| 15 | Predictability of polygenic risk score for progression to dementia and its interaction with APOEε4 in mild cognitive impairment显示文摘Background:The combinatorial efect of multiple genetic factors calculated as a polygenic risk score(PRS)has been studied to predict disease progression to Alzheimer’s disease(AD)from mild cognitive impairment(MCI).Previous studies have investigated the performance of PRS in the prediction of disease progression to AD by including and excluding single nucleotide polymorphisms within the region surrounding the APOE gene.These studies may have missed the APOE genotype-specifc predictability of PRS for disease progression to AD.Methods:We analyzed 732 MCI from the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative cohort,including those who progressed to AD within 5 years post-baseline(n=270)and remained stable as MCI(n=462).The predictability of PRS including and excluding the APOE region(PRS_(+APOE) and PRS_(−APOE))on the conversion to AD and its interaction with the APOEε4 carrier status were assessed using Cox regression analyses.Results:PRS_(+APOE)(hazard ratio[HR]1.468,95%CI 1.335-1.615)and PRS_(−APOE)(HR 1.293,95%CI 1.157-1.445)were both associated with a signifcantly increased risk of MCI progression to dementia.The interaction between PRS_(+APOE) and APOEε4 carrier status was signifcant with a P-value of 0.0378.The association of PRSs with the progression risk was stronger in APOEε4 non-carriers(PRS_(+APOE):HR 1.710,95%CI 1.244-2.351;PRS_(−APOE):HR 1.429,95%CI 1.182-1.728)than in APOEε4 carriers(PRS_(+APOE):HR 1.167,95%CI 1.005-1.355;PRS_(−APOE):HR 1.172,95%CI 1.020-1.346).Conclusions:PRS could predict the conversion of MCI to dementia with a stronger association in APOEε4 noncarriers than APOEε4 carriers.This indicates PRS as a potential genetic predictor particularly for MCI with no APOEε4 alleles. | Jung‑Min Pyun Young Ho Park Keon‑Joo Lee SangYun Kim Andrew J.Saykin Kwangsik Nho | 2021 | Translational Neurodegeneration2021,10,3: | 0 |
| 16 | Impacts of Sea Level Rise on the Coastal Areas to the West of the Bohai Bay显示文摘Based on the assumption of global sea level rising between 30 and 100 cm in the future 100 years by IPCC (1990) in addition to the effect of local ground subsidence, the coastline will retrograde for 50-70 km whose altitudes will be 2.6-3 .3m above MSL of Huanghai Sea in the western coastal area of the Bohai bay in 2100. The transgrassive area is about 10,000-11 ,500 km. If the effect of set-up of storm surge is considered, the transgressive area will reach 16,000 km. Sea level rise which is a serious coastal disaster not only inundates a lot of coastal lowland, but also increases the frequency and intensity of storm tides, and results in the salinization of soils. | 17 | Clustering Reference Images Based on Covisibility for Visual Localization显示文摘In feature-based visual localization for small-scale scenes,local descriptors are used to estimate the camera pose of a query image.For large and ambiguous environments,learning-based hierarchical networks that employ local as well as global descriptors to reduce the search space of database images into a smaller set of reference views have been introduced.However,since global descriptors are generated using visual features,reference images with some of these features may be erroneously selected.In order to address this limitation,this paper proposes two clustering methods based on how often features appear as well as their covisibility.For both approaches,the scene is represented by voxels whose size and number are computed according to the size of the scene and the number of available 3Dpoints.In the first approach,a voxel-based histogram representing highly reoccurring scene regions is generated from reference images.A meanshift is then employed to group the most highly reoccurring voxels into place clusters based on their spatial proximity.In the second approach,a graph representing the covisibility-based relationship of voxels is built.Local matching is performed within the reference image clusters,and a perspective-n-point is employed to estimate the camera pose.The experimental results showed that camera pose estimation using the proposed approaches was more accurate than that of previous methods. | Sangyun Lee Junekoo Kang Hyunki Hong | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,5: | 0 |
