1Gastrointestinal bleeding during acute ischaemic stroke hospitalisation increases the risk of stroke recurrence显示文摘Objective Gastrointestinal(GI)bleeding in patients who had a stroke is strongly associated with a higher risk of death and loss of independence.However,it is unknown whether GI bleeding increases risk for recurrence of stroke.In this study,we assess the potential relationship between GI bleeding and stroke recurrence in patients within 12 months of an acute ischaemic stroke(AIS),using the China National Stroke Registry(CNSR).Methods This study included 22216 patients who had an ischaemic stroke included in the CNSR from 2007 to 2008.We analysed baseline patient characteristics,GI bleeding and outcomes of patients who had an AIS,specifically stroke recurrence at 3,6 and 12 months.We used multivariable logistic regression to evaluate a possible association between GI bleeding and stroke recurrence.results Of the 12415 patients included in our study,12.3%,15.5%and 17.7%had a stroke recurrence at 3,6 and 12 months,respectively.GI bleeding was an independent stroke recurrence risk factor in patients after ischaemic stroke at 3 months(adjusted OR 1.481,95%CI 1.118 to 1.962),6 months(adjusted OR 1.448,95%CI 1.106 to 1.896)and 12 months(adjusted OR 1.350;95%CI 1.034 to 1.763).Conclusion GI bleeding was associated with the increased risk of stroke recurrence after an AIS.Wanliang Du Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Yuesong Pan Gaifen Liu Anxin Wang Ruijun Ji Liping Liu Hongqiu Gu Kehui Dong Penglian Wang Yongjun Wang 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2:7

4Fabrication of novel bifunctional nanohybrid based on layered rare-earth hydroxide with magnetic and fluorescent properties显示文摘We demonstrate the fabrication of a novel magnetic nanohybrid involving the drug molecule 5 aminolevulinic acid(5-ALA)intercalated Gd-Eu layered rare-earth hydroxide(LRH)coated on magnesium ferrite particles(MgFe2O4).The structure,thermostability,morphology,luminescence properties,cytotoxic effect and magnetism are investigated.The 5-ALA intercalated composite may correspond to a monolayered vertical arrangement,and the thermal stability of organics is enhanced after intercalation.The LRH precursor shows red emission of Eu^3+and the maximum emission peak of the composite is at 451 nm,corresponding to the blue emission.The detection of drug molecules can be realized through the change of luminescence.The magnetic nanohybrid shows strong magnetic sensitivity,which provides an easy and efficient way to separate 5-ALA-MgFe2O4@LGd0.95H:Eu0.05 particles from a sol or a suspension system and to carry drugs to targeted locations under an external magnetic field.The cytotoxic effect of MgFe2O4@LRH is observed with a sulforhodamine B(SRB)colorimetric assay,which has low cytotoxic effects on selected cells.The fabrication of novel bifunctional drug carriers based on LRH with magnetic and fluorescent properties has potential applications in drug detection and drug delivery.Qingyang GU jinyan LI Liangshuo JI Ruijun JU Haibo JIN Rongyue ZHANG 2020Frontiers of Materials Science2020,14,4:0
5Paper-based fluorescent devices for multifunctional assays:Biomarkers detection,inhibitors screening and chiral recognition显示文摘The development of a single analytical platform with different functions is highly desirable but remains a challenge at present.Here,a paper-based device based on fluorescent carbon dots(CDs)functionalized paper/MnO_(2)nanosheets(MnO_(2)NS)hybrid devices(PCD/NS)was proposed for single-device multi-function applications.MnO_(2)NS functioned as a fluorescence quencher of CDs and recognizer of H_(2)O_(2)released from the oxidase catalyzed system.Fluorescence recovery would occur after the decomposition of MnO_(2)NS induced by H_(2)O_(2),by which a simple and effective strategy could be developed for fluorescence monitoring multiplex biological events.Xanthine(XA)sensing,xanthine oxidase(XOD)inhibitors screening analysis and chiral recognition of glucose enantiomers were performed on PCD/NS to investigate the multifunctional application of the paper-based device.By means of PCD/NS,XA could be determined in the range of 0.1–40μmol/L with a low detection of limit of 0.06μmol/L.The IC_(50)value of allopurinol,the model inhibitor of XOD,was sensitively detected to be 7.4μmol/L.Glucose enantiomers were also recognized in terms of the specific fluorescence response to d-glucose.This work firstly presented a paper-based device capable of biomarkers detection,inhibitors screening and chiral recognition,which enlightened a promising strategy for the construction of multifunctional devices and hold the great potential application in clinical diagnosis and drug discovery.Wang Li Xiaoyue Zhang Siqi Chen Yibing Ji Ruijun Li 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,9:0
6In- hospital complications affect short- term and long- term mortality in ICH: a prospective cohort study显示文摘Background Medical complications strongly affected the mortality of patients with stroke.However,only limited research has studied the effect of in-hospital medical complications on the mortality of patients with spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH)globally.Using the China National Stroke Registry,the effect was prospectively and systematically investigated in patients with spontaneous ICH during their hospitalisation,at 3,6 and 12 months after disease onset.Methods This study collected data on patients over 18 years old with spontaneous ICH from 132 Chinese clinical centres across 32 provinces and four municipalities(Hong Kong included),from September 2007 to August 2008.Data on patient complications,death and other information were acquired through paper-based registry forms.Using multivariable logistic regression,the association of medical complications with stroke outcomes was evaluated.Results Of 3255 patients with spontaneous ICH,878(26.97%)had in-hospital medical complications.In-hospital medical complications were independent risk factors for death during the hospitalisation(adjusted OR 4.41,95% CI 3.18 to 6.12),at 3 months(adjusted OR 2.18,95% CI 1.70 to 2.80),6 months(adjusted OR 1.84,95% CI 1.45 to 2.34)and 12 months(adjusted OR 1.59,95% CI 1.26 to 2.01)after spontaneous ICH.Conclusion The results revealed that the short-term and long-term mortality of patients with spontaneous ICH in China was significantly associated with their in-hospital medical complications.Yaqing Zhang Yongjun Wang Ruijun Ji Anxin Wang Yilong Wang Zhonghua Yang Liping Liu Penglian Wang Xingquan Zhao 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:0
