| 1 | Multiple sulfur and oxygen isotope compositions in Beijing aerosol显示文摘Multiple sulfur isotopes(32S, 33 S, 34 S, 36S) and oxygen isotopes(16O, 18O) in Beijing aerosols were measured with MAT-253 isotope mass spectrometer. The δ34S values of Beijing aerosol samples range from 1.68‰ to 12.57‰ with an average value of 5.86‰, indicating that the major sulfur source is from direct emission during coal combustion. The δ18O values vary from 5.29‰ to 9.02‰ with an average value of 5.17‰, revealing that the sulfate in Beijing aerosols is mainly composed of the secondary sulfate. The main heterogeneous oxidation of SO2 in atmosphere is related to H2O2 in July and August, whereas H2O2 oxidation and Fe3+ catalytic oxidation with SO2 exist simultaneously in September and October. Remarkable sulfur isotope mass-independent fractionation effect is found in Beijing aerosols, which is commonly attributed to the photochemical oxidation of SO2 in the stratosphere. | 10 | Microcellular foamed polyamide 6/carbon nanotube composites withsuperior electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘Electromagnetic (EM) wave pollution causing damage to precision equipment and threatening thehealth of living organisms has attracted considerable attention. Herein, promising microcellular foamedpolyamide 6 (PA6)/carbon nanotube (CNT) composites for highly efficient EM wave absorption were successfully fabricated using supercritical CO_(2) foaming. Nanocomposites foams with a void fraction rangingfrom 38.7% to 85.1% were achieved, providing a platform to assess the correlation of the electrical conductivity, the dielectric permittivity and the EM wave absorption properties with porosity. Notably, theFoam-257.5C sample with a void fraction of 38.7% exhibited outstanding EM wave absorption characteristics at a thickness of only 1.59 mm and an ultra-low reflection loss value of -55.3 dB (99.9997% wave absorption). Most importantly, the effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of the Foam-257.5C sample couldcover the entire Ku band (12.4–18 GHz) by slightly adjusting the thickness from 1.20 to 1.60 mm. Thesuperior EM wave absorption performance of the Foam-257.5C sample was attributed to multiple reflections and scattering at the solid-gas interfaces, favorable impedance matching due to the existence ofa large polymer-air interface area, conductive loss near the interfaces and interfacial polarization. | 13 | Efficient synthesis of cyclic carbonates under atmospheric CO_(2) by DMAP-based ionic liquids: the difference of inert hydrogen atom and active hydrogen atom in cation显示文摘The coupling reaction of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) and epoxides is one of the most efficient pathways to achieve the carbon balance.However,to accomplish it under the mild conditions,especially under the atmospheric pressure,is still a perplexing problem.Three novel ionic liquids(ILs),[DMAPBrPC][TMGH],[DMAPBrPC][DBUH],and[DMAPBrPC][BTMA],are designed and synthesized.All of them display the excellent catalytic activity for the title reaction achieving the yield over 96.6% under the atmospheric CO_(2) pressure at 60℃.Interestingly,[DMAPBrPC][BTMA]with the inert hydrogen atom in cation exhibits the superior catalytic activity as compared to other two ILs with the protic hydrogen atom in cation along with the same anion.The active hydrogen atom in[DMAPBrPC][TMGH]and[DMAPBrPC][DBUH]would impede the–COO^(-)group to absorb CO 2,which is an unfavorable item for the reaction.Moreover,the strong hydrogen bond in[DMAPBrPC][TMGH]and[DMAPBrPC][DBUH]would lessen the nucleophilic ability of Br^(-) anion resulting in the inferior catalytic performance,which is further confirmed by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The cation without the active hydrogen atom could also be employed to design the ILs with the excellent catalytic feature when it is combined with the suitable anion. | Zhengkun Zhang Jinya Li Guanyao Yu Chao Zeng Menglong Wang Susu Huang Li Wang Jinglai Zhang | 2023 | Green Chemical Engineering2023,4,3: | 0 |

| 17 | Grapevine plantlets respond to different monochromatic lights by tuning photosynthesis and carbon allocation显示文摘The quality of planting materials is the foundation for productivity,longevity,and berry quality of perennial grapevines with a long lifespan.Manipulating the nursery light spectrum may speed up the production of healthy and high-quality planting vines but the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.Herein,the effects of different monochromatic lights(green,blue,and red)on grapevine growth,leaf photosynthesis,whole-plant carbon allocation,and transcriptome reprograming were investigated with white light as control.Results showed that blue and red lights were favorable for plantlet growth in comparison with white light.Blue light repressed excessive growth,significantly increased the maximum net photosynthetic rate(Pn)of leaves by 39.58%and leaf specific weight by 38.29%.Red light increased the dry weight of the stem by 53.60%,the starch content of the leaf by 53.63%,and the sucrose content of the stem by 230%.Green light reduced all photosynthetic indexes of the grape plantlet.Photosynthetic photon flux density(PPFD)/Ci–Pn curves indicated that blue light affected photosynthetic rate depending on the light intensity and CO2 concentration.RNA-seq analysis of different organs(leaf,stem,and root)revealed a systematic transcriptome remodeling and VvCOP1(CONSTITUTIVELY PHOTOMORPHOGENIC 1),VvHY5(ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5),VvHYH(HY5 HOMOLOG),VvELIP(early light-induced protein)and VvPIF3(PHYTOCHROME INTERACTING FACTOR 3)may play important roles in this shoot-to-root signaling.Furthermore,the correlation network between differential expression genes and physiological traits indicated that VvpsbS(photosystem II subunit S),Vvpsb28(photosystem II subunit 28),VvHYH,VvSUS4(sucrose synthase 4),and VvALDA(fructose-bisphosphate aldolase)were pertinent candidate genes in responses to different light qualities.Our results provide a foundation for optimizing the light recipe of grape plantlets and strengthen the understanding of light signaling and carbon metabolism under different monochromatic lights. | Menglong Liu Yan Zhao Peige Fan Junhua Kong Yongjian Wang Xiaobo Xu Meilong Xu Lijun Wang Shaohua Li Zhenchang Liang Wei Duan Zhanwu Dai | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,9: | 0 |
| 18 | Thermally insulating and fire-retardant bio-mimic structural composites with a negative Poisson's ratio for battery protection显示文摘Battery safety has attracted considerable attention worldwide due to the rapid development of wearable electronics and the steady increase in the production and use of electric vehicles.As battery failures are often associated with mechanical-thermal coupled behaviors,protective shielding materials with excellent mechanical robustness and flame-retardant properties are highly desired to mitigate thermal runaway.However,most of the thermal insulating materials are not strong enough to protect batteries from mechanical abuse,which is one of the most critical scenarios with catastrophic consequences.Here,inspired by wood,we have developed an effective approach to engineer a hierarchical nanocomposite via self-assembly of calcium silicate hydrate and polyvinyl alcohol polymer chains(referred as CSH wood).The versatile protective material CSH wood demonstrates an unprecedented combination of light weight(0.018 g cm-3),high stiffness(204 MPa in the axial direction),negative Poisson's ratio(-0.15),remarkable toughness(6.67×105 J m-3),superior thermal insulation(0.0204 W m-1 K-1 in the radial direction),and excellent fire retardancy(UL94-V0).When applied as a protective cover or a protective layer within battery packages,the tough CSH wood can resist high-impact load and block heat diffusion to block or delay the spread of fire,therefore significantly reducing the risk of property damage or bodily injuries caused by battery explosions.This work provides new pathways for fabricating advanced thermal insulating materials with large scalability and demonstrates great potential for the protection of electronic devices. | Fengyin Du Zuquan Jin Ruizhe Yang Menglong Hao Jiawei Wang Gang Xu Wenqiang Zuo Zifan Geng Hao Pan Tian Li Wei Zhang Wei She | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,12: | 0 |
