1Development of a supercritical and an ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed boiler显示文摘The supercritical circulating fluidized bed(CFB)boiler,which combines the advantages of CFB combustion with low cost emission control and supercritical steam cycle with high efficiency of coal energy,is believed to be the future of CFB combustion technology.It is also of greatest importance for low rank coal utilization in China.Different from the supercritical pulverized coal boiler that has been developed more than 50 years,the supercritical CFB boiler is still a new one which requires further investigation.Without any precedentor engineering reference,Chinese researchers have con ducted fundamental research,development,design of the supercritical CFB boilers independently.The design theory and key technology for supercritical CFB boiler were proposed.Key components and novel structures were invented.The first 600 MWe supercritical CFB boiler and its auxiliaries were successfully developed and demonstrated in Baima Power Plant,Shenhua Group as well as the simulator,control technology,installation technology,commissioning technology,system integration and operation technology.Compared with the 460 MWe supercritical CFB in Poland,developed in the same period and the only other supercritical one of commercial running in the word beside Baima,the 600 MWe one in Baima has a better performance.Besides,supercritical CFB boilers of 350 MWe have been developed and widely commercialized in China.In this paper,the updated progress of 660 MWe ultra-supercritical CFB boilers under development is introduced.Junfu LYU Hairui YANG Wen LING Li NIE Guangxi YUE Ruixin LI Ying CHEN Shilong WANG 2019Frontiers in Energy2019,13,1:11
2Extreme Learning Machine-Based Thermal Model for Lithium-Ion Batteries of Electric Vehicles under External Short Circuit显示文摘External short circuit(ESC)of lithium-ion batteries is one of the common and severe electrical failures in electric vehicles.In this study,a novel thermal modelis developed to capture the temperature behavior of batteries under ESC conditions.Experiments were systematically performed under different battery initial state of charge and ambient temperatures.Based on the experimental results,we employed an extreme learming machine(ELM)-based thermal(ELMT)model to depict battery temperature behavior under ESC,where a lumped-state thermal model was used to replace the activation function of conventional ELMs.To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model,wecompared the ELMT model with a multi-lumped-state thermal(MLT)model parameterized by thegenetic algorithm using the experimental data from various sets of battery cells.It is shown that the ELMT model can achieve higher computa-tional efficiency than the MLT model and better fitting and prediction accuracy,where the average root mean squared error(RMSE)of the fitting is 0.65℃ for the ELMT model and 3.95℃ for the MLT model,and the RMES of the prediction under new data set is 3.97℃ for the ELMT model and 6.11℃ for the MLT model.Ruixin Yang Rui Xiong Weixiang Shen Xinfan Lin 2021Engineering2021,7,3:11
3Effects of total soy saponins on free radicals in the quadriceps femoris,serum testosterone,LDH,and BUN of exhausted rats显示文摘Purpose:The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of total soy saponins(TS) on the free radical metabolism from the quadriceps femoris muscle,serum testosterone,lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),and blood urea nitrogen(BUN) in rats exercised to exhaustion.Methods:A one-time exhausted treadmill exercise session was used.Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups:a control group—animals receiving no TS and no exercise(NTSNE),animals receiving TS but no exercise group(TSNE),animals receiving no TS but exercised to exhaustion group(NTSE),and animals receiving TS and exercised to exhaustion group(TSE).The TSNE and TSE groups were fed TS at a dosage of 20 mg/kg body weight once per day for 2 weeks.The NTSE group was given a placebo,and the NTSNE group was not given any treatment.The NTSE and TSE groups were exercised at speed of 30 m/min on treadmill until exhausted.The exercise time and exercise distance were recorded when the rats became exhausted and the rats were then decapitated and anatomized immediately.A 10% homogenate of the quadriceps femoris tissue was prepared.The levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),glutathione reductase(GR),reduced glutathione(GSH),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),LDH,BUN,and serum testosterone were tested.Results:TS significantly increased the exercise time to exhaustion by 20.62%(p < 0.05).The MDA levels were decreased significantly in the TSNE group than in NTSNE group(p < 0.05);the T-AOC levels increased significantly in the TSNE group than in the other 3 groups(p < 0.01,p < 0.05,p < 0.05).The LDH activity significantly increased in the NTSE group than in TSNE group(p < 0.05).The BUN levels significantly increased in the NTSE group than in the other 3 groups(p < 0.01,p < 0.01,p < 0.05),and significantly increased in the TSE group than in NTSNE and TSNE groups(both p < 0.01).The serum testosterone levels increased significantly in the TSNE group than in the other 3 groups(all p < 0.01).SOD,CAT,GSH-Px,GR,and GSH were not statistically different among the groups.Conclusion:TS can significantly improve the exercised rats' serum testosterone level and antioxidant activity in their quadriceps femoris to varying degrees,decrease MDA and serum LDH and BUN levels,increase the exercise time,and delay the occurrence of the fatigue.Zhigang Liu Ruixin Nie Yun Liu Zhouhong Li Chenxi Yang Zhengying Xiong 2017Journal of Sport and Health Science2017,6,3:8

5Delayed baroclinic response of the Antarctic circum-polar current to surface wind stress显示文摘The Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC) responds to the surface windstress via two processes, i.e., the instant barotropic process and the delayed baroclinic process. This study focuses on the baroclinic instability mechanism in ACC, which was less reported in the literatures. Results show that the strengthening of surface zonal windstress causes the enhanced tilting of the isopycnal surface, leading to more intense baroclinic instability. Simultaneously, the mesoscale eddies resulting from the baro- clinic instability facilitate the transformation of mean potential energy to eddy energy, which causes the remarkable decrease of the ACC volume transport with the 2-year lag time. 6On-board Diagnosis of Soft Short Circuit Fault in Lithium-ion Battery Packs for Electric Vehicles Using an Extended Kalman Filter显示文摘The safety of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles(EVs)is attracting more attention.To ensure battery safety,early detection is necessary of a soft short circuit(SC)which may evolve into severe SC faults,leading to fire or thermal runaway.This paper proposes a soft SC fault diagnosis method based on the extended Kalman filter(EKF)for on-board applications in EVs.In the proposed method,the EKF is used to estimate the state of charge(SOC)of the faulty cell by adjusting a gain matrix based on real-time measured voltages.The SOC difference between the estimated SOC and the calculated SOC through coulomb counting for the faulty cell is employed to detect soft SC faults,and the soft SC resistance values are further identified to indicate the degree of fault severity.Soft SC experiments are developed to investigate the characteristics of a series-connected battery pack under different working conditions when one battery cell in the pack is short-circuited with different resistance values.The experimental data are acquired to validate the proposed soft SC fault diagnosis method.The results show that the proposed method is effective and robust in quickly detecting a soft SC fault and accurately estimating soft SC resistance.Ruixin Yang Rui Xiong Weixiang Shen 2022CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,1:5
7A Novel Strategy to Fabricate Core-Sheath Structure Piezoelectric Yarns for Wearable Energy Harvesters显示文摘Wearable and portable electronic devices based on textile structure have been widely used owing to their wearability and comfortableness.However,yarn fineness and the comfort of the fabric cannot satisfy the requirements of smart wearable devices.This work presents a novel strategy to prepare highly integrated PVDF/conductive nylon core-sheath structure piezoelectric yarns for wearable which is fabricated by combining electrospinning strategy with 2D braiding technology.The fineness of single yarns as well as strength are both improved significantly compared to previous works.The piezoelectric outputs of the yarn are still stable after 800 s fatigue test at a frequency of 4 Hz,and the cycle stability can maintain more than 3200 cycles.Furthermore,the piezoelectric yarns are further woven into piezoelectric plain fabric.According to the electrical performance,the length of the piezoelectric yarn and the thickness of the piezoelectric layer would both affect the output electrical performance.The yarn of the 10 cm in length and 600μm in fineness can produce an output voltage of 120 mV.Meanwhile,Both the piezoelectric yarn and the fabric could generate piezoelectric output signals through human movement,such as bending,walking.Therefore,the electrical and mechanical performance of the piezoelectric yarns prepared in our work could be improved significantly,and the comfortableness and durability performance of the piezoelectric fabric can satisfy most wearing requirements,which would provide some help in the field of piezoelectric wearable devices based on yarns and fabrics.Lili Xue Wei Fan Yang Yu Kai Dong Chengkun Liu Yanli Sun Cong Zhang Weichun Chen Ruixin Lei Kai Rong Qi Wang 2021Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,4:3
8Multi-component hydrogen-bonding salts formed between imidazole and aromatic acids:Synthons cooperation and crystal structures显示文摘Imidazole base was crystallized with different aromatic carboxylic acids 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, 5-chlorosalicylic acid, and 1,8-naphthalic acid, affording three new binary molecular organic salts of [(C 3 H 5 N 2 + )·(C 7 H 5 O 4 )] (1), [(C 3 H 5 N 2 + )·(C 7 H 4 O 3 Cl )] C 7 H 5 O 3 Cl (2), and [(C 3 H 5 N 2 + ) (C 12 H 7 O 4 )] (3). Proton transfer occurs from the COOH of carboxylic acid to nitrogen of imidazole in all complexes (1-3), leading to the hydrogen bond N-H…O in all structures. To our knowledge, the recognition pattern between the carboxylic acid group and imidazole (acid-imidazole synthon) is less well-studied so far. The cooperation among COOH, COO and imidazolium cation functional groups for the observed hydrogen bond synthons is examined in the three structures. Generally, the strong N-H…O and O-H…O hydrogen bonds define supramolecular architecture and connectivity within chains, while weaker C-H…O hydrogen bonds play the dominant role in controlling the interactions between layers in these novel organic salts. 9Molecular dynamics simulations of surfactant adsorption at oil/water interface under shear flow显示文摘Surfactants are extensively used in many chemical products to improve their stability, appearance, texture, and rheology. Precise control of the emulsion droplet size distribution, which depends on the characteristics of the surfactant used, is important for target-oriented product design. A complete understand! ng of the structures and dynamics of emulsion droplets at the reactor level requires coupling of two mesoscale physical constraints, that at the interfacial level, i.e., smaller than a single droplet (Mesoscale- 1), and that at the device level, i.e., larger than a single droplet (Mesoscale-2). In this work, the structures and adsorption kinetics of Mesoscale-1 surfactant molecules were studied via coarse-grained molecular dynamics. A non-equilibrium model that could introduce stable shear flow into the simulation box was used to investigate the interfacial structures at the droplet interface under different shear rates. The configurations of the surfactant molecules and adsorption amounts were compared with those obtained without flow. The adsorption kinetics for different shear rates were compared to determine the effects of hydrodynamic interactions. The dominant mechanisms governing the dynamic structures can thus be summarized as maximization of the adsorption density at the interface and minimization of flow resistance in the bulk phase (water and/or oil molecules). A scheme for coupling between Mesoscale-1 and Mesoscale-2 is proposed. 10“Trends” and variations of global oceanic evaporation data sets from remote sensing显示文摘The variability in global oceanic evaporation data sets was examined for the period 1988-2000.These data sets are satellite estimates based on bulk aerodynamic formulations and include the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center Satellite-based Surface Turbulent Flux version 2(GSSTF2),the Japanese-ocean flux using remote sensing observations(J-OFURO),and the Hamburg Ocean-Atmosphere Parameters and Fluxes from Satellite version 2(HOAPS2).The National Center for Environmental Prediction(NCEP)reanalysis is also included for comparison.An increase in global average surface latent heat flux(SLHF)can be observed in all the data sets.Empirical mode decomposition(EMD)shows long-term increases that started around 1990 for all remote sensing data sets.The effect of Mt.Pinatubo eruption in 1991 is clearly evident in HOAPS2 but is independent of the long-term increase.Linear regression analyses show increases of 9.4%,13.0%,7.3%,and 3.9% for GSSTF2,J-OFURO,HOAPS2 and NCEP,for the periods of the data sets.Empirical orthogonal function(EOF)analyses show that the pattern of the first EOF of all data sets is consistent with a decadal variation associated with the enhancement of the tropical Hadley circulation,which is supported by other satellite observations.The second EOF of all four data sets is an ENSO mode,and the correlations between their time series and an SOI are 0.74,0.71,0.59,and 0.61 for GSSTF2,J-OFURO,HOAPS2,and NCEP in that order.When the Hadley modes are removed from the remote sensing data,the residue global increases are reduced to 2.2%,7.3%,and <1% for GSSTF2,J-OFURO and HOAPS,respectively.If the ENSO mode is used as a calibration standard for the data sets,the Hadley mode is at least comparable to,if not larger than,the ENSO mode during our study period.CHIU Long S CHOKNGAMWONG R XING Yukun YANG Ruixin SHIE Chung-Lin 2008Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,3:2
11Meso-scale available gravitational potential in the world oceans显示文摘The pitfalls of applying the commonly used definition of available gravitational potential energy (AGPE) to the world oceans are re-examined. It is proposed that such definition should apply to the meso-scale problems in the oceans, not the global scale. Based on WOA98 climatological data, the meso-scale AGPE in the world oceans is estimated. Unlike previous results by Oort et al., the meso-scale AGPE is large wherever there is a strong horizontal density gradient. 12Online power management strategy for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles based on deep reinforcement learning and driving cycle reconstruction显示文摘This paper proposes a novel power management strategy for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles based on deep reinforcement learning algorithm.Three parallel soft actor-critic(SAC)networks are trained for high speed,medium speed,and low-speed conditions respectively;the reward function is designed as minimizing the cost of energy cost and battery aging.During operation,the driving condition is recognized at each moment for the algorithm invoking based on the learning vector quantization(LVQ)neural network.On top of that,a driving cycle reconstruction algorithm is proposed.The historical speed segments that were recorded during the operation are reconstructed into the three categories of high speed,medium speed,and low speed,based on which the algorithms are online updated.The SAC-based control strategy is evaluated based on the standard driving cycles and Shenyang practical data.The results indicate the presented method can obtain the effect close to dynamic programming and can be further improved by up to 6.38%after the online update for uncertain driving conditions.Zhiyuan Fang Zeyu Chen Quanqing Yu Bo Zhang Ruixin Yang 2022Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation2022,1,2:1

15Co-crystallization of glycine anhydride with the hydroxybenzoic acids: Controlled formation of dimers via synthons cooperation and structural characterization显示文摘The results of crystallographic analyses on 1:1 and 1:4 well-defined co-crystals formed between glycine anhydride and each of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid and 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid are described. Neutral molecules are connected via heteromeric O-H···O and N-H···O contacts leading to different packing arrangements of supramolecular chains. On the basis of the molecular structures of glycine anhydride and carboxylic acid guests, the hydrogen bonds are arranged to give centrosymmetric synthons V and VII which are noteworthy for their robustness. Hydrogen-bond interactions between glycine anhydride and aromatic acid provide sufficient driving force to direct molecular recognition and crystal packing. Utilization of the orientation of functional groups of the building blocks, the acidity, and weak interactions provides a route for the creation of novel supra- molecular architectures in the crystal lattice. Both two co-crystals contain the expected hydrogen-bonded motifs, and there has been no proton transfer from either of the two carboxylic acids to the aza compound moiety. This demonstrates that glycine anhydride is very capable of affecting the construction of binary co-crystals in a predictable and rationale manner. It is noted that synthons VⅢ and IX are fairly large, but the real challenge in crystal engineering is to find a big enough synthon that occurs often enough. 17A quick and reliable image-based AI algorithm for evaluating cellular senescence of gastric organoids显示文摘Objective:Organoids are a powerful tool with broad application prospects in biomedicine.Notably,they provide alternatives to animal models for testing potential drugs before clinical trials.However,the number of passages for which organoids maintain cellular vitality ex vivo remains unclear.Methods:Herein,we constructed 55 gastric organoids from 35 individuals,serially passaged the organoids,and captured microscopic images for phenotypic evaluation.Senescence-associatedβ-galactosidase(SA-β-Gal),cell diameter in suspension,and gene expression reflecting cell cycle regulation were examined.The YOLOv3 object detection algorithm integrated with a convolutional block attention module(CBAM)was used to evaluate organoid vitality.Results:SA-β-Gal staining intensity;single-cell diameter;and expression of p15,p16,p21,CCNA2,CCNE2,and LMNB1 reflected the progression of aging in organoids during passaging.The CBAM-YOLOv3 algorithm precisely evaluated aging organoids on the basis of organoid average diameter,organoid number,and number×diameter,and the findings positively correlated with SA-β-Gal staining and single-cell diameter.Organoids derived from normal gastric mucosa had limited passaging ability(passages 1–5),before aging,whereas tumor organoids showed unlimited passaging potential for more than 45 passages(511 days)without showing clear senescence.Conclusions:Given the lack of indicators for evaluating organoid growth status,we established a reliable approach for integrated analysis of phenotypic parameters that uses an artificial intelligence algorithm to indicate organoid vitality.This method enables precise evaluation of organoid status in biomedical studies and monitoring of living biobanks.Ruixin Yang Yutong Du Wingyan Kwan Ranlin Yan Qimeng Shi Lu Zang Zhenggang Zhu Jianming Zhang Chen Li Yingyan Yu 2023Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,7:1

20Nonlinear optical material of a low-dimensional coordination polymer:Synthesis,structure,NLO and fluorescence properties显示文摘Employing unsymmetrical 2-mercapto-5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole and 2,2′-bipyridine as mixed ligands, a new low-dimensional coordination polymer [Zn(MMTA) 2 (2,2′-bipy)] n (MMTA = 2-mercapto-5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole, 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine), has been synthesized under solvothermal condition and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. This compound crys- tallizes in the noncentrosymmetric space group Cc, with cell parameters: a = 8.291(4) , b = 15.483(9) , c = 15.620(6) , = 96.00(5)°, V = 1994.1(2) 3 , and Z = 4. The mixed ligands link the zinc center into a mononuclear unit, which is futher linked by weak C-H···N and C-H···S hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional noncentrosymmetric framework. The compound exhibits intense photoluminescence and distinct NLO properties at room temperature. The intensity of the green light produced by the powder sample of the compound is about 3.2 times that produced by KDP powder.
