| 2 | Improving the Local Sheep in Gansu via Crossing with Introduced Sheep Breeds Dorset and Borderdale显示文摘In order to improve the meat performance of local sheep in Gansu Province,Dorset and Borderdale were introduced to crossbreed with local sheep which were Tan sheep,Small-tail Han sheep and Mongolia sheep. The offspring under different crossbreeding combinations were sampled randomly at the different growing stage to measure their growth traits so as to select optimize the crossbreeding mode. The results indicated that,for the same crossbreeding mode,the growth rate of progeny was in order F3> F2> F1; for the F3 progeny,the combinations Dorset- Borderdale- Small tail Han sheep and Dorset- Borderdale- Mongolia sheep gave a higher growth rate,with a body weight of 1. 57%,3. 17%,8. 23%,1. 15% higher in male and female individuals than the counterparts of Dorset and Tan sheep and Small tail Han sheep; for the F2 progeny,the combinations Dorset- Borderdale- Small tail Han sheep and Dorset- Borderdale- Mongolia sheep also gave a higher growth rate,with a body weight of 2. 15%,4. 53%,9. 21% and 2. 75% higher in male and female individuals than the counterparts of Dorset and Tan sheep and Small tail Han sheep; for the F1 progeny,the combination Borderdale and Small tail Han sheep assumed a higher growth rate,with a body weight of 3. 23%,6. 07%,7. 42% and 8. 66% higher in male and female individuals than the counterparts of Borderdale- Mongolia sheep and Tan sheep- Small tail Han sheep,respectively. | 3 | Solvent effects on Pt-Ru/C catalyst for methanol electro-oxidation显示文摘Alloying degree,particle size and the level of dispersion are the key structural parameters of Pt-Ru/C catalyst in fuel cells.Solvent(s) used in the preparation process can affect the particle size and alloying degree of the object substance,which lead to a great positive impact on its properties.In this work,three types of solvents and their mixtures were used in preparation of the Pt-Ru/C catalysts by chemical reduction of metal precursors with sodium borohydride at room temperature.The structure of the catalysts was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The catalytic activity and stability for methanol electro-oxidation were studied by Cyclic Voltammetry(CV) and Chronoamperometry(CA).Pt-Ru/C catalyst prepared in H2O or binary solvents of H2O and isopropanol had large particle size and low alloying degree leading to low catalytic activity and less stability in methanol electro-oxidation.When tetrahydrofuran was added to the above solvent systems,Pt-Ru/C catalyst prepared had smaller particle size and higher alloying degree which resulted in better catalytic activity,lower onset and peak potentials,compared with the above catalysts.Moreover,the catalyst prepared in ternary solvents of isopropanol,water and tetrahydrofuran had the smallest particle size,and the high alloying degree and the dispersion kept unchanged.Therefore,this kind of catalyst showed the highest catalytic activity and good stability for methanol electro-oxidation. | Jinwei Chen Chunping Jiang Hui Lu Lan Feng Xin Yang Liangqiong Li Ruilin Wang | 2009 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2009,18,3: | 2 |
| 4 | Analysis on Autofrettage of Cylinders显示文摘Autofrettage is an effective technique to improve load-bearing capacity and safety for pressure vessels.For autofrettaged cylinder,the depth of plastic zone,or overstrain is a key factor which affects load-bearing capacity and safety.The previous research on overstrain was not done in terms of the point of view of raising load-bearing capacity as far as possible and simultaneously avoiding compressive yield for cylinders experiencing autofrettage handling,and there were no analytic solutions of autofrettage in the above view point presented,the 3rd and 4th strength theories were not applied synthetically in the research to compare the results from these two theories.In this paper,with the aid of the analytic method,based on summing up the authors' previous research,results from autofrettage of a cylinder based on the 3rd and 4th strength theories are studied and compared,and the laws contained in the results are looked into.Then,the essential cause and reason for the obtained laws are analyzed and the inherent and meaning relations between various parameters in autofrettage theory are revealed.It is shown that the maximum radius ratio for equivalent residual stress at inside surface never exceeds the yield strength even for a cylinder experiencing wholly yielded autofrettage,or the critical radius ratio is kc=2.218 457 489 916 7…,irrespective of the 3rd or 4th strength theories.The equation relating the depth of plastic zone with the thickness of a cylinder is identical for the 3rd and 4th strength theories.In form,the optimum load-bearing capacity of an autofrettaged cylinder is two times the initial yield pressure of the unautofrettaged cylinder irrespective of the 3rd or 4th strength theory.The revealed inherent relations between various parameters and varying laws of the parameters as well as the forms of the relations under the 3rd and 4th strength theories not only have theoretical meanings but also have prospects in engineering application. | ZHU Ruilin ZHU Guolin TANG Feng | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,3: | 2 |
| 5 | Bearing capacity of surface circular footings on granular material under low gravity fields显示文摘Low gravity fields have been simulated through magnetic acceleration to conduct experimental study on bearing capacity of circular footings on a type of crushable planetary regolith simulant,which has comparable density and particle size distribution of lunar soil.The loadesettlement responses of surface spread footings are obtained by investigating the relative density,footing size and gravity effects.Applying the hyperbolic asymptote method,normalised foundation stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity are obtained by curve fitting and predicted by power functions using multivariate nonlinear regression.The results show that the nonlinear gravity effect is not negligible,related to stress condition,soil dilatancy and mobilised friction angle.A cone penetration test(CPT)-based method for prediction of bearing capacity is proposed with correlations between ultimate bearing capacity of footings and shallow penetration stiffness of CPTs,avoiding the uncertainties of soil property estimations.Analyses of allowable bearing capacity and footing influence zone in consideration of footing size and gravity effects could therefore improve the design of shallow foundations on the Moon and Mars,and provide new understandings and potential implications to the bearing capacity of shallow foundations on crushable granular material in both terrestrial and extraterrestrial geotechnical engineering. | Pin-Qiang Mo Guoqing Zhou Feng Gao Ruilin Li | 2021 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,3: | 2 |

| 9 | A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. | 18 | Pusher:an augmented fuzzer based on the connection between input and comparison operand显示文摘Coverage based fuzzing is a widespread vulnerability detection technique,and it has exposed many bugs in many real-world programs.However,its attention is to eliminate the testing on the repeated paths,yet it still employs random mutation to generate inputs,which is blind to penetrate complex comparisons in the program.As a result,the testing coverage is limited.Despite some solution proposals are presented,this problem is still partially solved.This paper argues that random mutation is mainly limited by two challenges,the sizable search space and the lack of a useful feedback to direct the search.Then we present an augmented fuzzing technique by addressing these two challenges.First of all,we point out a black relationship between input contents and comparison operands,which is dubbed connection.Second,we present a novel method to collect the comparison operands during execution,which is leveraged to infer the connections.Based on the connections,the fuzzer can learn about which input byte affects on which comparison instruction to establish a smaller search space.Third,the connection provides a useful feedback to direct the search.We resort to a modern metaheuristic algorithm to satisfy this searching requirement.We developed a prototype Pusher and evaluated its performance on several benchmarks and four real-world programs.The experimental results demonstrate that Pusher works better than some other state-of-the-art fuzzers on bug detection,and can achieve a higher testing coverage.Moreover,we take a detailed statistic about the execution overhead in Pusher,and the results indicate that the execution overhead introduced by our approach is within an acceptable scope. | Bin Zhang Jiaxi Ye Ruilin Li Chao Feng Yunfei Su Chaojing Tang | 2022 | Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,4: | 0 |
