1Acupuncture-movement therapy for acute lumbar sprain: a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Several studies have reported that acupuncture is effective for treatment of acute lumbar sprain, but they neglected to consider that acupuncture cannot remarkably improve lumbar activity. We performed a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effect of acupuncture-movement therapy versus conventional acupuncture in the treatment of acute lumbar sprain.METHODS: Sixty patients were randomized into four groups: the acupuncture-movement(AM)group, sham acupuncture-movement(SAM) group,conventional acupuncture(CA) group, and physical therapy(PT) group. Patients in the AM group were treated with acupuncture at Yintang(EX-HN 3) and exercise of the lumbar region during acupuncture.Patients in the SAM group were treated with sham acupuncture at Yintang(EX-HN 3) and exercise of the lumbar region during sham acupuncture. Conventional acupuncture was performed in the CA group, and physical therapy was applied in the PT group. Each treatment lasted for 20 min. Patients were assessed before and after treatment using a visual analogue scale(VAS) and the Roland Morris Questionnaire(RMQ).RESULTS: The VAS and RMQ scores in the AM group were significantly lower after than before treatment(P < 0.01). The AM group reported lower RMQ scores in after-treatment and 24 h after treatment and lower VAS score in 24 h after treatment in comparison with those of the CA, SAM, and PT groups(P < 0.05).CONCULSION: Acupuncture-movement therapy is effective for treating acute lumbar sprain with a persistent pain-relief and remarkable improvement of lumbar activity. 2Effect of stimulating acupoint Guanyuan(CV 4) on lower back pain by burning moxa heat for different time lengths: a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of different heat-stimulating time lengths on lower back pain.METHODS: Forty participants were randomly assigned to four groups of various heating time lengths. The short heating time length group(SL),moderate heating time length group(ML), and long heating time length group(LL) respectively received 15, 30, and 60 min of moxibustion therapy stimulating the acupoint Guanyuan(CV 4). The conventional acupuncture group(CA) received needle acupuncture treatment as a control group. The participants were treated continuously over a 2-week treatment period for a total of 10 sessions, with five sessions given per week. Participants were assessed weekly by blinded assessors, using the visual analogue scale(VAS) and Roland Morris Questionnaire(RMQ).RESULTS: The VAS and RMQ scores reduced in all four groups during treatment. There were significant differences in VAS scores(P < 0.01) and RMQ scores(P < 0.01) between before treatment and after 2 weeks of treatment in the LL group. 3Effect of acupuncture anesthesia on acne vulgaris of pricking-blood-letting cupping: a single-blind randomized clinical trail显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect on acne vulgaris of pricking-bloodletting cupping at Dazhui(GV 14) under acupuncture anesthesia, and establish whether providing anesthesia to the treatment area by manipulating Hegu(LI 4) and Quchi(LI 11) might have an additional therapeutic benefit. METHODS: Thirty-eight patients were recruited and randomized into a control group and an intervention group with a single-blind(observer-blind) method. The control group was treated by pricking-bloodletting cupping at Dazhui(GV 14) and the studied group by pricking-bloodletting cupping at Dazhui(GV 14) under acupuncture anesthesia at Hegu(LI 4) and Quchi(LI 11). Both groups were treated twice weekly for 6 weeks. The analgesic and therapeutic effects of acupuncture were evaluated on a visual analog scale(VAS) and global acne grading system(GAGS), respectively.RESULTS: There were differences in the VAS scores of pain on pricking and in the pricked area, and the duration of pain between the groups. After 12 treatments, there was a significant reduction in GAGS scores from baseline in both groups, but there was no significant difference between the groups. CONCLUSION: Acupuncture anesthesia at Hegu(LI 4) and Quchi(LI 11) is an effective means of alleviating the pain of pricking-bloodletting cupping and reducing the duration of pain in the treatment area. 4Beclin1-mediated ferroptosis activation is associated with isoflurane-induced toxicity in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells显示文摘The widely used inhalation anesthetic,isoflurane,potentially induces neuronal injury in clinical practice.Previous studies showed multiple forms of cell death that resulted from isoflurane-induced cytotoxicity,but the precise underlying mechanism remains poorly understood.Ferroptosis has recently been identified as a non-apoptotic form of regulated cell death.Here,we found that ferroptosis inhibitors,ferrostatin-1 and deferoxamine mesylate(DFOM),showed great efficiency in maintaining cell viability in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells exposed to a high concentration of isoflurane for 24 h.We also observed that cellular chelatable iron and lipid peroxidation were increased in a concentration-dependent manner in response to isoflurane.In addition,isoflurane upregulated Beclin1 phosphorylation,followed by the formation of a Beclin1-solute carrier family 7 member 11(SLC7A11)complex,which affected the activity of cystine/glutamate antipoter and further regulated ferroptotic cell death.Accordingly,Beclin1 overexpression aggravated isoflurane-induced cell damage by upregulating ferroptosis.This phenomenon was significantly attenuated by silencing of Beclin1 in SH-SY5Y cells.These findings indicate that Beclin1 may regulate ferroptosis in a manner involving inhibition of glutamate exchange activity of system xc(?),which is implicated in isoflurane-induced toxicity.In particular,when isoflurane is administrated at high concentrations and for an extended duration,ferroptosis is more likely to play a crucial role in isoflurane-induced toxicity.Ruizhu Liu Xuefeng Li Guoqing Zhao 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,11:6

6Biodegradable, Super-Strong, and Conductive Cellulose Macrofibers for Fabric-Based Triboelectric Nanogenerator显示文摘Electronic fibers used to fabricate wearable triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG) for harvesting human mechanical energy have been extensively explored. However, little attention is paid to their mutual advantages of environmental friendliness, mechanical properties, and stability. Here, we report a super-strong, biodegradable, and washable cellulose-based conductive macrofibers, which is prepared by wet-stretching and wet-twisting bacterial cellulose hydrogel incorporated with carbon nanotubes and polypyrrole. The cellulose-based conductive macrofibers possess high tensile strength of 449 MPa(able to lift 2 kg weights), good electrical conductivity(~ 5.32 S cm^(-1)), and excellent stability(Tensile strength and conductivity only decrease by 6.7% and 8.1% after immersing in water for 1 day). The degradation experiment demonstrates macrofibers can be degraded within 108 h in the cellulase solution. The designed fabric-based TENG from the cellulose-base conductive macrofibers shows a maximum open-circuit voltage of 170 V, short-circuit current of 0.8 μA, and output power at 352 μW, which is capable of powering the commercial electronics by charging the capacitors. More importantly, the fabric-based TENGs can be attached to the human body and work as self-powered sensors to effectively monitor human motions. 9Synthesis of SrTiO_3 for immobilization of simulated HLW by SHS显示文摘Strontium titanate synroc samples were synthesized by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). Sr directly took part in the synthesis process. As a result, the loading content issue is basically resolved. The products were characterized by density, microhardness X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM/EDS). The leaching rate was measured by the method of PCT (product consistency test). The results indicate that the Sr2+-SrTiO3 compound is of high density, low leach rate and high stability and the synthesis process is feasible in technology and economy. 10Synthesis of nanosized tungsten powder显示文摘Nanosized tungsten powder was synthesized by means of different methods and under different conditions with nanosized WO3 powder. The powder and the intermediate products were characterized using XRD, SEM, TEM, BET (Brunauer Emmett Teller Procedure) and SAXS (X-ray diffracto-spectrometer/Kratky small angle scattering goniometer). The results show that nanosized WO3 can be completely reduced to WO2 at 600℃ after 40 min, and WO2 can be reduced to W at 700℃ after 90 min, moreover, the mean size of W particles is less than 40 nm. 12Engineering homologous platelet-rich plasma,platelet-rich plasma-derived exosomes,and mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes-based dual-crosslinked hydrogels as bioactive diabetic wound dressings显示文摘The management of diabetic wounds remains a critical therapeutic challenge. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) gel, PRP-derived exosomes (PRP-Exos), and mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (MSC-Exos) have demonstrated therapeutic potential in wound treatment. Unfortunately, their poor mechanical properties, the short half-lives of growth factors (GFs), and the burst release of GFs and exosomes have limited their clinical applications. Furthermore, proteases in diabetic wounds degrade GFs, which hampers wound repair. Silk fibroin is an enzyme-immobilization biomaterial that could protect GFs from proteases. Herein, we developed novel dual-crosslinked hydrogels based on silk protein (SP) (sericin and fibroin), including SP@PRP, SP@MSC-Exos, and SP@PRP-Exos, to promote diabetic wound healing synergistically. SP@PRP was prepared from PRP and SP using calcium gluconate/thrombin as agonist, while SP@PRP-Exos and SP@MSC-Exos were derived from exosomes and SP with genipin as crosslinker. SP provided improved mechanical properties and enabled the sustained release of GFs and exosomes, thereby overcoming the limitations of PRP and exosomes in wound healing. The dual-crosslinked hydrogels displayed shear-induced thinning, self-healing, and eradication of microbial biofilms in a bone-mimicking environment. In vivo, the dual-crosslinked hydrogels contributed to faster diabetic wound healing than PRP and SP by upregulating GFs expression, down-regulating matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression, and by promoting an anti-NETotic effect, angiogenesis, and re-epithelialization. 14Investigation and Analysis of Rational Drug Use of Residents in Changshou District of Chongqing, China显示文摘The objective of this study was to acquire the information about residents of Changshou District’s knowledge levels and their behaviors of drug use so that implementation strategies of rational drug use can be formulated accordingly to promote and spread health education of rational drug use.Online and offline surveys were randomly conducted about rational drug use conditions of residents in Changshou District by questionnaires.Online questionnaires were sent to residents of Changshou District by Wenjuanxing,a professional platform used for surveys.Offline questionnaires were mainly distributed to residents of communities in Changshou District.All the online and offline statistics were analyzed and counted.309 questionnaires were distributed(176 online questionnaires and 133 paper questionnaires),and the effective recovery rate was 75.4%.According to investigation and survey,conditions of resident’s rational drug use were optimistic.Only 8.15%of residents who participated in the survey(or research subjects)took paracetamol tablets and Vitamin C Yinqiao tablets(also known as VC Honeysuckle Pills)at the same time when they had a cold or fever.Among 8.15%of residents,5.15%frequently took paracetamol,caffeine,and aspirin powder(also known as headache powder),80.26%checked expiration date of drugs before taking medicine,and>50%knew that drinking after taking medicines such as cephalosporin is prohibited.Common irrational problems caused by drug use were as follows:40%of research subjects took dietary supplements as drugs and 28%of them failed to know the correct usage and dosage of drugs.Proportion of drugs that were taken with irrational usage and dosage was antibiotics(64%),antibacterial(52%),drugs for patients with diabetes mellitus(36%),drugs for patients with hyperlipidemia,hypertension,and hyperglycemia(32%),vitamins(24%),drugs for the treatment of common cold and cough(20%),and others.Publicity of rational drug use should not be restricted to specific population,and knowledge of safe drug use is supposed to be actively popularized.Contents of rational drug use are as follows:Guide the public to correctly understand the functions of vitamins and dietary supplements strengthen publicity of rational use of drugs such as antibiotics,antibacterial drugs,drugs for chronic diseases,cold,and cough.Focus should be given on usage and dosage of drugs,use of antibacterial drugs,and repeated and excessive use of drugs caused by joint use of drugs with same ingredients of OTC drugs for the treatment of common cold and cough.Yu Jiangxia Fan Yongtong Wu Ruizhu Ji Huanhuan 2018Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2018,2,4:0
