1Mechanical and Microstructural Properties of Ultra-fine Grained AZ91Magnesium Alloy Tubes Processed via Multi Pass Tubular Channel Angular Pressing(TCAP)显示文摘Ultra-fine grained(UFG) cylindrical tubes were produced via recently developed tubular channel angular pressing(TCAP) process through different passes from as-cast AZ91 magnesium alloy.The microstructure and mechanical properties of processed tube through one to four passes of TCAP process at 200 ℃ were investigated.Microhardness of the processed tube was increased to 98.5 HV after one pass from an initial value of 67 HV.An increase in the number of passes from one to higher number of passes has no more effect on the microhardness.Yield and ultimate strengths were increased by 4.3 and 1.4 times compared to those in as-cast condition.Notable increase in the strength was achieved after one pass of TCAP while higher number of passes has no more effect.Microstructural investigation shows notable decrease in the grain size to around 500 nm from the primary value of ~ 150 μm.Dissolution and distribution of hard Mg_(17)Al_(12) phase in the grain boundaries of dynamically recrystallized UFG AZ91 with a mean grain size of ~500 nm was an interesting issue of TCAP processing at 200 ℃ compared to other severe plastic deformation processes.G.Faraji P.Yavari S.Aghdamifar M.Mosavi Mashhadi 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,2:13
2Burial and thermal maturity modeling of the Middle Cretaceous-Early Miocene petroleum system,Iranian sector of the Persian Gulf显示文摘The Cretaceous Kazhdumi and Gurpi formations, Ahmadi Member of the Sarvak Formation, and Paleogene Pabdeh Formation are important source rock candidates of the Middle Cretaceous–Early Miocene petroleum system in the Persian Gulf. This study characterizes generation potential, type of organic matter, and thermal maturity of 262 cutting samples(marls and argillaceous limestones) from these rock units taken from 16 fields in the Iranian sector of the Persian Gulf. In addition, the burial and thermal histories of these source rocks were analyzed by one-dimensional basin modeling. Based on the total organic carbon and genetic potential values, fair hydrocarbon generation potential is suggested for the studied samples. Based on T max and vitrinite reflectance values, the studied samples are thermally immature to mature for hydrocarbon generation. The generated models indicate that studied source rocks are immature in central wells. The Gurpi and Pabdeh formations are immature and the Ahmadi Member and Kazhdumi Formation are early mature in the western wells. The Pabdeh Formation is within the main oil window and other source rocks are at the late oil window in the eastern wells.
