote, rural ethnic-minority communities face greater disaster-related public health risks due to their lack of resources and limited access to health care. The Ethnic Minority Health Project(EMHP) was initiated in 2009 to work with remote,disaster-prone ethnic-minority villages that live in extreme poverty. One of the project's aims is to develop and evaluate bottom-up health risk reduction efforts in emergency and disaster risk management(HealthEDRM).This article shares project updates and describes field intervention results from the Yi ethnic community of Hongyan village in China's Sichuan Province,an area that experiences recurrent floods. It was found that 64% of the village respondents had never considered any form of disaster preparation, even with the recurrent flood risks.Health intervention participants showed sustained knowledge retention and were nine times more likely to know the correct composition of oral rehydration solution(ORS) after the intervention.Participants also retained the improved knowledge on ORS and disaster preparedness kit ownership12 months after the intervention. | Emily Ying Yang Chan Chunlan Guo Poyi Lee Sida Liu Carman Ka Man Mark | 2017 | International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2017,8,2: | 1
Research progress on Cordyceps militaris polysaccharides显示文摘Cordyceps militaris is a famous medicinal and edible fungus, whose polysaccharides are important biologically active substances. In recent years, the molecular structure and pharmacological functions of C.militaris polysaccharides were fully studied. However, the potential mechanism of their pharmacological functions and their chemical modification have not been systematically elucidated. Moreover, the obtention and usage of C.militaris polysaccharides present several issues, including low polysaccharide yields and poor pharmacological functions in industrial production. This review presents the latest results on the pharmacological mechanism of C.militaris, including information on how to improve C.militaris industrial production through stabilization of the strain to prevent degeneration and chemical modifications of its polysaccharides. In addition, this article examines C.militaris fermentation conditions, the polysaccharides extraction methods developed for industrial production, and the strategies to increase the yield of polysaccharides and improve their pharmacological functions. This review could provide a theoretical basis for future research on C.militaris polysaccharides, and also serve as an important reference value in the field of functional foods and medicine. | Chunmei Gu Debin Zhang Wenjiao Zhai Huipeng Zhang Sida Wang Siyao Lv Yunxiang Bao Dengzhao Zhu Shangcai Feng Shaofen Guo Zhen Wang | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,45,1: | 0
S100a9 deficiency accelerates MDS-associated tumor escape via PD-1/PD-L1 overexpression显示文摘In recent studies, the tolerable safety profile and positive bone marrow(BM)response suggest a beneficial use of anti-PD-1 agents in the treatment of Myelodysplastic Syndromes(MDS),but the underlying mechanism is still unknown.MDS is mainly characterized by ineffective hematopoiesis, which may contribute to inflammatory signaling or immune dysfunction. Our previous studies focused on inflammatory signaling, and the results showed that S100a9 expression was higher in low-risk MDS and lower in high-risk MDS.In this study,we combine the inflammatory signaling and immune dysfunction.SKM-1 cells and K562 cells co-cultured with S100a9 acquire apoptotic features. Moreover,we confirm the inhibitory effect of S100a9 on PD-1/PD-L1.Importantly,PD-1/PD-L1 blockade and S100a9 can both activate the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. The cytotoxicity is higher in lowerrisk MDS-lymphocytes than in high-risk MDS-lymphocytes,and S100a9 partially rescues the exhausted cytotoxicity in lymphocytes. Our study demonstrates that S100a9 may inhibit MDS-associated tumor escape via PD-1/PD-L1 blockade through PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway activation. Our findings indicate the possible mechanisms by which anti-PD-1 agents may contribute to the treatment of MDS.These insights may provide mutation-specific treatment as a supplementary therapy for MDS patients with high-risk mutations, such as TP53,N-RAS or other complex mutations. | Roujia Wang Youshan Zhao Zijuan Li Juan Guo Sida Zhao Luxi Song Dong Wu Lan Wang Chunkang Chang | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,2: | 0
