| 1 | Chinese Stroke Association guidelines for clinical management of cerebrovascular disorders: executive summary and 2019 update of clinical management of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases显示文摘Aim Stroke is the leading cause of disability and death in China.Ischaemic stroke accounts for about 60%-80%of all strokes.It is of considerable significance to carry out multidimensional management of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases.This evidence-based guideline aims to provide the latest detailed and comprehensive recommendations on the diagnosis,treatment and secondary prevention of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases.Methods We had performed comprehensive searches of MEDLINE(via PubMed)(before 30 June 2019),and integrated the relevant information into charts and distributed to the writing group.Writing group members discussed and determined the recommendations through teleconference.We used the level of evidence grading algorithm of Chinese Stroke Association to grade each recommendation.The draft was reviewed by the Guideline Writing Committee of Chinese Stroke Association Stroke and finalised.This guideline is fully updated every 3 years.results This evidence-based guideline is based on the treatment,care and prevention of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases,which emphasises on pathogenesis evaluation,intravenous thrombolysis,endovascular therapy,antiplatelet therapy,prevention and treatment of complications,and risk factor management.Conclusions This updated guideline presents a framework for the management of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases.Timely first-aid measures,professional care in the acute stage,and proactive secondary prevention will be helpful to patients. | Liping Liu Weiqi Chen Hongyu Zhou Wanying Duan Shujuan Li Xiaochuan Huo Weihai Xu Li'an Huang Huaguang Zheng Jingyi Liu Hui Liu Yufei Wei Jie Xu Yongjun Wang | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2: | 42 |

| 3 | Temporal variations and source apportionment of volatile organic compounds at an urban site in Shijiazhuang, China显示文摘Shijiazhuang,the city with the worst air quality in China,is suffering from severe ozone pollution in summer.As the key precursors of ozone generation,it is necessary to control the Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)pollution.To have a better understanding of the pollution status and source contribution,the concentrations of 117 ambient VOCs were analyzed from April to August 2018 in an urban site in Shijiazhuang.Results showed that the monthly average concentration of total VOCs was 66.27 ppbv,in which,the oxygenated VOCs(37.89%),alkanes(33.89%),and halogenated hydrocarbons(13.31%)were the main composite on.Eight major sources were identified using Positive Matrix Factorization modeling with an accurate VOCs emission inventory as inter-complementary methods revealed that the petrochemical industry(26.24%),other industrial sources(15.19%),and traffic source(12.24%)were the major sources for ambient VOCs in Shijiazhuang.The spatial distributions of major industrial activities emissions were identified by using geographic information statistics system,which illustrated the VOCs was mainly from the north and southeast of Shijiazhuang.The inverse trajectory analysis using Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory(HYSPLIT)and Potential Source Contribution Function(PSCF)clearly demonstrated the features of pollutant transport to Shijiazhuang.These findings can provide references for local governments regarding control strategies to reduce VOCs emissions. | Yanan Guan Lei Wang Shujuan Wang Yihao Zhang Jieying Xiao Xiaoli Wang Erhong Duan Li'an Hou | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,11: | 19 |

| 11 | Reducing nitrogen runoff from paddy fields with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi under different fertilizer regimes显示文摘Nitrogen(N) runoff from paddy fields serves as one of the main sources of water pollution. Our aim was to reduce N runoff from paddy fields by fertilizer management and inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF). In northeast China, Shuangcheng city in Heilongjiang province, a field experiment was conducted, using rice provided with 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%,and 100% of the local norm of fertilization(including N, phosphorus and potassium), with or without inoculation with Glomus mosseae. The volume, concentrations of total N(TN),dissolved N(DN) and particulate N(PN) of runoff water were measured. We found that the local norm of fertilization led to 18.9 kg/ha of N runoff during rice growing season, with DN accounting for 60%–70%. We also found that reduction in fertilization by 20% cut down TN runoff by 8.2% while AMF inoculation decreased N runoff at each fertilizer level and this effect was inhibited by high fertilization. The combination of inoculation with AMF and 80% of the local norm of fertilization was observed to reduce N runoff by 27.2%. | 13 | Dual antiplatelet therapy may increase the risk of non-intracranial haemorrhage in patients with minor strokes: a subgroup analysis of the CHANCE trial显示文摘Aim:The aim of this study was to explore the difference between haemorrhagic events among those patients on either aspirin or aspirin plus clopidogrel who were enrolled in the Clopidogrel in High-Risk Patients with Acute Non-disabling Ischemic Cerebrovascular Events(CHANCE)trial.Methods:This was an ad hoc analysis of the CHANCE trial;data on all patients with any haemorrhagic event were reviewed and analysed.Cox proportional hazards regression was used to determine factors association with any bleeding.Results:In the CHANCE trial,there were a total of 101(2%)haemorrhagic events reported from 50 different hospitals.The clopidogrel–aspirin group had 60(2.3%)cases and the aspirin group had 41(1.6%,p=0.09).Moderate or severe haemorrhagic events occurred in 7 patients(0.3%)in the clopidogrel–aspirin group and in 8(0.3%)in the aspirin group(p=0.73).Of 36(0.7%)cases of intracranial haemorrhages,20(0.4%)were in the clopidogrel–aspirin group and 16(0.3%)in the aspirin group.Each group had 8(0.3%)cases of symptomatic haemorrhagic strokes.Other common haemorrhagic events included 24(0.5%)cases of skin bruises,13(0.3%)gastrointestinal haemorrhages,9(0.2%)gum haemorrhages and 8(0.2%)intraocular haemorrhages.Conclusions:There was no overall significant difference in haemorrhagic events(p=0.29),especially in the rate of intracranial haemorrhages between the 2 treatment groups.However,patients enrolled with minor strokes had an increased risk of haemorrhagic events regardless of treatment group,not seen in patients with high-risk transient ischaemic attacks.Being elderly,of male gender and with a history of aspirin or proton pump inhibitor usage were associated with increased risk of haemorrhage.Patients with higher body mass index had lower risk of haemorrhagic events. | David Wang Li Gui Yi Dong Hao Li Shujuan Li Huaguang Zheng Anxin Wang Xia Meng Li-Ping Liu Yi-Long Wang Guangyao Wang Jing Jing Zixiao Li Xing-Quan Zhao Yong-Jun Wang on behalf of the investigators for the CHANCE trial | 2016 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2016,1,2: | 8 |
| 14 | Combined application of a straw layer and flue gas desulphurization gypsum to reduce soil salinity and alkalinity显示文摘Burying a straw layer and applying flue gas desulphurization(FGD)gypsum are effective practices to ameliorate soil salinization or alkalization and to increase crop yield;however,little information exists on the effects of such integration in saline-alkali soils.A soil column experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of a straw layer plus FGD gypsum on soil salinity and alkalinity.We placed a straw layer(5 cm thick)at a depth of 30 cm and mixed FGD gypsum into the 0–20 cm soil layer at application rates of 7.5,15.0,22.5,and 30.0 t ha^-1,with no straw layer and FGD gypsum as a control(CK).The soil water content in the 0–30 cm soil layer was significantly higher(>7.8%)in the treated soil profiles after infiltration than in the CK,but decreased after evaporation.The electrical conductivity(EC)of the 10–30 cm soil layer was 230.2%and 104.9%higher in the treated soil profiles than in the CK after infiltration and evaporation,respectively,and increased with increasing rates of FGD gypsum application,with Ca^2+and SO4^2-being the main dissolved salts.Compared to those in the CK,the concentrations of Na^+,Cl^-,and HCO3-decreased in the treated soil profiles at depths above 55 cm,but the other soluble ions increased,after infiltration.A similar trend occurred after evaporation for all soluble ions except for HCO3-.The p H and exchangeable sodium percentage in the treated soil profiles were significantly lower than those in the CK over the entire profile,and decreased with increasing FGD gypsum application rates.Therefore,the incorporation of a straw layer plus FGD gypsum can reduce salinity and alkalinity,but the quantity of FGD gypsum should be controlled in saline-alkali soils. | Yonggan ZHAO Yan LI Shujuan WANG Jing WANG Lizhen XU | 2020 | Pedosphere2020,30,2: | 7 |

| 16 | FAT1, a direct transcriptional target of E2F1, suppresses cell proliferation, migration and invasion in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective: Growing evidence indicates that FAT atypical cadherin 1(FAT1) has aberrant genetic alterations and exhibits potential tumor suppressive function in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC). However, the role of FAT1 in ESCC tumorigenesis remains not well elucidated. The aim of this study was to further investigate genetic alterations and biological functions of FAT1, as well as to explore its transcriptional regulation and downstream targets in ESCC.Methods: The mutations of FAT1 in ESCC were achieved by analyzing a combined study from seven published genomic data, while the copy number variants of FAT1 were obtained from an analysis of our previous data as well as of The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) and Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia(CCLE) databases using the cBioPortal. The transcriptional regulation of FAT1 expression was investigated by chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP) and the luciferase reporter assays. In-cell western, Western blot and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR) were used to assess the indicated gene expression. In addition, colony formation and Transwell migration/invasion assays were employed to test cell proliferation, migration and invasion.Finally, RNA sequencing was used to study the transcriptomes.Results: FAT1 was frequently mutated in ESCC and was deleted in multiple cancers. Furthermore, the transcription factor E2 F1 occupied the promoter region of FAT1, and depletion of E2 F1 led to a decrease in transcription activity and mRNA levels of FAT1. Moreover, we found that knockdown of FAT1 promoted KYSE30 and KYSE150 cell proliferation, migration and invasion;while overexpression of FAT1 inhibited KYSE30 and KYSE410 cell proliferation, migration and invasion. New dwarfing genes are required for improving the genetic diversity of wheat. In this study, a novel dwarf mutant, NM9, was created by treating seeds of the wheat variety NAU9918 with ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS). NM9 showed obvious phenotypic changes, which were distinct from those caused by other dwarfing genes, especially the reduced plant height, increased effective tiller number, and elongated spike and grain length. The reduced plant height in NM9 was attributable to a semi-dominant dwarfing gene Rht_NM9, which was flanked by two closely linked SNP markers, SNP34 and SNP41, covering an 8.86-Mb region on the chromosome arm 2AS. The results of gibberellic acid(GA) sensitivity evaluation, comparative genomics analysis and allelism test indicated that Rht_NM9 was neither allelic to Rht7 and Rht21 nor homoeoallelic to Rht8, so Rht_NM9 was proposed to be a new dwarfing locus on the homoeologous group 2 chromosomes of wheat. It has a potential role in cellular signal transduction, inflammation, growth and differentiation. In this study, we evaluated the expression of this protein in lung tumor tissues and subsequently established a NCI-H520 cell line that stably expresses the wild-type ANXA5 gene to determine the effects of annexin A5 upregulation on the cell morphology, proliferation and metastasis potential in vitro.The effects of annexin A5 on NCI-H520 cells were tested by crystal violet staining, CCK-8 assay, scratch wound assay, and Transwell assay. The expressions of Akt,PCNA, vimentin, and E-cadherin were examined by Western blot assay. In this study, we demonstrated that annexin A5 is expressed at lower levels in tumor tissues compared with normal tissues. Additionally, the upregulation of this protein may inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities of NCI-H520 cells in vitro. | 19 | Is resource allocation and grain yield of rice altered by inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi?显示文摘Aims our study quantified the combined effects of fertilization and inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)on grain yield and allocation of biomass and nutrients in field-grown rice(Oryza sativa l.).Methods a two-factor experiment was conducted at a field site in northeast of China(in shuangcheng,Heilongjiang Province,songhua river basin):six nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer levels were provided(0,20,40,60,80 and 100%of the local norm of ferti-lizer supply),with or without inoculation with Glomus mosseae.at maturity,we quantified the percentage of root length colonization by AMF,grain yield,shoot:root ratios,shoot N and P contents and nutrients allocated to panicles,leaves and stems.Important Findingsas expected,inoculation resulted in greatly increased AMF colo-nization,which in turn led to higher shoot:root ratios and greater shoot N contents.shoot:root ratios of inoculated rice increased with increasing fertilization while there was a significant interaction between fertilization and inoculation on shoot:root ratio.additionally,a F inoculation increased panicle:shoot ratios,panicle N:shoot N ratios and panicle P:shoot P ratios,especially in plants grown at low fertilizer levels.Importantly,inoculated rice exhibited higher grain yield,with the maximum improvement(near 62%)at the lower fertilizer end.our results showed that(i)AMFinoculated plants conform to the functional equilibrium theory,albeit to a reduced extent compared to non-inoculated plants and(ii)AMF inoculation resulted in greater allocation of shoot biomass to panicles and increased grain yield by stimulating N and P redis-tribution to panicles. | Shujuan Zhang Li Wang Fang Ma Keith J.Bloomfield Jixian Yang Owen K.Atkin | 2015 | Journal of Plant Ecology2015,8,4: | 5 |
