| 2 | Fabrication and properties of ZAO powder,sputtering target materials and the related films显示文摘Aluminum-doped zinc oxide (ZnO:Al), abbreviated as ZAO, is a novel and widely used transparent conductive material. The ZAO powder was synthesized by chemical coprecipitation. The ZAO ceramic sputtering target materials were fabricated by sintering in air, and ZAO transparent conductive films were prepared by RF magnetron sputtering on glass substrates. XRD proved that such films had an orientation of (002) crystal panel paralleled to the surface of the glass substrate. | 3 | Impact of oceans on climate change in drylands显示文摘Drylands account for approximately 41% of the global total land area. Significant warming and rare precipitation in drylands result in a fragile ecology and deterioration of the living environment, making it more sensitive to global climate change. As an important regulator of the Earth's climate system, the oceans play a vital role in the process of climate change in drylands. In modern climate change in particular, the impact of marine activities on climate change in drylands cannot be neglected. This paper reviews the characteristics of climate change in drylands over the past 100 years, and summarizes the researches conducted on the impact of marine activities on these changes. The review focuses on the impact of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO), Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation(AMO), El Ni?o and La Ni?a on climate change in drylands, and introduces the mechanisms by which different oceanic oscillation factors synergistically affect climate change in drylands.Studies have shown that global drylands have experienced a significant intensification in warming in the past 100 years, which shows obvious characteristics of interdecadal dry/wet variations. The characteristics of these changes are closely related to the oscillatory factors of the oceanic interdecadal scale. Different phase combinations of oceanic oscillation factors significantly change the land-sea thermal contrast, which in turn affects the westerly jet, planetary wave and blocking frequency, resulting in changes in the temperature and dry/wet characteristics of drylands. | 9 | Strategy for efficient cloning of biosynthetic gene clusters from fungi显示文摘Filamentous fungi are excellent sources for the production of a group of bioactive small molecules which are often called secondary metabolites(SMs). The advanced genome sequencing technology combined with bioinformatics analysis reveals a large number of unexplored biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs) in the fungal genomes. To unlock this fungal SM treasure, many approaches including heterologous expression are being developed and efficient cloning of the BGCs is a crucial step to do this.Here, we present an efficient strategy for the direct cloning of fungal BGCs. This strategy consisted of Splicing by Overlapping Extension(SOE)-PCR and yeast assembly in vivo. By testing 14 BGCs DNA fragments ranging from 7 kb to 52 kb, the average positive rate was over 80%. The maximal insertion size for fungal BGC assembly was 52 kb. Those constructs could be used conveniently for the heterologous expression leading to the discovery of novel natural products. | 12 | Changes in the gut microbiota of osteoporosis patients based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Osteoporosis(OP)has become a major public health issue,threatening the bone health of middle-aged and elderly people from all around the world.Changes in the gut microbiota(GM)are correlated with the maintenance of bone mass and bone quality.However,research results in this field remain highly controversial,and no systematic review or meta-analysis of the relationship between GM and OP has been conducted.This paper addresses this shortcoming,focusing on the difference in the GM abundance between OP patients and healthy controls based on previous 16S ribosomal RNA(rRNA)gene sequencing results,in order to provide new clinical reference information for future customized prevention and treatment options of OP.Methods:According to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA),we comprehensively searched the databases of Pub Med,Web of Science,Embase,Cochrane Library,and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).In addition,we applied the R programming language version 4.0.3 and Stata 15.1 software for data analysis.We also implemented the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale(NOS),funnel plot analysis,sensitivity analysis,Egger’s test,and Begg’s test to assess the risk of bias.Results:This research ultimately considered 12 studies,which included the fecal GM data of 2033 people(604 with OP and 1429 healthy controls).In the included research papers,it was observed that the relative abundance of Lactobacillus and Ruminococcus increased in the OP group,while the relative abundance for Bacteroides of Bacteroidetes increased(except for Ireland).Meanwhile,Firmicutes,Blautia,Alistipes,Megamonas,and Anaerostipes showed reduced relative abundance in Chinese studies.In the linear discriminant analysis Effect Size(LEfSe)analysis,certain bacteria showed statistically significant results consistently across different studies.Conclusions:This observational meta-analysis revealed that changes in the GM were correlated with OP,and variations in some advantageous GM might involve regional differences. | Rui HUANG Pan LIU Yiguang BAI Jieqiong HUANG Rui PAN Huihua LI Yeping SU Quan ZHOU Ruixin MA Shaohui ZONG Gaofeng ZENG | 2022 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,12: | 0 |

| 14 | Dynamic compression behavior of TiZrNbV refractory high-entropy alloys upon ultrahigh strain rate loading显示文摘In this study,the dynamic compressive response behavior of a body-centered cubic(BCC)single-phase TiZrNbV refractory high-entropy alloy(RHEA)was investigated under impact at speeds of 313-1584 m s^(-1)using two-stage,gas-gun-driven,high-speed plate-impact experiments;recovery sample analysis;and theoretical calculations.The strain rate and pressure were approximately 10^(7) s^(−1) and 5.07-29.37 GPa,respectively.The results showed that the TiZrNbV RHEA had a Hugoniot elastic limit of 4.12-5.86 GPa and a spall strength of 1.84-2.03 GPa.The initial yield strength of the alloy showed a strong strain-rate dependence and could be described by the modified Zerilli-Armstrong model,while the phonon-damping effect was the main reason for its high strain-rate sensitivity.Microstructural analysis showed that the dynamic deformation of the TiZrNbV RHEA was controlled by the dislocation slip,dislocation proliferation,intersection of the deformation bands,and grain refinement.The analysis also showed that the intergranular,transgranular,and mixed-type cracks dominated the spall failure of the material.The dynamic Hall-Petch effect and pinning from the lattice distortion led to high dynamic yield strength.The critical strain rate for the phonon drag effect was positively related to the relative atomic mass and local strain field of the metals.Within the experimental loading range,the RHEA showed good structural stability,and simultaneously,the theoretical calculation method for the equation of state based on a cold-energy mixture could accurately predict its shock-response behavior.The valence-electron concentration(VEC)had a direct effect on the shock-compression properties of the HEAs;higher VEC implied more difficulty in compressing the HEAs.The findings of this study provide insights into understanding the mechanical response characteristics of RHEAs under extreme conditions such as high-speed impact and ultrahigh strain-rate loading. | Kerong Ren Hongyang Liu Rong Ma Sen Chen Siyuan Zhang Ruixin Wang Rong Chen Yu Tang Shun Li Fangyun Lu | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,30: | 0 |
| 15 | Short-chain fatty acids ameliorate spinal cord injury recovery by regulating the balance of regulatory T cells and effector IL-17^(+) γδ T cells显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)causes motor,sensory,and autonomic dysfunctions.The gut microbiome has an important role in SCI,while short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)are one of the main bioactive mediators of microbiota.In the present study,we explored the effects of oral administration of exogenous SCFAs on the recovery of locomotor function and tissue repair in SCI.Allen’s method was utilized to establish an SCI model in Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats.The animals received water containing a mixture of 150 mmol/L SCFAs after SCI.After 21 d of treatment,the Basso,Beattie,and Bresnahan(BBB)score increased,the regularity index improved,and the base of support(BOS)value declined.Spinal cord tissue inflammatory infiltration was alleviated,the spinal cord necrosis cavity was reduced,and the numbers of motor neurons and Nissl bodies were elevated.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR),and immunohistochemistry assay revealed that the expression of interleukin(IL)-10 increased and that of IL-17 decreased in the spinal cord.SCFAs promoted gut homeostasis,induced intestinal T cells to shift toward an anti-inflammatory phenotype,and promoted regulatory T(Treg)cells to secrete IL-10,affecting Treg cells and IL-17^(+)γδT cells in the spinal cord.Furthermore,we observed that Treg cells migrated from the gut to the spinal cord region after SCI.The above findings confirm that SCFAs can regulate Treg cells in the gut and affect the balance of Treg and IL-17^(+)γδT cells in the spinal cord,which inhibits the inflammatory response and promotes the motor function in SCI rats.Our findings suggest that there is a relationship among gut,spinal cord,and immune cells,and the“gut-spinal cord-immune”axis may be one of the mechanisms regulating neural repair after SCI. | Pan LIU Mingfu LIU Deshuang XI Yiguang BAI Ruixin MA Yaomin MO Gaofeng ZENG Shaohui ZONG | 2023 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2023,24,4: | 0 |
